Crypto prop firms are not all built the same way. Some simulate crypto perpetual trading with exchange market data, some use a proprietary interface, and some combine crypto with forex or other CFDs. This directory compares five documented crypto-native or crypto-forward programs without treating those models as interchangeable.
Research update: Official program pages were checked August 15, 2026. Fees, promotions, instruments, leverage, country access, and program rules can change. Confirm the live checkout and agreement before paying.

Crypto-native firms vs firms that offer crypto CFDs
A crypto-native comparison should focus on the trading experience, not just whether the symbol list contains BTCUSD. Tradeify Crypto, Breakout, HyroTrader, and Bitfunded center their current programs on crypto. Crypto Fund Trader is crypto-forward, but its Match-Trader and MT5 routes also include other asset classes. A general forex prop firm that happens to offer a few crypto CFDs belongs in a different comparison unless the crypto program is central and well documented.
This launch set uses three inclusion tests: current official program documentation, a meaningful crypto-focused product, and observable search or comparison demand. It is complete for the five firms in scope: five firms produce ten unordered head-to-head pairs. The directory can expand when another firm meets the same standard.
Crypto prop firms at a glance
| Firm | Platform | Evaluation path | Risk framework | Payout or reward check |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Tradeify Crypto | DXtrade | Current choices include a one-step evaluation, two-step evaluation, Instant Funding, and the APE-X pay-after-pass path. | The core programs use a 3% end-of-day daily loss limit. One-step and two-step evaluations currently use 6% static maximum drawdown, while Instant Funding uses 6% end-of-trade trailing drawdown. Payout-lock rules differ by funded path. | The default profit split is 80%, with an optional paid 95% add-on. Payouts are on demand with a $100 minimum; evaluation-funded accounts need three 0.5% profitable days, while Instant Funding uses a 20% consistency score instead. |
| Breakout Prop | Breakout Terminal for new purchases; existing DXtrade accounts remain supported | Current rules document Classic, Pro, and Turbo one-step evaluations plus a two-step evaluation, all without minimum or maximum completion-time limits. | The one-step variants use a 3% daily loss limit and static maximum drawdown of 6% for Classic, 5% for Pro, or 3% for Turbo. The two-step path uses a 4% daily loss limit and 6% static maximum drawdown. | Breakout advertises on-demand USDC payouts and a profit share that can reach 90%. Eligibility and the initial share depend on the current program terms. |
| HyroTrader | Bybit demo, Tealstreet, or CLEO | Current product pages document one-step and two-step challenges with no maximum time limit. | The current product page lists 5% daily drawdown and 10% maximum drawdown. Additional evaluation-only consistency and risk-distribution rules apply. | HyroTrader says traders start with an 80% profit share that can scale to 90%, with a $100 minimum and USDT or USDC withdrawals. Its current payout guide says requests can start on the same calendar day as the first funded-account trade and are typically processed within 12 to 24 hours. |
| Crypto Fund Trader | Bybit, Match-Trader, or MT5 | One-phase, two-phase, three-phase, Break, Ascend, and Instant paths are documented. The main one-phase and two-phase evaluations have no minimum trading days and no maximum completion time; special routes use their own stage and reward rules. | The two-phase path currently lists 5% daily loss and 10% fixed maximum loss. The one-phase path lists 4% daily loss and a 6% balance-based trailing drawdown that stops at the initial balance. | The standard reward cycle requires at least 15 traded days or 30 calendar days; a weekly add-on can shorten eligibility. The firm reports typical processing near eight hours and up to 48 business hours. |
| Bitfunded | Bitfunded platform | The current terms document both one-step and two-step evaluations, unlimited completion time, and five minimum trading days per evaluation stage. | The one-step path lists 4% daily loss, 6% maximum loss, and a 10% target. The two-step path lists 5% daily loss in both stages, 10% maximum loss in Step 1, 8% in Step 2, an 8% first target, and a 5% second target. | The current FAQ lists an 80% trader share, USDT payments, and a customizable Profit Sharing Day. It also contains cycle-specific request limits, so confirm the exact schedule shown for the selected challenge. |
These rows summarize firm-level documentation, not every account variation. The named program and platform control when their terms differ.
How to compare crypto prop firms
Start with the execution model and platform
Ask whether orders are placed in a simulated account, which market data feeds the platform, whether the interface is exchange-like or CFD-style, and whether your preferred order types and devices are supported. “Funded” does not automatically mean the trader controls a live brokerage account.
Recalculate the loss limits yourself
Daily loss may reset at a specific time and may include open equity, fees, or realized losses. Maximum drawdown can be static, balance-based trailing, or governed by a separate account threshold. Model a normal losing day and a profitable day followed by a pullback before deciding which rule is easier.
Compare leverage with fees and liquidity
Higher available leverage can make a headline account size look attractive while increasing breach risk. Check symbol-level leverage, opening and closing fees, funding or overnight treatment, spreads, slippage, and low-liquidity restrictions together.
Measure time to an eligible payout
A profit split is only one variable. Compare minimum trading days, consistency or distribution rules, request windows, minimum amounts, KYC, payout method, processing review, and any balance or drawdown change after a request.
Check strategy and country restrictions
Bots, copy trading, hedging, martingale, very short holding periods, news trading, low-cap exposure, position size, and cross-account behavior may be treated differently. Platform access can also change by country even when the prop firm itself accepts the trader.
Frequently asked questions
Which crypto prop firm is best?
There is no universal winner. Tradeify Crypto combines DXtrade with evaluation, instant, and pay-after-pass paths; Breakout uses its own terminal for one-step and two-step static-drawdown evaluations; HyroTrader emphasizes crypto platform and pair choice; Crypto Fund Trader offers the broadest mix of platforms and program types; and Bitfunded emphasizes a proprietary, lower-leverage evaluation model. The best fit is the one whose loss calculation and payout eligibility match your real trading behavior.
Are crypto prop firm accounts live?
The reviewed firms describe simulated evaluation or account environments, although HyroTrader discusses possible migration to a real Bybit subaccount after an established payout history. Read the current agreement for the exact stage instead of assuming that “funded” means direct access to firm capital.
Can U.S. traders use crypto prop firms?
Access depends on the firm, platform, residence, identity documents, payment method, and payout provider. Bybit-linked routes and MT5 access can have different country limits from proprietary or Match-Trader routes. Verify the complete combination before purchase.
Do crypto prop firms allow bots, scalping, and hedging?
Policies vary. Even when a broad strategy category is allowed, latency exploitation, HFT, cross-account hedging, coordinated trading, martingale, or excessive risk may be prohibited. Save the rules that apply to your exact program and purchase date.
