Best Trade Copiers for Prop Firms, Graded Against Each Firm’s Own Rules

We graded 4 trade-copier tools and 17 prop firms separately, then cross-referenced each tool against what the firm’s own terms actually allow, not a vendor’s self-reported “supported firms” list.

Looking for prop firms that allow copy trading? Across the 21 trade-copier tools and prop firms we checked firm-by-firm, 14 of 17 prop firms let you run a copier across your own accounts all the way through the funded, payout-eligible stage, but 3 need a second look, including Take Profit Trader, the one firm that publishes a named list of approved copier software, because its payout-stage account still trails your floating profits in a way that can wipe out a day’s gains before you ever close a trade. Of the 4 standalone copier tools we priced and stress-tested against Trustpilot, 3 (Tradesyncer, Tradecopia and Replikanto, in its Compliance Edition) are named on a firm’s own approved-vendor list; TradeDupe is not; E8 Markets allows own-account copying with no combined-capital cap and no live stage to lose it at, FundingPips is the only firm allowing outbound-master copying to an external account, and Topstep bundles a free, built-in copier across up to 5 funded accounts. The other 10-plus “integration partner” lists you’ll see on vendor homepages are commercial deals, not permission.

Quick picks for trade copiers at prop firms

  • Best overall tool: Tradecopia. Named on Take Profit Trader’s own approved-copier list, 10 platforms, 4.8/5 on 350 reviews.
  • Best cloud-only tool: Tradesyncer. No VPS or desktop install, also approved-listed by Take Profit Trader.
  • Best firm-named approval: Replikanto. Named individually by brand (Compliance Edition only), not lumped into a generic category.
  • Cheapest tool: TradeDupe. $20/mo, Tradovate-only, not named as approved by any researched firm.
  • Best firm for unlimited own-account scaling: E8 Markets. No combined-capital cap, no live stage to lose the permission at.
  • Best firm for outbound copying: FundingPips. The only firm here allowing a funded account to act as master to an external slave.
  • Best free, built-in copier: Topstep. $0 extra, up to 5 funded accounts, switched off only on Live Funded Account.

Why a vendor’s own “we integrate with this firm” claim misleads: every tool in this post names prop firms it partners or offers discounts with, and that is a commercial claim, never the firm’s own permission. Tradecopia’s FAQ states plainly, “it does not enforce or validate prop-firm-specific rules…staying within your firm’s rules is your responsibility.” TradeDupe’s Terms go further: “nothing on this platform, including marketing pages, comparison pages, or feature descriptions that reference a specific firm, constitutes a representation that copy trading is permitted by that firm.” Only a firm’s own help centre, FAQ or terms decide whether a copier survives on its accounts, which is why this guide grades the tools and the firms separately before pairing them.

How we ranked trade copiers for prop firms

Five-step process behind our ranking of the best trade copiers for prop firms, built from each firm's own rule pages and dated checks
The five checks behind every ranking in the Prop Trader’s Guide.
21
Tools and firms checked
14
Firms ranked, copying survives to the funded stage
3
Firms to check twice for another serious finding
3
Tools named on a firm’s own approved list
  1. Sources: each tool’s own pricing/FAQ pages and each firm’s help centre, FAQ, prohibited-strategies page and terms, read October 2, 2026; never a vendor’s “supported firms” list as evidence of a firm’s permission.
  2. Per product: a firm’s rule is graded on the specific product this guide ranks, evaluation through funded through any live stage, not the brand as a whole.
  3. Rank test (tools): is it a real, currently-purchasable product with a verifiable price, platform list and, where one exists, a firm’s own named approval.
  4. Rank test (firms): does the firm’s own live terms allow copying on the trader’s own accounts, published before purchase, surviving as far as possible toward the funded or payout stage, with no other serious finding (an intraday-trailing funded floor, an undisclosed detection pattern with 5 or more dated cases, a firm-acknowledged unresolved payout queue).
  5. Order: firms are ordered by how far the copying permission survives (evaluation-only, through funded, through live) and rule clarity, then Trustpilot trust signal and fewest open watch-outs.

A discretionary live call-up is a fact to weigh, not a reason to rank a firm lower: Tradeify, Topstep and Apex Trader Funding all carry one and all rank here. No firm paid for placement.

What a trade copier is and how it works

A trade-copier tool next to a prop firm's own rulebook with a magnifying glass between them, showing that a vendor's supported-firms list is not the firm's own permission
A vendor’s own copier tool next to a prop firm’s own rulebook: only the firm’s terms decide whether copying survives, not a vendor’s supported-firms list.

