Research basis and limitations

This page preserves the current BestProps document-based profile. Exact deep-source URLs may not be stored with every record, so individual statements may not link to specific firm pages. No account purchase, live trading, support contact, identity check, or payout test was performed.

TL;DR: DayTraders.com is a futures-focused provider with three materially different paths. Standard evaluation accounts lead to simulated Pro accounts, Straight to Funded (S2F) skips the evaluation but also starts with simulated capital, and Straight to Live (S2L) is a separate evaluation that the firm says leads directly to a live brokerage account using firm capital. The homepage currently shows 25K, 50K, 150K, and 300K evaluation choices with intraday trailing, end-of-day (EOD) trailing, and static risk models, plus a $99 Pro activation fee after a standard evaluation. Pro payouts require at least 8 qualifying days, S2F payouts require 10, both have a $500 minimum request, and the published simulated profit split is 100%. S2L live accounts instead use an 80% trader share and daily payout requests. Onyx and Quantower licenses are included for many Rithmic accounts, while third-party support varies. Current promotional prices, billing type, account rules, country eligibility, and platform selection must be confirmed at checkout.

DayTraders review verdict

DayTraders.com offers one of the broader futures program menus BestProps has reviewed. A trader can select a conventional evaluation with several drawdown choices, buy an S2F account without first passing an evaluation, or enter the newer S2L route that is built to lead directly from one evaluation to live firm capital.

That range is useful only if the account labels are read carefully. A standard Pro account is not automatically a live brokerage account. DayTraders defines the Pro stage as simulated trading that can qualify for cash payouts. S2F is also simulated, despite the phrase "Straight to Funded." The firm separately documents S2L as the path to real market execution and firm capital after qualification.

The strongest parts of the offer are program choice, detailed rule pages, multiple risk-limit models, and a large Rithmic platform list. The weaker points are a dense collection of account-specific terms and official pricing language that can conflict. The homepage promotion visible during this review did not line up cleanly with its own discount banner, and billing documentation describes both monthly and one-time structures. The actual order summary matters more than a promotional card.

DayTraders programs

DayTraders currently presents several routes rather than one universal challenge:

Route Entry requirement Trading status after entry or pass Published payout structure
Standard evaluation Pass the selected evaluation Simulated Pro account 100% simulated profit split, subject to caps and rules
Straight to Funded No evaluation Simulated S2F account 100% simulated profit split, subject to S2F targets and caps
Straight to Live Pass the S2L evaluation Live brokerage account with firm capital 80% trader share and daily requests
DT-Games Free promotional account using code DTG Simulated contest activity Weekly random-draw format, not a normal funded program

Standard evaluations cover intraday trailing, EOD trailing, and static drawdown selections. The homepage displays 25K, 50K, 150K, and 300K options for its prominent Trail and EOD groups, while the help center also documents additional static sizes. S2F is offered at 25K, 50K, and 150K. S2L uses Core, Edge, and Ultra plans with starting buying power of $50,000, $150,000, and $300,000.

No rule should be transferred from one route to another without confirmation. S2F payout targets, standard Pro balance requirements, and S2L live rules are separate systems.

DayTraders evaluation costs

The DayTraders homepage showed the following standard evaluation examples when reviewed:

Evaluation Displayed regular price Displayed promotional price Pro activation fee after passing
25K Trail $249 $24.90 $99
50K Trail $379 $37.90 $99
150K Trail $699 $69.90 $99
300K Trail $879 $87.90 $99
25K EOD $309 $30.90 $99
50K EOD $469 $46.90 $99

These are time-sensitive examples, not permanent prices. The homepage banner stated an 80% special offer, while several displayed prices were 10% of the crossed-out regular price. That arithmetic implies a 90% reduction. BestProps does not resolve that conflict in the firm's favor or assume the larger discount will apply. Check the final price before submitting payment.

DayTraders says products may be purchased through a one-time option or monthly rebilling. The lifetime option requires four qualifying activity days during each rolling 30-day cycle, while a monthly account requires one. The billing terms page separately describes one-time lifetime payment language. Because the wording is not presented as one simple firm-wide table, traders should confirm whether the selected order is recurring or lifetime.

Payments are non-refundable. The official refund page applies this to evaluation fees, Pro fees, data fees, optional login services, and incorrect plan selections. DayTraders also says a failed Pro account cannot be reset. A trader must return through a new evaluation or another eligible route.

DayTraders evaluation rules

The standard evaluation shown on the homepage requires at least two qualifying days. A qualifying day must meet the minimum simulated profit for the account size. Published examples include $100 for 25K, $200 for 50K, $300 for 100K and 150K, and $400 for 300K.

Standard evaluations use a 50% consistency rule. No single trading day should account for more than 50% of total simulated profit. The help center says traders slightly above the line on the first day may receive a small variance, but this should not be treated as permission to plan around an exception. If consistency is not met, the trader can continue trading while staying within the drawdown limit.

