Key takeaways
Nine prop firms clear our size bar on their own numbers or on live Trustpilot volume. Seven pass our severity check, led by Topstep on stated payouts: Topstep, Apex Trader Funding, FTMO, Tradeify, FundingPips, FundedNext and Alpha Capital Group. A live call-up is a warning, not a verdict, so we name it in each affected block. Only MyFundedFutures and The5ers stay cautionary.

Quick picks among the biggest prop firms in 2026
- Biggest by stated payouts: Topstep, “$1.5B+ Paid out to traders”. A Live call-up is a watch-out here, not a disqualifier.
- Biggest that passes with a static floor: FTMO 2-Step, €345. “$650M+ Paid in rewards”, 53,443 reviews at 4.8.
- Most reviews: FundedNext Stellar 2-Step, $299.99. 80,482 reviews, and a dated payout report.
- Cheapest biggest futures evaluation: Tradeify Select, $165. Cautionary firms aside, this is the entry-price floor.
Most lists of the biggest prop firms assert size with no number, or repeat an undated counter. This one quotes each firm’s headline figure with its page, says what it counts, and sets it beside two signals the firm does not control: registry date and the live Trustpilot review count.
How we measured the biggest prop firms

- Sources: each firm’s own pages, read September 30, 2026, after scrolling animated counters until they settle; registries; live Trustpilot profiles.
- Size bar: at least $100M in firm-stated payouts worded as paid (paid out, paid to traders, payouts, disbursements, compensation), or at least 20,000 live Trustpilot reviews.
- Not counted as payouts: figures worded rewarded, rewards, earned by traders or performance fees. We quote and label them.
- Severity: a live call-up is a fact we name as a watch-out, for traders to weigh. A different finding, such as a floor-value conflict on a firm’s own pages, sends a flagship to the cautionary tier.
- Order: ranked firms by stated payouts and review volume; tables by each firm’s headline figure.
Four of the page-one lists we read for this keyword are published by prop firms, and AquaFunded ranks itself first on its own “Top 10+ Prop Firms in the World” page. We treat those lists as claims, not sources. New to the model? Start with what a prop firm is and our rules index.
What a biggest prop firm payout number counts

The words matter more than the digits. FundedNext shows “$387.5M+ TOTAL REWARDED” on its homepage and “$271.4M+ in net disbursements” in its own dated report. Lucid Trading says “$700M+ earned by traders”, which may include simulated profit that was never paid. Alpha Capital Group says “$100M+ Performance Fees” but words only $70M as paid. Most counters are undated, and none of the firms here names an independent auditor of its total; E8 Markets and Blue Guardian link on-chain records for crypto payouts only.
Our own payouts hub was last updated July 7, 2026 and has no cumulative column, so it is not a size source here.

Evaluation models and risk rules at the biggest prop firms
“Biggest” hides real differences in how a trader actually qualifies and keeps the money. The nine firms here split into four loss-floor types, and the type matters more than the headline percentage.
- Static floor: the loss limit never moves from the starting balance. FTMO (10% static, $5,000 at $50K), FundingPips 2 Step Pro (6%, $3,000), FundedNext Stellar (10%, $5,000) and Alpha Capital Group Alpha Pro (6%, $3,000) all use this shape. The5ers’ High Stakes is also static, but its own pages disagree on the value (8% on the size table, 10% in the FAQ).
- End-of-day trailing: the floor rises with each day’s closing balance, never falls, and locks once it reaches the starting balance. Topstep ($2,000 at $50K), Apex Trader Funding ($2,000, enforced intraday on unrealized profit and loss), Tradeify Select ($2,000) and, among Also-checked firms, Lucid Trading, Alpha Futures and Blue Guardian all use an EOD-trailing floor.
- Intraday trailing: the floor moves with open, unrealized equity during the trading day, not just at the close, which makes it the hardest floor to manage mid-trade. MyFundedFutures’ Rapid sim-funded floor trails the intraday peak until it locks $100 above the starting balance, which is this post’s stated reason it stays cautionary. AquaFunded’s Instant Funding Pro and Take Profit Trader’s PRO account use the same intraday-trailing shape.
