We checked 18 prop firms on their own app pages, help articles and terms to see which products you can actually trade from a phone, from the evaluation to the first payout. Eleven pass. Ranked by cost per $1,000 of overall loss room at $50K: FundedNext Stellar Lite on MT5 ($57.50, outside the US), The5ers High Stakes 2-Step ($62.25, non-US), Hola Prime 2-Step Prime ($63.80), FTMO 1-Step ($71.62), Tradeify Growth 50K on the Tradesea app ($72.50, cheapest futures), Top One Trader 1-Step FLASH on MT5 ($81.71), Breakout 1-Step Pro ($112.00, the only firm app that trades, shows the floor and takes payouts), Kraken Prop on Kraken Pro ($112.00), Elite Trader Funding 50K Direct to Funded ($149.40), Purdia 50k EOD Evaluation ($154.50) and Apex Trader Funding on Tradovate ($359.50). Most firm “apps” are account apps: FTMO’s tracks objectives, Purdia’s takes payouts, and Goat Funded Trader’s cannot place a trade. Topstep has no app and runs in a phone browser. Only Breakout, FTMO and Purdia say an app shows where the account ends. US residents lose the phone app at FundedNext, The5ers and Top One Trader. Alpha Futures has a trading app but an open payout queue, Take Profit Trader’s funded floor trails open profit, and Blue Guardian, Lucid Trading and SabioTrade name no app we could confirm on their own pages.

Freshness: checked October 5, 2026, with a few figures carried from reads on October 2 to 4, 2026, as noted in each section. FTMO’s euro price is converted at the ECB reference rate of October 2, 2026 (EUR/USD 1.1225). Firms change apps, platforms and prices without notice, so check the firm’s own pages before you pay. Each Trustpilot figure carries the date it was read.

Quick picks among prop firms that allow mobile trading
- Cheapest loss room you can trade on a phone: FundedNext Stellar Lite in the MT5 app, $57.50 per $1,000 on a static floor, outside the US.
- All three phone jobs in one firm app: Breakout 1-Step Pro (crypto), $112.00 per $1,000. Its app trades, shows the drawdown and takes payout requests.
- Cheapest futures account with a phone app: Tradeify Growth 50K on Tradesea, $72.50 per $1,000.
- Forex from the US on a phone app: Hola Prime 2-Step Prime on Match Trader or TradeLocker (US and UK buyers), $63.80 per $1,000.
- Trade and request payouts in one exchange app: Kraken Prop on Kraken Pro, $112.00 per $1,000.
- No evaluation, Tradovate phone app: Elite Trader Funding 50K Direct to Funded, $149.40 per $1,000.
Asking which firms “have an app” gets the wrong answer surprisingly often, because one word covers three different jobs: placing trades, seeing where the account ends, and getting paid. Store listings and review sites count any app with the firm’s name on it. We counted only products whose own firm names an installable app that trades the account at the evaluation and the funded stage, and ranked them by cost per $1,000 of loss room. If you are new to evaluations, our guide to passing a prop firm challenge covers the risk plan before the platform.
Can you trade a prop firm challenge on your mobile phone

Yes, at most firms here, but the answer depends on the product, the stage and where you live. Think of it as three separate jobs:
- Trade: place, change and close orders with a stop in an app that logs into this exact account, at the evaluation and again once funded. Thirteen of the 18 firms sell such a product, and two of those carry serious warnings. The rest fail in different ways: Topstep runs in a phone browser, Goat Funded Trader’s app is read-only, Blue Guardian and SabioTrade name no app, and Lucid Trading’s app is on store listings but nowhere on its own site.
- See the floor: know where the account ends while you are away from your desk. Only Breakout, FTMO (objectives in its own app) and Purdia (with a warning that the figures may lag) say an app shows it. Everyone else shows balance and equity and leaves the sum to you.
- Get paid: request the payout from the phone. Breakout and Purdia take requests in their apps, Kraken Pro has a Request Payout button, and The5ers and Top One Trader use web dashboards. Most firms do not say.
