TL;DR: A perps prop firm sells an evaluation on perpetual futures: contracts with no expiry date, usually margined in USDC or USDT and, for crypto, tradable around the clock. BestProps tracks six programs: My Funded Perps, Vest Markets, Crypto Fund Trader (its Bybit option), E8 Markets’ perpetuals market, Kraken Prop and Propr. All six describe their accounts as simulated in their terms. Vest’s own docs also say “real capital”, and we flag that conflict below. List prices start at $10 to $40, depending on the firm and account type. Profit splits run from 50% (Crypto Fund Trader Instant, first level) to 100% (E8’s paid option). Payout rules range from on demand to “after 15 traded days”. US access varies by firm and, for Crypto Fund Trader, depends on Bybit. No firm is the best for every trader. The tables below show what each firm publishes so you can match a program to your own trading plan.
Checked October 26, 2026 against each firm’s own website, help centre, docs and terms. BestProps did not buy an account, trade, pass an evaluation or request a payout at any of these firms. Prices and rules are read from the firms’ public pages and were not verified by purchase.
Perps prop firms at a glance
Each row is the firm’s perpetual futures program only. Crypto Fund Trader and E8 Markets also sell non-perps programs, which are not covered here. “Cheapest entry” is the lowest list price before codes for an account that pays out in cash or crypto. “Account type” is how the firm’s own terms describe it.
| Firm | Venue or price feed | Account type (firm’s terms) | Cheapest entry (list) | Activation fee | Payout frequency | Profit split | Instant funding | US residents | BestProps research |

What a perps prop firm is
A perpetual futures contract, or perp, tracks an asset price but never expires. Exchanges keep the perp’s price close to the underlying market with a funding rate: a periodic payment between long and short holders. Perps started in crypto and are now listed on stocks, indices, gold, oil and currency pairs too.
A perps prop firm sells an evaluation account on these contracts. You pay a one-time fee and trade a simulated balance under loss limits. If you hit the profit target without breaking a rule, you move to a funded stage and can request a share of the simulated profit. Every program on this page works this way. Each charges an upfront fee per account; none of the six lists a monthly subscription for these plans.
The model is new. Kraken launched Kraken Prop on May 27, 2026. My Funded Perps opened payout requests on September 11, 2026. Propr launched its paper-trading platform in March 2026. E8 Markets calls perps “a new market” that replaces its old crypto market. Rules change often, and several firms’ own pages still disagree with each other. We note those conflicts wherever they affect a decision.
Perps vs futures vs crypto spot prop firms
“Crypto prop firm” covers three different products. Before comparing prices, check which one a firm actually sells.
| Question | Perps prop firm | Futures prop firm | Crypto spot or CFD prop firm |
|---|---|---|---|
| What you trade | Perpetual contracts with no expiry, on crypto and often on stocks, indices, metals and FX | Exchange-listed futures with set expiry dates | Spot crypto, or crypto CFDs on MT5-style platforms |
| Holding cost | Funding rate or a firm-set swap fee, charged or credited while a position is open | No funding rate; contracts roll at expiry | Swap or overnight fees on CFDs; none on spot |
| Trading hours | Crypto 24/7; non-crypto perps usually 24/5 or 23/5 with weekend locks | Exchange sessions on weekdays | Crypto 24/7; other CFDs follow broker hours |
| How leverage is set | A multiple per market (for example 10x on BTC, 2x on small coins) | Contract size and margin per contract | A ratio per instrument, often lower for crypto |
| Price source | A crypto exchange or perp DEX feed, such as Hyperliquid or Bybit, or the firm’s own exchange | The futures exchange’s data, through a platform vendor | The firm’s liquidity provider or broker feed |
| Payout rails | Often USDC or USDT on-chain, or an exchange wallet; some use payout processors | Usually bank or payout processor | Varies; crypto rails are common |
Crypto Fund Trader shows why this matters. Only its Bybit platform option trades perps; the Match-Trader and MT5 versions of the same plans trade CFDs. If you want perps, the platform you pick at checkout decides what you get.

