No prop firm we checked has no country restrictions. We counted every barred country for 41 prop firm listings, product by product and all the way to the first payout, against a fixed list of 197 states. The fewest on a closed list: SFX Funded (2-Step Challenge, 5 countries, residence only), BrightFunded (2-Step Classic on DXtrade, 6) and City Traders Imperium (1-Step on Match-Trader, 10). FundingPips names only 3 but points at sanctions lists it never prints, Crypto Fund Trader’s “no country restrictions” line is contradicted by its own terms, and Lark Funding’s five-country list becomes 22 once its only payout rail is counted. Futures firms bar far more: a median of 74 against 15 for forex.

Freshness: country lists and prices checked October 7, 2026; each list’s own date and each Trustpilot read date are shown where they differ. Firms change these lists without notice, so re-check before you buy.

Quick picks among prop firms with the fewest country restrictions

  • Shortest closed list: SFX Funded 2-Step Challenge, 5 countries, residence only, $62.29 per $1,000 of loss room.
  • Short list, US welcome on one platform: BrightFunded 2-Step Classic on DXtrade, 6 countries; MT5 and cTrader add the US.
  • Cheapest room on a short list: Blue Guardian 2 Step Nano, at least 13 countries, $25.40 per $1,000 (fee-only).
  • Shortest futures list: Earn2Trade, 24 citizenships, but the bar bites at funding.

Shortest list and fewest restrictions turned out to be different firms. The smallest named counts belong to FundingPips (3) and Fundora (5), but both leave their lists open to sanctions or internal policy, so they sit in their own group below rather than at the top.

Is there a prop firm with no country restrictions at all?

No, and the one firm that says so in writing is the clearest example of why the claim needs checking. Crypto Fund Trader’s FAQ says “Match-Trader: There are currently no country restrictions for traders using Match-Trader.” Its terms, clause 7.1, list as a prohibited action that “The use of the platforms as well as resets or migrations in MT5 to all new users belonging to the United States is restricted”. On the firm’s own country page the count is 0; on its terms it is at least 1.

Every other listing names at least 3 states. The floor almost nobody gets under is the FATF call-for-action list of June 19, 2026 (North Korea, Iran and Myanmar): North Korea is barred by 38 of the 41 listings, Iran by 38 and Myanmar by 31. Firms’ own headline claims run the other way. SFX Funded advertises “130+” countries served, BrightFunded “155+”, City Traders Imperium “178+” and FundingPips “195+”; the counts below are what their own lists leave once the bars are added up.

Fewest on a closed list
  1. Sources: each firm’s help centre, terms, footer, checkout country list and payout pages, read October 7, 2026; never a review site’s list.
  2. What counts: every state whose residents, citizens or visitors cannot buy the product, trade it, be funded on it or be paid from it, up to the first payout. A list that applies to one platform counts only on that platform.
  3. Reference set: the 193 UN member states plus the Holy See, Palestine, Kosovo and Taiwan, 197 in all. Regions (Crimea, Quebec, US states) and territories (Puerto Rico, Hong Kong, Gibraltar) are shown but never counted.
  4. Later bars: a list that bites at funding or payout counts; so does a payout provider’s list when the firm makes that provider the only route and tells you to check it covers your country. A list that applies only to a discretionary live account does not count.
  5. Order: fewest countries first; a closed list ranks ahead of one worded “include” at the same count; then cost per $1,000 of loss room at $50K: list price plus any activation fee, divided by the overall loss limit. One product per firm; forex, futures and crypto arms are separate listings.

The formula. Cost per $1,000 of loss room = (list price + activation fee) ÷ overall max-loss floor × 1,000. Example: SFX Funded’s $299 2-Step against a $4,800 floor is $62.29. Monthly products use one month. Where no activation fee is published we do not assume zero and mark the figure fee-only. Euro prices convert at the ECB reference rate of October 2, 2026 (EUR/USD 1.1225); your card or bank rate will differ.

Firms whose clauses point at lists they never print (sanctions, partners, government designations) cannot be counted to a single number, so they are shown in their own group with the named count and, where the clause names FATF, the count once both FATF lists of June 19, 2026 are added. A live call-up is a warning in each entry, never a reason to move a firm. The country lookup the other way round, from your country to the firms that bar it, is our restricted countries directory.