DayTraders permits news trading and dollar-cost averaging under its published rules. Hedging is prohibited, including opposing positions across related instruments or accounts. Automated high-frequency trading is prohibited. The full terms also restrict delayed-feed tactics, platform freezing, certain automated or AI-driven activity, and strategies that exploit differences between simulated and live execution.

Positions may remain open through the daily close or weekend, but mark-to-market adjustments can still breach the loss limit. DayTraders says it does not automatically close every position at 4:59 PM ET. The trader remains responsible for open positions and pending orders. The BestProps guide to prop firm news trading rules provides a useful checklist for separating an allowed event from the execution risk around it.

DayTraders drawdown choices

DayTraders offers three major risk models across its standard evaluations.

Static drawdown keeps a fixed account floor. The help center's 100K static example uses a $1,500 threshold, leaving a fixed breach level at $98,500 even after simulated profits. This model can be easier to monitor because the floor does not rise.

Intraday trailing drawdown follows the Auto Liquidate Peak Balance, including open and closed profit. A profitable move can raise the threshold before the trade closes. That can leave less room if the same trade pulls back. The threshold stops trailing once it reaches the initial account balance.

EOD trailing drawdown updates from the end-of-day result rather than each intraday peak. The current 50K EOD homepage example lists a $2,000 total drawdown and a $1,250 daily loss limit. By comparison, the 50K Trail card lists a $2,500 total drawdown and no daily loss limit. One has more protection from intraday threshold movement, but the other publishes a larger total drawdown and no separate daily cap.

The BestProps drawdown rules guide explains how static, intraday trailing, and EOD trailing floors change the amount a trader can actually risk. The account's advertised starting balance should not be mistaken for usable loss capacity.

DayTraders Pro accounts

Passing a standard evaluation qualifies the trader to activate a Pro account. DayTraders publishes a one-time $99 activation fee across the documented Pro sizes and says the activation usually occurs within 30 minutes after the agreement is signed and payment is completed. Market closure can delay the account appearing in Rithmic.

The homepage says the activation deadline is 10 days after passing. A help-center activation article also warns that a Pro account not set up within 30 days of the last evaluation trade may be forfeited. Those statements address different clocks, but they are easy to confuse. A trader should follow the shorter 10-day deadline unless the signed agreement explicitly states otherwise.

Pro trading remains simulated. The account retains the evaluation's static or trailing metrics. Pro accounts use a 30% consistency rule, require eight qualifying days between payout requests, and have account-size-specific balance floors and payout caps. DayTraders allows up to 15 funded accounts in total, with sublimits that apply to EOD and S2F products.

DayTraders Straight to Funded accounts

S2F skips the evaluation and opens directly as a simulated funded account. It is not evidence that firm capital has been deposited into a brokerage account. DayTraders says S2F trades are simulated and that performance can qualify for payouts.

The current S2F reference page lists these activation examples before promotions:

S2F size Published activation fee Daily loss limit Maximum drawdown
$25,000 $370 None $1,000
$50,000 $570 $1,250 $2,500
$150,000 $825 $3,750 $6,000

S2F uses an EOD trailing maximum-loss limit that stops at the starting balance. The daily loss limit is described as a soft breach that liquidates positions and locks the account until the next trading day. The program requires 10 qualifying days between payout requests, a 20% consistency rule, and account-size-specific profit targets for each payout cycle.

The first S2F payout target is $2,000 on 25K, $3,500 on 50K, and $10,000 on 150K. Later targets step down. Maximum payout requests are $1,000, $2,000, and $3,000 respectively. A maximum of five S2F accounts may be held within the overall funded-account limit.

DayTraders live capital pathways

DayTraders publishes two possible paths toward live capital, but neither should be described as guaranteed.

The first is a performance review from simulated Pro or S2F trading. The payout FAQ says traders may be moved to a live account based on performance and risk review, and states that about 1% of traders coming through the simulated funded program are currently transitioned. A separate help article says a trader graduates from the simulated phase after a maximum of six payouts across Pro accounts on six dates, after which trades are reviewed for live-account qualification. These descriptions do not create an automatic right to promotion.

The second is S2L, a separate evaluation made specifically for direct transition to live firm capital. Current Core, Edge, and Ultra plans require eight qualifying days. Their profit targets are $3,000, $8,500, and $15,000, with intraday trailing drawdowns of $2,000, $4,500, and $7,000. After passing, the firm says setup takes one to five business days and activation and real-time data fees are free.

The distinction is central to this DayTraders review. Pro and S2F payouts can be real cash while the trading account itself remains simulated. S2L documentation, by contrast, expressly describes a live brokerage account and real market execution.

DayTraders payouts

Pro and S2F accounts publish a 100% simulated profit split. That headline does not remove payout conditions. Both require a minimum $500 request, qualifying days, consistency compliance, balance thresholds, and an eligible payout method.

