Dollars per $1,000 of drawdown is clean-pass cost divided by max drawdown in dollars, divided by 1,000. A $27 fee on $300 costs $90 per $1,000; a $127 fee on $5,000 costs $25.40 per $1,000.

Cheapest forex prop firms, ranked

Order is fixed by cost per $1,000 of drawdown at $50K, cheapest first. Every figure traces to the firm’s own live pages, read October 1, 2026.

Blue Guardian 2 Step Nano $50K buys the cheapest drawdown here, with the simplest static floor in this post

Verdict: First by far on cost per $1,000 of drawdown, with a static floor that never trails.

Video: “How to start trading with only $10,” Blue Guardian official YouTube channel, 2026-05-18. Source type: vendor-produced. Why selected: Blue Guardian’s own video on starting with a small account, the Instant Starter shape below.

Blue Guardian’s 2 Step Nano prices a $50K eval at $127, a static $5,000 drawdown floor, the cheapest cost per $1,000 of room here.

Worked example: the floor product, Instant Starter $5K, costs $14.67 and buys $250 of drawdown room, $58.68 per $1,000. At 2 Step Nano $50K, the fee is $127 for $5,000 of room, $25.40 per $1,000.

  • Drawdown shape: 2 Step Nano $50K: $5,000 static max loss, fixed from the starting balance, never trails. The cheaper Instant Starter $5K ($14.67) carries a 5% TRAILING floor instead, locking at breakeven.
  • Retry or reset: No reset price published (no reset on the 2 Step Nano line)
  • Payout gate, swap and platform: 2% payout cap/14-day cycle, 50% consistency before first request; 3% payout fee; swap unpublished; MT5/Match-Trader/TradeLocker.
  • Leverage and access: 1:30 forex leverage on Instant Starter, 1:50 on 2 Step Nano. US clients are restricted to Match-Trader or TradeLocker; MT5 is not offered in the US.
  • Refund: Not published on 2 Step Nano; Instant Starter excludes its fee from any refund.
  • Watch out for: No reset exists on this line: a breach means buying again at list price.
  • Trustpilot: rating hidden (“breach of our guidelines” banner), 2,094 reviews. Blue Guardian profile, payouts.

E8 Markets E8 Pro 1-Step keeps a true static floor, no consistency rule

Verdict: Second. A clean static drawdown and low-friction payout gate here, once the retry is counted.

E8 Markets’ E8 Pro 1-Step $50K lists at $228, a $4,000 static floor, no published consistency rule.

Worked example: the floor product, E8 Pro 1-Step $5K, costs $32 and buys $400 of drawdown room, $80 per $1,000. At E8 Pro 1-Step $50K, the fee is $228 for $4,000 of room, $57 per $1,000.

  • Drawdown shape: E8 Pro 1-Step $50K: $4,000 static drawdown, fixed from the opening balance, moves only at first payout.
  • Retry or reset: $433.20 (a 10% retry discount)
  • Payout gate, swap and platform: 50% of every payout withheld as a buffer, paid only at split. Swap-free +10%; cTrader +$10 under $100.
  • Leverage and access: 1:30 forex leverage (1:15 indices and metals), unchanged between the evaluation and the funded account. No country-specific leverage cut published.
  • Refund: No, never refunded.
  • Watch out for: Only half of every payout’s profit is requestable: the 50% buffer applies before any split.
  • Trustpilot: rating hidden (“breach of our guidelines” banner), 3,298 reviews. E8 Markets profile, rules.

FundedNext Stellar Lite trades a tighter loss box for the lowest no-code list price

Verdict: Third. A hard 4% daily loss is normal for this tier, not a fail; the catch is where the refund lands.

Video: “Restart Your Trading Journey: Resetting FundedNext Account | FundedNext Explained,” FundedNext official YouTube channel, 2024-01-09. Source type: vendor-produced. Why selected: FundedNext’s own video on resetting a challenge at a discounted price.

FundedNext’s Stellar Lite $50K lists at $229.99, a $4,000 static max loss plus a hard 4% daily loss.

Worked example: the floor product, Stellar Lite $5K, costs $32.99 and buys $400 of drawdown room, $82.47 per $1,000. At Stellar Lite $50K, the fee is $229.99 for $4,000 of room, $57.50 per $1,000.

