We checked 23 firms’ own pages for the Tradovate route at evaluation, at the sim-funded stage and at the live stage. 20 run Tradovate today; 17 of those 20 rank, because the other three (Earn2Trade, Take Profit Trader, Hola Prime Futures Direct) carry a hard rule independent of any live call-up. Three ranked firms (Funded Futures Family, Elite Trader Funding, Tradeify) explicitly swap Tradovate for a different platform at the live stage; two (Purdia Capital, Lucid Trading) name Tradovate specifically at live. A live call-up is a warning here, not a reason to drop a firm.

Quick picks for prop firms that use Tradovate

  • Through live, no call-up gap: Purdia Capital 50K EOD Evaluation, $179/month. Tradovate named as the live brokerage partner by firm statement.
  • No live stage at all: E8 Markets E8 Zero Starter 50K, $178 one-time. Every account stays simulated through payout, so there is no live-move risk to weigh.
  • Cheapest Tradovate 50K: FundedNext Futures Flex 50K, $133.99 one-time.
  • Tradovate swapped at live: Tradeify Growth Evaluation 50K, $145 one-time. Elite Live moves to NinjaTrader and GFF Brokers.

“Uses Tradovate” is a per-stage fact, not a brand-level label. Twenty firms run Tradovate today on at least one product; three of them swap it out the moment a trader reaches a live account, and one firm, Alpha Futures, dropped Tradovate entirely on July 12, 2026 before bringing TradingView back on September 4, 2026 through a different broker, Plus500, not Tradovate. The label can go stale inside eight weeks, which is why this post checks every stage on the firm’s own pages rather than trusting a homepage logo.

Is Tradovate a prop firm

Prop firms that use Tradovate: three stepping stones labeled Evaluation, Funded and Live crossing a stream, each carrying the same platform connection, with a flag reading Same platform?
Tradovate is the broker underneath evaluation, funded and live accounts at most of these firms, not the prop firm itself.

No. Tradovate is a futures brokerage and trading platform, not a prop trading firm. It holds no evaluation products, pays no profit splits and runs no funded-account programs of its own; its own support pages describe handling “Prop Firm and Evaluation Account Inquiries” for its partner firms rather than running such programs itself. A prop firm issues a trader a Tradovate username and password tied to that firm’s own evaluation or funded account; the trader logs into Tradovate (directly, through NinjaTrader, or through TradingView’s Trading Panel) using those credentials, and Tradovate handles the order execution and charting while the prop firm handles the rules, the grading and the payout. Twenty of the 23 firms checked for this post issue Tradovate credentials on at least one product today.

How to connect a prop firm account to Tradovate and TradingView

The route is almost identical across every firm in this post: log into Tradovate with the firm-issued username and password, enable the free TradingView add-on inside Tradovate’s Settings, then log into TradingView itself, open the Trading Panel, select Tradovate as the broker, choose the Demo environment, and enter the same Tradovate credentials. Eighteen of the 20 firms that run Tradovate today route TradingView this way, through a Tradovate login, rather than through a native TradingView broker connection; see the full count and the two exceptions below under “Tradovate at the live stage.”

  • Demo tab, not Live: every evaluation and sim-funded connection uses TradingView’s Demo environment pointed at the firm-issued Tradovate credentials, even though the account is trading real market data.
  • Free vs paid TradingView: the free TradingView Basic plan works at most firms, though several (Top One Futures, Tradeify) warn it updates only every few seconds; a paid plan removes the delay but is rarely required to trade.
  • Monthly re-activation: at Apex Trader Funding and Earn2Trade specifically, the free TradingView add-on inside Tradovate must be manually renewed every month or the connection lapses and shows an unexpected charge.
  • Platform choice is usually permanent: Top One Futures and Tradeify both state the platform picked at checkout (Tradovate vs Rithmic vs another broker) cannot be changed later on the same account, including across resets.