A trade copier mirrors trades from one account (the leader or master) onto one or more other accounts (the followers or slaves) in real time, usually matching the leader’s direction and scaling position size with a per-account multiplier. At a prop firm, the question is never just “does the software work”; it is whether the firm’s own terms let you run it on accounts tied to its evaluation or funded program at all, and whether that permission survives once the account starts paying out. Every tool in this post works mechanically; the firm’s own rules are what actually decide whether you keep the account.

  • Leader/master account: the account whose trades are copied outward; some firms (FundingPips, City Traders Imperium) allow a funded account to act ONLY as a leader, never a follower.
  • Follower/slave account: the account receiving copied trades; most firms require every follower to belong to the same owner as the leader.
  • Position sizing: a multiplier (0.5x, 1.3x, 2.5x) scales the leader’s size up or down per follower; Tradecopia and Tradesyncer both round to the next whole contract and can force followers onto micro contracts.
  • Risk controls layered on top: daily/weekly loss and profit limits, a position reconciler that auto-closes any non-leader-originated position, and a flatten-all button, all separate from the firm’s own account rules.

Multi-account and cross-broker copying

Running one strategy across several accounts simultaneously is the use case every copier vendor markets, and it is also where a prop firm’s own combined-capital cap or direction rule bites hardest. FundedNext caps combined copying at $300,000 and ends the permission entirely once an account becomes funded. FTMO and Hantec Trader both cap at $400,000 but let the permission continue through the funded stage, and FTMO has no separate live-money stage to lose it at. Apex Trader Funding and Tradeify both require strict same-direction copying across accounts, since an opposite position on a connected account can read as hedging or group trading independent of the copying rule itself. E8 Markets is the only firm with no published combined-capital cap at all, and FundingPips is the only firm allowing outbound-master copying to an account outside the firm entirely.

Trade copier tools, ranked

All 4 tools here are real, currently-purchasable products. Ranked by platform breadth, deployment simplicity, published risk-management depth, price-to-tier value, independently verified Trustpilot score and volume, and, the strongest signal, whether a firm’s own page names the tool on an approved-copier list.

Tradecopia is named on Take Profit Trader’s own approved-copier list, with the deepest risk toolkit of the four

Verdict: Best for futures prop traders who need the deepest risk-management toolkit across the broadest platform list, and one of three tools named on a firm’s own approved-vendor page.

Video: No official Tradecopia-owned YouTube channel was found; every video surfaced is a third-party creator/affiliate channel carrying a discount code, which this guide’s video standard excludes.

Tradecopia is named on Take Profit Trader’s own approved-copier list alongside Tradesyncer and Replikanto (Compliance Edition only). Ten platforms/brokers are supported, the broadest list of the four tools here, including Tradesea and TopstepX. Three deployment tiers run desktop ($34.99/mo promo, $49.99 list), a shared web/VPS tier ($59.99/mo promo, $79.99 list), and a dedicated VPS tier ($119.99/mo promo, $149.99 list); the Pro+ tier’s FAQ cites a different first-month discount figure (30% off) than its own pricing card (20% off), unreconciled on the vendor’s own site. Risk tools include per-account multipliers with contract rounding, daily/weekly loss and profit limits, a Position Reconciler enabled by default on every copy group that auto-closes any non-leader-originated position, a Flatten Group button, and a Prop Firm Consistency Calculator with presets for Apex, Topstep, Take Profit Trader and Tradeify.

  • Deployment: Desktop app, shared web/VPS, or a dedicated single-tenant VPS.
  • Price: Desktop $34.99/mo ($49.99 list); Web/VPS Lite $59.99/mo ($79.99 list); dedicated VPS $119.99/mo ($149.99 list). 7-day free trial on the first two tiers; no trial on the dedicated-VPS tier.
  • Platforms/brokers: Tradovate, TradingView, ProjectX, TopstepX, Rithmic, NinjaTrader, Quantower, ATAS, Sierra Chart, Tradesea.
  • Named firm approval: Take Profit Trader names Tradecopia on its own approved-copier list by brand.
  • Choose it when: You need per-account risk multipliers, a built-in position reconciler and a prop-firm consistency calculator across multiple funded futures accounts on the supported platform list.
  • Watch out for: “All purchases are final and non-refundable, including charges after the free trial ends”: even a trial that converts to a paid charge cannot be refunded except through a discretionary one-time courtesy refund with a processing fee; its 12-firm “deals” partner list is a discount affiliation, never a permission guarantee (the tool’s own FAQ: “it does not enforce or validate prop-firm-specific rules…staying within your firm’s rules is your responsibility”).
  • Trustpilot: 4.8/5 on 350 reviews, independently verified October 2, 2026, matching the vendor’s own on-page claim.