For standard Pro accounts, the minimum is eight qualifying days between requests. The current maximum per request ranges from $1,000 on 25K to $5,000 on 300K. A 50K Pro account must reach at least $52,600 to request and remain at or above $52,000 after withdrawal. S2F uses 10 qualifying days, changing targets after each payout, and lower stated request caps for its three sizes.

DayTraders says requests approved before 5:00 PM ET reflect the same day, but it also instructs the trader to place a trade after submitting so the system creates the required report. That is dashboard-processing guidance, not a promise that external receipt is instant. Plane is the payout provider named in the official instructions.

Live S2L accounts use an 80% trader share and allow daily requests, subject to a starting-balance-plus-$1,000 buffer. The BestProps payout caps guide shows why a 100% split can still produce a smaller near-term withdrawal than an account with a lower split and a higher cap.

DayTraders platforms and markets

DayTraders is futures-only. The site permits futures contracts listed on CME, COMEX, NYMEX, and CBOT. It does not support forex, CFDs, individual stocks, options, or crypto within these programs.

Onyx is the firm's preferred platform and is powered by Rithmic. Quantower is also included for supported Rithmic accounts. The official connection table lists MotiveWave, ATAS, Bookmap, Finamark, Jigsaw, Sierra Chart, and VolFix among third-party choices, though some require a separate license and operating-system support differs.

NinjaTrader, MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5, and direct TradingView access are stated as unsupported. Onyx uses TradingView charts, but that is not the same as connecting a DayTraders account to the TradingView platform. Live-account compatibility has its own list, so a platform available for a simulated account should not be assumed to work after live transition.

DayTraders country and payment boundaries

The services are limited to non-professional traders age 18 or older who satisfy the terms and sanctions checks. DayTraders publishes a long restricted-country list that currently includes China, Cyprus, Indonesia, Nigeria, Pakistan, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Thailand, Turkey, Ukraine, Vietnam, and many others.

Transactions attempted while physically present in a restricted country are blocked. Existing accounts may remain tradable during travel according to the help article, but new purchases, activations, and added accounts are unavailable until the trader returns to an eligible country. Using a VPN during purchase can cause a payment decline.

The terms identify Day Traders LLC as a Nevada limited liability company. They say purchase payments can be made by credit or debit card in U.S. dollars through third-party processors, using a method authorized in the customer's own name. Payouts require an account method to be configured through the dashboard, with Plane named as an example. Identity fraud, payment fraud, account sharing, or sanctions problems can end eligibility.

DayTraders free trading tools

DT-Games provides a free promotional way to interact with a DayTraders account. The current page instructs participants to use coupon code DTG for an ArcTrader account with free market data, place a trade, and post a screenshot on X while tagging the firm. The weekly window runs from Sunday at 6:00 PM ET through Friday at 5:00 PM ET.

This is a giveaway format, not a free standard evaluation and not proof of payout eligibility under Pro, S2F, or S2L terms. It can still help a trader test the account interface and basic futures workflow without buying a normal plan. Giveaway eligibility also depends on country restrictions and claim deadlines.

Before buying a paid account, traders can compare starting balances with actual drawdown room using the BestProps account-size worksheet. The BestProps consistency calculator can also show how one large winning day changes the total profit required under a 50%, 30%, 25%, or 20% rule.

DayTraders trader fit

DayTraders may suit futures traders who:

  • want a choice among static, intraday trailing, and EOD trailing loss models;
  • can track qualifying-day and consistency conditions;
  • want Onyx, Quantower, or another supported Rithmic front end;
  • prefer either a conventional evaluation or a no-evaluation simulated account; or
  • specifically want an S2L route documented to lead directly to firm capital.

It may be a poor fit for traders who:

  • need NinjaTrader, Tradovate, MetaTrader, direct TradingView, forex, or stocks;
  • live in or are purchasing from a restricted country;
  • need refundable fees or a reset after failing a Pro account;
  • do not want an additional activation fee after a standard evaluation; or
  • may confuse a simulated payout account with live brokerage capital.

Traders comparing alternatives can review the BestProps prop firm directory and should compare usable drawdown, total required fees, payout caps, and platform fit rather than the largest advertised account balance.

DayTraders checks before buying

Before paying, save the order summary and confirm:

  • whether the order is lifetime or monthly;
  • the current price after the promotion is applied;
  • the evaluation, S2F, or S2L route;
  • the exact drawdown calculation and daily loss rule;
  • all qualifying-day and consistency thresholds;
  • the $99 Pro activation fee and applicable deadline;
  • the payout target, minimum balance, request cap, and cycle;
  • the platform, license, and Rithmic connection requirements;
  • country, age, KYC, sanctions, and payment eligibility; and
  • whether the eventual account is simulated or live.

Official rules and checkout terms can change after this review's recheck date. The signed agreement and current order should control the purchase decision.

Disclosure: BestProps reviews public information for educational comparison. Standard DayTraders evaluation, Pro, and S2F activity is simulated. S2L is a separate route that the firm documents as leading to live firm capital after qualification. Neither a passed evaluation nor a simulated payout guarantees live placement, future payouts, or profitability.