Ranked prop firms with the fewest country restrictions

27 listings, in table order. Each entry names the product, because at most firms the platform or programme you pick changes the count.

Prop firms with no country restrictions are rare: a world map with Cuba, Iran, Syria, North Korea and Myanmar shaded beside a card for countries barred and first payout
Iran, North Korea, Syria, Cuba and Myanmar are among the states most firms bar; the count to the first payout differs product by product.

SFX Funded bars five countries, all on residence, the shortest closed list we found

The whole policy fits in one sentence on SFX Funded’s help centre: “Clients of any nationality are welcome to join, except those residing in Syria, North Korea, Cuba, Iran & Myanmar”. The terms list four of those five (Myanmar is the extra one on the help page), so we count the union, 5. Because the test is where you live, a Syrian or Iranian national resident in, say, Germany is not barred by these pages, which is rarer than it sounds: most firms in this count also test nationality.

Only 2 of the five sit outside the FATF call-for-action list (Syria and Cuba). Nothing else bites later: we found no product carve-out, no funded-stage country list and no payout-rail condition, and payouts go by bank wire or USDT. The ranked product is the 2-Step Challenge at $60K, the size closest to $50K that SFX sells, at $299 one-time with an 8% static floor of $4,800, or $62.29 per $1,000 of loss room.

  • Countries barred: 5 of 197 (2 beyond the FATF call-for-action list)
  • Who it applies to: Residence (any nationality welcome)
  • US residents: Open
  • Price: $299 one-time at $60K, refundable, no activation fee; a site banner showed $149 with code LEVELUP (“Save 50 %”), no end date shown; $62.29 per $1,000 of loss room
  • Watch out for: The terms ask you to access the service only from countries where it is available, and payouts are at the firm’s discretion under its terms; a 4% daily loss ends the 2-Step.
  • Trustpilot: rating hidden behind Trustpilot’s “breach of our guidelines” banner, 134 reviews (read October 3, 2026)

BrightFunded bars six countries, but nationality and location count too

BrightFunded’s list is short (Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, Vietnam and Pakistan) and its reach is wide: the help centre bars anyone “residing in or holding nationality from”, and the terms add “residents, citizens, or persons located in”. A Vietnamese citizen living in Australia is therefore refused, which would not happen at SFX Funded. Pakistan has one carve-out: “Traders from Pakistan who already have an active account may continue trading.”

Video: “Modern Prop Firm Challenges Explained, Rules, Targets, and What to Expect,” BrightFunded official YouTube channel, April 29, 2026. Source type: vendor-produced. Why selected: the firm’s own rules explainer; no official video covers its country list.

Platform choice moves the count. DXtrade carries the brand list only (6); cTrader adds the United States (7) and MT5 adds the United States and the UAE (8), so US residents have one route, DXtrade. The 2-Step Classic lists at EUR 297, about $333.38 at the ECB reference rate of October 2, 2026, against a $5,000 static floor: $66.68 per $1,000. The 1-Step shares the count but its floor trails intraday, so it is not the product we rank.

  • Countries barred: 6 of 197 (4 beyond the FATF call-for-action list)
  • Who it applies to: Residence, nationality or location
  • US residents: Open on DXtrade; not MT5 or cTrader
  • Price: EUR 297 (about $333.38) one-time, no activation step; the card showed EUR 252.45 at “-15% Off” with no code or end date; $66.68 per $1,000 of loss room
  • Watch out for: Picking MT5 or cTrader adds the US (and the UAE on MT5) to the count; a 5% daily loss ends the account.
  • Trustpilot: rating hidden behind Trustpilot’s “breach of our guidelines” banner, 574 reviews (read October 6, 2026)

City Traders Imperium keeps ten countries off every programme and adds Vietnam to two

CTI is the only firm here that publishes a programme-by-programme table, which is why its count differs by product. Its help centre says CTI does “not allow registrations for residents or nationals of the following countries”: ten states (Cuba, Iran, Libya, Sudan, Syria, Yemen, Venezuela, North Korea, Russia and Belarus) plus five Ukrainian regions we do not count. The 2-Step Challenge and Instant Funding Pro add Vietnam (11), and MT5 is labelled for non-USA traders only, so the cleanest route is the 1-Step on Match-Trader at 10.

