Evidence tiers used on this page

  • Tier A — first-party company announcement (strongest).
  • Tier B — current official domain or legal/company page.
  • Tier C — named industry publication.
  • Tier D — aggregator or third-party prop coverage.

A row is labeled Reported unless at least two independent sources — including a Tier A announcement or an archived old-domain notice — support a stronger Official label. No row currently carries an Official label. Chatter, matching logos, similar checkout flows, and rumors can start an internal review but never create a row on their own.

Reported rebrand rows

Source-reported tracker: these rows are not legal, regulatory, payout, insolvency, ownership, or wrongdoing findings.

Prior brand Current brand or label Evidence tier Supported claim What is not claimed Trader check Last checked
AscendX Capital Quant Tekel / QT Funded (qtfunded.com) Reported (Tier B + C) Finance Magnates reported (September 2024) that AscendX Capital had rebranded to QuantTekel and was migrating. As of this check, the prop-trading arm operates at qtfunded.com under the Quant Tekel / QT Funded brand, and quanttekel.com states it “does not offer prop trading evaluations” and directs prop users to qtfunded.com as its “new home.” The brokerage side, Quant Tekel (Pty) Ltd, is a separate FSCA-authorised entity. No ownership, liability, payout, or wrongdoing conclusion. The row does not say every Quant Tekel, QT Funded, or QuantTekel legal entity is identical to AscendX Capital, and it does not tie the regulated brokerage entity to the prop-firm evaluation product beyond the shared brand name. Check which QT entity you are dealing with: QT Funded prop (qtfunded.com) is presented separately from the Quant Tekel (Pty) Ltd brokerage (quanttekel.com), and payments/contracting run through further group entities. Confirm the current site, platform, and jurisdiction before comparing rules. July 5, 2026
MyFundedFX SeacrestFunded Reported (Tier C) Finance Magnates and FX News Group reported (February 2025) that MyFundedFX rebranded to SeacrestFunded, aligned with a Seacrest-branded brokerage wing. See the dated closure note below for the current status of the Seacrest Markets brand, which is tracked as a separate observation. No successor-liability, refund-liability, ownership, payout-denial, or wrongdoing conclusion. This row does not merge MyFunded Futures into the SeacrestFunded brand, and it does not attach a motive to any later closure. Do not treat old MyFundedFX reviews and SeacrestFunded pages as interchangeable, and check MyFunded Futures separately — reporting treated it as a distinct brand. July 5, 2026
E8 Funding E8 Markets Reported (Tier B + D) Third-party prop coverage described E8 Funding rebranding to E8 Markets. As of this check, both e8funding.com and e8markets.com serve the same E8 Markets site. The site’s company details name E8 Funding LLC (Dallas, Texas) and E8 Markets Ltd (Saint Lucia) in different operating roles, with the website stated to be managed under Digital Renaissance LLC. No claim that the visible site brand and each legal entity name are interchangeable, and no ownership, control, or successor-liability conclusion across those entities. Read the current terms: the visible site name (E8 Markets) and the legal/entity text (E8 Funding LLC, E8 Markets Ltd, Digital Renaissance LLC) may not use the same label, and platform access differs by entity. July 5, 2026
TopTier Trader TX3 Funding Reported (Tier B + D) TX3 Funding’s own blog page title uses the phrase “Previously TopTier Trader” on an MT5 update, and third-party prop coverage reports a TopTier Trader to TX3 Funding rebrand. No claim that all TopTier Trader programs, obligations, dashboards, or legal entities carried over unchanged. Check whether you are buying an FX or futures product, and verify dashboard, platform, and payout rules on the current TX3 domain. July 5, 2026

Inclusion on this page does not mean fraud, ownership continuity, liability continuity, unpaid obligations, or wrongdoing. It means the row has a dated source for a specific brand or status observation.

Dated closure note (tracked separately from rebrand claims)

Closures are recorded as their own dated observations, not merged into a rebrand row, so no motive or successor-liability narrative is implied.

Seacrest Markets Site says brand is no longer operating Tier B (current domain) The current seacrestmarkets.io page states “Seacrest Markets is no longer operating” and gives a support email. Finance Magnates separately reported (February 2026) that Seacrest would wind down prop accounts. Reporting had earlier linked the Seacrest brand to the MyFundedFX/SeacrestFunded rebrand above. No claim about who holds any remaining obligations, refunds, or customer funds; no payout-denial, insolvency, or wrongdoing conclusion; no motive attached to the closure. Context rows that are not firm-successor claims

Brand or platform Current label Evidence tier Supported claim What is not claimed Trader check Last checked
Hantec Trader htrader.hmarkets.com Not a rebrand TradeInformer reported a Hantec Trader rebrand and URL change. The current Hantec Trader site presents Hantec Trader Limited under the htrader.hmarkets.com domain. No successor-entity claim. This row is treated as a URL and brand-wrapper update unless a stronger official source says a separate firm changed names. Treat this as a URL/brand-wrapper update unless a stronger official source says a separate firm changed names. July 5, 2026
The Upside Funding The Upside Funding redesigned brand and site Not a rebrand Finance Magnates reported that The Upside Funding rolled out a redesigned brand and website after roughly its first year. The current site still uses The Upside Funding name. No prior-brand or successor-firm claim found in this check. Use this row only as a brand-refresh example; do not imply the firm changed from a different prior prop firm. July 5, 2026
NinjaTrader / Tradovate prop platform labels NinjaTrader Prop and Tradovate Prop Not a rebrand NinjaTrader announced prop-trader platform experiences under NinjaTrader Prop and Tradovate Prop. This affects platform naming and access, not a prop firm name change. No claim that a prop firm changed name because its traders use these platform labels. Do not list a prop firm as rebranded just because its traders now log into NinjaTrader Prop or Tradovate Prop. July 5, 2026

Source standard

Rows need at least one strong source: an official announcement, old-domain notice, current-domain legal/company page, regulator or corporate record, platform-provider notice, or credible named industry report. Reddit posts, Discord screenshots, matching logos, similar checkout flows, and trader rumors can start an internal review, but they cannot create a public rebrand row by themselves.

Freshness rules

Checked July 5, 2026.

  • Recheck every public row within 30 days before first publication.
  • Recheck within 7 days when the row involves closure, refunds, regulatory issues, payout disputes, insolvency claims, or any allegation-heavy context.
  • Move stale rows back to “needs re-check” after 30 days for reported rows or 90 days for lower-risk context rows.

Corrections and right of response

Firms can send corrections with source links, status updates, or documentation through BestProps contact channels. Serious disputes should be reviewed before a row is expanded, upgraded, or used in a firm-history page. Firm marketing metrics (for example trader counts or total-paid-out figures) are treated as firm claims, not verified facts.
