Cheapest futures prop firms: a cheap sticker price unrolled into activation, reset, data and second-month line items with the true cost to first payout at the bottom

Freshness: Every price, code, activation fee, reset and payout gate below was read from each firm’s live pricing selector, checkout or help center on September 27, 2026. Quick picks for the cheapest futures prop firms

Cheapest overall: DayTraders.com. $40 for the 25K Static evaluation and $50 for the 50K Static, one-time, plus a flat $5 activation at every size, with non-professional data covered and no code to remember. Nothing else in this post gets you to a sim-funded futures account for less cash, and the 50K Trail ($75 all-in) carries $2,500 of drawdown. The price you pay instead is patience: 10 qualifying days and a $2,600 buffer before the first payout.

  • Cheapest 50K monthly eval: TradeDay Quick Pay Intraday, $59 a month with TDNEW ($131 list), $0 activation, day-one payouts, $2,000 drawdown.
  • Cheapest 50K one-time eval: FundedNext Futures Flex, $69.99 with FNFLEX ($133.99 list), $0 activation, 95% split.
  • Cheapest 25K one-time eval with no payout consistency rule: Lucid Trading LucidFlex, $50.30 with VAULT and the daily loss limit on.
  • Cheapest one-time eval with free CME data: Tradeify Growth 25K, $59 with SEP through September 30, 2026.
  • Cheapest eval at the best-rated firm: MyFundedFutures Builder 25K, $63 with CLUB, one-time since August 25, 2026, 4.9 on Trustpilot.
  • Cheapest instant funding: Top One Futures IGNITE 25K, $109 with SEPT, no evaluation, no activation.
  • Cheapest one-time 25K on paper: Phidias 25K Express to Live, $69.25 with Q4PUSH, $500 static drawdown, Trustpilot rating currently hidden.
  • Cautionary entries: Topstep, Apex, Take Profit Trader, Bulenox and Earn2Trade all advertise a price that is not the price to a first payout.

How we ranked the cheapest futures prop firms

Five-step ranking process for the cheapest futures prop firms: fees, the rule checked on evaluation and funded, payout terms, Trustpilot sentiment, and the firm’s own videos
The five checks behind every ranking in the Prop Trader’s Guide.

Sticker price is the wrong number. The ranking axis in this post is the true cost to a first payout on a $50K account, computed the same way for every firm from its live pages:

Cost to first payout = evaluation price at today’s promo (reference price and code recorded) + activation, PA, PRO, Master or LiveSim fee + [scenario B only: one reset or one extra monthly cycle] + mandatory data or platform fee × minimum trading days to the first-payout gate ($0 where bundled)

  1. Two sizes, every product. We priced the smallest tier the firm sells and the $50K tier for each evaluation and direct-funded product (up to four per firm), reading the checkout or selector price, the crossed-out reference price and the code state on the freshness date.
  2. Three billing shapes, kept apart. One-time, monthly-until-pass, and monthly-plus-activation are different products even at the same first-month price; the lead table groups them.
  3. Two scenarios. Scenario A is a pass in the first cycle with no reset. Scenario B adds one reset, one extra 30-day cycle, or a second purchase where the firm sells no reset. Optional add-ons (Level 2, second logins) are excluded and listed separately.
  4. Drawdown per dollar. Max loss allowance ÷ scenario A cost, so a $55 account with a $1,000 static drawdown is compared honestly with a $145 account carrying $2,000 EOD trailing.
  5. Trust as the tiebreak. Trustpilot count, score and the recurring billing themes on page 1, plus our graveyard check. A firm whose rating Trustpilot has hidden for a guideline breach cannot win a tiebreak and is ranked last among eligible firms with the banner stated. Every firm is paired with one video from its own YouTube channel, labeled vendor-produced, or a stated “no official video”.