- Instant funded, no evaluation: AquaFunded’s Instant Funding Pro and FundingPips Zero skip the challenge entirely and fund the account on day one, trading the floor type above instead of a pass or fail stage.
Daily loss limits add a second, separate rule at several firms, and whether a breach pauses or ends the account is the detail a quick comparison misses. FTMO (5% of the initial balance), FundingPips 2 Step Pro (3% or 5%, chosen at purchase), FundedNext (5%) and Alpha Capital Group (3%) all treat a daily-loss breach as a hard failure that closes the account. Tradeify’s Select Daily funded product and Apex Trader Funding’s PA daily loss limit are explicitly soft breaches: trading pauses for the day and the account stays open. Topstep’s Combine and XFA carry no default daily loss at all; MyFundedFutures’ Rapid has none at either stage, relying on its trailing floor instead.
Consistency rules, where a firm has one, cap how much of your profit can come from a single day or trade before a payout. Apex Trader Funding requires no single day to exceed 50% of total profit since the last payout; Alpha Capital Group’s On-Demand payout needs a 40% Best Day rule; FundedNext’s On-Demand option needs 40% consistency plus 2% growth; FXIFY applies a 25% best-day rule on the funded stage only. FTMO’s 2-Step has no consistency rule at all. Time limits have mostly disappeared from the biggest firms’ flagship products. None of the nine ranked or cautionary firms’ flagship evaluations here carries a hard day-count deadline, though Tradeify’s evaluation still requires a 3-day minimum.
Ranked biggest prop firms
Ordered by each firm’s own headline payout figure. A live call-up, where a firm has one, is named as the first watch-out: a fact for traders to weigh, not a verdict.
Topstep is the biggest prop firm here by stated payouts, with a Live call-up you cannot refuse
Verdict: First. The largest firm-stated payout figure of any firm checked, and 14,878 Trustpilot reviews at 3.6.
Video: “How Topstep Trading Works: The Guide to Becoming a Funded Topstep Trader,” Topstep official YouTube channel, 2026-05-14. Source type: vendor-produced. Why selected: Topstep’s own path overview, from Combine to Express Funded to Live; no official video states its payout total.
On September 30, 2026 Topstep printed “$1.5B+ Paid out to traders” on its prop page and “$1.4B+” on its homepage, both footnoted “Total paid all time”, undated, no breakdown or verifier. Its 50K Combine is $49/month plus $149 activation, or $95/month without.
- Size, in its words: “$1.5B+ Paid out to traders” (prop page), “$1.4B+” (homepage); “750,000+ Topstep traders”.
- What it sells: 50K Trading Combine, $49/month plus $149 activation (or $95/month, no activation fee); a $2,000 EOD trailing floor, funded after 5 winning days of $150+.
- Daily loss rule: None on the Combine/XFA by default; an optional $1,000 DLL at $50K is a pause, not a failure. The Live Funded Account carries an automatic $2,000 daily loss at $50K.
- Platforms: TopstepX only (plus Quantower via TopstepX on the Combine and XFA).
- Choose it when: You want the biggest firm here by stated payouts.
- Watch out for: Topstep’s Risk Team decides who moves to Live; you cannot decline and keep the Express Funded Account. The starting Live balance is capped at your account size, with the rest held in Reserve. Topstep’s own statistic: 0.71% of Express Funded traders were called up in 2025.
- Recent change: A TopstepX outage on September 22, 2026 (8:34-9:27 a.m. CT) erased losses from the window and reactivated accounts the outage had closed on the max loss limit.
- Trustpilot and records: 3.6/5 on 14,878 reviews. Topstep profile, rules.
Apex Trader Funding is among the biggest prop firms by payouts, with a discretionary move to live
Verdict: Second. “875 M” in stated compensation since 2022, and 21,163 Trustpilot reviews at 4.2.
