FTUK Instant Funding Rules, Flex and Futures Rules: Drawdown, Consistency and Scaling Plan
Review the documented rules, source notes, tools, and account checks recorded for FTUK Instant Funding Rules, Flex and Futures Rules: Drawdown, Consistency and Scaling Plan.
Rules can change: The firm or platform controls the current wording. Confirm the linked source and your dashboard before you trade or request a payout.
FTUK Instant Funding rules, Flex Challenge rules and futures rules in one place, with the rules that close accounts first. FTUK sells two forex accounts (Instant Funding and the pay-after-you-pass Flex Challenge) and two futures accounts (Flex Futures and Instant Sim Funding). The forex pair share a 5% daily drawdown, a 6% trailing drawdown that locks at the starting balance, a 2% floating-loss Account Protector and a consistency score that loosens from 20% to 40% as you scale. The futures pair use dollar end-of-day drawdowns, daily loss limits and a same-day close. Pick your account below, then work through the dollar tables, the calculators and the breach traps before you trade.

What can trip you up
Rows To Inspect First
These are the rules FTUK’s own pages say close accounts or block payouts. The labels explain why each row is surfaced; they are not a recommendation to buy or avoid any account.
Account Protector, two strikes
If the floating loss on open trades falls below -2% of the starting balance, FTUK closes the trades. On Instant Funding and Flex funded accounts the second trigger terminates the account (four triggers on One-Step and Two-Step). No stop loss is required, so this is your real per-moment risk cap.
Consistency against a 10% level target
At Level 1 your biggest winning day must be no more than 20% of total closed profit before a payout or a level-up. Against a 10% level target that means no single day above 2% of the account, so a fast pass in one or two big days cannot be paid out yet.
Martingale is a size test
FTUK flags any trade that risks at least 1.5 times the risk of the losing trade before it, whatever the instrument, direction or gap in time, and any added entry to a position that is already losing. It measures risk from stop distance, not lot size alone. Recent public payout complaints cite this rule.
FTUK Rule Checks
| Rule area | Official-source snapshot | What to verify + evidence |
|---|---|---|
| Daily drawdown (forex) 5%, reset 22:00 UTC | Always 5%, re-set every day at 22:00 UTC from the higher of your closed balance or equity at that moment (open and closed trades). It applies on Instant Funding at every level and in both stages of the Flex Challenge. | Holding a winning trade through 22:00 UTC lifts the next day’s starting point to the higher equity, so the day’s floor moves up with it. FTUK’s articles state 5% but do not say whether it is 5% of the starting balance or of that day’s reference value; size for the smaller of the two. Source: FTUK Instant Funding Program (FOREX) and New Flex Challenge Explained and What time zone does your platform use? – rules table and daily drawdown note – checked October 11, 2026. |
| Maximum drawdown (forex) 6% trailing, then locked | Starts 6% below the starting balance and trails your highest closing balance. Once the floor reaches the starting balance it locks there and never moves again. FTUK calls it relative drawdown based on balance. | FTUK’s 10K example: floor $9,400; at a $10,250 balance it is $9,650; at $10,900 it reaches $10,000 and locks; a later $300 loss leaves it at $10,000. The Increased Drawdown add-on (Instant only) widens 6% to 8%. Source: FTUK What Are the Drawdown Limits? and New Flex Challenge Explained and Increased Drawdown (+2%) – drawdown examples and add-on article – checked October 11, 2026. |
| Account Protector -2% floating, 2 strikes | If floating PnL on open trades falls below -2% of the starting balance, all such trades are closed and it counts as a violation. Instant Funding and Flex funded accounts are terminated on the second trigger; One-Step and Two-Step on the fourth. The Flex Challenge article calls the first trigger a soft breach and the second a hard breach. | The policy update applies to accounts bought from January 27, 2026. An older part of the same article also closes trades when exposure on one instrument passes 2%. FTUK says it may assess each case individually. Source: FTUK What is the Account Protector? and What Are Account Breaches? and New Flex Challenge Explained – policy update effective 27/01/2026 – checked October 11, 2026. |
| Consistency score 20% to 40% by level | Biggest winning day / current total closed profit x 100 must be at or below the level limit before a payout or a scale-up. Instant Funding and Flex funded accounts start at 20%; futures accounts use 20% (Instant Sim) or 40% (Flex Futures funded). | Profit counts as closed at the 22:00 UTC rollover. The score resets after a payout or scaling, and cannot be reset manually. Above the limit is not a breach; you keep trading until it falls. Source: FTUK What is the Consistency Score? and What is the scaling plan for Instant Funding? and New Flex Challenge Explained – formula, notes and level table – checked October 11, 2026. |
| Level target and scaling 10% per level | On Instant Funding and Flex funded accounts each 10% profit moves you a level: split 65% to 90% (Instant) or 60% to 90% (Flex), consistency 20% to 40%. Instant payouts are based on the level target reached, not on profit above 10%. | Withdraw all of a level’s profit in one request (10% or more) to get that level’s split. Several smaller requests (each under 10%) are paid at the standard 65% (Instant) or 60% (Flex). Source: FTUK What is the scaling plan for Instant Funding? and New Flex Challenge Explained and How do I Request a Profit Payout? – scaling tables and request-payout note – checked October 11, 2026. |
| Martingale and anti-scaling 1.5x risk after a loss | Risk % = (stop distance x lot size x contract size) / initial balance x 100. A trade that risks at least 1.5 times the risk of the losing trade before it is martingale. Adding to a same-direction position on the same instrument while it is losing is anti-scaling. | Only losing trades that risked more than 0.1% count. Without a stop loss, the realised loss is used as the risk. Scaling into winners and trading other instruments while one is losing are allowed. Source: FTUK What Is Martingale? and Restricted Strategies for Manual Trading – risk formula, rule and examples – checked October 11, 2026. |
| Minimum trade duration 30 seconds | Every trade on every forex and futures account must stay open at least 30 seconds. A stop loss or take profit that closes it sooner still counts as a violation. | Trades under 30 seconds can be classed as high-frequency trading or tick scalping, which are banned strategies and can close the account. Source: FTUK Is there a minimum trade duration? and What Are Account Breaches? – rule text – checked October 11, 2026. |
| Stop loss not required | Since February 20, 2025 a stop loss is not required on any account. FTUK still asks you to keep floating risk comfortably below 2%. | Exception: Instant Funding accounts bought before February 20, 2025 still need a stop loss on every trade, placed within 60 seconds of entry. Source: FTUK Do I Need to Use a Stop Loss? – rule text and exception – checked October 11, 2026. Full source URL |
| Partial closes Instant and Flex | Partial closing is allowed intraday, but whatever remains must be closed by the end of the same trading day. Positions opened within 30 minutes of each other on one instrument count as one position. | Carrying a reduced position overnight resets your consistency score; repeated violations can breach the account. The Instant program table shows “Partial trade closing: No” without the intraday exception, so read the dedicated policy. Source: FTUK Partial trade closing Policy and Instant Funding Program (FOREX) – partial close policy – checked October 11, 2026. |
| Copy trading and multiple accounts no FTUK-to-FTUK copying | Copying between your own external account and an FTUK account is allowed in either direction. Copying between FTUK accounts is not, and placing the same trades on several FTUK accounts is a violation. | Up to 3 forex and 3 futures accounts at once. FTUK asks for a different strategy on each and says trading the same asset at the same time across accounts can be flagged as copy trading. Source: FTUK Is Copy Trading Allowed? and How Many Accounts Can I Trade Simultaneously? – copy-trading and account-limit articles – checked October 11, 2026. |
| VPN, VPS and IP one fixed IP | A fixed VPS or VPN is allowed if trades come from the same IP address. Many IP addresses from different countries, or hiding your IP, ends the account. | The Terms add that trading IPs must show from the same region as the billing address. Futures rules: no VPN or IP masking that misrepresents your location; contact support before using a fixed VPS or travelling. Source: FTUK Can I Use a VPN or VPS? and Terms of Service and Futures Trading Rules: Permitted & Prohibited Trading – VPN article, Terms section 12 and futures rules – checked October 11, 2026. |
| Inactivity 30 days | Place and close at least one trade every 30 days or the account is hard-breached automatically. | For a 30 to 90 day break, tell FTUK first and it will mark the account to stay open. Longer breaks are decided case by case. Source: FTUK What is the Inactivity Rule? – rule text – checked October 11, 2026. Full source URL |
| Futures loss limits EOD drawdown + daily lock | Flex Futures and Instant Sim use a dollar end-of-day drawdown that follows the highest completed end-of-day balance. Hitting it is a permanent breach. The daily loss limit locks the account for the rest of the day only. | Positions cannot be held overnight or over the weekend: warning from 3:35 PM CT, automatic close at 3:50 PM CT. Trading bots and EAs are not allowed on futures. FTUK Instant Funding Rules
Instant Funding skips the evaluation: you buy the account and trade it as a funded account from Level 1. There is no profit target to get paid, no minimum days and no time limit. What replaces the target in practice is the consistency score, the Account Protector and the 10% level target that decides your split and how much of a payout counts.
| Rule | Level 1 | Level 2 | Level 3 | Level 4 | Level 5 | Level 6 |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Daily drawdown | 5% | 5% | 5% | 5% | 5% | 5% |