Rank order is scenario A cost at $50K on the firm’s cheapest $0-activation product (or its cheapest all-in product where none exists), then drawdown per dollar, then trust. Firms whose advertised price sits well below their cost to first payout form a cautionary group after the eight eligible picks, ordered by their cheapest true path. No firm paid for placement and BestProps has no affiliate relationships, so commission cannot affect ranking. Full methodology: how we rank; our running data table is cheapest by true cost.

Cheapest futures prop firms compared on true cost to first payout at $50K

Rows are grouped by billing shape: one-time first, then monthly-until-pass, then monthly-plus-activation. The cost column shows scenario A (pass in the first cycle) / scenario B (one reset, extra cycle or repurchase). Cautionary firms appear on their cheapest path with the advertised path in the caveat column, so a $49 Topstep and a $95 Topstep sit in the same table. All cells reflect the firm’s live pages on September 27, 2026; “not published” means the firm does not state the figure and we did not guess.

Cheapest futures prop firm evals at the smallest tier, with drawdown per dollar

Headline prices live on the smallest tier, so here is the same arithmetic on each firm’s cheapest sold size (Topstep’s smallest size is 50K). The last column is the drawdown allowance divided by the scenario A cost; higher means more room to be wrong per dollar paid.

DayTraders.com is the cheapest futures prop firm for a one-time eval with a $5 activation

Verdict: The 25K Static evaluation is $40 one-time plus a flat $5 Pro activation, $45 all-in to a sim-funded account, and the 50K Static is $55 ($50 + $5); no promo code exists because the firm dropped codes for one standard price, so the number you see is the number you pay. The cost that is not on the card is the payout gate: ten qualifying days and a $2,600 buffer on the 50K before the first request.

Video: “What Is Funded Trading? How DayTraders.com Helps You Trade Without Risking Your Own Money!,” DayTraders.com official YouTube channel, 2025-10-10. Source type: vendor-produced. Why selected: DayTraders.com has no pricing or activation video on its channel; this is the firm’s own introduction to how its funded accounts work.

On the pricing page on September 27, 2026: 25K Static $40, 50K Static $50, 50K Trail $70, 50K EOD $105, each one-time (an optional monthly cycle at the same price also exists) with no reference price and no code; the firm’s own “always best promo” code DT quoted 0% off at checkout. Pro activation is $5 at every size. There are no resets: a failed evaluation or Pro account is a new purchase. Non-professional CME data is covered; Level 2 is an optional $10–$30 a month.

Pro accounts pay 100% of sim profit, $500 minimum in $500 steps via Plane. To request the first payout on a 50K Pro you need 8 qualifying days of $200 or more (the 2 evaluation days do not carry over), a balance of at least $52,600, a best day under 30% of cycle profit, and a $2,000 cap per request. That makes 10 trading days the minimum path to a first payout. Our head-to-heads: DayTraders vs Topstep and Apex vs DayTraders.

Trader sentiment: 493 Trustpilot reviews, 4.6/5. Praise: fast, named support fixing login and payment mistakes within minutes; payouts approved within minutes through Plane; static drawdown options and low prices. Complaints: a January 2026 rule change requiring four qualifying days per 30 days to keep Pro accounts alive, called a “scam” by several one-star reviewers; instrument rollover disputes and platform freezes.

  • Choose it when: you want the lowest cash outlay to a funded futures account in this post ($45 on the 25K Static, $55 on the 50K Static, $75 on the 50K Trail with a $2,500 drawdown) and your strategy produces small, repeatable $100–$200 days.
  • Watch out for: the real cost is the gate, not the fee: 2 qualifying days to pass, 8 more plus a $1,600 (25K) or $2,600 (50K) buffer before the first payout, no resets, no refunds, and a 4-qualifying-days-per-30-days activity rule that expires idle one-time accounts.