Simulated accounts or real capital
Every firm here describes its evaluation and funded accounts as simulated in its legal terms. Payouts are rewards paid from the firm’s own funds, not profits withdrawn from a real trading account. The details differ, and two firms’ marketing pages contradict their own terms.
- My Funded Perps: Its terms say there is no pathway to live capital and that payouts come from the company’s own funds. Its competitions page says “Trade real order books”, but the docs describe paper trading against real market data.
- Vest Markets: Its prop terms and site disclosure say every account, Instant included, is simulated, and payouts are “Program compensation”. Its docs and FAQ say “Real Vest capital. Not simulated.” The prop terms are the binding document, so we treat Vest accounts as simulated.
- Crypto Fund Trader: Its terms call it the “Bybit demo account used during the evaluation”, and the homepage says “It’s all demo, no real capital involved”. One of its blog posts says the Bybit integration “routes orders to real exchange order books”. The terms and the homepage agree that the account is a demo, and we go with them.
- E8 Markets: Its perps help article says the E8 Terminal uses Hyperliquid as its data feed and that “the data is real, the capital is not”.
- Kraken Prop: Its program rules say “You provide trade signals only. You do not hold real positions.” Kraken’s launch post adds that Payward Oceanic Ltd may A-book or B-book trades at its discretion.
- Propr: Its homepage says all accounts, including “Funded Accounts”, are 100% simulated. Its rulebook says A-booked trades are routed through Hyperliquid and can be checked on-chain, while B-booked trades are recorded internally.
A-booking means the firm copies some of your trades to a real venue with its own money. It does not make your account live. In every case here, your account balance and payout entitlement are set by the firm’s rules.
Venue, price feed and platform
Your fills, spreads and stop triggers depend on where the firm gets its prices. If you are looking for a Hyperliquid prop firm, Propr is the only one here that routes any trades to Hyperliquid. E8 Markets uses Hyperliquid’s data feed, and My Funded Perps lists Hyperliquid among its price sources.
| Firm | Prices come from | Platform | API or bots | Markets |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| My Funded Perps | Modeled from Hyperliquid, Binance and Bybit data; Veranta for FX and Ostium for US30 per its docs | In-house web terminal | Allowed only through its documented API (beta), CLI and MCP server | 122 per its docs (66 crypto, 31 stocks, 7 indices, 6 FX, 12 commodities); its caps page shows 118 |
| Vest Markets | Its own exchange, Vest Exchange; mark price for liquidations | Vest app (exchange and prop in one) | API trading not allowed on funded accounts | Indices (ES, NQ, RTY, YM), US stocks and ETFs, crypto, metals, energy, FX; 25 markets close on Oct 30, 2026 |
| Crypto Fund Trader | Bybit, through your own Bybit sub-account and API key | Bybit | Bybit’s own tools; you must not change or disconnect the API key | USDT perpetual contracts only; 550+ pairs per its FAQ, 715+ per its Bybit page |
| E8 Markets | Hyperliquid data feed | E8 Terminal only (perps are not on MT5, cTrader, TradeLocker or MatchTrader) | Expert advisors and trade copiers allowed on E8 Pro per its product page | Crypto, stock, index, metal, energy and FX perps |
| Kraken Prop | Third-party liquidity providers; Kraken names OKX and Bybit USDT perps as the closest chart proxies | Kraken Pro | No API access | 60+ crypto pairs plus Nasdaq 100 and S&P 500 perps |
| Propr | Hyperliquid | Propr web terminal | REST API plus Python and JS SDKs; bots allowed | All Hyperliquid perps; 160+ per its homepage, 150+ per its FAQ |
If your strategy depends on a particular exchange’s order book, ask the firm which feed sets your fills and stop triggers before you buy. A simulated fill can differ from what the reference venue showed at the same moment. Recent Vest Trustpilot reviews complain about exactly this: perp prices not tracking CME futures. Vest has also published pricing incidents on its own exchange (April 15, June 8 and June 30, 2026).