  • Drawdown shape: Stellar Lite $50K: $4,000 static max loss ($400 at $5K), plus a hard 4% daily loss ($200 at $5K) ending the account on breach, the normal forex 2-step shape.
  • Retry or reset: $436.98 (no reset product; a breach means a full new purchase at list)
  • Payout gate, swap and platform: No consistency rule; swap-free +10%; MT5/MT4 free, cTrader/Match-Trader +$25.
  • Leverage and access: 1:30 forex leverage (1:10 indices and commodities, 1:1 crypto, 1:2 stock), the same table at evaluation and funded. U.S. clients must use Match-Trader; the cTrader or Match-Trader platform add-on fee is non-refundable for everyone else.
  • Refund: Yes, but with the 3rd Performance Reward, not the 1st.
  • Watch out for: The fee returns only at the 3rd reward; the first waits 21 days post-funding, and up to 3.5% plus gateway charges come off every payout.
  • Trustpilot: 4.5/5 on 80,485 reviews. FundedNext rules, payouts.

Hola Prime 2-Step Prime refunds its fee across four payouts, but activation and reset prices are unpublished

Verdict: Fourth. Clean-pass cost understates true cost: activation and reset prices are a genuine gap, not a confirmed $0.

Video: “Payout Cycles Explained , Bi-Weekly vs Monthly vs On Demand | Hola Prime Rules (2026),” Hola Prime official YouTube channel, 2026-07-30. Source type: vendor-produced. Why selected: Hola Prime’s own video on its Bi-Weekly, Monthly and On-Demand payout cycles, the choice that sets the split priced here.

Hola Prime’s 2-Step Prime $50K lists at $319, a $5,000 static max loss, but activation and reset prices are unpublished.

Worked example: the floor product, 2-Step Prime $5K, costs $39 and buys $500 of drawdown room, $78 per $1,000. At 2-Step Prime $50K, the fee is $319 for $5,000 of room, $63.80 per $1,000.

  • Drawdown shape: 2-Step Prime $50K: $5,000 static max loss (10%), with a hard 5% daily loss including floating P&L that ends the account on breach.
  • Retry or reset: No reset price published
  • Payout gate, swap and platform: No consistency on Bi-Weekly (On-Demand 40%); 2.5% payout fee; swap-free +10%.
  • Leverage and access: 50:1 forex leverage, unchanged from the challenge to the simulated funded account.
  • Refund: Yes, 100% back in four 25% instalments across the first four payouts.
  • Watch out for: A discretionary Consistency Program can zero out profits on a ‘High Risk’ finding with no named breach; activation and reset prices are unpublished.
  • Trustpilot: 4.5/5 on 3,856 reviews. Hola Prime rules.

Alpha Capital Group’s Alpha Pro 6% has no activation fee, but no reset either

Verdict: Fifth. A clean no-activation-fee sticker, undercut by a payout gate and no reset product.

Video: “Skip the Evaluation. Keep 90%. Start from Day 1. ⚡,” Alpha Capital Group official YouTube channel, 2026-07-26. Source type: vendor-produced. Why selected: Alpha Capital Group’s own MT5 login tutorial.

Alpha Capital Group’s Alpha Pro 6% $50K lists at $217 ($173.60 with ALPHA20), a $3,000 static max drawdown, no activation fee.

Worked example: the floor product, Alpha Pro 6% $5K, costs $27 and buys $300 of drawdown room, $90 per $1,000. At Alpha Pro 6% $50K, the fee is $217 for $3,000 of room, $72.33 per $1,000.

  • Drawdown shape: Alpha Pro 6% $50K: $3,000 static max drawdown (6%, fixed), with a 3% daily loss on top.
  • Retry or reset: No reset price published (no reset; a breach is a new purchase at the same $217/$27 price)
  • Payout gate, swap and platform: On-demand payouts need 2% gross profit + 40% Best Day Rule, every request. ALPHA20 (20% off) runs through October 31, 2026.
  • Leverage and access: 1:100 forex leverage (1:30 metals, 1:20 indices, 1:10 oil), the same ratio on the funded Qualified Analyst account.
  • Refund: Not published; no statement the fee is refunded with any payout.
  • Watch out for: No reset: a breach means buying again. Five payouts (or one $40,000 payout) trigger a discretionary live-account review.
  • Trustpilot: rating hidden (“breach of our guidelines” banner), 21,810 reviews. Alpha Capital Group payouts, status.

