Maven Trading rule traps, by account path. Maven’s official FAQ exposes enough detail to compare drawdown type, news restrictions, payout caps, consistency rules, and special-account rules without using third-party review claims.

What can trip you up
At A Glance
Rows To Inspect First
Use these rows to spot the account path where the rule friction changes.
Drawdown split row
Two Step is 8% static max and 4% daily; One Step is 5% trailing max and 3% daily; Three Step is 3% static max and 2% daily; Instant is 3% trailing max and 2% daily.
News window row
Standard/live accounts cannot open or close within two minutes either side of red-folder news. Instant accounts are excluded from this rule in the FAQ.
Payout cap row
Standard funded accounts have a $10,000 maximum withdrawal per 30-day rolling cycle per trader, with extra best-day/trade and interview rules above $5,000.
Special path row
Mini, OMO, Prediction Markets, and BNPL have distinct rules. Do not borrow standard challenge rules into those products.
Maven Trading Rules to Check First
| Path / area | Rule snapshot | What to verify + evidence |
|---|---|---|
| One / Two / Three Step Evaluation paths | Profit targets: Three Step 3% in each phase; Two Step 8% then 5%; One Step 8%. Drawdowns: Two Step 8% static max / 4% daily; One Step 5% trailing max / 3% daily; Three Step 3% static max / 2% daily. | Daily drawdown uses the higher of balance or equity at 00:00 UTC. Confirm challenge type and funded-stage terms before trading size. |
| News rule Non-instant | FAQ says the news rule does not apply to instant accounts. For covered accounts, traders cannot open or close trades two minutes either side of a red-folder news event. Live accounts follow the same news procedures. | Take-profit, target-profit, and in-profit closes during the window can matter. Check the current red-folder event list and covered instruments before news trading. |
| Two Step minimum days 0.5% days | Two Step requires 3 minimum profitable days of 0.5% in each phase, and the same 3 minimum profitable days in the funded phase for withdrawal. | Trading day is 00:00 UTC to 23:59 UTC. Recheck whether special paths like OMO or BNPL use different day rules. |
| Funded payout cap Standard funded | Maximum withdrawal is $10,000 per 30-day rolling cycle per trader. If total profit exceeds $5,000, best trading day or singular trade may not exceed 50% of profit in the funded-stage payout cycle. Above $5,000 in payouts, a risk interview is required. | Do not treat the cap as a payout guarantee. Check country-specific payout method and any risk-limited notice before requesting. |
| Instant Funding Consistency gate | Instant requires 3% profit to withdraw and a 20% or lower consistency score before withdrawal. Consistency is calculated as biggest winning day divided by total profit times 100. | Instant uses 3% trailing max drawdown and 2% daily drawdown in the FAQ. News rule does not apply to instant accounts, but other conduct rules still do. |
| Promotional Mini One payout model | One trade at a time, only one payout, 3% profit to withdraw, 70% split, 15% consistency based on highest trade, 1% max risk, 2% daily drawdown, and 3% trailing max drawdown. Timer is 24 hours after first trade. | This path is not a recurring account. Do not apply standard challenge payout assumptions. |
| OMO and BNPL Special products | OMO has 6% Phase 1 and 8% Phase 2 targets, 8% static max drawdown, 4% daily EOD drawdown, four minimum profitable days, 150-second minimum hold, funded news profit cap, M2 Account Saver, and first/second withdrawal caps. BNPL evaluation has no daily drawdown, no minimum days, no consistency score, 4% target, and 10% static max drawdown; funded BNPL adds daily drawdown, trailing max drawdown, 20% consistency, M2 Account Saver, and profit rebuild. | These rows are too different from standard challenges to summarize as one Maven rule. Check the selected product’s current FAQ before buying or trading. |
| Conduct and access Breach risk | FAQ prohibits HFT/toxic flow, arbitrage, copy trading from another individual, grid/gap trading, reverse/group hedging, exclusive hedging, EAs, gamifying, excessive scalping, and all-in risk behavior. Footer lists restricted countries and says MetaTrader is unavailable for US or Canada. | This page does not provide enforcement workarounds. Use official support for edge cases. |
Source notes
This page uses Maven’s official FAQ only for rule facts. It omits third-party payout-frequency, review, pricing, and social claims. The red-folder event list is long and time-sensitive, so traders should use the current official FAQ and calendar before trading news.