TradeDay is the cheapest futures prop firm on a monthly eval with day-one payouts

Verdict: Quick Pay Intraday is $45 a month at 25K and $59 a month at 50K with code TDNEW ($100 and $131 list), $0 activation, free Level 1 data, and a funded account you can withdraw from on day one; it is the cheapest 50K row in this post that also has the best drawdown-per-dollar ratio ($2,000 for $59). The catches are the 30-day rebill until you pass or cancel and a 50/50 split until $4,000 of profit.

Video: “Henry's Story – The Best Prop Firm for Getting Paid,” TradeDay official YouTube channel, 2026-09-07. Source type: vendor-produced. Why selected: TradeDay’s channel has no pricing or activation video; this is the firm’s own funded-trader story from September 2026, the only current upload from the official channel about getting paid.

The homepage cards on September 27, 2026 show Quick Pay Intraday 25K “$100 $45 per month” and 50K “$131 $59 per month” with code TDNEW at 55% off (no expiry shown); Fast Pass (EOD drawdown, 45% consistency) is $59 and $85 a month. Activation is $0 on every product. Resets are $45 (25K) and $59 (50K) on the cards, and a failed evaluation resets free on each 30-day renewal. Whether TDNEW applies to the renewal is not published. Level 1 CME data is free on evaluation and Funded Sim; a $49 a month Level 2 bundle is optional. Our record: TradeDay rules.

Quick Pay Funded Sim pays from any positive balance after a 5-day evaluation minimum plus 1 funded day, $250 minimum, no buffer and no consistency rule, via Riseworks (US wire free). The split is 50/50 while profit is under $4,000 and 80/20 above it. Fast Pass funded accounts need 5 profitable days and carry 45% consistency and a $1,500 per-cycle cap on 50K. See TradeDay payouts and status.

Trader sentiment: 1,439 Trustpilot reviews, 4.6/5. Praise: daily payouts approved within hours and deposited to Rise within minutes; simple rules without reset gimmicks; low price. Complaints: a three-year customer double-charged for an add-on after cancelling, refund refused under the 72-hour rule; long-term users reporting declining support engagement. More context: TradeDay pulse.

  • Choose it when: you expect to pass inside one 30-day cycle and want the cheapest 50K account with the most drawdown per dollar and a day-one payout with no buffer.
  • Watch out for: the subscription rebills every 30 days until you pass or cancel, the evaluation has a 30% consistency objective and a 5-day minimum, and Quick Pay funded profit is split 50/50 until $4,000.
  • Current offers: see our TradeDay deals page.

FundedNext Futures is the cheapest futures prop firm for a one-time 50K eval with no activation fee

Verdict: The Flex 50K challenge is $69.99 with code FNFLEX against a $133.99 list price, one-time, $0 activation, no subscription and no platform fee, which makes it the cheapest one-time 50K evaluation we found at any firm; the price applies to your first two purchases ($79.99 from the third), and every payout loses up to 3.5% to a processing fee.

Video: “How to Activate Your FundedNext Futures Account | Tradovate Setup,” FundedNext Futures official YouTube channel, 2026-08-19. Source type: vendor-produced. Why selected: FundedNext’s channel has no pricing video; this is the firm’s own walkthrough of activating the futures account on Tradovate, the stage where the “no activation fee” claim matters.

On fundednext.com/futures on September 27, 2026: Flex 50K $133.99 crossed out to $69.99 with FNFLEX (the checkout showed “FNFLEX applied, $69.99, -$64.00”; the help center says $69.99 for the first two purchases, $79.99 after). Legacy 25K is $79.99 with no promo; Rapid Pro and Rapid Daily 25K are $159.98 list, $79.99 with code RAPID. Activation is $0 on every futures challenge. Resets: Flex 50K $77.99, Legacy 25K $73.99, Rapid 25K $84.99–$89.99. No data fee is itemised on the sim stage (non-professional Tradovate certification); Level 2 is bought from Tradovate directly. Our record: FundedNext rules.

