Vest Markets Rules: Drawdown, Bespoke Account, Leverage and Banned Markets
Review the documented rules, source notes, tools, and account checks recorded for Vest Markets Rules: Drawdown, Bespoke Account, Leverage and Banned Markets.
Rules can change: The firm or platform controls the current wording. Confirm the linked source and your dashboard before you trade or request a payout.
Vest Markets rules for Vest Capital, the funded program inside the Vest Markets perpetual-futures app: the 1-Step “Bespoke” evaluation, the fixed 2-Step evaluation and the Instant account. Every account has one hard floor, a static max drawdown set when the account opens: 6% of starting capital on every evaluation, and an amount equal to the fee (2% or 4%) on Instant accounts. A daily loss limit of 3% or 4% is optional on the Bespoke 1-Step, fixed at 3% on the 2-Step and absent on Instant. There is no minimum number of days, no time limit, no consistency rule and no news restriction. What does catch traders out is the perps side: leverage of up to 75x on ES against a 6% floor, hourly funding, weekend locks on non-crypto markets, a Friday leverage cut, and markets you cannot trade on a funded account (XRP, HYPE, API trading). This page sets out each rule with dollar values for every size, the full 48-price Bespoke matrix, worked examples, two calculators, and the places where Vest’s own pages disagree.

What can trip you up
Rows To Inspect First
These are the rules Vest’s own pages say end accounts, or where its pages disagree. The labels explain why each row is surfaced; they are not a recommendation to buy or avoid any account.
Leverage against a 6% floor
At ES’s 75x funded cap, a fully used account loses its whole 6% allowance on a 0.08% move against it: under 5 points on ES at 6,000. The floor is checked on account value including open losses, at any moment.
Touching the floor
The docs say “equality alone does not breach a limit”. The FAQ says the account closes if value “touches or drops below” the floor. Plan to the FAQ: treat the floor price itself as a breach.
Simulated, not “real capital”
The docs and FAQ call funded capital real. The live Prop Trading Terms say all accounts, including Instant and funded, are simulated and payouts are program compensation. The terms are the contract.
Vest Markets Rule Checks
| Rule area | Official-source snapshot | What to verify |
|---|---|---|
| Max drawdown 6% static on evaluations | Evaluations (1-Step and 2-Step): 6% of starting capital, $300 / $600 / $1,500 / $3,000 on $5k / $10k / $25k / $50k, floors $4,700 / $9,400 / $23,500 / $47,000. Instant: equal to the fee, 2% on $500 and 4% on $5k to $50k. “A fixed floor, set once when your account is created. It never moves.” | Checked against account value including unrealized PnL at any moment. The docs say equality does not breach; the FAQ says touching the floor does. Breach is “immediate, permanent account closure”, with no warning. Source: Vest docs “Loss Limits”; Vest Markets FAQ “Is Max. | Daily loss limit 3%, 4% or none | Bespoke 1-Step: chosen at purchase (3%, 4% or none). 2-Step: fixed 3%. Instant: never. Daily floor = reset balance x (1 – rate) + net non-trading transfers since reset; reset boundary 20:00 ET. Carries into the funded stage unchanged. | The docs build the reset balance from balance plus reserved collateral, excluding unrealized PnL; the FAQ sets it from equity including unrealized PnL. The two differ when you hold a position through 20:00 ET (worked table below). | Profit target 10% or 20%; 2-Step 10% then 5% | Bespoke 1-Step: 10% or 20% of capital, chosen at purchase. 2-Step: 10% in Step 1, then a further 5% in Step 2. Instant: no target. The funded stage has no target. | No minimum days and no time limit: “You can pass as quickly as you like.” Passing creates a funded account of the same size “instantly”. | Consistency and minimum days none | “There is no minimum number of trading days, no cap on how much of your profit can come from a single day, and no requirement to distribute profits evenly.” No time limit in evaluation or funded. | Nothing in the docs or terms adds a best-day rule. The terms still let Vest review “distorted virtual results” and abusive patterns. Source: Vest Markets FAQ “Is there a consistency rule?”; Prop Trading Terms – checked October 26, 2026. | Leverage docs 75x / FAQ 50x | Funded (evaluation and live): up to 75x per the docs, per market. ES 75x; NQ, RTY, YM 50x; GC and NVDA 25x; BTC 25x in the table; ETH 15x; SOL, CL, TSLA, INTC, MU 10x; most stocks, FX and other