Tradovate features traders use at these firms

Across the firm pages checked for this post, Tradovate itself is described as a cloud-based futures platform with web, desktop and mobile clients (including iOS and Android), a built-in trade copier across a trader’s own accounts, and native TradingView charting access through its Phidias Propfirm’s own platform comparison names it directly: “Tradovate, Best for TradingView users & multi-device, Native TradingView integration, Any device: web, mobile, desktop, Full Mac & iOS + Android support, Built-in trade copier, Real-time execution.” Level 1 CME market data is free at the evaluation and sim-funded stage at every firm in this post that publishes a figure; Level 2 depth data and additional exchange feeds (CBOT, COMEX, NYMEX) are optional paid add-ons, typically $12 to $40 a month per feed during simulation and far more once a trader reaches a live, real-money account (commonly $140 to $156 a month per exchange).

How we checked prop firms that use Tradovate

Five-step process behind our ranking of prop firms that use Tradovate, built from each firm’s own pages and dated checks
The five checks behind every ranking in the Prop Trader’s Guide.

A product ranks here when Tradovate is offered at evaluation and the sim-funded stage, and the firm carries no serious rule problem other than a live call-up. Within the ranked list, firms are ordered first by route completeness: Tradovate confirmed through the live stage or no live stage exists at all (cleanest, 9 firms); then Tradovate confirmed to sim-funded with the live-stage platform not published (5 firms); then Tradovate explicitly replaced by a different platform at live (3 firms, still ranked, since this post’s own test only covers the sim-funded journey). Within each band, firms are ordered by list price for the cheapest comparable Tradovate product, ascending, then by Trustpilot score and count as a tiebreaker.

A live call-up is treated as a warning, never as a reason to rank a firm lower: if a firm’s only serious finding is a discretionary move to a live account, it is ranked, with the call-up named first in its watch-out, in the firm’s own words, with whether a trader can decline and what happens to the sim balance. A firm stays cautionary only for another, independently confirmed problem: an account-ending daily loss limit, a max-loss floor that trails the intraday peak including unrealized profit, or a load-bearing conflict between a firm’s own pages. We rank at most one product per firm, the one that best fits the post’s own test; every other product at that firm gets one contrast sentence naming the product to avoid and why.

Tradovate at the live stage

Of the 20 firms that run Tradovate today, only two, Purdia Capital and Lucid Trading, name Tradovate specifically at the live, real-money stage in their own pages. Nine more carry Tradovate through a live stage described only in generic terms, or have no live stage at all. Five firms confirm Tradovate through sim-funded but go silent on the live-stage platform (“Not published,” a documented gap, not a fail). And three firms, Funded Futures Family, Elite Trader Funding and Tradeify, explicitly replace Tradovate with a different platform the moment a trader is moved to a live account: Funded Futures Family names an unlabeled “Pro execution environment” then Rithmic infrastructure; Elite Trader Funding restricts LIVE ELITE to “Rithmic-compatible platforms only”; Tradeify’s Elite Live moves to “NinjaTrader and GFF Brokers.” Each of these three still ranks here, because this post’s own test covers the sim-funded journey, where Tradovate genuinely works, and names the live-stage swap as the single biggest watch-out in its block.

Apex Trader Funding sits between the two groups: Tradovate carries through its sim Performance Account stage, but at Live the firm names only “Tradovate or NinjaTrader,” dropping any mention of TradingView specifically, a partial gap, not a full platform swap.

Data and platform fees on top of Tradovate

Level 1 CME data is free during evaluation and sim-funded trading at every firm in this post that publishes a figure, as long as the trader certifies as a non-professional. Picking “Professional” by mistake, or skipping the required certification, triggers an unadvertised monthly data fee at several firms: Apex Trader Funding warns of fees “exceeding $115,” Top One Futures calls it “a substantial monthly data fee,” and Tradeify prices it at a flat $300 a month. Optional Level 2 depth data during simulation ranges from about $12 to $49 a month depending on the firm and the exchange bundle. The real cost increase comes at the live stage: professional CME data commonly runs $130 to $156 a month per exchange once a trader is moved off simulation, a cost that lands on firms across every band in this post, from Phidias ($156/month per non-CME exchange) to BluSky, TradeDay and Hola Prime Futures (all $130 to $156/month per exchange).

