Perps Prop Firms Compared: 6 Perpetual Futures Programs Side by Side

Home » Compare Prop Firms » Perps Prop Firms Compared: 6 Perpetual Futures Programs Side by Side

TL;DR: We compared six perps prop firms: My Funded Perps, Vest Markets, Crypto Fund Trader (its Bybit option), E8 Perpetuals, Kraken Prop and Propr. All six describe their funded accounts as simulated in their own terms, so the real differences are the price feed, the loss rules, the fees that count against your drawdown, how often you can withdraw and where the money lands. On list prices, Kraken Prop has the cheapest entry ($20 for a $5K account). Vest Markets and Crypto Fund Trader are the only two that sell instant accounts. My Funded Perps and E8 Pro let you request a payout once a day, and Vest, Kraken Prop and Propr take requests on demand. US access ranges from plainly allowed (E8, and Kraken outside New York and Maine) to unclear (Vest).

No firm wins on every point. This is where each one stands out on the terms it publishes.

If you want… Look first at Why
The lowest list price to start Kraken Prop, E8 Perpetuals Kraken Prop’s Advanced $5K is $20. E8 Pro $5K is $28 list, and E8 advertises 50% off its perps challenges.
To skip the evaluation Vest Markets, Crypto Fund Trader Vest sells Instant accounts from $500 to $50K. Crypto Fund Trader sells an Instant Evaluation with no profit target, from $2,500 to $10,000.
A payout request every day My Funded Perps, E8 Perpetuals One request per New York calendar day on My Funded Perps Select, Prime and Signature. One request per day after rollover on E8 Pro.
Payouts on demand Vest Markets, Kraken Prop, Propr Also My Funded Perps Elite and E8 One. Vest has no minimum claim. Propr’s minimum is $20.
A drawdown floor that never moves Vest Markets, My Funded Perps Elite Both keep the floor at the starting level minus the allowance, even after a payout. My Funded Perps Select, Prime and Signature lock the floor to the starting balance at the first withdrawal.
Your own exchange account Crypto Fund Trader (Bybit option) You open your own Bybit account and connect a sub-account by API. Its terms still call it a demo account.
Payouts in USDC on-chain Propr, Vest Markets Propr pays USDC on-chain only. Vest credits USDC to your Vest account, which you then withdraw to a wallet.
Bots and API trading Propr, My Funded Perps Propr allows bots and agents through its API and SDKs. My Funded Perps allows automation only through its own documented API. Vest bars API trading on funded accounts, and Kraken Prop has no API access.

Perps Prop Firm Decision Checklist

  • Read the account type in the terms, not the marketing. “Funded” and even “real capital” appear on pages whose own terms say the account is simulated. The terms are what you sign.
  • Find the price source. A simulated account is only as good as its feed. Ask which venue prices each market (Hyperliquid, Binance, Bybit, the firm’s own exchange) and how stops are triggered.
  • Put the fees into the drawdown. Commissions, swap and funding are charged to the account balance, so they use up loss room at every firm we checked. A small drawdown fills quickly with fees on a high-turnover strategy.
  • Check leverage per market, then size against the floor. High leverage does not change the drawdown. A 3% static floor at 10x leverage is a 0.3% move against a full-size position.
  • Know what happens on Friday. Crypto trades all weekend, but tokenized stock, index, FX and commodity perps close or cut leverage at most firms.
  • Follow the money to your wallet. Payout rail (Rise, bank, USDC on-chain, an exchange wallet), KYC provider, minimum request, caps and review time all differ.
  • Confirm your country at the firm and at the venue or payout provider. A firm can accept you while the exchange or payout rail it relies on does not.

Research table: six perps prop firms side by side

Each row uses the firm’s own pages, read October 26, 2026. “Simulated” is how each firm’s terms describe its accounts. List prices are before any code.

Sources: each firm’s pricing page, rules, FAQ or help centre, and terms, read October 26, 2026 (links in the source list below). Crypto Fund Trader’s Bybit accounts cost the same as its MT5 and Match-Trader accounts; only the Bybit option trades perpetual contracts.

Kraken Prop has no BestProps review of its own. Its evaluation contract is with Breakout Trading Group, which Kraken bought in September 2025, and Kraken says Kraken Prop uses the same evaluation structure as Breakout. Our Breakout Prop review covers that firm. Propr has no BestProps review yet.

Simulated or real capital: what each firm’s terms say

This is the first thing to settle, because marketing and terms do not always match.