metals 5x. Primary (non-funded) accounts go to 100x. | The FAQ says funded accounts support “up to 50x”. The docs text says BTC and ETH have a 15x maximum on funded accounts while the table shows BTC 25x. The order form shows each market’s cap; plan to 15x on BTC. | Weekend leverage cut Friday 4:00 PM ET | From Friday 4:00 PM ET until reopen, Vest Capital accounts are capped at 5x on ES and NQ and 3x on GC. Positions more than 2% above the cap are cut down to it. | If account value is more than 1% below starting capital, those positions are closed in full instead of reduced. Cuts are labelled “Temporary Leverage Limit” in trade history. Source: Vest docs “Temporary Leverage Limits” – checked October 26, 2026. Full source URLs |
| Hours, overnight, weekend hold allowed; locks | Crypto trades 24/7. Index and commodity perps lock Friday 5:00 PM ET to Sunday 6:00 PM ET; single stocks Friday 8:00 PM ET to Sunday 8:00 PM ET; FX locks over the weekend. Positions held into a lock stay open and cannot be closed. | Both loss limits keep running over the weekend. The FAQ’s overnight answer says all non-crypto positions lock from Friday 8:00 PM ET; its hours answer and the docs give 5:00 PM ET for indices and commodities. | News trading allowed | “You are free to open and hold positions before, during, and after any news release.” Scalping and high-frequency approaches are also allowed. | Allowed does not mean protected: a news gap through the floor is still a breach. Vest Capital Accounts: 1-Step Bespoke vs 2-Step vs Instant
Vest Capital sells three account types from one pricing page. Loss limits “follow your account type, not its phase”: whatever applies in the evaluation carries into the funded stage unchanged. Each is a one-time payment with no subscription, and Vest publishes no activation fee.

The Vest Markets Bespoke Account: Every 1-Step Configuration and Price
The “Bespoke Account” is Vest’s name for the configurable 1-Step evaluation (“Create Your Bespoke Account” on the pricing page). You pick four things at purchase, and the price is set by the combination: size ($5k, $10k, $25k or $50k), profit target (10% or 20%), daily loss limit (3%, 4% or none) and profit split (80/20 or 90/10). That is 12 rule combinations across 4 sizes, 48 price points. The max drawdown is not a choice: it is 6% on every combination. The preset cards on the pricing page show the 10% target, 80% split, no-daily-limit version by default, with a toggle that switches on the 3% limit.
| Target | Daily loss limit | Split (you/Vest) | $5k Silver | $10k Gold | $25k Platinum | $50k Emerald |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 10% | 3% | 80/20 | $40 | $80 | $210 | $415 |
| 10% | 3% | 90/10 | $48 | $96 | $252 | $498 |
| 10% | 4% | 80/20 | $60 | $110 | $280 | $555 |
| 10% | 4% | 90/10 | $72 | $132 | $330 | $666 |
| 10% | None | 80/20 | $75 | $150 | $375 | $745 |
| 10% | None | 90/10 | $90 | $180 | $450 | $894 |
| 20% | 3% | 80/20 | $25 | $50 | $130 | $255 |
| 20% | 3% | 90/10 | $30 | $60 | $156 | $306 |
| 20% | 4% | 80/20 | $33 | $65 | $170 | $335 |
| 20% | 4% | 90/10 | $40 | $78 | $204 | $402 |
| 20% | None | 80/20 | $50 | $95 | $250 | $495 |
| 20% | None | 90/10 | $60 | $114 | $300 | $594 |
How each option moves the price (BestProps arithmetic on the catalog prices): the 90/10 split costs about 1.2x the 80/20 price on every combination; a 4% daily limit costs 1.3x to 1.5x the 3% version; no daily limit costs 1.8x to 2.0x the 3% version; and a 20% target costs 0.55x to 0.67x the 10% version. The cheapest account is the $5k with a 20% target, 3% daily limit and 80% split at $25. The most expensive is the $50k with a 10% target, no daily limit and 90% split at $894. Dollar values by size
| Size | 10% target | 20% target | Max drawdown (6%) | Static floor | 3% daily limit at start | 4% daily limit at start |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| $5,000 Silver | $500 | $1,000 | $300 | $4,700 | $150 (floor $4,850) | $200 (floor $4,800) |
| $10,000 Gold | $1,000 | $2,000 | $600 | $9,400 | $300 (floor $9,700) | $400 (floor $9,600) |
| $25,000 Platinum | $2,500 | $5,000 | $1,500 | $23,500 | $750 (floor $24,250) | $1,000 (floor $24,000) |
| $50,000 Emerald | $5,000 | $10,000 | $3,000 | $47,000 | $1,500 (floor $48,500) | $2,000 (floor $48,000) |
Read the target against the drawdown: a 10% target asks for 1.67 times the 6% allowance before you lose the allowance once; a 20% target asks for 3.33 times. With a 3% daily limit, your first day can lose only half the max drawdown before the account closes.
