Prop Firms in India, Checked Against the RBI Alert List

We checked 18 prop firms for Indian residents against the RBI Alert List, country lists and payout rails. Alpha Capital Group ranks first; FTMO and FundedNext are listed.

Document-based research and editorial review. Last reviewed October 8, 2026 36 min read

Key takeaways

We checked 18 prop firms for Indian residents, product by product, on September 30, 2026. Twelve pass cleanly enough to rank, including three futures firms whose only watch-out is a live call-up. Three sit on the RBI Alert List, directly or through a parent (FTMO, FundedNext, ThinkCapital), and so do MetaTrader 4 and 5. Cleanest pass: Alpha Capital Group Alpha Pro 6%, which names India and pays to an Indian bank by wire or Rise. UPI appears only at the three India-focused firms, each cautionary for its own conflicting pages.

Quick picks among prop firms for Indian traders

  • Cleanest India pass: Alpha Capital Group Alpha Pro 6%, $217. Names India; bank wire or Rise.
  • INR to an Indian bank: E8 Markets E8 One, $288. WorkMarket pays INR for ₹279 plus 2-3% FX.
  • Lowest upfront fee: The5ers Bootcamp, $22 upfront plus $50 on passing ($20K plan). Rise can pay INR.
  • Read first: FTMO and FundedNext are on the RBI Alert List.

Why “accepts India” is not enough: the RBI Alert List names “FTMO https://ftmo.com/en” and “FundedNext https://fundednext.com”, two big firms accepting Indian clients.

  1. Sources: each firm’s help centre, terms and checkout, read September 30, 2026.
  2. India status: named, absent from a complete list, product-limited, or not stated.
  3. RBI list: firms, domains, parent brands and platforms checked against every entry.
  4. Money rails: how you pay in, and which rail reaches an Indian bank.
  5. Order: cleanest India pass, then a rail to an Indian bank, then $50K list price.
How money moves at prop firms in India: Pay in, then the Country list gate, the RBI Alert List check, the Challenge, and the Payout rail to a bank
Every product passes the same five gates, from paying in to the payout rail.

Our prop firms available in India audit and India restriction tracker date from August 2026 and predate this RBI check.

BestProps does not give legal advice. The RBI publishes an Alert List of entities “neither authorised to deal in forex under the Foreign Exchange Management Act, 1999 (FEMA) nor authorised to operate electronic trading platform (ETP)” for forex, plus sites “promoting unauthorised entities/ETPs”. It warns: “This list is not exhaustive. An entity not appearing in the list should not be assumed to be authorised by the RBI.”

The firms say their accounts are simulated. AquaFunded, ThinkCapital and Tradeify also make legal claims, quoted as their own. For a firm answer, ask an Indian lawyer.

The list runs to 95 rows, last updated as on November 19, 2025, and it is wider than prop firms: most rows are retail forex brokers (Alpari, Exness, IC Markets, XM and dozens more) and two mobile apps with no listed website (“Dream Trade Mobile Application”, “Mini Trade Mobile Application”). Only two prop challenge brands appear by name: FTMO at 13 and FundedNext at 83. A third, Smart Prop Trader, sits at 82, one row below FundedNext; it was not a brief or candidate firm for this post and we have not reviewed it, but an Indian trader checking any new prop firm against the list should expect to find broker names far more often than prop firms.

Ranked prop firms for Indian traders

All twelve are off the RBI Alert List; three are futures (Topstep, Tradeify, MyFundedFutures).

Alpha Capital Group Alpha Pro names India, the cleanest pass for Indian traders

Verdict: First. It names India and pays to an Indian bank by wire or Rise.

Video: “Alpha Capital’s $100M in Payouts: Scaling Across Futures and Prime,” Alpha Capital Group official YouTube channel, 2025-06-12. Source type: vendor-produced. Why selected: No official Alpha Capital video covers India. This one explains Alpha Prime, the call-up named below; the payout total in its title is the firm’s claim.

Alpha’s India guide: “Yes. Traders in India can use Alpha Capital.” India is also selectable at checkout.