What usually breaks is not the app itself but a rule around it: a platform that is closed to US residents (MT5 at FundedNext, The5ers and Top One Trader), a funded stage on a different platform (Elite Trader Funding moves live accounts off Tradovate), or a device rule that a phone on mobile data can trip. Several firms also say plainly that a computer is better: Purdia’s terms recommend a desktop or laptop, and Elite Trader Funding needs the first Tradovate login on a computer.
Best prop firms with mobile apps, ranked by cost
Eleven products, one per firm, cheapest per $1,000 of overall loss room first. Breakout and Kraken tie at $112.00; Breakout ranks ahead because its app also shows the floor. The second table keeps the same order and shows the money, the floor, the US answer and the live stage.

Notes on this ranking: * An activation fee or the cost of the phone route is not published for these products (FundedNext, Hola Prime and Top One Trader publish no activation fee; FundedNext, Hola Prime, Top One Trader, Kraken and Purdia publish no app or market data cost). We do not assume either is zero, so the figure covers the published price alone and would rise with any fee charged later. † The floor trails your balance before it locks or stops (FTMO, Tradeify, Elite Trader Funding, Purdia and Apex at the end of each day; Top One Trader on the closing balance), so it gives less room in practice than a static floor of the same size. The ranking still uses the dollar figure. ‡ The5ers’ $50K size table shows an 8% floor ($4,000) while its High Stakes FAQ says 10% ($5,000); we rank on the smaller figure. § The firm names the phone app without naming the funded stage; the funded stage rests on its own wording that the platform stays the same or is named for both stages (FundedNext and The5ers name the platform per stage; Hola Prime, Top One Trader and Purdia rely on a fixed platform or login). Kraken’s payout button is in Kraken Pro, which Kraken says runs on web and phone; it does not mention the phone separately. Purdia’s figure is one month of a monthly price plus activation. If Alpha Futures’ payout queue clears, its Standard 50K on the Alpha Trader app ($64.50 for one month) would rank third. Codes and promotions never set a rank; they appear in each firm’s section.
How we checked prop firm mobile apps

- Firm pages only: each firm’s app page, help articles, platform pages, terms and checkout, read October 5, 2026, mostly from a US IP. App store listings were used only for publisher, update date and rating counts, and only when the firm itself links or names the app. Review sites, directories and vendor pages were leads, never sources.
- Per product and per stage: we graded the plan you buy, not the brand, at the evaluation, at the funded stage and at any live stage before the first payout.
- The test: the firm must name an installable app that places and closes orders on this account at the evaluation and the funded stage, or say the funded account keeps the same platform. A phone browser, a read-only app or an app named only on a store listing does not count. A product that passes but carries a serious problem, such as a floor that trails open profit or an unpaid payout queue the firm admits, goes in its own section.
- The cost measure: list price plus any activation fee plus any fee needed for the phone route, divided by the overall maximum loss in dollars, times 1,000, at $50K. Never a daily loss limit, never a code price, and never an assumed zero for a fee the firm does not publish.
- Ties and extra columns: seeing the floor and getting paid on the phone are shown for every product and break ties; device rules and country limits are shown, never used to rank.
Worked example: FundedNext Stellar Lite costs $229.99 and its floor is 8% of $50,000, or $4,000. $229.99 divided by $4,000, times 1,000, is $57.50. Apex adds a $129 activation fee to its $590 price, so ($590 + $129) / $2,000 x 1,000 = $359.50. Each firm’s cheapest qualifying product on that measure is the one ranked, which is why FTMO’s 1-Step ($71.62) ranks rather than its 2-Step ($77.45). A discretionary move to a live account, such as Tradeify’s or Apex’s, is listed as a warning and never changes a rank.
The ranked prop firms with mobile apps, firm by firm
In table order. Each section covers the same points: the phone app at each stage, whether the phone shows the loss limit, whether you can request a payout from it, the device and VPN rules, who can use the phone route, the cost working, the loss limits, the live stage, the main watch-out and the Trustpilot reading.