Route stability for prop firms that use Tradovate

Nineteen of the 20 firms that currently run Tradovate show no known change to that route in the past 12 months, by their own pages. The one exception is the clearest proof that “uses Tradovate” is a fact that can go stale: Alpha Futures removed Tradovate, along with NinjaTrader and TradingView-via-Tradovate, on July 12, 2026, discontinuing its Premium plan in the same update. TradingView came back on September 4, 2026, but through a different broker, Plus500US, not Tradovate; the firm’s current platform list (AlphaTrader, TradingView via Plus500, WealthCharts, Deepchart, Quantower) names no Tradovate route at all, re-verified live on October 2, 2026. BluSky Trading Company separately rewrote its live-brokerage transition mechanism on October 1, 2026, improving the call-up terms (see its block below); this was a change to the call-up process, not to the underlying Tradovate platform route.

Ranked prop firms that use Tradovate

All 17 ranked firms below run Tradovate at evaluation and the sim-funded stage with no serious rule problem other than a live call-up, where one exists. The first nine confirm Tradovate through the live stage or have no live stage at all; the next five confirm it to sim-funded with the live-stage platform not published; the last three explicitly swap Tradovate for a different platform at live, named as the biggest watch-out in each block.

Purdia Capital has a rule-triggered path to live, not a discretionary call-up, best for 50K EOD Evaluation

Verdict: First. Tradovate is named by the firm as the live brokerage partner, and the move to a live account is triggered by a published profit cap, not by a discretionary call-up.

Video: “Purdia Capital: Live Q&A Session and Future Vision,” Purdia Capital LLC official YouTube channel, 2024-10-26. Source type: vendor-produced. Why selected: No official Tradovate/TradingView-specific video exists; this is the channel’s best available general-overview video.

Checkout reads “Trade with Tradovate | TradingView” on both the 50K EOD Evaluation and the Instant Funded line. Purdia’s knowledge base says the Tradovate add-on “should be available at no additional cost for Purdia traders,” and the free TradingView plan works. At the live stage, Purdia’s onboarding article names Tradovate directly as its “brokerage partner,” the only firm on this list besides Lucid Trading to do that by name.

  • Watch out for: SFA profit above the one-time $2,000 target is forfeited at the earlier step and never reaches the Temp SFA; firm pages also disagree on the inactivity-closure window (14 days vs 30), a minor conflict.
  • Live-move watch-out: Move to live is RULE-TRIGGERED, not discretionary: the Temp SFA carries a $10,000 transferable-profit cap, and reaching it moves the account to a live Tradovate account automatically. If the broker itself declines, the trader keeps the eligible Temp SFA funds.
  • Best for: rule-based path to a live Tradovate account
  • Trustpilot: 3.8 / 5 (88 reviews). Purdia Capital profile.

E8 Markets has no live stage at all, best for E8 Zero Starter 50K

Verdict: Second. Tradovate is the only platform E8 Markets offers for futures, and the account never leaves simulation for a live stage, so the firm’s own call-up risk is zero by design.

Video: “E8 Zero Explained: Rules, Drawdown & Payouts (2026),” E8 Markets official YouTube channel, 2026-07-16. Source type: vendor-produced. Why selected: Official E8 channel video on the Futures product’s rules; no video covers the Tradovate connection specifically.

“At this moment, Tradovate is the only available trading platform for Futures SimFi trading,” and TradingView connects through the same Tradovate login at no extra cost. Because E8 pays out directly from the simulated account rather than moving traders to a real-money account, the live-call-up risk that applies to most other firms on this list does not exist here.

  • Watch out for: Automated and semi-automated trading is banned even though the Tradovate platform itself supports it, and the account deactivates after the 5th payout regardless of remaining buffer; Trustpilot’s rating is hidden behind a breach-of-guidelines banner.
  • Live-move watch-out: No live call-up exists at all: every E8 account stays simulated through payout, so there is nothing to decline and no sim-to-live balance question.
  • Best for: a Tradovate account with no live-transition risk
  • Trustpilot: Rating hidden (breach of guidelines), 3,299 reviews. E8 Markets profile.

AquaFutures has no live stage at all, best for Flex No DLL 50K

Verdict: Third. Every futures product offers the same Tradovate checkout choice, carries through to the sim-funded stage, and never reaches a live stage at all.
