Why prop firms restrict Pakistan traders
Pakistan appears on many futures-firm lists because brokers, clearing firms, market-data vendors, card processors, and payout providers set their own country requirements. A firm may block account purchases even when a website remains visible from Pakistan.
The State Bank of Pakistan has separately warned residents that buying services from offshore foreign-exchange, margin-trading, and CFD platforms and remitting foreign exchange to them is prohibited under Pakistan’s foreign-exchange rules. That advisory is especially important for CFD-style evaluations, but it should not be treated as a blanket legal ruling on every simulated futures program.
Pakistan trading rules and local markets
The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan warns against unlicensed online platforms and says securities and commodities trading in Pakistan should be conducted through SECP-licensed securities or futures brokers. A prop firm’s simulated evaluation is not proof that it is a licensed local broker.
For local market access, Pakistan Stock Exchange publishes the current regular-market schedule. Monday through Thursday trading opens after the pre-open period and runs to 3:30 p.m. Pakistan time, while Friday is divided into two sessions. Exchange notices and holidays can change the schedule.
Payouts and evaluation fees can create tax and foreign-exchange questions that differ from ordinary gains on PSX securities. Keep invoices, account agreements, payout statements, and conversion records, then ask a Pakistan tax professional how the income should be reported.

What Pakistan traders should check before checkout
- Confirm that both citizenship and residence are eligible.
- Check the evaluation, simulated funded, live-funded, and payout rules separately.
- Use your real address and identity documents. A VPN does not change KYC eligibility.
- Confirm the payout provider supports your country and expected currency.
- Save a dated copy of the policy and checkout terms before paying.
- Confirm local foreign-exchange, tax, securities, and crypto rules with a qualified professional.
Pakistan prop firm restrictions FAQ
How many prop firms restrict traders from Pakistan?
BestProps verified 13 current firms with a complete restriction affecting at least one market covered on this page.
Does a restricted country always block the evaluation purchase?
Most policies on this page block new accounts or platform access. Some firms also consider citizenship, travel location, payout access, or the live-account stage, so the official policy remains the final source.
Are partial country limits included in the main list?
No. A firm that still allows an evaluation, simulated funded account, or payouts is not counted as completely restricted merely because its live-account path or one platform is unavailable.
Can a VPN make a restricted trader eligible?
No. Firms verify identity, residence, payment details, and login patterns. Concealing location can lead to account closure, payout denial, or loss of fees.
Are prop firm payouts treated like local brokerage gains?
Not necessarily. Evaluation payouts may be contractual or business income rather than gains from securities held in a brokerage account. Ask a local tax professional and keep complete records.
When did BestProps check these country policies?
The official sources on this page were checked on August 8, 2026. Recheck them immediately before purchase because firms and service providers can change eligibility lists.