Flex pays 95% after 5 benchmark days of $200 or more and $500 of cycle profit, capped at 50% of profit or $1,500 on the first request, with the account concluded after 5 payouts. Rapid Daily pays daily at 90% once the balance clears a $52,100 buffer (50K), so a first payout is possible on day 2. Up to 3.5% is deducted from every Performance Reward. Methods: USDT/USDC, RiseWorks, bank transfer. See FundedNext payouts.

Trader sentiment: 80,200 Trustpilot reviews, 4.5/5. Praise: fast, always-available live support with named agents; 24-hour payout processing and clear rules; smooth Tradovate setup. Complaints: account terminations for alleged copy trading or “hyperactivity” with refused refunds (several one-star reviews in the week of September 21–27, 2026); denied or delayed payouts.

  • Choose it when: you want the lowest one-time 50K price with $0 activation, an EOD-only drawdown and a 95% split, or a 1-day pass and a day-2 payout on Rapid Daily 25K at $79.99.
  • Watch out for: the 40% consistency rule inside the Flex challenge raises your target if one day exceeds $1,000, the first Flex payout is capped at $1,500, a breach costs a $77.99 reset, and every payout carries a processing fee of up to 3.5%.

Lucid Trading is the cheapest futures prop firm for a one-time 25K eval with no payout consistency rule

Verdict: LucidFlex 25K is $50.30 with code VAULT and the Daily Loss Limit switched on ($89 crossed out), one-time, $0 activation, with a $50 reset and no buffer or consistency test at payout; the 50K LucidFlex is $90.20 and the 50K LucidDaily $76.60. The number to know is the $500 minimum payout on a 50%-of-profit cap, which means $1,000 of net profit before the first request.

Video: “The Closet Within: The Lucid Trading Story,” Lucid Trading official YouTube channel, 2026-05-13. Source type: vendor-produced. Why selected: Lucid’s official channel has only two uploads and no pricing video; this four-minute brand story is the only firm-made introduction available.

Lucid’s homepage selector prices each card by drawdown toggle; on September 27, 2026 with VAULT applied: LucidFlex 25K $50.30 (DLL on) or $65.30 (DLL off) against $89 struck out; LucidFlex 50K $90.20 or $105.20 against $146; LucidDaily 50K $76.60 (intraday, DLL on) against $156; LucidPro 50K $115.40 against $192. Every plan is one-time with $0 activation. Resets: $50 (Flex 25K), $90 (Flex 50K), $90 (Daily 50K), $115 (Pro 50K). No data, platform or per-withdrawal fee is published anywhere official, so treat that as unverified, not $0. Our head-to-heads: Apex vs Lucid and Lucid vs Topstep.

All plans pay 90/10 with a $500 minimum. LucidFlex needs 5 separate days of $100 (25K) or $150 (50K) and pays 50% of profit up to $2,000, with no buffer and no consistency rule. LucidDaily allows daily requests once the balance clears a $52,100 buffer (50K) but runs an intraday trailing drawdown when funded. LucidPro adds a 40% consistency test and the same buffer. Paid by Plaid, WorkMarket or crypto. See Lucid Trading payouts and status.

Trader sentiment: 6,029 Trustpilot reviews, 4.3/5. Praise: very fast payouts (Plaid in minutes); simple, clear rules and low pricing; clean dashboard. Complaints: accounts locked or banned at the moment of the first payout on hedging or copy-trading allegations with no evidence shown (several one-star reviews September 24–27, 2026); Plaid ID loops blocking pending payouts. More context: Lucid Trading pulse.

  • Choose it when: you want the lowest one-time 25K ticket with no buffer and no consistency test at payout and can string together five $100-plus days.
  • Watch out for: the DLL-on price is only visible after clicking the toggle, no data or platform fee is published at all, LucidDaily funded accounts trail intraday, and a run of September 2026 reviews describe bans at the first payout request.