FundedNext Stellar Lite is the cheapest loss room you can trade in the MT5 phone app, outside the US
Outside the US, FundedNext buys the most loss room per dollar of any product here that a phone app can trade from the first trade to the first reward. Its help centre walks you through logging “your FundedNext trading account” into the MT5 phone app on the “FundedNext-Server | Paid Account” server, and the firm says traders at $50,000 and up “must trade fully manually on MetaTrader 4 or MetaTrader 5, both in Challenge and FundedNext accounts.” Stellar Lite lists at $229.99 for $50,000 with an 8% static floor: 8% of $50,000 is $4,000, so the cost is $57.50 per $1,000.
Video: “Master MT5 with FundedNext: Your Complete Download & Login Guide | FundedNext Explained,” FundedNext official YouTube channel, February 8, 2024. Source type: vendor-produced. Why selected: FundedNext’s own MT5 download and login guide, which covers desktop and mobile; it predates the current Stellar plans, so expect newer screens.
- Phone trading by stage: The MT5 mobile guide itself is not tied to a stage, but MT5 is named for “both in Challenge and FundedNext accounts,” and platform changes are not allowed on the FundedNext account. MT4 has its own mobile login article, and cTrader works on phones for a $25 platform fee up to $50K. Every account is simulated, and the FundedNext account pays.
- Loss limit on the phone: No FundedNext page says the MT5 app shows where the account ends. You see balance and equity, so keep the numbers yourself: equity must stay above $46,000 at all times, and you cannot lose more than 4% ($2,000) in a day.
- Payout from the phone: FundedNext does not say whether a reward request can be made from a phone. The first reward comes 21 days after you start trading, the minimum request is $20, and payout identity checks include a “real-time selfie” Liveness Check, with no device named.
- Device, IP and VPN rules: “All trading activities must be conducted using personal devices exclusively owned by the trader,” and a device shared with another trader is banned “regardless of your relationship with that individual.” Mobile data is allowed in plain words: traders may connect from “home Wi-Fi, mobile data, or public internet” as long as the IP is not from a restricted country. A VPN is allowed under the same country rule, but VPS use is not permitted at $50,000 and above.
- Who can use the phone route: Not US residents. “Clients who are using a MetaQuotes server cannot use a USA-based IP address,” and US buyers get Match-Trader only, through a web terminal link with no app named, so the US version of Stellar Lite fails this test. FundedNext closed cTrader to new US accounts on March 31, 2026.
- Cost at $50K: $229.99 list, no activation fee published, no cost published for the phone route, against $4,000 of overall loss room: $57.50 per $1,000. Fees not published are not assumed to be zero, so this figure covers the price alone. No code was showing on Stellar Lite. The Stellar 2-Step costs $299.99 for $5,000 of room ($60.00 per $1,000) on the same MT5 phone route.
- Loss limits and payouts: The $4,000 floor is static at both stages, and the 4% daily limit ends the account. The split starts at 80%. FundedNext’s own payout promise reads “we’ll disburse the Performance Reward within the next 24 hours like clockwork,” which is the firm’s claim.
- Live stage: None. FundedNext accounts are simulated, and the funded account pays.
- Watch out for: The MT5 phone route depends on where you live and where your phone connects from, so a US IP on a trip can break the rule. A one-star review dated October 5, 2026 describes an account permanently terminated after a compliance session.
- Choose it when: You live outside the US and want a static floor on a two-phase challenge you can run start to finish in the free MT5 app.
- Trustpilot: 4.5 out of 5 on 80,873 reviews (read October 5, 2026).
The5ers High Stakes runs on free MT5 and cTrader phone apps, but only for non-US traders
The5ers answers the phone question in a single FAQ: “For non-US clients: You can trade using MetaTrader 5 and cTrader, which is available as a mobile app for iOS and Android. This allows you to manage trades, monitor the markets, and check your account while on the go.” The High Stakes 2-Step costs $249 at $50,000, and the mobile apps are free. Its floor is the catch: the $50K size table shows an 8% maximum loss ($4,000) while the High Stakes FAQ says 10% ($5,000). We use the smaller figure, which puts it at $62.25 per $1,000.
Video: “Introduction cTrader – The5ers' New Platform Designed for Traders,” The5ers official YouTube channel, August 25, 2025. Source type: vendor-produced. Why selected: The5ers’ own introduction to cTrader, one of the two platforms it offers on phones outside the US; it shows the platform on desktop.
- Phone trading by stage: The mobile FAQ does not name a stage, but the High Stakes page lists “Platform: Mt5 Hedge” for Step 1, Step 2 and the funded Pro Trader stage, and “Platform choices are final once purchased and cannot be switched between.” cTrader adds $10 to the price. Funded accounts are simulated and pay directly.
- Loss limit on the phone: The apps let you “check your account,” but no page says they show the stop-out level. On the 8% table, equity must stay above $46,000 (or $45,000 on the FAQ’s 10%), and The5ers says the allowance grows with retained profit. The daily limit is 4% on the size table and 5% in the FAQ.
- Payout from the phone: Withdrawals run through the web Hub, where “Traders can also check their own withdrawal requests and current status.” The first withdrawal comes 14 days after the funded account opens, once you have $150 of profit, and The5ers charges 3.5% per withdrawal.
- Device, IP and VPN rules: “You can use multiple devices and IP addresses to access your account, provided they originate from the same primary location,” but “you must not execute trades from two different IP addresses at the same time.” That second line matters if you leave a desktop terminal running and then trade from your phone on mobile data. The FAQ has no VPN article.
- Who can use the phone route: Non-US residents only. “For US-based clients: TradingView is currently available through the web trading platform only,” so the US version of High Stakes fails this test. A note on its platform FAQ, updated August 13, 2026, adds that “cTrader is no longer an option for new accounts for US clients.”
- Cost at $50K: $249 list, no activation fee, nothing extra for the phone app, against $4,000 of overall loss room: $62.25 per $1,000. No code applies to this plan. High Stakes Classic costs $279 for the same $4,000 on the 8% figure ($69.75 per $1,000).
- Loss limits and payouts: Both stages use the same static floor; the daily limit ends the account. The split runs from 80% to 100%. There is no live call-up.
- Live stage: None. Funded accounts are simulated and pay directly.
- Watch out for: The two floor figures on The5ers’ own pages. A one-star review dated October 5, 2026 describes an account terminated “over similar trading patterns without providing evidence of actual coordination.”
- Choose it when: You live outside the US, want a $249 static-floor two-step, and are happy with the MT5 or cTrader app.
- Trustpilot: 4.7 out of 5 on 39,212 reviews (read October 5, 2026).
Hola Prime links a phone app for every platform it sells, including its own cTrader app
Hola Prime publishes its own build of cTrader in the app stores, the “Hola Prime cTrader” app, sold under HolaPrime Limited on iOS and updated on Google Play on September 30, 2026. Its Trading Platforms page also links the MetaTrader 5 apps, and for US and UK buyers the MTR GooeyTrade app for Match Trader and the TradeLocker apps. The 2-Step Prime costs $319 at $50,000 on every platform for a $5,000 static floor, which works out to $63.80 per $1,000.
Video: “How to Login to the Match Trader | Hola Prime,” Hola Prime official YouTube channel, October 22, 2024. Source type: vendor-produced. Why selected: Hola Prime’s own Match Trader login walkthrough, the platform its US and UK buyers use; there is no official mobile-app video on its channel.
- Phone trading by stage: No article names the funded platform in words. Hola Prime’s plan chain keeps the same platform from Challenge to Sim. Funded, and its Prime Circle perk offers a “Free Platform Change at Funded Stage,” which only makes sense if you stay on the one you bought. All accounts are demo accounts with no live stage.