Leverage, drawdown and liquidation
High leverage on a perps prop account does not give you more room to lose. The drawdown rule caps the loss in dollars, and leverage only changes how fast you reach that cap.
| Firm | BTC | ETH | Indices | FX | Smaller coins and other notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| My Funded Perps | 10x | 8x | 12x (Elite: NAS100 and SP500 40x) | 25x to 50x | SOL and BNB 5x; most alts 2x; per-market notional caps (BTC and ETH $1M) |
| Vest Markets (funded) | 15x in docs text, 25x in docs table | 15x | ES 75x; NQ, RTY and YM 50x | 5x | FAQ says funded accounts go up to 50x; from Friday 4 PM ET, ES and NQ drop to 5x and gold to 3x |
| Crypto Fund Trader (Bybit) | Up to 1:100, depending on instrument and Bybit conditions (FAQ) | n/a (crypto only) | n/a | Terms list Instant, Ascend and $25K Break accounts as “Student Accounts” at 1:5 on crypto. Which cap applies to the Bybit variant is unclear | |
| E8 Markets | 1:15 | 1:15 | 1:15 | 1:25 | Other crypto 1:2; stocks 1:5; metals and energy 1:15 |
| Kraken Prop | 10x | 2x to 5x | 10x (Nasdaq 100, S&P 500) | n/a | Program rules say 10x on BTC and the two index perps, 2x to 5x elsewhere; the landing page cards say “Up to 5x” |
| Propr | 10x in rules table | 10x in rules table | SP500 and XYZ100 10x; others 5x | 25x | Other crypto 2x; equities 4x. Its FAQ and part of its homepage say BTC and ETH 5x |
How the arithmetic works: take a $10,000 account with a 3% static maximum drawdown. That is a $300 loss limit, the same structure as Kraken’s Advanced plan, Propr’s Turbo plan and My Funded Perps’ Select plan. At 10x on BTC you hold $100,000 of notional, so a 0.3% move against you uses the whole $300. At 2x you hold $20,000, and the same $300 lasts through a 1.5% move.
Liquidation and drawdown breach are different events. On a real exchange, a 10x position is liquidated after roughly a 10% adverse move, less the maintenance margin. A prop account with a 3% to 6% drawdown floor closes long before that. In practice, the drawdown rule ends the account, not the exchange’s liquidation engine. Vest’s contract specs set maintenance margin at half of initial margin. My Funded Perps adds a 0.1% penalty if a position is liquidated. Vest’s docs and FAQ also disagree on whether equity exactly equal to the floor counts as a breach. Leave a buffer above the floor rather than relying on either reading. (This is our own arithmetic, based on the firms’ published limits.)
Funding rates and trading costs
On a real exchange, perps charge or pay a funding rate. Prop firms handle this in three ways: they pass through the reference venue’s funding, run their own funding, or replace it with a fixed swap fee. Commissions and holding costs count against your loss limits at every firm that states a policy.
| Firm | Commission | Holding cost |
|---|---|---|
| My Funded Perps | Per fill, maker and taker: crypto 0.03%, FX 0.0025%, stocks, indices and commodities 0.005% | Firm-set swap charged hourly: crypto 0.03% a day, FX 0.005%, other 0.015%. Venue funding rates are shown for information only. A Reduced Fees add-on halves both |
| Vest Markets | Maker 0; taker 0.0025% on index and commodity markets, 0.01% on all others | Vest Exchange funding, settled hourly |
| Crypto Fund Trader | Bybit’s native fees, no CFT markup | Bybit’s funding rates apply |
| E8 Markets | Crypto 0.045% taker and 0.015% maker; stocks, indices, metals and energy 0.009% and 0.003% | Hyperliquid funding rates apply |
| Kraken Prop | 0.04% of notional per side | Swap of 0.033% a day, charged every 4 hours |
| Propr | Hyperliquid fees passed through at cost (crypto maker 0.015%, taker 0.045%) | Hyperliquid funding debited or credited |
A swap fee is easier to plan around: you know the cost before you open the trade. Funding that passes through from the venue can work for or against you, and it can spike when the market is crowded on one side. If you hold positions for days, work out the holding cost as a share of your daily loss limit before you buy.
