Formula Notes
- Discounted challenge fee: challenge fee x (1 – discount percent). Discounts above 100% are capped at 100%.
- Challenge attempt cost: discounted challenge fee x paid attempts.
- Reset cost: reset fee x paid resets.
- Recurring cost: monthly or recurring fee x months held.
- Total estimated cost: challenge attempt cost + reset cost + recurring cost + activation fee + other fees.
- Cost per paid attempt: (challenge attempt cost + reset cost) / (paid attempts + paid resets).
- First-month outlay: challenge attempt cost + reset cost + activation fee + other fees + one month of recurring fees when months held is at least 1.
- Recurring share of total: recurring cost / total estimated cost.
- Scenario comparison: Scenario B total minus Scenario A total, shown as a plain more/less difference.
- No payout offset formula: this calculator intentionally does not calculate payout recovery, profit, expected value, or a target payout.
What This Calculator Does Not Know
Know the limits: this is a planning calculator, not financial or trading advice. It only totals the costs you enter — it does not verify live prices, check whether a discount is active, predict whether you will pass, or promise that any payout will be approved. Cost recovery is not guaranteed and may never happen.
This calculator does not know the current terms for any specific prop firm unless you enter them. It does not verify challenge eligibility, account approval, payout approval, withdrawal timing, tax treatment, local legality, exchange rates, platform costs, market-data fees, or whether a discount code is active. It also does not model pass probability, rule failure, account forfeiture, behavioral risk, or the likelihood that any payout will be requested or approved.
Before relying on a number, check the firm’s current checkout page, terms, help center, payout policy, dashboard notices, and any account-specific disclosures.