  • My Funded Perps: paper trading on its own terminal, and no order reaches an exchange. The terms say there is no pathway to real capital, and payouts come “from the Company’s own funds”. The firm says it is from the team behind My Funded Futures, but My Funded Futures says the two are separate companies and that its track record does not apply. Our My Funded Futures review covers that futures firm.
  • Vest Markets: the prop terms and the site disclosure say every account, Instant included, is simulated, and that payouts are “Program compensation” from corporate funds. Vest’s docs and FAQ say “Real Vest capital. Not simulated.” We treat the terms as binding and flag the conflict.
  • Crypto Fund Trader: the terms call the Bybit account a “Bybit demo account”, and the homepage says “It’s all demo, no real capital involved”. One of its blog posts says the Bybit integration routes orders to real exchange order books.
  • E8 Perpetuals: simulated accounts on the E8 Terminal. Its help centre puts it plainly: “the data is real, the capital is not.”
  • Kraken Prop: evaluations and funded accounts are simulated, and Kraken calls the service unregulated. Its funding entity may copy a trader’s trades to the market or keep them in-house, at its discretion.
  • Propr: all accounts, funded ones included, are described as 100% simulated. Its rules say some trades are routed on-chain to Hyperliquid and others are recorded internally, and each trade is labelled.

What a $50K perps account costs

Comparing price alone is misleading, because the drawdown you are buying differs by plan. The last column divides the list price by the maximum drawdown, so you can see what each $1,000 of loss room costs.

Firm and plan ($50K) List price Profit target Max drawdown Daily loss limit List price per $1,000 of drawdown
My Funded Perps Select $190 9% 3% static ($1,500) 3% $126.67

Kraken Prop Starter $400 10% 6% static ($3,000) 3% $133.33
Kraken Prop Intermediate $280 12% 5% static ($2,500) 3% $112.00

Propr Pro 1-Step $355 12% 5% static ($2,500) 3% $142.00
Propr Classic 2-Step $450 5%, then 10% 8% trailing until it reaches the starting balance ($4,000) 5% $112.50
List prices before codes, read October 26, 2026. My Funded Perps’ homepage cards showed 25% off with its PERPS code, and its banner offers code ELITE (25% off your first two purchases, then 20%). E8 advertises 50% off its perps challenges: its discount-code page names code E8ARC, while the configurator banner names code E8. Vest, Kraken Prop and Propr showed no firm-published code. E8 One and E8 Pro also sell other drawdown options at other prices.

Two plans stand out on loss room per dollar: E8 Pro at 8% ($57 per $1,000) and Vest’s 2-Step ($58.33). Both carry trade-offs. E8 Pro counts at most 2% of the starting balance as profit per day, and Vest’s 2-Step adds a second phase. A cheap plan with a small drawdown, such as a 3% plan, costs less but leaves little room for fees and normal losing days.

Resets: none of the six sells a self-service reset on these plans as of October 26. A breached account is bought again. E8 offers a 10% discount on a retry for 7 days. Crypto Fund Trader sells a paid reset of a final-stage account only in narrow cases (every trade had a stop loss and none risked more than 2%).

Drawdown and daily loss rules

Firm Max drawdown type What happens to the floor after a payout Daily loss limit and reset
My Funded Perps Static: 3% Select, 5% Prime, 6% Signature, 5% Elite Select, Prime and Signature: locks to the starting balance at the first withdrawal. Elite: never moves 3% of the starting balance, measured from equity at midnight New York time; Elite can be bought with no daily limit
Vest Markets Static 6% on the evaluation path; Instant 2% to 4% (equal to the fee) Never moves; profits don’t raise it 3%, 4% or none (chosen at purchase), resets 20:00 ET; none on Instant
Crypto Fund Trader 2-Phase 10% static; 1-Phase 6% trailing until it reaches the starting balance; Instant 6% Not described as changing 5% (2-Phase) or 4% (1-Phase, Instant), equity-based, from the balance at 12:05 AM UTC
E8 Perpetuals E8 One: dynamic 4% to 14%, rises on closed profit and locks at the starting balance. E8 Pro: static 8% (6% and 10% options) E8 Pro: moves to the starting balance after the first payout E8 One 3% to 9.2% of the day’s starting balance; E8 Pro 2.5% of the starting balance
Kraken Prop Static: 6% Starter, 5% Intermediate, 3% Advanced Not described as changing 3% of balance, snapshotted at 00:30 UTC, breached on equity
Propr 1-Step static (6% Classic, 3% Turbo, 5% Pro); 2-Step 8% trailing until it reaches the starting balance Payouts withdraw all profit, and the balance resets to the starting balance; the 2-Step drawdown resets after a payout 3% (1-Step) or 5% (2-Step) of the start-of-day balance, resets 00:00 UTC