Video: “EOD Drawdown,” Apex Trader Funding official YouTube channel, 2026-03-01. Source type: vendor-produced. Why selected: Apex’s own EOD Drawdown explainer; the channel has no company-size or payout-milestone video.
Its homepage counter reads “875 M | Total Compensation to Customers Since 2022”; its own Trustpilot text still says “Over 500 Million paid out since 2022.” Its 50K EOD evaluation lists at $590 plus a $129 activation.
- Size, in its words: “875 M” Total Compensation to Customers Since 2022; its own Trustpilot text still says “Over 500 Million”.
- What it sells: 50K EOD Trail evaluation, $590 one-time plus $129 activation; a $2,000 EOD trailing floor enforced intraday.
- Daily loss rule: Evaluation: $1,000 at $50K ($1,500 at $100K). Funded (PA): a tier-based daily loss limit enforced intraday that pauses trading for the day only; the account stays active and does not close.
- Platforms: Tradovate (TradingView via Tradovate add-on, NinjaTrader), Rithmic (NinjaTrader, Sierra Chart, ATAS, Quantower, Bookmap) and WealthCharts.
- Choose it when: You want the biggest payout counter among futures firms.
- Watch out for: Apex may move a trader into live trading at any time, at its own discretion. Sim accounts close; a decliner is deactivated with a flat $3,000 final payment, and every other simulated balance is forfeited.
- Trustpilot and records: 4.2/5 on 21,163 reviews. Apex Trader Funding profile, rules.
FTMO is the biggest prop firm here with a static floor, best for forex and CFD traders
Verdict: Third. The biggest forex firm that passes, on a static floor, with 53,443 Trustpilot reviews at 4.8.
Video: “2025 at FTMO: Results Over Words | Yearly Recap,” FTMO official YouTube channel, 2025-12-31. Source type: vendor-produced. Why selected: FTMO’s own 2025 year recap; no official video states its payout total.
FTMO prints “$650M+ Paid in rewards” on its homepage and “paid out $650M+ to traders since 2015” on its futures page, undated, with no breakdown and no named verifier. It says “since 2015”; its contracting entity, FTMO Evaluation Global s.r.o., was registered on June 2, 2020, and the group’s first entity, FTMO s.r.o., on June 24, 2014.
- Size, in its words: “$650M+ Paid in rewards”, “4.5M+ Customers worldwide” (its About page calls the same 4.5M “Traders”), “140+ Countries served”.
- What it sells: FTMO Challenge 2-Step, €345 one-time at $50K, refunded with the first reward; a static 10% floor and a 5% daily loss that ends the account. US residents buy through FTMO US ($399 at $50K).
- Daily loss rule: 5% of the initial balance ($2,500 at $50K), measured on equity including floating profit and loss from the midnight CE(S)T balance; a breach ends the account.
- Platforms: MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5, cTrader and TradingView (via the OANDA broker panel, added August 26, 2026).
- Choose it when: You want a static floor and no live call-up.
- Watch out for: T&C 7.6.6 lets FTMO set a risk-per-trade-idea cap by email after you pass; the value is unpublished, and dated reviews describe it enforced at payout.
- Recent change: FTMO wound down its sister program, OANDA Prop Trader, by March 31, 2026 after FTMO’s OANDA acquisition, and added a 0.7% currency-conversion adjustment on realised profit and loss to its terms on July 28, 2026.
- Trustpilot and records: 4.8/5 on 53,443 reviews. FTMO profile, payouts.
Tradeify is among the biggest prop firms on payouts, with a mandatory Elite move
Verdict: Fourth. “$350M+ Verified Payouts” claimed, with 4,906 Trustpilot reviews at 4.4.
Video: “$200,000,000 in Payouts. THANK YOU!,” Tradeify official YouTube channel, 2026-05-22. Source type: vendor-produced. Why selected: Tradeify’s own payout-milestone video, dated at $200,000,000; the firm’s current claim is undated and higher.
