TL;DR: 26 BestProps-listed firms currently publish a complete restriction affecting traders in Russia. The verified set covers futures, forex and CFD, and crypto programs. Firms that still accept Russia, such as OneUp Trader under its current policy, are intentionally excluded rather than mixed into this restricted list.
This is a restricted-firm list. Firms that currently accept Russia residents are not included. Product-only limits and live-account-only limits are not counted as complete bans.

Why prop firms restrict Russia traders
Russia-related U.S., UK, EU, and other sanctions include targeted financial restrictions, and firms may also depend on brokers, clearing firms, market-data vendors, banks, card processors, and identity providers with their own Russia policies. This creates an operational chain in which any one provider can prevent account or payout access.
BestProps does not assume that every Russia-related measure creates a complete ban at every prop firm. Current company policy controls inclusion. That is why firms that explicitly continue to accept Russia are excluded even when older directory tags say otherwise.
Russia day trading markets and crypto rules
Russia has an active domestic exchange and derivatives market. Moscow Exchange publishes contracts and current schedules for its derivatives venue, which operates in Moscow time. Trading a MOEX-listed instrument through an authorized intermediary is a different legal and operational relationship from paying an overseas company for a simulated prop evaluation.
The distinction matters because a prop account generally does not hold the futures contract or security in the trader’s name. It records simulated performance under the firm’s agreement, and any payout depends on the firm’s eligibility, KYC, payment, and trading rules.
Russia’s crypto framework is also changing. The Bank of Russia reported in July 2026 that a new law governing cryptocurrency circulation will take effect on September 1, 2026. It provides regulated routes for qualified and non-qualified investors, limits certain non-qualified purchases, and continues to prohibit using cryptocurrency for domestic payments.
A crypto payout from a prop firm therefore raises more than one question. The firm must support Russia, the payout route must pass sanctions and KYC checks, and the resident must follow Russian reporting, intermediary, and payment rules. A wallet address alone does not resolve those issues.

What Russia traders should check before checkout
- Confirm that both citizenship and residence are eligible.
- Check the evaluation, simulated funded, live-funded, and payout rules separately.
- Use your real address and identity documents. A VPN does not change KYC eligibility.
- Confirm the payout provider supports your country and expected currency.
- Save a dated copy of the policy and checkout terms before paying.
- Confirm local foreign-exchange, tax, securities, and crypto rules with a qualified professional.
Russia prop firm restrictions FAQ
How many prop firms restrict traders from Russia?
BestProps verified 26 current firms with a complete restriction affecting at least one market covered on this page.
Does a restricted country always block the evaluation purchase?
Most policies on this page block new accounts or platform access. Some firms also consider citizenship, travel location, payout access, or the live-account stage, so the official policy remains the final source.
Are partial country limits included in the main list?
No. A firm that still allows an evaluation, simulated funded account, or payouts is not counted as completely restricted merely because its live-account path or one platform is unavailable.
Can a VPN make a restricted trader eligible?
No. Firms verify identity, residence, payment details, and login patterns. Concealing location can lead to account closure, payout denial, or loss of fees.
Are prop firm payouts treated like local brokerage gains?
Not necessarily. Evaluation payouts may be contractual or business income rather than gains from securities held in a brokerage account. Ask a local tax professional and keep complete records.
When did BestProps check these country policies?
The official sources on this page were checked on August 8, 2026. Recheck them immediately before purchase because firms and service providers can change eligibility lists.