Tradeify is the cheapest futures prop firm for a one-time Growth eval with free CME data

Verdict: Growth 25K is $59 with code SEP ($99 list) and Growth 50K $87 ($145 list), one-time, $0 activation, free Level 1 CME data and no platform surcharge; the promo is dated (ends September 30, 2026) and resets are not discountable ($60 on Growth 25K, $95 on Growth 50K). The price buys a 35% consistency rule and a $1,500 cap on the first 50K payout.

Video: “Ep. 8 | Get Funded in 24 Hours (Tradeify Growth Plan Explained),” Tradeify official YouTube channel, 2026-01-12. Source type: vendor-produced. Why selected: Tradeify TV’s Growth explainer is the firm’s own video on its cheapest product and states “zero activation fees” in the description.

The homepage cards on September 27, 2026 show Growth 25K “$99 $59” and Growth 50K “$145 $87” with code SEP (40% off, “ends 30 September 11:59 PM EST”, then 30%); Select is $109/$65 (25K) and $165/$99 (50K). Every product is one-time with $0 activation. Resets per the pricing reference: Growth $60 (25K) and $95 (50K), Select $75 and $109; codes do not apply to resets. Level 1 CME data is $0 with a signed non-professional agreement (a $300 a month professional fee applies otherwise). Our record: Tradeify rules.

Growth pays 90/10 after 5 profitable days of more than $100 (25K) or $150 (50K), with the balance at or above $26,500 or $53,000, best day under 35%, and a first payout capped at $1,000 or $1,500; minimum $250 (25K) or $500 (50K). Select Flex drops the consistency rule when funded. Paid via Rise or Plane. See Tradeify payouts and status.

Trader sentiment: 4,828 Trustpilot reviews, 4.4/5. Praise: fast, responsive support that reviewers name individually; payouts described as fast and transparent; easy setup and achievable goals. Complaints: funded accounts removed during KYC or “compliance review” with no rule cited (multiple one-star reviews September 23–27, 2026); refund disputes. More context: Tradeify pulse.

  • Choose it when: you want a one-time 25K eval under $60 with no activation, data or platform fee and you are fine with a 35% consistency rule on funded payouts.
  • Watch out for: the SEP price expires September 30, 2026, the EOD trailing drawdown is enforced in real time against open P&L, and a failed Growth 50K costs a non-discountable $95 reset.
  • Current offers: see our Tradeify deals page.

MyFundedFutures is the cheapest futures prop firm with a one-time eval and daily payouts

Verdict: Since August 25, 2026 every MFFU evaluation is a one-time charge with $0 activation and no itemised data fee: Builder 25K is $105 list and $63 with code CLUB ($52.50 at the 50%-first-eval checkout price), Builder 50K $153 and $92, Rapid 50K $209 and $125. It pairs the highest Trustpilot score in this post (4.9 on 22,008 reviews) with a $500 minimum and a 3-day path to a first payout; the catch is that no reset price is published and Rapid has no reset at all.

The plan pages on September 27, 2026 show Builder 25K $105 → $63 and Builder 50K $153 → $92 with CLUB (40% off, labelled a lifetime promo), Rapid and Rapid EOD 50K $209 → $125, Pro 50K $265 → $159; the logged-out checkout selector shows a further 50% first-evaluation price ($52.50 / $76.50 / $104.50). All plans first clear a buffer of the max-loss limit plus $100 ($2,100 on 50K). Rapid and Rapid EOD then pay daily at 90/10, $500 minimum, with no funded consistency rule, from 24 hours after the first funded trade. Builder pays every 48 hours at 80/20 with a 50% consistency test per cycle and a $2,000 cap (50K). Paid via Riseworks or Plaid. See MyFundedFutures payouts and status.

Trader sentiment: 22,008 Trustpilot reviews, 4.9/5. Praise: named support agents resolving issues within minutes; payouts arriving in Riseworks in seconds; quick no-questions refunds. Complaints: funded accounts breached or closed for reasons traders dispute (overnight fills, “technical difficulties”, four accounts closed with no rule cited, September 22–24, 2026); KYC and device-sharing bans.