Why the payout rule matters. Take a $25K account with a 6% static drawdown and $1,500 of profit. At Vest, claiming the profit leaves equity at $25,000 with the floor still at $23,500, so you keep $1,500 of room. On My Funded Perps Signature, the first withdrawal moves the floor to $25,000, so the next losing trade from a flat $25,000 balance breaches the account unless you leave profit in. If you plan to withdraw often, that difference outweighs a few dollars of entry price.

Two firms disagree with themselves on edge cases. Vest’s docs say equity equal to the floor does not breach, while its FAQ says “touches or drops below”. Vest’s docs also exclude open profit from the daily reset balance, while its FAQ includes it. Propr’s rules use the start-of-day balance for the daily limit, and its FAQ says start-of-day equity. Trade as if the stricter reading applies.

Leverage, liquidation and the drawdown

Perps let you set leverage per position, but each firm caps it by market. On a simulated prop account the drawdown floor almost always closes you before a liquidation would.

Firm BTC Other crypto Indices, FX and other non-crypto Notes
My Funded Perps 10x ETH 8x; SOL and BNB 5x; XRP, HYPE and DOGE 3x; most others 2x EUR, JPY and USDCAD 50x; GBP, AUD and USDCHF 25x; SP500, NAS100 and US30 12x; gold 10x; large-cap stocks 4x Elite raises NAS100 and SP500 to 40x. Per-market notional caps apply (BTC and ETH $1M)
Vest Markets Docs text says 15x, docs table says 25x Varies by market Funded accounts up to 75x per the docs (ES 75x; NQ, RTY and YM 50x; most stocks and FX 5x); the FAQ says 50x Leverage on ES and NQ drops to 5x and on gold to 3x from Friday 4 PM ET
Crypto Fund Trader (Bybit) Up to 1:100, depending on the instrument and Bybit Up to 1:100 Not applicable (USDT crypto contracts only) The terms list some accounts, including Instant, at 1:5 for crypto, which conflicts with the FAQ
E8 Perpetuals 1:15 ETH 1:15; others 1:2 Indices, metals and energy 1:15; forex 1:25; stocks 1:5 Netting only
Kraken Prop 10x 2x to 5x Nasdaq 100 and S&P 500 10x Kraken’s landing page says “up to 5x”, which conflicts with its program rules
Propr 10x per the rules table ETH and SOL 10x; others 2x SP500 and XYZ100 10x; other indices 5x; equities 4x; gold, silver and oil 8x; FX 25x Other Propr pages give BTC and ETH as 5x

Liquidation and drawdown are separate events. A liquidation closes one position when its margin runs out. A drawdown breach closes the whole account when equity crosses the floor. With a 3% to 6% floor, a breach comes long before a liquidation on any normal leverage setting. My Funded Perps adds a 0.1% penalty on liquidated positions. Vest’s maintenance margin is half the initial margin, so liquidation sits far below the 6% floor. Size positions from the floor, not from the leverage slider.

Trading fees, funding and swap

On a perps exchange you pay or receive a funding rate on open positions. Prop firms handle this differently, and every charge comes out of the account you are trying not to breach.

Firm Commission Funding or holding cost
My Funded Perps Crypto 0.03% per fill (maker and taker); FX 0.0025%; stocks, indices and commodities 0.005% Venue funding is shown for information only and is replaced by a fixed swap: crypto 0.03% a day, charged hourly. A paid add-on halves commission and swap
Vest Markets Maker 0; taker 0.0025% on index and commodity markets, 0.01% on everything else Funding settles hourly
Crypto Fund Trader (Bybit) Bybit’s own fees, no markup Bybit’s funding rates apply
E8 Perpetuals Crypto 0.045% taker, 0.015% maker; stocks, indices, metals and oil 0.009% taker, 0.003% maker Hyperliquid funding rates apply
Kraken Prop 0.04% per side 0.033% a day, charged every 4 hours; fees count against the loss limits
Propr Hyperliquid fees at cost (crypto 0.015% maker, 0.045% taker) Hyperliquid funding debited or credited
Read October 26, 2026 from each firm’s fee page, FAQ or help centre.