24/7 trading, weekends and non-crypto perps
Crypto perps trade around the clock, so these accounts can lose money while you sleep or over a weekend. Perps on stocks, indices, gold and FX (sometimes called tokenized or real-world-asset perps) follow their own hours, and several firms change the rules on Friday.
- My Funded Perps: Crypto trades 24/7. FX is 24/5 (Sunday 17:00 to Friday 17:00 New York time). US30 and the Ostium-priced SP500 and NAS100 trade 23/5. Positions on 23/5 and 24/5 markets are closed automatically 15 minutes before the Friday close.
- Vest Markets: Crypto trades 24/7. Non-crypto markets have traded 24/5 since July 31, 2026, with weekend locks. From Friday 4 PM ET, funded leverage drops to 5x on ES and NQ and 3x on gold. Positions more than 2% above the reduced cap are cut back.
- Crypto Fund Trader: The Bybit route offers crypto USDT perps only. Spot, options and USDC pairs are not allowed.
- E8 Markets: Weekend and overnight holding are allowed. Its E8 Pro page says crypto “never sleeps” and you can trade through the weekend.
- Kraken Prop: Trading runs 24/7, and weekend holding and news trading are allowed.
- Propr: News trading, weekend holding, scalping, bots and copy trading between your own accounts are allowed.
Evaluation rules compared
All six firms sell 1-step evaluations. Vest, Crypto Fund Trader and Propr also sell 2-step plans. None of them sets a minimum number of trading days to pass, although My Funded Perps’ terms still mention one while its FAQ and docs say there is none. The table shows the default or most common plan’s rules; most firms let you pick other targets and drawdowns at checkout.
| Firm and plan | Profit target | Daily loss limit | Max drawdown | Consistency rule | News trading |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| My Funded Perps Select / Prime / Signature | 9% / 12% / 10% | 3%, reset at midnight New York time | 3% / 5% / 6%, static | None | Free in evaluation; funded accounts have high-impact news windows |
| Vest Markets 1-Step (Bespoke) | 10% or 20% | 3%, 4% or none (your choice), reset 20:00 ET | 6%, static | None | Allowed |
| Crypto Fund Trader 1-Phase / 2-Phase | 10% / 8% then 5% | 4% / 5% | 6% trailing until it reaches the starting balance / 10% static | None stated (Break: 40% best-day rule) | Not stated in the pages we read |
| E8 Markets E8 Pro / E8 One | 8% default (6% to 10%) / 6% to 21% | 2.5% / 3% to 9.2% | 8% static default / 4% to 14% dynamic | None / 40% best-day rule on performance account | E8 Pro “unrestricted”; E8 One bars 5 minutes either side of high-impact news on the performance account |
| Kraken Prop Starter / Intermediate / Advanced | 10% / 12% / 9% | 3%, snapshot at 00:30 UTC | 6% / 5% / 3%, static | None | Allowed |
| Propr Classic / Pro / Turbo 1-Step | 10% / 12% / 9% | 3%, reset 00:00 UTC | 6% / 5% / 3%, static | None | Allowed |
Inactivity rules still apply: My Funded Perps fails an evaluation after 30 days without trading and closes funded accounts after 7. E8 requires a closed trade at least every 60 days. Kraken, Propr, Vest and My Funded Perps have no resets: a breached account is closed and you buy a new one. Crypto Fund Trader sells a final-stage reset only under conditions (stop losses on every trade, no trade risking over 2%). Most of these firms ban hedging across accounts. Read the prohibited-strategies list on the firm’s rules page before using bots or copy trading.
