BestProps wants consequential claims to remain traceable, scoped, and correct. Prop-firm prices, programs, rules, platforms, eligibility, and payout conditions can change, and BestProps can also make mistakes. This policy explains how to report a possible error, how BestProps checks a correction request, and when a visible correction note is appropriate.
The accountable organizational byline is the BestProps Research Team. The complete research and source standard is in the BestProps Editorial and AI Methodology.
What to report
Please report a possible factual error, stale consequential claim, missing condition, source conflict, broken source, or presentation that could materially mislead a reader. Useful reports can involve a firm’s price, plan, account stage, size, drawdown, payout eligibility, approval process, platform support, geographic restriction, promotion, commercial disclosure, or the scope of a BestProps conclusion.
Differences of opinion are welcome, but an editorial conclusion is not automatically a factual error. The BestProps scoring and verification methodology explains how document-based facts, calculations, evidence labels, and fit-based editorial judgments differ.
How to send a correction
Use the BestProps contact page and include:
- the BestProps page URL;
- the exact statement or section you believe is wrong or stale;
- the reason it may be inaccurate or misleading;
- a direct supporting source, preferably the current controlling terms or another official primary source; and
- the date you accessed that source.
If the issue concerns your own account, remove account numbers, payment details, login credentials, tax information, and other unnecessary sensitive information. BestProps may need public documentation to verify a site-wide claim and cannot resolve a private account dispute on a trader’s behalf.
How BestProps checks a report
- Locate the exact published statement and its scope.
- Inspect the source cited by the reader and the source record used by BestProps.
- Check the most controlling current source available, including the relevant firm, program, stage, account size, jurisdiction, and effective date.
- Compare conflicts to determine whether they reflect different dates or scopes rather than one universal answer.
- Correct, qualify, refresh, remove, or retain the statement based on the evidence, and recheck known dependent pages when the claim is shared.
Search snippets, reviews, aggregators, forums, screenshots, and social posts can identify a possible change, but they do not by themselves verify a changing firm term. BestProps does not resolve an evidence gap by guessing.
Correction, refresh, clarification, or retraction
- Material correction: fixes an inaccurate statement or materially misleading omission that could affect a reader’s decision.
- Routine refresh: updates information that was accurate for its stated source date but later changed.
- Clarification: narrows or explains wording that was supportable but could reasonably be misunderstood.
- Retraction or removal: removes a claim, section, or page whose central premise cannot be supported or responsibly repaired.
- Minor edit: fixes spelling, grammar, formatting, accessibility text, or a non-substantive broken link without changing the meaning.
When BestProps adds a correction note
A material correction should receive a visible dated note on the affected page. The note should identify what changed and, when useful, why it changed. BestProps should not silently rewrite a material error in a conclusion, comparison, price, rule, payout statement, eligibility condition, risk caveat, or commercial disclosure.
Routine refreshes may update a source-check date and the affected terms without a correction label when the earlier wording was accurate for its stated date. Minor edits do not require a public note. WordPress revisions and guarded change records may preserve more implementation detail than the reader-facing note.
AI-assisted tools and corrections
AI-assisted tools and guarded automation may help locate dependent language, compare source text, draft a bounded correction, validate links, or verify that a published change appears as intended. AI output and automated checks are not evidence and do not count as human verification. A human-review label is used only when a person performs and records the stated review.
Commercial independence and limits
A commercial relationship cannot block a supported correction, turn an unsupported claim into a fact, or suppress a material caveat. The BestProps Commercial Disclosure explains the site’s commercial standard.
This policy is a correction standard, not a promise that every page is continuously current or free from error. A visible checked date records the stated source review; terms may change afterward. Readers should verify current controlling terms before buying an account, placing a trade, or making another consequential decision.