FTMO’s 1-Step is the cheaper sticker; the 2-Step is the cheaper route to funded

Verdict: Sixth on cost per $1,000 of drawdown, and the best-known name here. Two products answer two different questions.

Video: “FTMO 1-Step Challenge Explained: All 4 Rules You Must Know,” FTMO official YouTube channel, 2026-03-22. Source type: vendor-produced. Why selected: FTMO’s own video explaining the four rules of the 1-Step Challenge priced here.

FTMO prices 1-Step $50K at EUR 319 (~$363), a $5,000 trailing max loss; its 2-Step $50K at EUR 345 carries a static 10% floor and a full fee refund at the first Reward.

Worked example: the floor product, FTMO 1-Step $10K (EUR 79), costs $89.72 and buys $1,000 of drawdown room, $89.72 per $1,000. At FTMO 1-Step $50K (EUR 319), the fee is $363.14 for $5,000 of room, $72.63 per $1,000.

  • Drawdown shape: 1-Step $50K (EUR 319, ~$363.14 at the European Central Bank rate of September 30, 2026, 1.1355): $5,000 end-of-day TRAILING max loss. The 2-Step $50K (EUR 345) carries a static 10% floor instead.
  • Retry or reset: $726.28 (no reset either path; a failed attempt is a new purchase at full EUR list)
  • Payout gate, swap and platform: 1-Step: 50% Best Day Rule on passing and every Reward. No swap-free account either path.
  • Leverage and access: 1:100 forex leverage on the Standard account type, which cannot be increased. A 1:30 Swing account type exists only on the 2-Step product, not the 1-Step priced here.
  • Refund: The 1-Step fee never refunds. The 2-Step’s EUR 345 fee refunds 100% with the first Reward.
  • Watch out for: The 1-Step is dearer in practice: never refunded, with a 10% max loss trailing end-of-day highs.
  • Trustpilot: 4.8/5 on 53,448 reviews. FTMO profile, rules.

FundingPips 2 Step Pro prices a 6% static floor cheaply, but its Prime call-up can’t be declined

Verdict: Seventh on cost; read the call-up first.

Video: “FundingPips Pro is crafted for traders looking for a more affordable 2-Step Model,” FundingPips official YouTube channel, 2025-04-25. Source type: vendor-produced. Why selected: FundingPips’ own video on its affordable 2-Step Pro model, the product priced here.

$33 on $5K, $249 near $50K.

Worked example: the floor product, 2 Step Pro $5K, costs $33 and buys $300 of drawdown room, $110 per $1,000. At 2 Step Pro $50K, the fee is $249 for $3,000 of room, $83 per $1,000.

  • Drawdown shape: 2 Step Pro $50K: $3,000 static max loss (6%, fixed), plus a 3% daily loss.
  • Retry or reset: $448.20 (a Phase 1 reset is 20% off within 7 days of a breach)
  • Payout gate, swap and platform: None on Weekly 80% split; 35% consistency plus 7 profit days only on Monthly 100%; MT5/MatchTrader bundled, cTrader +$20.
  • Leverage and access: 1:100 forex leverage on the standard account, dropping to 1:30 forex if the Swing or Swap-Free add-on is selected. U.S. residents cannot use MT5 or cTrader and are limited to Match-Trader; the firm also restricts Iran, Vietnam, UAE and FATF or EU or UN sanctioned countries.
  • Refund: No on 2 Step Pro; only 2 Step Standard refunds its fee, and only at the 4th reward.
  • Watch out for: Live call-up: a Prime Account invite is deemed automatically accepted. Declining can end the account; unpaid profit becomes non-cash Prime capital.
  • Trustpilot: 4.5/5 on 69,532 reviews. FundingPips profile, rules.

Funding Traders’ 2-Step Pro6 prices a static floor cheaply, but its refund timing conflicts across pages

Verdict: Eighth. A workable static-drawdown price, with a refund that lands later than the homepage claims.

Funding Traders’ 2-Step Pro6 $50K prices a $3,000 static max loss, with a 100% fee refund landing on the second payout, not the first as its homepage states.