As an example, ten round trips a day of a $50,000 BTC position cost $300 a day in commission at 0.03% per fill. On a 3% $50K plan, that is a fifth of the whole drawdown in one day. High-turnover traders should favour low-commission routes and limit orders where makers pay less.

Payouts, payout rails and KYC

Firm How you are paid Minimum and caps Identity checks Stated timing
My Funded Perps Cash through Rise, store credit or a mix. Store credit gets a boost, 5% in the docs but 10% in the FAQ and blog $100 gross (Select, Prime, Signature); 1% of size (Elite). $100,000 lifetime cap per user in the FAQ and docs, though two blog posts say there is none Sumsub: ID plus liveness check Manual review, no promised time
Vest Markets Claim Profit to your Vest Primary Account, then withdraw USDC (Base or Arbitrum for email sign-ups) No minimum and no cap on claims; $50,000 withdrawal limit per rolling 24 hours Terms reserve “any verification we reasonably require”; provider not named Claims credited in 24 hours. The FAQ says withdrawals under $50K are instant, while the withdrawals doc says 24 hours
Crypto Fund Trader Bank transfer in EUR or USD; USDT (ERC20 or TRC20), BTC or ETH $10,000 simulated profit cap per day or per trade; $300K maximum final-stage allocation ID, proof of address and a signed contract About 8 hours on average, up to 48 business hours
E8 Perpetuals Rise (cash or crypto), WorkMarket (bank), Aeropay (US bank) $100 minimum; E8 Pro pays half of profit per request and keeps half as a buffer; no payout caps Veriff, plus onboarding with the payout processor Median 11 hours to approval, 24 hours to funds (Jan to May 2026); no weekend processing
Kraken Prop To your Kraken wallet in USD or USDG, then a normal Kraken withdrawal No cap stated Full Kraken verification (Sumsub per the program rules) Review usually under 12 hours, within 24
Propr USDC on-chain only $20 minimum; no maximum; every payout withdraws all profit ID and live selfie, no proof of address Rules say within 24 hours; the homepage showed a median of 8 minutes 16 seconds

Hours, weekends, news, bots and copy trading

  • My Funded Perps: crypto trades 24/7. FX trades 24/5 and US30 23/5, and positions on those markets auto-close 15 minutes before the Friday close. News is unrestricted in the evaluation. Funded accounts may not add exposure in the minutes around high-impact releases. Funded accounts close after 7 days without a trade. Automation is allowed only through the firm’s own API, and copy trading only between your own accounts.
  • Vest Markets: crypto trades 24/7, and non-crypto markets have traded 24/5 since July 31, 2026, with weekend locks. News trading and weekend holding are allowed. API trading is not allowed on funded accounts. Vest says 25 markets go reduce-only and close on October 30, 2026.
  • Crypto Fund Trader (Bybit): you must not add funds, change the API key, trade spot or trade USDC pairs on the connected account. HFT, tick scalping and arbitrage are banned.
  • E8 Perpetuals: news is allowed in the challenge. On the funded (performance) account, trading is barred 5 minutes before and after high-impact news. You must close a trade at least every 60 days.
  • Kraken Prop: 24/7 trading, news trading and weekend holding are allowed. Copying third-party signals, off-the-shelf strategies, cross-account hedging and account sharing are banned, and there is no API access.
  • Propr: news trading, weekend holding, scalping, bots and copy trading (including between your own accounts) are allowed. It offers a REST API and Python and JavaScript SDKs.

Who runs each firm and how long it has operated

Most perps programs are less than a year old, so their public track record is short.

Firm Company (from its terms) Operating since Trustpilot (read October 26, 2026) PropFirmMatch perps listing
My Funded Perps Funding Perpetuals Holdings, Inc. (Delaware) No launch date published; payout requests opened September 11, 2026 4.7 from 214 reviews 4.9 from 11 reviews
Vest Markets Vest Labs Inc. (Delaware) in the live terms; older copies in its docs name Vest Exchange Inc. (Panama) Not stated by the firm; PropFirmMatch lists October 2025 3.3 from 6 reviews No reviews yet
Crypto Fund Trader SWISS RLCRATES AG (Zug, Switzerland) November 2022 Rating hidden by Trustpilot for a guideline breach (fake reviews removed); 1,111 reviews 4.2 from 111 reviews
E8 Perpetuals E8 Funding LLC (Texas) E8 Markets founded 2021; the perps listing dates from September 2026 Firm-wide profile: rating hidden for a guideline breach (fake reviews removed); 3,302 reviews Fewer than 10 reviews
Kraken Prop Breakout Trading Group, LLC (evaluation); Payward Oceanic Ltd, BVI (funded allocation) Launched May 27, 2026 No Kraken Prop profile (the exchange’s 3.2 is not a prop rating) No reviews yet
Propr Propr Limited (British Virgin Islands) Rulebook v1.0 dated February 25, 2026 4.4 from 67 reviews 5.0 from 4 reviews