Payouts, crypto rails and KYC
A payout has four steps: you become eligible, you submit a request, the firm reviews it, and the money reaches you. Firms publish different parts of that chain. A published processing time is not a guarantee for any individual request.
| Firm | When you can request | Minimum | Published timing | How you are paid | KYC |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| My Funded Perps | Select/Prime/Signature: once per New York calendar day. Elite: on demand. Account must be flat | $100 gross; Elite 1% of account size | Manual review, no promised time | Cash through Rise, store credit, or a split | Sumsub ID and liveness check before any payout |
| Vest Markets | On demand, no frequency cap | None | Claim credited to your Primary Account within 24 hours; withdrawal timing conflicts (24 hours in docs, instant up to $50K in FAQ) | USDC on-chain (Base or Arbitrum for email sign-ups) | Terms reserve “any verification we reasonably require”; no provider named |
| Crypto Fund Trader | After 15 traded days or every 30 calendar days; every 7 traded days with paid add-on; Instant at 10% profit | Not in FAQ or terms (its blog says about $100) | About 8 hours on average, up to 48 business hours | Bank (EUR or USD), USDT (ERC20 or TRC20), BTC, ETH | ID, proof of address and signed contract |
| E8 Markets | E8 Pro: one request per day after rollover. E8 One: on demand (earliest 3 days in) | $100 per its payouts article; E8 Pro 1% of balance (conflict) | Median 11 hours to approval, 24 hours to funds (Jan to May 2026); up to 5 business days; no weekend processing | Rise (cash or crypto), WorkMarket (bank), Aeropay (US bank) | Veriff, plus payout-partner onboarding |
| Kraken Prop | Any time a funded account shows profit; no open positions | Not stated for standard plans | Review typically under 12 hours, guaranteed within 24 hours | Kraken account, in USD or USDG | Full Kraken verification; program rules name SumSub with ID, selfie and proof of residence |
| Propr | On demand, no waiting period, no request limit; each payout sweeps all profit | $20 | Rules: within 24 hours. Homepage: median 8m 16s | USDC on-chain only; every payout listed with its transaction hash | Government ID and live selfie before funded access |
Two payout conflicts matter. My Funded Perps’ FAQ and docs set a $100,000 lifetime payout cap per user, while two of its October blog posts say Select, Prime and Signature have “no lifetime payout cap”. Its docs give store credit a 5% boost, while its FAQ says 10%. Ask the firm which applies before planning around either figure.
If you want crypto payouts, Propr and Vest pay in USDC on-chain, and Crypto Fund Trader pays in USDT, BTC or ETH. Kraken pays into your Kraken account, from which you withdraw normally. E8 pays through Rise (cash or crypto), WorkMarket or Aeropay. My Funded Perps pays cash through Rise and does not say which rails Rise offers.
Entry costs and firm-published promotions
List prices are shown first, with firm-published promotions separately below. A small account is cheap, but its drawdown is small too. Compare the fee with the dollar drawdown you get, not with the account size.