Its homepage says “$350M+ Verified Payouts”, no verifier named; a May 2026 firm video marked $200,000,000. Its homepage badge shows 4.8, the live profile 4.4 from 4,906 reviews. Select 50K is $165.
- Size, in its words: “$350M+ Verified Payouts”, no verifier named; a May 2026 video marked $200,000,000.
- What it sells: Select 50K, $165 one-time; a $2,000 EOD trailing floor, funded every 5 winning days (Flex).
- Daily loss rule: None on evaluation or Select Flex funded. Select Daily funded carries a $1,000 soft breach at $50K that pauses trading for the day and does not fail the account.
- Platforms: Tradovate (with NinjaTrader and TradingView via Tradovate), Rithmic (Tradesea, Quantower, Sierra Chart, R|Trader) and WealthCharts.
- Choose it when: You want the cheapest big futures evaluation here.
- Watch out for: Once selected for Elite Live, Tradeify says “it is mandatory” and “you cannot decline”; sim accounts close, unpaid sim profit does not carry over, and the Elite account starts at $0. Tradeify’s own statistic: 3.0% of funded traders were called up from August 2025 to July 2026.
- Recent change: On September 15, 2026 Tradeify refunded traders hit by a regional rule change made after purchase, and the firm separately acknowledged an unusually high support-ticket backlog the same week.
- Trustpilot and records: 4.4/5 on 4,906 reviews. Tradeify profile, rules.
FundingPips is among the biggest prop firms by reviews, with a Prime invite deemed accepted
Verdict: Fifth. 69,481 Trustpilot reviews at 4.5, among the most of any firm checked.
Video: “3 FundingPips Traders, $403,000 in Rewards,” FundingPips official YouTube channel, 2026-09-16. Source type: vendor-produced. Why selected: FundingPips’ own payout-milestone video naming three traders’ rewards; a firm claim, not evidence of its total.
Its rewards page carries a per-year ledger worded “paid to traders”: $98,987,276 in 2025, $84,482,738 in 2024. Its homepage counter reads “$314M+ Total Rewards”, quoted as rewards. 2 Step Pro 50K is $249.
- Size, in its words: $98,987,276 in 2025 and $84,482,738 in 2024 (per-year ledger, worded “paid”); homepage “$314M+ Total Rewards” (quoted as rewards, not counted).
- What it sells: 2 Step Pro 50K, $249 one-time; a static 6% floor and a 3% daily loss that ends the account.
- Daily loss rule: 2 Step Pro: 3% chosen at purchase (Standard offers 3% or 5%), measured from the higher of opening balance or equity; a hard breach closes the account immediately, with no grace period.
- Platforms: MetaTrader 5, Match-Trader and cTrader (+$20.00 add-on).
- Choose it when: You want FundingPips’ heavy review volume.
- Watch out for: FundingPips invites Prime by trading performance alone; the terms deem that invite automatically accepted, a decliner’s accounts can be terminated, and profit moved into Prime is “not a requestable balance.”
- Recent change: Prime became invite-only and mandatory on May 15, 2026 (declining can end every account), and FundingPips separately moved to a new rule set for purchases and resets from September 28, 2026, with older terms kept in a legacy article for existing buyers only.
- Trustpilot and records: 4.5/5 on 69,481 reviews. FundingPips profile, rules.
FundedNext is the biggest prop firm by reviews, with a dated payout report
Verdict: Sixth. The most Trustpilot reviews of any firm checked, 80,482 at 4.5, and the only dated payout report among the biggest.
Video: “The Ultimate No Time Limit Challenge: FundedNext Stellar Model Explained | Prop Trading Guides,” FundedNext official YouTube channel, 2023-11-25. Source type: vendor-produced. Why selected: FundedNext’s own explainer of the Stellar model ranked here, from 2023; no official video covers its payout total.