Travel is allowed with paperwork: “You must email CTI about your travel for validation”, with dates and proof of a flight or accommodation. Registering from a listed country is stated bluntly: “Your account will be closed and no refund will be issued if you register from a restricted country.” The 1-Step lists at $299 one-time against a $2,500 floor that trails the closed balance; no activation fee is printed on the card, so the $119.60 per $1,000 is the fee-only figure.

  • Countries barred: 10 of 197 (8 beyond the FATF call-for-action list)
  • Who it applies to: Residence or nationality
  • US residents: Open on Match-Trader; not MT5
  • Price: $299 one-time at $50K; no activation line on the card (cost shown as fee-only); no promo on the card when we checked; $119.60 per $1,000 of loss room (fee-only)
  • Watch out for: Nationality counts as well as residence, so a Russian, Belarusian or Venezuelan national living elsewhere is still refused.
  • Trustpilot: 4.2/5 on 1,629 reviews (read October 6, 2026)

Blue Guardian names 13 countries but calls the list a minimum

Blue Guardian’s forex arm publishes one sentence and a list: “Restricted countries from using are services include:” Afghanistan, Albania, Algeria, Cuba, Iran, Jordan, Libya, Myanmar, North Korea, the Philippines, Senegal, Syria and Vietnam. “Include” makes 13 a floor, not a ceiling, so the row shows it as at least 13, and the page never says whether it tests residence, nationality or the country on your ID. Albania, Jordan, Senegal and the Philippines are names most firms in this count leave open.

Video: “Which Blue Guardian Account is Best? (All Rules explained),” Blue Guardian official YouTube channel, May 7, 2026. Source type: vendor-produced. Why selected: the firm’s own rules explainer; no official video covers its country list.

What the list costs you is unusually little: the 2 Step Nano lists at $127 with a $5,000 static floor, $25.40 per $1,000, the lowest ratio among ranked products, though no activation fee is printed so the figure is fee-only. Blue Guardian Futures is a separate listing with its own list and is not part of this count.

  • Countries barred: at least 13 of 197 (10 beyond the FATF call-for-action list)
  • Who it applies to: Not published
  • US residents: Open
  • Price: $127 one-time at $50K; no activation fee printed (fee-only); code BG25 showed $95, no end date; $25.40 per $1,000 of loss room (fee-only)
  • Watch out for: A 3% daily loss ends a 2 Step Nano account, and identity checks before the first payout follow each country’s document list.
  • Trustpilot: rating hidden behind Trustpilot’s “breach of our guidelines” banner, 2,098 reviews (read October 6, 2026)

For Traders bars 15 countries by nationality, location or residence

For Traders defines its “Prohibited Jurisdictions” in clause 1.1.18 of its terms and repeats the same list in the site footer: Pakistan, Iran, Syria, Myanmar, Bangladesh, Vietnam, North Korea, Russia, Belarus, Cuba, Lebanon, Libya, Sudan, South Sudan and the UAE, plus three Ukrainian regions. Its help article (dated June 1, 2026) and the sign-up country list both leave out Vietnam and South Sudan, but the terms still bar them, so we count the terms: 15.

Clause 4.5 covers a client “being of nationality, located or residing in any of the Prohibited Jurisdictions”, so the test is wider than residence. The Classic 2-Step at 10% target and 10% static drawdown lists at $343 with no activation fee, $68.60 per $1,000 of a $5,000 floor. MT5 is the one platform US customers cannot pick (16 on MT5).

  • Countries barred: 15 of 197 (12 beyond the FATF call-for-action list)
  • Who it applies to: Nationality, location or residence
  • US residents: Open; MT5 not offered to US
  • Price: $343 one-time at $50K, no activation fee; code TRADE15 (15% off) with no end date shown; $68.60 per $1,000 of loss room
  • Watch out for: A 3% daily drawdown, fixed on the starting balance, ends the account and stays in force once funded.
  • Trustpilot: rating hidden behind Trustpilot’s “breach of our guidelines” banner, 1,781 reviews (read October 6, 2026)

FTUK lists 13 countries, and its footer adds the US and UAE

FTUK’s help article lists 13 restricted states. Its footer and terms add a line the help article does not: services and MT5-related information “are not intended for residents of the United States, United Arab Emirates (UAE)”. Read conservatively, that puts both on every product and the count at 15; read as an MT5-only sentence, which the Instant checkout widget supports, the count off MT5 is 13. We rank on the conservative 15 and sho