| Account Protector | -2% | -2% | -2% | -2% | -2% | -2% |
Stop loss is not mandatory, overnight and weekend holding is allowed, news trading is allowed, and payouts are on demand. The two FTUK articles disagree on Level 5 (30% or 40%); plan for 30% until your dashboard shows otherwise.
| Account | Daily drawdown (5%) | Starting floor (6%) | Protector (-2%) | Level target (10%) | Biggest day allowed at target (20%) | Price Oct 11 |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| $5,000 | $250 | $4,700 | $100 | $500 | $100 | $76.30 (list $109) |
| $10,000 | $500 | $9,400 | $200 | $1,000 | $200 | $125.30 (list $179) |
| $25,000 | $1,250 | $23,500 | $500 | $2,500 | $500 | $244.30 (list $349) |
| $50,000 | $2,500 | $47,000 | $1,000 | $5,000 | $1,000 | $454.30 (list $649) |

- The 6% floor trails your highest closing balance until it reaches the starting balance, then locks. On $50,000 the floor starts at $47,000 and locks at $50,000 once you have closed at $53,000.
- A 10% level target with a 20% consistency limit means no single day may make more than 2% of the account by the time you reach the target. On $50,000 that is a $5,000 target and a $1,000 biggest day.
- To request a payout the account must be in profit, flat (no open or pending trades) and within the consistency limit.
- Payouts are calculated on the level target reached, not on profit beyond 10% (up to Level 6). Taking a level’s profit in several requests of under 10% pays the standard 65%, not the level rate.
- Add-ons sold at checkout: Increased Drawdown (6% to 8%, daily stays 5%) and a 20% Profit Boost on payouts. Free add-ons from promotions apply to Level 1 only, and purchased add-ons exclude news trading.
- The “today” prices include the 30% shown on the selector; at checkout the 10K list price showed $179 before a code. Treat prices as a snapshot, not a rule.

FTUK Flex Challenge Rules (Evaluation and Funded)
The Flex Challenge is FTUK’s pay-after-you-pass account: a $9 start for every size, one evaluation step, and an activation fee due only after you pass. The rules change between the two stages:
