We read the education, coaching, webinar and terms pages of 22 prop firms to see what each one actually teaches, who gets it and what it costs. Six run live teaching anyone can watch free (Group A), three more give a free course library (Group B), three sell teaching or keep it for funded or invited traders (Group C), and eight have only videos, a blog or the word “education” in their terms (Group D). Topstep is the cheapest firm with free live coaching ($47.50 per $1,000, monthly, Trading Combine $50K) and The5ers the cheapest forex one ($62.25 per $1,000, 8% floor). Seven firms’ own streams show trades or setups while their rules ban signal, copy or group trading, so use them to learn, not for entries. Published coaching prices run from For Traders’ $99 an hour to Alpha Capital Group’s GBP 3,999 diploma, and seven firms call their service educational with no lessons behind the word. We never score how good the teaching is.

Freshness: teaching pages, schedules and terms were read October 8, 2026; prices, loss floors and payout terms come from reads between October 5 and 8, 2026, and each Trustpilot figure carries its own date. Firms change programmes without notice, so check the session schedule before you buy.

Why this guide reads the firms’ own pages: page one for “prop firm mentorship program” and “prop firm coaching” is mostly people selling mentorship, courses or passing academies beside prop accounts, plus roundups that list education as a one-line perk. Not one of them says what a prop firm itself teaches, whether it is running, who gets it, what it costs and whether trading its live calls breaks that firm’s own rules. Those are the five things in every row below.

How to read the teaching table. Group A firms run live teaching that a buyer of the ranked account, or anyone, can use at no extra charge. Group B firms give a free course library but no qualifying live teaching. Group C firms teach only for a fee, only once you are funded or only by invitation. Group D firms publish content such as videos and blogs, or use the word “education” with nothing behind it. A stream counts as teaching only when the firm itself calls it coaching, a class, a webinar, a lesson, a course or training; a disclaimer saying “educational purposes” does not count.

Notes on this ranking. Ranks 1 to 20 run through Group A, Group B, Group C and Group D in that order, and cost per $1,000 sorts each group; there are no ties. The two firms shown last are listed by the same measure but not numbered. Each mark in the cost column means this:

  • Monthly (Topstep, TradeDay, Take Profit Trader, Earn2Trade): the figure is one month of fee. Each extra month adds the fee again, so two months of Topstep is $190, or $95.00 per $1,000.
  • Fee-only (Audacity Capital, SabioTrade, FundingPips, Blue Guardian, FundedNext, Goat Funded Trader): the firm publishes no activation fee, so the figure is the challenge fee alone, and we never assume the missing fee is zero. Each $50 of activation would add: Audacity Capital $10.00; SabioTrade $16.67; FundingPips $8.33; Blue Guardian $10.00; FundedNext $12.50; Goat Funded Trader $10.00.
  • Euro price (FTMO, BrightFunded): the fee is charged in euros and converted at the ECB rate for October 2, 2026, 1.1225. FTMO’s €319 is $358.08 and BrightFunded’s €297 is $333.38. FTMO’s 2-Step at €345 ($387.26) would be $77.45.
  • 8% floor (The5ers): its $50K table shows an 8% maximum loss and a program FAQ says 10%. We rank on the lower floor, $62.25; at 10% it would be $49.80, still second in Group A.
  • Configured price (For Traders): the $343 is the Classic $50K configured at purchase with a 10% target, 10% max loss and 3% daily loss. The default Classic at $359 is $89.75 and the Fast 1-Step at $249 is $83.00.
  • Worldwide price (SabioTrade): $289 is the Worldwide list; the US-located page shows $339, or $113.00 per $1,000. Its place does not change.
  • On-Demand price (Alpha Capital Group): the $267 is the On-Demand payout schedule. The Bi-Weekly schedule is $297, or $59.40 per $1,000, which would still be second in Group C.
  • Activation from first payout (Earn2Trade): the $139 LiveSim activation fee is counted in the figure; Earn2Trade says it is deducted from the first withdrawal amount.

Read the two tables together. The lowest cost per $1,000 in the guide, Blue Guardian’s $25.40, sits thirteenth because it teaches nothing, while Topstep tops the list on free live coaching at $47.50. Teaching prices sit beside the figure, never inside it: a $99 coaching hour or a $249 course is optional and cannot be compared fairly across formats.

Education in name only
  1. What the teaching is. Every offering the firm runs on its own site or official channels: live one-to-one coaching, live group sessions it calls teaching, structured courses, reviews of your own trades, or content only. Each was checked for running-now evidence: a published schedule, a booking route, or a session dated in 2026.
  2. Who gets it and what it costs. Free to anyone, free with any account, inside a pricier plan, only once funded, by invitation, or a paid add-on with its price. We quoted the sentence that says so.
  3. Who teaches, the calls and the label. The teachers and credentials the firm states (its claims, not checked), whether its sessions give live trades or setups and what its own signal, copy and group-trading rules say, any link between teaching and an account, and any terms sentence calling the service educational.
  4. Four groups, then cost. The free offer sets the group (A live, B course library, C paid or later, D content only). Inside each group, firms rank by cost per $1,000 of loss room at $50K, using the cheapest product on that measure whose floor does not trail open profit. One product per firm.

Cost per $1,000 = (list price + activation fee) / smallest overall loss floor x 1,000

Worked example: Topstep’s Trading Combine $50K on the No Activation Fee Path costs $95 for a month and its end-of-day trailing floor is $2,000, so $95 / $2,000 x 1,000 = $47.50. We never score the quality of the teaching, because it cannot be judged without taking it, and we did not take, book or join anything. A discretionary move to a live account is the first watch-out in every block where a firm has one, never a reason to drop a firm, and Tradeify and every other firm faced the same tests and the same warning order. Teaching pages were read October 8, 2026.

What prop firm education and mentorship really is

Prop firm education and mentorship in four groups: live coaching, course library, paid or later, and content only
The four groups, from free live coaching down to content only.

Four formats turn up on firm pages, and they are not equal for a learner. Live group sessions are the most common real teaching: Topstep’s TopstepTV, The5ers’ performance-coaching streams, Tradeify’s Trading Floor hour, For Traders’ weekly MasterClass, Audacity Capital’s lives and webinars, and SabioTrade’s mostly German webinars. One-to-one coaching is rarer and almost always paid or reserved: For Traders and TradeDay sell it, FTMO, Apex Trader Funding and FundingPips keep it for funded or invited traders, and SabioTrade puts it in paid bundles. Course libraries are the cheapest teaching to run, and eight firms open one without a purchase or with any plan. Content covers everything else: trading shows, podcasts, interviews, blogs and archived videos.

The line between a lesson and a show is drawn by each firm’s own description, not by ours. E8 Markets’ Session LIVE! promises analysis, setups and Q&A; MyFundedFutures’ MyFundedTV offers live trade breakdowns; FXIFY Pulse is Elliott Wave market analysis; Goat Funded Trader’s weekly stream is a trading competition. Each is watchable and some are useful, but none is presented as a class, so none moves a firm into Group A.

Running now matters as much as format. Several firms still list teaching that has stopped: Apex Trader Funding’s webinar page ends with a replay from November 29, 2022; TradeDay’s daily webinars ended with the October 1, 2025 session; For Traders’ numbered Trading Academy series last ran in November 2025; Take Profit Trader’s only course is a 2023 mini series; Alpha Capital Group’s market-preview streams stopped in December 2024; and The5ers’ events page lists no online event after September 18, 2025, even though its coaching streams continue on YouTube. Archived material can still help, but it is not mentorship.

Who gets prop firm coaching and what it costs

Free to anyone covers most of the live teaching: TopstepTV, Live with The5ers, Audacity Capital’s lives, For Traders’ streams, TradeifyTV and SabioTrade’s YouTube webinars need no account at all. Some course libraries want an email sign-up (Topstep’s Training Camp, Tradeify’s last two lessons, FXIFY’s course, the AudaCity University). SabioTrade’s Academy comes with any plan, and on its Essential plan access lasts only until the account is breached.

Funded or invited only is where the one-to-one coaching usually sits. FTMO’s performance coaches see traders who have passed and hold an active FTMO Account; Apex Trader Funding coaches inside its Live program; FundingPips coaches weekly inside its Prime Account, which it opens by invitation. For a learner that is backwards: the coaching arrives after the test you wanted help passing. These are the prices firms publish for teaching you can buy:

Teaching prices as each firm publishes them, read October 8, 2026; none is added to our cost figure.

Is paid mentorship worth it? We cannot answer that for you, because we do not score teaching we have not taken. What the prices do show is scale: one $99 coaching hour costs the same as Tradeify’s Growth 25K evaluation, and Alpha Capital Group’s diploma costs about 15 times FTMO’s 1-Step $50K. Free sessions first, then paid help only for a gap you can name, is the cheaper order.

Who teaches at prop firms with mentorship

Firms name their teachers more often than they explain them, and every credential below is the firm’s own claim. FTMO is the most specific: its coaches’ psychology degrees are listed by university. TradeDay lists its London mentors’ careers, including one it describes as a BACP-approved counsellor and therapist. The5ers says its coach Rich Wells has seven years of full-time trading experience; SabioTrade introduces Rüdiger Born as an institutional trader with over 30 years in the markets; FXIFY gives Jeremy Wagner the letters CEWA-M.

Others name hosts with no credentials (Topstep’s coaches, Tradeify’s hosts and Coach Tex, E8 Markets’ Ken Chigbo and Joel, MyFundedFutures’ Terri Trades) or no one at all (FundingPips’ Prime coaching, Lucid Trading’s Discord coaches, the FXIFY and Apex courses). Three firms hand teaching to outsiders: Alpha Capital Group’s diploma runs with partner Divento Financials, FundedNext’s live sessions feature guest mentors, and Tradeify’s homepage points to ChartAcademy masterclasses that it does not run.

Trade calls, signals and the prop firm’s own rules

This is the catch most mentorship pages leave out. Seven firms’ own sessions show live trades, setups or entries while their own rules ban trading from signals, copying others or trading as a group: Topstep, The5ers, For Traders, Tradeify, E8 Markets, Goat Funded Trader, MyFundedFutures. Not one of them says in writing whether acting on its own stream counts. The safe reading is the plain one: use the sessions to learn, not for entries on an evaluation or funded account, unless the firm says otherwise in writing.

  • Topstep: coaches “trade live” on TopstepTV, while its prohibited-conduct article bans trading the same strategy in concert with others.
  • Tradeify: streams promise “Live trades, instant reactions, and chat-driven commentary”, while its agreement bans group trading and the copying or mirroring of trades with any other person.
  • For Traders: a crypto stream trades a funded account live, while “Group trading and signal trading are prohibited”.
  • E8 Markets: Session LIVE! offers daily trade setups, while E8 does not permit signal services.
  • The5ers, MyFundedFutures and Goat Funded Trader: real-time execution, live trade breakdowns and a live trading contest, beside bans on coordination, collaboration and copying trading groups.

Three firms sit outside that pattern. Audacity Capital is the only one that writes the rule down both ways: an idea from its webinar is fine once you have done your own analysis, while placing a trade you watched someone make on a live stream is banned. SabioTrade runs its own real-time signals channel and webinars with long and short scenarios, and its terms ban copiers and automation but say nothing about trading signals; get its answer in writing before you trade them on an evaluation. TradeDay’s tips sessions have ended and it publishes no signal rule. If you want to share or sell your own trades rather than follow someone else’s, our guide to prop firms for signal providers and copy-trade leaders covers the rules for that side. We do not describe ways around any of these rules.
