Prop Firms Restricted in Thailand

Home » Prop Firm Restricted Countries » Prop Firms Restricted in Thailand

TL;DR: Thailand residents are currently fully restricted by Goat Funded Futures and DayTraders in the futures category and by Moneta Funded in the forex and CFD category. Their current first-party policies prevent Thai residents from opening or purchasing new accounts. No crypto-only prop firm currently publishes a first-party policy that fully bans Thailand residents. These policies were checked on August 8, 2026 and can change without notice.

This page lists only prop firms that currently state that traders residing in Thailand cannot register, purchase an evaluation, or open a new account. It does not mix in firms that accept Thai traders. Account-size limits and platform-specific conditions are also excluded because they are not complete country bans.

Prop firms that do not accept Thailand traders

Prop firm Market What the Thailand restriction means Official policy
Goat Funded Futures Futures Thailand appears on the firm's fully restricted country list. Residents cannot use any of its available platforms. Restricted countries
DayTraders Futures Thailand residents cannot purchase new accounts, add accounts, or activate new services. Country eligibility
Moneta Funded Forex and CFDs The firm states that it does not onboard clients from Thailand. General rules

The three firms above use different language, but each policy prevents a Thailand resident from starting a new account. A temporary-travel exception for an existing account does not make a firm available to a new Thailand-based customer.

Restricted futures prop firms in Thailand

Goat Funded Futures

Goat Funded Futures places Thailand on its fully restricted list for all platforms. Its policy says the restriction is based on regulatory, licensing, and payment-processing requirements. A Thailand resident should not purchase an evaluation or instant account unless the firm removes Thailand from the policy and confirms eligibility in writing.

Goat Funded Futures is a separate company and product from Goat Funded Trader. The CFD-focused Goat Funded Trader policy does not currently list Thailand, but that does not override the futures firm's explicit restriction.

DayTraders

DayTraders says it cannot offer new or additional accounts to people in Thailand. Its policy also blocks new service activation and transactions attempted while someone is in a restricted country.

The same policy describes a narrow exception for a customer who opened an account before temporarily traveling to a restricted country. That exception should not be interpreted as permission for a Thailand resident to register or buy a new account.

DayTraders is not the same company as TradeDay. Similar names are not evidence that the firms share country rules.

Restricted forex prop firms in Thailand

Moneta Funded

Moneta Funded states across its current site and general rules that it does not onboard clients from Thailand. The restriction applies before a trader reaches the evaluation or funded stage, so a Thailand resident should not attempt checkout based on a third-party promotion or an older country list.

Moneta Funded offers forex and CFD-style simulated trading programs. Its country policy should not be confused with the separate availability rules of Moneta Markets brokerage entities.

Restricted crypto prop firms in Thailand

No crypto-only prop firm currently publishes a first-party policy that fully blocks Thailand residents from registering, purchasing, or using every account route.

Crypto platform access can still differ by exchange or trading interface. A crypto prop firm may accept a trader while an underlying exchange, payment provider, or identity-verification provider limits access. Check the selected platform as well as the prop firm's own terms before paying.

Why prop firms restrict Thailand traders

A Thailand restriction does not necessarily mean the Thai government has banned every prop-firm evaluation. A firm may block the country because of its own compliance policy or because a platform, broker, market-data provider, payment processor, or identity-verification vendor will not support the account.

The practical result is the same for a new customer: if the firm lists Thailand as fully restricted, do not buy the account. The reason matters when comparing alternatives, but it does not create a workaround.

What Thailand traders should check before checkout

  • Read the firm's current country-policy page instead of relying on a coupon or comparison table.
  • Check whether the rule uses residence, citizenship, physical location, or a combination of all three.
  • Confirm that the same eligibility applies to the evaluation, simulated funded stage, possible live stage, and payout provider.
  • Verify the platform separately, especially when a crypto exchange, MetaTrader provider, futures broker, or market-data vendor is involved.
  • Save the policy and checkout terms that were visible on the purchase date.
  • Do not use a VPN, borrowed address, or another person's identity to bypass a restriction. That can lead to closure and rejected rewards.

Traders comparing other firms can use the BestProps prop-firm directory and then confirm country eligibility with the firm before purchasing.

Thailand trading and payout considerations

Country eligibility is only one part of the decision. The Thai SEC warns consumers about unlicensed financial businesses, and a prop-firm evaluation should not be mistaken for a regulated Thai brokerage account or guaranteed access to investor capital.

The Bank of Thailand's foreign-exchange rules can matter when money moves across borders. Payment-provider support, currency conversion, account-name matching, and documentation can affect both challenge purchases and performance rewards.

The Thai Revenue Department's foreign-income guide explains when foreign-sourced income may become assessable after remittance to Thailand. The treatment of a prop-firm reward depends on the contract and the trader's circumstances, so keep invoices, agreements, payout records, and exchange-rate records for a Thai tax professional.

Traders who want a domestic market alternative can also review the Thailand Futures Exchange, which offers regulated futures and options products and educational simulation tools.

Thailand prop firm restrictions FAQ

Which prop firms do not accept traders from Thailand

Goat Funded Futures, DayTraders, and Moneta Funded currently publish first-party policies that fully prevent Thailand residents from opening new accounts. The first two are futures firms, while Moneta Funded offers forex and CFD-style programs.

Are Goat Funded Futures and Goat Funded Trader the same firm

No. They are separate products with separate country policies. Goat Funded Futures currently lists Thailand as fully restricted. Goat Funded Trader's current restricted-country list does not include Thailand.

Is DayTraders the same as TradeDay

No. DayTraders and TradeDay are different futures prop firms. The Thailand restriction described on this page belongs to DayTraders.

Are crypto prop firms restricted in Thailand

No crypto-only firm currently publishes a first-party policy that fully bans Thailand residents. Platform, exchange, payment, and KYC availability can still create separate restrictions.

Can a trader use a VPN to bypass a Thailand restriction

No. A VPN does not change residence, citizenship, identity documents, payment origin, or contractual eligibility. Location masking can also violate account rules and lead to closure or a rejected reward.

Are all prop firms illegal in Thailand

There is no single answer for every business sold as a prop firm. Simulated evaluations, live brokerage access, investment services, and performance-reward agreements can involve different legal questions. A firm accepting Thailand residents is not proof of Thai regulatory approval.