  • Pay in: card (Nuvei) or crypto (CoinPayments) in USD; no UPI or INR.
  • Payout rail: bank transfer (WIRE/ACH/SWIFT) or Rise, both in the India guide; fee not published.
  • Platform and the RBI list: MT5 is entry 47; cTrader, DX Trade and TradeLocker are not listed.
  • Cost: $217 one-time, Alpha Pro 6% $50K On-Demand.
  • Watch out for: Alpha Prime, a live call-up; a trader who declines “will receive their final payout” and leaves. September 2026 reviewers report device and IP payout denials.
  • Worked example: A $1,000 gross profit payout on the On-Demand track clears the 40% Best Day Rule and the $1,000 minimum in one request; at 80% split you keep $800, sent by bank wire or Rise with no published fee on Alpha’s side.
  • Also check: Alpha’s India guide covers card and crypto pay-in but not Wise; its own profile page on BestProps says the firm “does not facilitate crypto withdrawals,” while the live terms (Sched. 2, para 2.7) say crypto withdrawals run through Rise.
  • Trustpilot and records: rating hidden (“breach of our guidelines” banner), 21,792 reviews. Alpha Capital Group profile

AquaFunded 2 Step Standard says it has no limits for traders in India

Verdict: Second. India named and a Rise route to an Indian bank stated.

Video: “$5,000+ in AquaFunded Payouts | Funded Trader Interview,” AquaFunded official YouTube channel, 2026-01-26. Source type: vendor-produced. Why selected: No official AquaFunded video covers India. This is the firm’s own trader interview; the payout figure in its title is the firm’s claim.

AquaFunded: “we don’t impose any restrictions or limitations on traders who are based in India.” The same page calls forex prop trading legal for India; that is the firm’s claim.

  • Pay in: card, Apple Pay or crypto, in USD.
  • Payout rail: Rise to “your local bank account or crypto wallet” from $500; crypto from $100 under $5,000. A 3% fee on every payout.
  • Platform and the RBI list: MT5, the default, is entry 47; TradeLocker, MatchTrader and cTrader (+$15) are not listed.
  • Cost: $239 one-time at $50K; $179 with FALL.
  • Watch out for: the funded-only Wave Stop: a 2% combined open loss closes all trades.
  • Worked example: A $1,000 profit request 14 days after the first funded trade, with no minimum trading days and no consistency rule, pays 90% (or 100% with the add-on) minus the 3% fee, about $873 at the standard split, by Rise to a bank or crypto wallet.
  • Also check: AquaFunded’s own profile on BestProps still quotes a flat “$35 Rise processing fee”; the live rewards article sets Rise at a 3% fee on every payout with a $500 minimum, no $35 figure anywhere.
  • Trustpilot and records: rating hidden (“breach of our guidelines” banner), 1,198 reviews. AquaFunded profile

E8 Markets E8 One for India, up to $200,000 with INR bank payouts

Verdict: Third. Open to India by product, with an INR bank rail.

Video: “E8 One Explained: The Fastest Path to E8 Performance,” E8 Markets official YouTube channel, 2026-06-12. Source type: vendor-produced. Why selected: No official E8 video covers India. This official explainer covers E8 One, the product ranked here.

E8 lets India buy “E8 One accounts up to $200,000”; our older India page still says $50,000.

  • Pay in: card, Apple Pay, Google Pay or crypto; crypto purchases are not refunded.
  • Payout rail: WorkMarket pays INR to an Indian bank for ₹279 plus 2-3% FX; Rise pays cash or crypto. $100 minimum.
  • Platform and the RBI list: MT5 is entry 47; cTrader, TradeLocker and MatchTrader are not listed.
  • Cost: $288 one-time at $50K; $260 with code E8.
  • Watch out for: the max loss trails the highest closed balance until it locks at the start.
  • Worked example: An on-demand $1,000 profit payout at the 80% default split pays $800; taking it through WorkMarket as INR costs a flat ₹279 plus 2-3% FX on top, where crypto or cash through Rise has no stated fee from E8’s side.
  • Also check: BestProps’ own India tool, last checked August 22, 2026, still caps E8 One for India at $50,000 and omits E8 Zero; the live Accepted Countries article lifted the E8 One cap to $200,000 and added E8 Zero at every size.
  • Trustpilot and records: rating hidden (“breach of our guidelines” banner), 3,298 reviews. E8 Markets profile

The5ers Bootcamp leaves India off a complete country list

Verdict: Fourth. The lowest upfront list fee here, with static loss lines.

Video: “Interview with a trader: Total Payouts of $31,246,” The5ers official YouTube channel, 2026-05-23. Source type: vendor-produced. Why selected: No official The5ers video covers India. This is the firm’s own trader interview; the payout total in its title is the firm’s claim.

India is not on The5ers’ list of “countries that we can not accept”. Bootcamp has no $50K size.