Worked example: the floor product, 2-Step Pro6 $5K, costs $49 and buys $300 of drawdown room, $163.33 per $1,000. At 2-Step Pro6 $50K, the fee is $259 for $3,000 of room, $86.33 per $1,000.

  • Drawdown shape: 2-Step Pro6 $50K: $3,000 static max loss (6%, fixed), with a 3% daily loss on top.
  • Retry or reset: $362.60 (a Phase 1 reset is 40% of the original cost)
  • Payout gate, swap and platform: No consistency rule confirmed. Standard swap in the funded phase unless the paid Zero Fees add-on is used.
  • Leverage and access: 1:50 forex leverage on FX majors (1:30 on EURGBP, GBPJPY and minors), the same table at evaluation and funded. A Discipline Program trigger can cut funded leverage to 1:30 after the account is live.
  • Refund: Yes, 100% as a ‘Refund Bonus,’ on the SECOND payout, not the first, despite homepage wording.
  • Watch out for: The homepage FAQ conflicts with the help article on timing: every buyer waits one extra payout cycle.
  • Trustpilot: rating hidden (“breach of our guidelines” banner), 3,258 reviews. Funding Traders rules.

FXIFY Three Phase refunds its fee at the first payout, but adds a phase and a hard daily loss

Verdict: Ninth. The fee comes back fastest of any ranked firm, offset by an extra phase and real daily-loss risk.

FXIFY’s Three Phase $50K lists at $249, a $2,500 static max drawdown, 100% fee refund at first payout, offset by a hard real-time daily loss and a third phase.

Worked example: the floor product, Three Phase $5K, costs $39 and buys $250 of drawdown room, $156 per $1,000. At Three Phase $50K, the fee is $249 for $2,500 of room, $99.60 per $1,000.

  • Drawdown shape: Three Phase $50K: $2,500 static max drawdown (5% at every phase), plus a 5% equity-based daily loss, checked live.
  • Retry or reset: No reset price published (no reset; FAQ mentions an unpublished ‘discounted rate’)
  • Payout gate, swap and platform: No consistency rule. Swap Not published; bundled MT5, DXTrade or TradingView.
  • Leverage and access: Up to 1:30 leverage; the firm does not publish a separate eval-versus-funded split for the Three Phase product priced here.
  • Refund: Yes, 100% refunded with the first payout on the 1/2/3-Phase line.
  • Watch out for: The daily loss is checked on live equity and can breach before the static floor is threatened; 11+ dated post-pass terminations for ‘latency arbitrage’ since January 2026.
  • Trustpilot: 4.3/5 on 6,345 reviews. FXIFY rules, profile.

City Traders Imperium’s $29 floor refunds in full at first profit, but its floor never locks

Verdict: Tenth. The cheapest real entry in the ranked group by sticker, with a floor that climbs for the account’s life.

City Traders Imperium’s 1-Step $50K lists at $299, a $2,500 floor trailing new balance highs, and a 100% fee refund at the first 10% profit target.

Worked example: the floor product, 1-Step $2.5K, costs $29 and buys $125 of drawdown room, $232 per $1,000. At 1-Step $50K, the fee is $299 for $2,500 of room, $119.60 per $1,000.

  • Drawdown shape: 1-Step $50K: $2,500 (5%), a continuous BALANCE-trailing high-watermark rising with every new high, never locking, at every size including the $2.5K floor.
  • Retry or reset: No reset price published (a reset is 15% off list, an emailed code)
  • Payout gate, swap and platform: No consistency rule; scaling only. Standard swap at rollover; swap-free on request, price unpublished.
  • Leverage and access: Leverage is not published on the firm’s own platform page for either platform it offers, a real gap for anyone position-sizing before they buy.
  • Refund: Yes, 100% refunded at the first 10% funded profit target.
  • Watch out for: The floor never locks and keeps rising; a passing trader can be invited, with no decline option published, into a third-party broker agreement.
  • Trustpilot: 4.2/5 on 1,627 reviews. City Traders Imperium payouts.

Maven Trading’s $13 sticker is cheapest here, and the most expensive per $1,000 of drawdown

Verdict: Eleventh. The hook of this post: the lowest list price on the site buys the least drawdown room of anything ranked.

Video: “Maven Challenge Add-Ons Expla