- Loss limit on the phone: No page says the MT5, cTrader or Match Trader apps show the floor. Keep equity above $45,000; the daily limit is 5% of the previous day’s closing balance.
- Payout from the phone: Not stated. Hola Prime does say that “KYC verification and payment transactions must also be completed using an IP address originating from the trader’s registered country.”
- Device, IP and VPN rules: Phones are named directly: sharing “laptops, desktops, tablets, or mobile phones with other traders” is strictly prohibited and leads to “termination of all existing accounts.” Mobile data is fine (“home/office Wi-Fi and mobile data”) within your registered country, and a VPN is allowed if its IP is in that country. Trading from a restricted country, or through a VPN routed there, “will lead to account termination.”
- Who can use the phone route: Outside the US, MT5 and cTrader; the firm says they “are not available for traders located in the United States.” “Match Trader and TradeLocker will be available exclusively to clients in the US and UK,” at the same $319, so US buyers pass on those apps.
- Cost at $50K: $319 list, no activation fee published, no cost published for the phone route, against $5,000 of overall loss room: $63.80 per $1,000. Fees not published are not assumed to be zero, so this figure covers the price alone. A generic WELCOME20 code (20% off) shows no end date. The 2-Step Pro costs $384 for $5,000 ($76.80 per $1,000).
- Loss limits and payouts: The $5,000 floor is static at both stages and the 5% daily limit ends the account. The $319 price buys a biweekly cycle at 80%; on-demand payouts cost $339 and monthly at 95% costs $383. The fee comes back 25% at a time with each of the first four payouts.
- Live stage: None. The Sim. Funded account pays.
- Watch out for: Stop losses become compulsory once funded (“Stop loss is mandatory on every trade”), with a 2% risk cap per trade idea and a 30-day inactivity suspension, so set the stop in the app every time. A one-star review dated October 3, 2026 says a payout was refused without a clear reason; the firm replied. One review dated September 3, 2026 claims an account was breached for using mobile data, which Hola Prime’s own policy allows.
- Choose it when: You want a named phone app on whichever platform you pick, including in the US on Match Trader or TradeLocker.
- Trustpilot: 4.5 out of 5 on 3,891 reviews (read October 5, 2026).
FTMO pairs four trading apps with its own phone app that tracks your objectives
FTMO keeps the two jobs apart. Trading happens in MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5, cTrader or TradingView, each with an iOS and Android build linked from its trading platforms page, which FTMO names for “FTMO Challenge: 1-Step, FTMO Challenge: 2 Step, and on an FTMO Account.” Its own “FTMO” app (35.7K Google Play reviews and over 500,000 downloads when read on October 5, 2026) does not place trades; its store listing says it lets you “track your trading activity and view key metrics in Live MetriX.” The 1-Step costs €319, $358.08 at the ECB rate of October 2, 2026, for a $5,000 floor: $71.62 per $1,000.
Video: “How to Log In to MT5 on iOS App | FTMO,” FTMO official YouTube channel, July 27, 2026. Source type: vendor-produced. Why selected: FTMO’s own walkthrough of logging in to MT5 on the iOS app, posted July 27, 2026; an Android version is on the same channel.
- Phone trading by stage: The same four apps cover the Challenge and the FTMO Account. FTMO’s TradingView route runs through the OANDA panel with “Continue with FTMO Profile,” and FTMO warns that accounts “will not be synced to any of your other devices with the same TradingView registration,” so you connect again on the phone. Clients “never actually perform any trades on live markets.”
- Loss limit on the phone: The FTMO app’s listing says you can “Monitor your trading objectives in Live MetriX,” and the maximum loss is one of those objectives. On the 1-Step the floor sits at 90% of your highest midnight balance and only moves up: if your best midnight balance is $52,000, the floor is $46,800.
- Payout from the phone: Not stated. No FTMO page or listing line says rewards can be requested in the app.
- Device, IP and VPN rules: Travel and VPNs are “generally allowed,â