Tradesyncer runs entirely in the cloud with no VPS or desktop install, and the largest review sample among the tools

Verdict: Best for a cloud-native copier with no VPS or desktop install required, and the largest real-world Trustpilot sample of the four tools.

Video: “Meet Tradesyncer: The #1 Futures Copy Trading Platform,” Tradesyncer official YouTube channel, 2026-03-12. Source type: vendor-produced. Why selected: Official Tradesyncer-owned channel, a short general product overview; the channel’s other uploads are narrower setup tutorials, so this is the best single intro video, though not a dedicated prop-firm-rules explainer.

Tradesyncer is also named on Take Profit Trader’s own approved-copier list. A single cloud deployment model needs no VPS or desktop install: “Tradesyncer runs in the cloud 24/7, so copying can continue when your computer is off.” Nine platforms/brokers are supported (Tradovate, NinjaTrader, Rithmic, TradingView via Tradovate, dxFeed, Sierra Chart, ATAS, Quantower, ProjectX). Pricing is per connection (login), not per firm: Basic $49/mo (2 connections/10 accounts), Pro $99/mo (4/20), Flex $149/mo (unlimited/120). Twelve prop firms get a dedicated integration landing page (Apex, Topstep, MyFundedFutures, Tradeify, Take Profit Trader, Lucid Trading, FundedNext, Alpha Futures, Top One Futures, TradeDay, Bulenox, AquaFunded); the site claims 50+ firms total but only these 12 are individually named. Every per-firm page uses hedged language (“copy where firm rules and your data feed allow”) rather than an unconditional permission claim, though the pricing FAQ separately makes a stronger, unqualified claim (“allowed by all major firms”) that the per-firm pages themselves do not repeat.

  • Deployment: Cloud-based only; no VPS or desktop install.
  • Price: Basic $49/mo (2 connections/10 accounts); Pro $99/mo (4/20); Flex $149/mo (unlimited/120 accounts). 7-day free trial, card required.
  • Platforms/brokers: Tradovate, NinjaTrader, Rithmic, TradingView (via Tradovate), dxFeed, Sierra Chart, ATAS, Quantower, ProjectX.
  • Named firm approval: Take Profit Trader names Tradesyncer on its own approved-copier list; 12 firms have a dedicated Tradesyncer integration page.
  • Choose it when: A futures trader on Tradovate, NinjaTrader or Rithmic-connected prop accounts wants a single cloud dashboard for copying, journaling and risk lockouts without running a VPS.
  • Watch out for: Basic’s 2 connections/10 accounts can run out fast for a trader spread across more than 2 broker logins, forcing an upgrade; no refund policy is published anywhere on the pricing page, only a no-auto-renew cancellation clause.
  • Trustpilot: 4.4/5 on 650 reviews, independently verified October 2, 2026 (the vendor’s own on-page badge claims a lagging 4.3/620).

Replikanto’s Compliance Edition is named by brand on a prop firm’s own approved list, not lumped into “platform-native”

Verdict: Best for a trader who needs a firm-approved copier by individual name, not just a platform-native catch-all, and the strongest single tool-to-firm permission pairing found in this research.

Video: “Replikanto – 30 accounts Trade Copier Stress Test,” Replikanto official YouTube channel, 2021-09-27. Source type: vendor-produced. Why selected: Only the firm’s own YouTube channel qualifies; this is the channel’s newest substantive product demo (a 1-leader/29-follower stress test). Every higher-view video found is a third-party affiliate channel and is excluded under this guide’s video standard.

Take Profit Trader names “Replikanto Flowbot, Compliance Edition only” individually on its approved-copier list, not lumped into a generic “platform-native” category the way Tradovate or NinjaTrader tools are. The product’s real storefront is flowbots.ninja, not replikanto.com (that domain is a bare NinjaTrader echo-test utility page with no pricing or cart). Support is NinjaTrader 8 only, the narrowest platform list of the four tools, plus whatever brokers NinjaTrader itself connects to (Rithmic, Tradovate, Interactive Brokers). Each machine needs its own NinjaTrader 8 install and its own Replikanto license; remote/internet copying additionally consumes paid “Submit credits” ($15 for 100 up to $5,000 for 1,000,000). Pricing runs one-time: $249 single-machine/1-year up to $499 2-machine/lifetime, plus an optional $39/year support-and-updates renewal after year one. Only the separate, download-gated Compliance Mode build (no internet/network copying, no negative-ratio hedging, no Stealth Mode) is the version any firm actually approves.