| Firm | Cheapest plan (list) | Dollar drawdown on that plan | Largest account sold | Refunds |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| My Funded Perps | Select 10K, $40 | $300 (3% static) | $100K (allocation up to $300K funded in total) | Within 48 hours if no trading activity, less a $25 fee |
| Vest Markets | 2-Step $5K, $15 (Instant $500 account, $10) | $300 (6% static); Instant $500: $10 | $50K | Within 3 days if no trades (homepage FAQ says 28 days) |
| Crypto Fund Trader | 1-Phase $5K, $40 | $300 (6% trailing) | $200K | 14-day withdrawal right, lost once a position is opened |
| E8 Markets | E8 Pro $5K (6% drawdown), $28 | $300 (6% static) | $500K | Help centre: within 30 days if untraded, no refunds on crypto payments; terms: all fees non-refundable |
| Kraken Prop | Advanced $5K, $20 | $150 (3% static) | $200K | Non-refundable once trading starts; one passed evaluation refunded if KYC is rejected |
| Propr | Turbo 1-Step $5K, $25 | $150 (3% static) | $200K | Non-refundable once activated |
Promotions the firms published themselves (seen October 26, 2026):
- My Funded Perps: Its homepage banner offers code ELITE for 25% off your first two purchases and 20% after that, with no end date stated. PERPS is its standing site code, and homepage card links carrying it showed 25% off list. After your first purchase, discounts above 20% are limited to 3 orders per 90 days, and codes do not stack. The Reduced Fees add-on is free on up to 3 accounts until October 28, 2026, 9:00 AM ET.
- E8 Markets: Perps plans show 50% off. Its discount-code page names E8ARC as the 50% perps code, while the configurator says “Save with code E8 on first order”. The two pages disagree. Use whichever the checkout accepts, and check the total before paying.
- Crypto Fund Trader: A homepage mini-game reveals code BOO20 for 20% off. Its scope and expiry are not stated.
- Vest Markets, Kraken Prop and Propr: No public code on their own sites on October 26. Each checkout has a code field.
Third-party review and coupon sites list other codes for these firms. BestProps could not confirm those codes with the firms, so we do not print them.
US availability and restricted countries
BestProps doesn’t give legal advice. For a simulated prop account, what decides access is each firm’s eligibility list. Some firms are US companies; others are offshore and exclude the US.
| Firm | US residents | Other notable exclusions |
|---|---|---|
| My Funded Perps | Allowed; the US is not on its list | 30 countries, including the Philippines, Vietnam, Taiwan, Ukraine, Pakistan, Kenya and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Card payments are unavailable in 92 countries, where you pay in crypto |
| Vest Markets | Unclear. Its prop terms do not bar the US, but claimed profit lands in the Primary Account, and the exchange terms bar US and UK persons | Prop terms: Cuba, North Korea, Iran, Russia, Syria and the Philippines |
| Crypto Fund Trader (Bybit) | CFT adds no country restriction for Bybit, but you must comply with Bybit’s terms, and Bybit excludes the United States, Canada, mainland China, Hong Kong and Singapore, among others | Bybit’s excluded jurisdictions |
| E8 Markets | Allowed; payouts depend on Rise or WorkMarket support, and Aeropay serves US clients | 35 countries and territories, including the UAE, Ukraine, Pakistan, Albania and Algeria |
| Kraken Prop | Allowed except New York and Maine residents | Program rules list about 25 jurisdictions, including Canada, India, the UK and the Philippines. Its FAQ gives a shorter list |
| Propr | Not on Propr’s restricted lists; confirm at checkout | 30 countries plus occupied regions of Ukraine, including Nigeria, Bangladesh, Pakistan and Kazakhstan |
The country used is usually the one on your KYC document. Using a VPN to get around a restriction breaks the terms at the firms that address it, and it can lead to a closed account and lost payouts.