Its February 2026 report, published March 11, 2026, says FundedNext “has processed 205,380 payout transactions totaling $271.4M+ in net disbursements.” The homepage counter reads “$387.5M+ TOTAL REWARDED”, undated, worded rewarded, so we quote it and do not count it. Its about-us page says “We are authorized and regulated” and, when we read it, showed “License No. 700XXX” for VFSC and “12XXXX” for a DED licence: placeholder numbers as rendered. Its footer says it “is not a broker”.
- Size, in its words: $271.4M+ net disbursements to February 2026; “601.4K+ FundedNext Accounts”; “4M+ Traders connected” across its group.
- What it sells: Stellar 2-Step CFD, $299.99 one-time at $50K; a static 10% floor and a 5% daily loss that ends the account, the standard forex 2-step shape.
- Daily loss rule: 5% of the initial balance ($2,500 at $50K), on equity including floating losses; a breach ends the account.
- Platforms: MT4, MT5, cTrader (+$25 add-on) and Match-Trader (+$25, free and US-only for US clients).
- Choose it when: You want the largest review base and a payout figure with a date on it.
- Watch out for: Payouts pass a compliance review, and 7 dated reviews from September 2026 describe terminations at payout for copy trading or hedging. FundedNext Futures is a separate listing under the same brand name; this post did not research it.
- Trustpilot and records: 4.5/5 on 80,482 reviews. FundedNext profile, rules.
Alpha Capital Group is among the biggest prop firms on reviews, with a hidden rating
Verdict: Seventh. It clears the bar on 21,792 Trustpilot reviews, but Trustpilot hides its rating.
Video: “Alpha Capital’s $100M in Payouts: Scaling Across Futures and Prime,” Alpha Capital Group official YouTube channel, 2025-06-12. Source type: vendor-produced. Why selected: Alpha Capital’s own payout-milestone video from June 2025; the $100M in its title is the firm’s claim and may be group-wide.
Its homepage says “$100M+ Performance Fees”, undated and not worded as paid, so we do not count it. Its only paid-worded figure is on its About timeline: “70,000,000 in performance fees were paid out” by October 2024. Its UK company was incorporated on November 2, 2021, matching its own launch date.
- Size, in its words: “$100M+ Performance Fees” (not counted); $70M paid by October 2024; “1.2 Million+ traders”.
- What it sells: Alpha Pro 6% 2-step, $217 one-time at $50K; a static 6% floor and a 3% daily loss that ends the account.
- Daily loss rule: 3% ($1,500 at $50K), calculated over the highest end-of-day balance or equity, whichever is greater; a breach ends the account.
- Platforms: MetaTrader 5, cTrader, DX Trade and TradeLocker.
- Choose it when: You want a big, UK-registered forex firm with a cheap static-floor 2-step.
- Watch out for: Alpha Prime comes first. Big earners are moved to live accounts; a trader who declines “will receive their final payout” and must leave every Alpha Group brand, so it is effectively mandatory, and the firm does not publish what happens to the balance on acceptance.
- Trustpilot and records: rating hidden (“breach of our guidelines” banner), 21,792 reviews. Alpha Capital Group profile, payouts.
Cautionary, big prop firms that miss our ranked list
Each firm here has its own reason: a funded floor moving against the trader intraday, or a conflict in a firm’s own published numbers.
MyFundedFutures is among the biggest prop firms with a 4.9 rating, and a funded floor that trails the peak
Verdict: Cautionary for its Rapid funded floor.
The Rapid 50K sim-funded floor trails the intraday equity peak, open gains included, until it locks at $100 above the starting balance. Its homepage says “$250M+ Paid to traders”, undated. Its help centre: “rejecting the move to a Live Funded Account is not possible,” and its Pro plan page names the live broker, “Blue Row Capital”; its disclaimer says 4.2% of sim-funded traders were promoted. Rapid 50K is $209 one-time.
- Daily loss rule: None at evaluation or sim funded: the plan page FAQ states Rapid has no daily loss limit at either stage, so the funded floor (not a daily limit) is the operative risk rule.