  • Deployment: Local desktop add-on, local-network node, or a remote/internet node (e.g. a VPS), each needing its own NinjaTrader 8 install and license.
  • Price: $249 single-machine/1-year up to $499 2-machine/lifetime, plus an optional $39/year support renewal after year one. 7-day free trial.
  • Platforms/brokers: NinjaTrader 8 only (plus Rithmic, Tradovate, Interactive Brokers and other NinjaTrader-connected brokers).
  • Named firm approval: Take Profit Trader names “Replikanto Flowbot, Compliance Edition only” individually by brand, not as a generic platform-native tool.
  • Choose it when: You trade exclusively on NinjaTrader 8, need a copier explicitly named on a firm’s approved-vendor list, and are willing to run the feature-reduced Compliance build to stay inside those terms.
  • Watch out for: Only the Compliance Mode build is approved by firms that name Replikanto at all, and firms can demand version or configuration verification at any time; the “lifetime” license wording has drawn repeated 1-star complaints because only the software itself is perpetual, updates and support lapse after one year without the $39/year renewal.
  • Trustpilot: 4.7/5 on 126 reviews (FlowBots, the parent company), independently verified October 2, 2026.

TradeDupe is the cheapest of the four tools and publishes dated reliability metrics, but is Tradovate-only

Verdict: Best for the lowest sticker price and the most transparently published performance metrics, for Tradovate-only traders, though it is not named as approved on any researched firm’s own page.

Video: No official TradeDupe YouTube channel has a populated videos tab; every search hit is a third-party trader channel discussing copy trading generally or rival tools, not TradeDupe’s own content.

TradeDupe is Tradovate-only, confirmed explicitly on the vendor’s own comparison pages against Tradesyncer and Tradecopia (“TradeDupe does not support NinjaTrader, Rithmic, ProjectX, MT4/MT5 or cTrader”). It is not named as approved on any firm’s own page researched for this post; its homepage names six firms (Apex, Tradeify, MyFundedFutures, Lucid Trading, Take Profit Trader, Alpha Futures) as compatible, stated as illustrative, not exhaustive, and its own Terms and Conditions explicitly disclaim verifying any firm’s rules. Pricing is the cheapest of the four: Standard $20/mo ($240/yr), Pro $45/mo ($540/yr), Elite $90/mo ($1,080/yr), OAuth-only authorization with no password storage. It is the only tool of the four publishing a full, dated performance scorecard: under-100ms median latency, 99.92% copy success rate, 99.98% automation uptime, though the figures are dated to a 30-day window ending March 3, 2026, roughly seven months stale against this post’s freshness date.

  • Deployment: Cloud/server-side only; OAuth sign-in to Tradovate, no password storage.
  • Price: Standard $20/mo ($240/yr); Pro $45/mo ($540/yr); Elite $90/mo ($1,080/yr). 7-day free trial, $0 due today.
  • Platforms/brokers: Tradovate only.
  • Named firm approval: Not named as approved on any researched firm’s own page; names six Tradovate-powered firms on its own homepage as compatible, stated as illustrative, not exhaustive.
  • Choose it when: Every copied account runs on a Tradovate-backed prop firm and you want OAuth-only authorization with no password sharing, no desktop app to keep open, at a lower headline price than Tradesyncer or Tradecopia’s hosted tiers.
  • Watch out for: A strict 24-hour-only refund window: a dated 2026-07 Trustpilot case shows the company admitting a rogue-fill bug blew 8 of a user’s linked accounts, yet it declined any refund, offering only 3 months free credit instead.
  • Trustpilot: 4.2/5 on 19 reviews, independently verified October 2, 2026, the thinnest sample of the four tools.

Risk management features that matter

Beyond the copying mechanic itself, the risk tools built into each product are what keep a desync or a bad fill from blowing every connected account at once. Tradecopia’s Position Reconciler is enabled by default on every copy group and auto-closes any position that did not originate from the leader; its Flatten Group button closes every open position and cancels every working order across the whole group in one click. Tradesyncer enforces daily loss limits and profit targets in the cloud rather than locally, so they keep running even if your own device goes offline. Replikanto’s Follower Guard disarms and flattens a follower the moment it falls out of sync with the leader or ends up in the opposite direction, checking the position with the broker first on Rithmic accounts. TradeDupe’s rogue-trade protection flattens unauthorized follower fills to restore alignment, though its own Terms caution that any loss-limit feature “operates on a best-effort basis… and may fail to trigger or may trigger late,” not a substitute for the firm’s own broker-side controls.

Execution speed and reliability

Published latency claims are vendor-stated and undated in most cases: Tradecopia mak