Who runs each firm
| Firm | Legal entity (per terms) | Governing law | Track record |
|---|---|---|---|
| My Funded Perps | Funding Perpetuals Holdings, Inc., a Delaware corporation | Delaware | From the team behind My Funded Futures. MFF’s announcement says MFP is a separate company and that MFF’s track record does not apply. Payout requests opened Sep 11, 2026 |
| Vest Markets | Vest Labs Inc. (Delaware) in the live terms; docs copies still name Vest Exchange Inc., a Panama company | Delaware (live terms) | New York press dateline; announced a $13M round on Oct 7, 2026. Launch date not stated |
| Crypto Fund Trader | SWISS RLCRATES AG, Zug, Switzerland | Switzerland (Zug) | Operating since November 2022 per its own blog; says it is not licensed in Switzerland |
| E8 Markets | E8 Funding LLC | Texas | Founded 2021, Dallas offices; perps listing dated Sep 2026 on PropFirmMatch |
| Kraken Prop | Evaluation with Breakout Trading Group, LLC (Delaware); funded capital allocated by Payward Oceanic Ltd (BVI) | Florida (evaluation agreement) | Launched May 27, 2026. Kraken acquired Breakout effective Sep 1, 2025, and Kraken Prop uses Breakout’s evaluation structure |
| Propr | Propr Limited, British Virgin Islands; not regulated by the BVI FSC | British Virgin Islands | Paper trading launched Mar 2026; says it is backed by SwissBorg and has a $PROPR token |
A young firm is not automatically a bad choice, and an old one is not automatically safe. Still, four of these six programs have run for less than a year. Keep fewer accounts open at once, and withdraw profit as you go rather than leaving it in the account.
Trustpilot and PropFirmMatch ratings
Read on October 26, 2026. Review counts are small for most of these programs, so a handful of reviews can swing a rating.
| Firm | Trustpilot | PropFirmMatch (perps listing) |
|---|---|---|
| My Funded Perps | 4.7 from 214 reviews | 4.9 from 11 reviews |
| Vest Markets | 3.3 from 6 reviews (half 5-star, half 1-star) | No rating yet (0 reviews) |
| Crypto Fund Trader | Rating unavailable: Trustpilot says it removed fake reviews and shows a guideline-breach notice (1,111 reviews) | 4.2 from 111 reviews |
| E8 Markets | Rating unavailable for e8markets.com (whole firm, 3,302 reviews), with the same guideline-breach notice | Fewer than 10 reviews; the parent E8 Markets listing is 4.8 from 496 |
| Kraken Prop | No program-specific profile; the kraken.com profile (3.2 from 9,343) covers the whole exchange | No rating yet (0 reviews) |
| Propr | 4.4 from 67 reviews | 5.0 from 4 reviews |
Recent Vest reviews split between fast withdrawals and complaints about perp prices drifting from CME futures, fills and chart freezes. With so few reviews for most of these programs, a rating tells you less than the payout terms do.
Other crypto prop firms that trade perps
Several established crypto prop firms already run evaluations on exchange-style perpetual contracts. They are not covered in the tables above, but they belong on a shortlist if you trade crypto perps:
- HyroTrader: a crypto prop firm whose accounts trade perpetual contracts on exchanges. See its rules.
- Breakout: Kraken’s evaluation partner and a crypto perps prop firm in its own right. See its rules and payouts.
For the full list of crypto programs on BestProps, including CFD-based ones, use the crypto prop firm list.
How to choose a perps prop firm
No firm is the best perps prop firm for everyone. Work through these questions in order. The first one you can’t answer for a firm usually rules it out.
- Can you sign up and get paid? Check the restricted-country list, and for Vest check the exchange terms that govern the Primary Account. On the Crypto Fund Trader perps route, check Bybit’s eligibility too.
- Does it list your markets? If you trade BTC and ETH only, every firm works. For index, gold or FX perps, check My Funded Perps, Vest, E8, Kraken or Propr. For small-cap coins, check the leverage cap; most firms allow only 2x on them.
- Do the loss limits fit your stop size? Divide the dollar drawdown by your typical loss per trade. A 3% static limit on $5,000 is $150, which is two or three losing trades for many swing traders.
- Do the holding costs fit how long you hold? A daily swap or funding charge works against a tight daily loss limit if you hold for days.
- Does the payout timing match your needs? On-demand payouts (Vest, Kraken, Propr, E8 One, My Funded Perps Elite) suit traders who want cash out quickly. Crypto Fund Trader’s standard schedule asks for 15 traded days or 30 calendar days.
- Can you live with the payout rail? USDC on Base or Arbitrum, USDT, a Kraken wallet, or Rise. Check what your bank or tax setup can handle.