Small review counts swing easily, so read the recent one-star reviews for payout and pricing complaints rather than trusting the average. Vest’s Trustpilot page includes complaints that its perp prices did not track CME futures, alongside reviews describing fast withdrawals.

Other crypto prop firms that trade perpetuals

Several crypto prop firms run their programs on perpetual contracts without calling them perps programs. Breakout Prop and HyroTrader are the main examples, and Kraken Prop shares Breakout’s evaluation structure. For the wider list, see our crypto prop firm directory, the perpetuals firm directory and our best crypto prop firms guide.

Frequently asked questions

Which perps prop firm is best?

None is best for everyone. Kraken Prop and E8 have the lowest list prices to start. Vest and Crypto Fund Trader are the only two with instant accounts. Vest keeps a static floor after payouts. Propr pays USDC on-chain and allows bots. My Funded Perps publishes per-market leverage and exposure caps and has a daily payout window. Choose by the loss rule and payout route that fit how you trade.

Are perps prop firm accounts real or simulated?

All six firms’ terms or rules describe simulated accounts. Vest’s docs and Crypto Fund Trader’s blog suggest otherwise in places, but their terms say simulated or demo. Kraken Prop and Propr say some trades may be mirrored in the market at the firm’s choice. Even then, the trader’s account is not a real exchange account holding firm capital.

Which perps prop firms accept US traders?

E8 accepts the US. Kraken Prop accepts the US except New York and Maine. My Funded Perps and Propr do not list the US as restricted. Crypto Fund Trader sets no limit on its Bybit route but leaves eligibility to Bybit’s own rules. For Vest, the prop terms allow the US, but the exchange terms that govern the account receiving your claimed profit bar US persons, so ask Vest before buying.

Which perps prop firm is cheapest?

At list price, Kraken Prop’s Advanced $5K ($20) and Propr’s Turbo $5K ($25) are the cheapest standard evaluations. Vest’s 2-Step $5K costs $15, and its $500 Instant account costs $10. With E8’s advertised 50% perps discount, E8 Pro $5K works out at $14. Per $1,000 of drawdown at $50K, E8 Pro (8%) and Vest’s 2-Step are cheapest.

Which perps prop firms pay out daily or on demand?

Daily: My Funded Perps Select, Prime and Signature (one request per New York day) and E8 Pro (one per day). On demand: My Funded Perps Elite, Vest, E8 One, Kraken Prop and Propr. Crypto Fund Trader pays after 15 traded days or every 30 days, or weekly with an add-on. A request window is not the same as payment: review times range from minutes to two business days.

Do perps prop firms charge funding rates?

Most pass through the venue’s funding: E8, Propr and Crypto Fund Trader on Bybit. Vest settles funding hourly on its own exchange. My Funded Perps ignores venue funding and charges a fixed hourly swap instead. Kraken Prop charges 0.033% a day. All of these are charged to your account balance, so they use up loss room.

What happens if a perps position is liquidated on a prop account?

The position closes, and at My Funded Perps a 0.1% liquidation penalty applies. The account itself survives unless equity crosses the drawdown or daily floor. In practice the floor is much tighter than the liquidation price, so the account usually breaches first.

Can I use bots or copy trading at perps prop firms?

Propr allows bots, agents and copy trading. My Funded Perps allows automation only through its own API and copy trading only between your own accounts. Vest bars API trading on funded accounts, and Kraken Prop has no API and bans third-party signals. Each firm also publishes a list of banned strategies, such as cross-account hedging or HFT, so read the one for your plan.

Can I trade stocks, indices or gold as perps at these firms?

Yes, at most of them. My Funded Perps lists 122 markets, including stocks, indices, FX and commodities. Vest offers index, stock, metal, energy and FX perps. E8 and Propr list stock, index, metal, energy and FX perpetuals. Kraken Prop adds Nasdaq 100 and S&P 500 perps to its crypto list. Crypto Fund Trader’s Bybit route is crypto only. These markets close or cut leverage over the weekend at most firms.