Worked configurations
| Configuration | Fee | Profit to pass | Static floor | Daily floor on day 1 | Funded profit to earn back the fee | Fee as % of max drawdown | Notes |

| Docs preset “1-Step” $25,000, 10% target, 3% daily limit, 80/20 | $210 | $2,500 | $23,500 | $24,250 | $262.50 | 14% | Vest’s own example configuration. |

| Docs preset “No Daily Loss Limit” $25,000, 10% target, no daily limit, 80/20 | $375 | $2,500 | $23,500 | – | $468.75 | 25% | Only the static floor to watch. |
| Pricing-page default card $50,000, 10% target, no daily limit, 80/20 | $745 | $5,000 | $47,000 | – | $931.25 | 25% | What the Emerald card shows before you toggle anything. |
| Most expensive $50,000, 10% target, no daily limit, 90/10 | $894 | $5,000 | $47,000 | – | $993.33 | 30% | Lower target, no daily limit and the top split. |
“Funded profit to earn back the fee” is the fee divided by your split: the profit the funded account has to make before your share covers what you paid. It ignores trading fees and funding. The three “docs preset” rows are the example configurations named on Vest’s Account Tiers page. Sources: Vest docs, “Account Tiers”, Vest Capital pricing page, checked October 26, 2026.
Bespoke account builder
Pick the four options to see the published price and the dollar rules for that configuration.
Docs and live page differ on sizes. Vest’s Account Tiers doc lists three tiers (Silver, Gold, Platinum) and “36 available 1-Step configurations”. The live pricing page and its catalog also sell the $50k Emerald, so there are 48. This page uses the live pricing page; the doc itself says the live pricing pages “are the source of record”.
Vest Markets 2-Step Evaluation Rules
The 2-Step has one fixed configuration per size and is the cheapest way into a Vest Capital evaluation. Step 1 asks for 10% of starting capital; Step 2 asks for a further 5%. The daily loss limit is 3%, the max drawdown is the same 6% static floor, and the split is 80/20. The 3% daily limit stays on the account once it is funded.
| Size | Fee | Step 1 target (10%) | Step 2 target (5%) | Static floor (6%) | 3% daily limit at start | Split |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| $5,000 | $15 | $500 | $250 | $4,700 | $150 | 80/20 |
| $10,000 | $35 | $1,000 | $500 | $9,400 | $300 | 80/20 |
| $25,000 | $90 | $2,500 | $1,250 | $23,500 | $750 | 80/20 |
| $50,000 | $175 | $5,000 | $2,500 | $47,000 | $1,500 | 80/20 |
The public catalog lists Step 2 with the same starting capital as Step 1 and a target of 5% of it; Vest’s pages do not say in words whether the balance resets between steps, so check the dashboard when Step 1 closes. The Account Tiers doc lists the 2-Step at three sizes; the $50k (Emerald) 2-Step at $175 appears in the live catalog. Sources: Vest docs, “Account Tiers”, Vest docs, “Vest Capital Overview”, Vest Capital pricing page, checked October 26, 2026.
Vest Markets Instant Account Rules
An Instant account skips the evaluation: it is funded from the moment payment clears, has no profit target and no daily loss limit, and pays a 95% split. Its one rule is the static max drawdown, and Vest sets it equal to the fee you paid. “The rate isn’t uniform”: 2% on the $500 size, 4% on the rest.
| Size | Fee | Max drawdown | Rate | Static floor | Fully used at 10x: adverse move to the floor |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| $500 | $10 | $10 | 2% | $490 | 0.20% |
| $5,000 | $200 | $200 | 4% | $4,800 | 0.40% |
| $10,000 | $400 | $400 | 4% | $9,600 | 0.40% |
| $25,000 | $1,000 | $1,000 | 4% | $24,000 | 0.40% |
| $50,000 | $2,000 | $2,000 | 4% | $48,000 | 0.40% |
The FAQ example: “A $25,000 Instant Account has a $1,000 Max. Drawdown (4%), closing at $24,000.” The docs list four Instant sizes up to $25,000; the live pricing page also sells $50,000 for $2,000. With 4% (or 2%) of room instead of 6%, leverage bites harder on Instant than on an evaluation; the last column is BestProps arithmetic