  • Pay in: Visa or Mastercard, PayPal or crypto; “a payment method registered in your own name.” No INR.
  • Payout rail: Rise, which says it can “pay out in INR”, bank transfer, or crypto up to $1,500. 3.5% fee, $150 minimum.
  • Platform and the RBI list: MT5 is entry 47; cTrader (+$10) and the TradingView terminal are not listed.
  • Cost: $95 upfront plus $205 on passing for the $100K plan; $22 plus $50 for $20K.
  • Watch out for: an Indian reviewer (September 2026) whose RuPay card failed used a friend’s card, and the account was disabled.
  • Worked example: At the $150 minimum profit, paid 14 days after funding with no consistency rule, Bootcamp’s scaling split (up to 100% at the top step) nets more than the 80% most forex firms here pay, minus the 3.5% Rise or bank fee, about $145 in hand.
  • Also check: The5ers’ own High Stakes product page and its FAQ disagree on the $50K floor: the page shows an 8% total and 4% daily loss, the FAQ names 10% and 5% for the same account size, a live conflict on a different product than the one ranked here.
  • Trustpilot and records: 4.7/5 on 38,804 reviews. The5ers profile

Topstep 50K Combine, open to India, paid by wire

Verdict: Fifth. Futures open to India at every stage, with a wire rail to an Indian bank.

Video: “What Is a Topstep Express Funded Account (XFA)? | Funded Trader Payouts Explained,” Topstep official YouTube channel, 2026-05-14. Source type: vendor-produced. Why selected: No official Topstep video covers India. This official explainer covers the XFA stage, Indian traders’ first payout step.

Topstep tests “both citizenship and permanent residency”; India sits on neither the XFA-only nor ineligible list, so the Live stage applies too.

  • Pay in: card (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Discover), Google Wallet or Apple Pay, in USD; no PayPal.
  • Payout rail: Wire/SWIFT only, $30 fee, $125 minimum, 5-10 business days.
  • Platform and the RBI list: TopstepX only; MT5, entry 47 on the RBI list, is not among Topstep’s platforms.
  • Cost: $95/month list, No Activation Fee path, $50K; $85/month with the $1,000 DLL add-on.
  • Watch out for: a discretionary Live call-up: the Risk Team decides when, you cannot decline, and balance above your account size is forfeited (80% held in Reserve).
  • Worked example: Hitting the $2,000 XFA payout cap and requesting it costs the flat $30 wire fee, so about $1,970 lands in an Indian bank 5 to 10 business days later; Topstep’s own 2025-2026 statistics page says just 0.71% of XFA traders were ever called up to Live.
  • Also check: Topstep’s own payouts page still lists Wise as a route with no country limit; the live payout policy restricts Wise to China, Canada and the UK only, leaving Wire/SWIFT as the sole rail that reaches India.
  • Trustpilot and records: 3.6/5 on 14,878 reviews. Topstep profile

Tradeify Select 50K, open to India, mandatory Elite Live

Verdict: Sixth. Futures open to India by residence, with daily Rise payouts.

Video: “$200,000,000 in Payouts. THANK YOU!,” Tradeify official YouTube channel, 2026-05-22. Source type: vendor-produced. Why selected: No official Tradeify video covers India. This is the firm’s own payout-milestone video; the total in its title is the firm’s claim.

India is absent from Tradeify’s “Full alphabetical list” of restricted countries, tested by residence.

  • Pay in: card (Visa, Mastercard, Amex) or crypto via Confirmo, in USD.
  • Payout rail: Rise, named by Tradeify’s India blog for bank transfer or USDC, Plane as backup; $250 minimum.
  • Platform and the RBI list: Tradovate, NinjaTrader, TradingView and Rithmic terminals; MT5, entry 47, is not among its platforms.
  • Cost: $165 one-time at $50K Select; SEP ($99) ended September 30, 2026.
  • Watch out for: a mandatory Elite Live call-up the trader cannot decline: all sim accounts close, and profit since the last payout is lost (the live account starts at $0).
  • Worked example: Select Daily’s per-request cap since September 1, 2026 is $1,250 on a $50K account, $250 minimum; Tradeify’s own homepage puts the call-up rate at 3.0% of funded participants over the year to July 2026, so most traders never see the forfeiture rule in practice.
  • Also check: Tradeify’s own Restricted Countries article heads its list “Full alphabetical list (58 countries)” but actually prints 65 names, a counting error on the firm’s own page, though India is absent from the list either way.
  • Trustpilot and records: 4.4/5 on 4,906 reviews. Tradeify profile

BrightFunded 2-Step Bright is open to India but paid in euros

Verdict: Seventh. India is absent from a complete list, but money moves in EUR or USDC.

Video: “Here's Exactly How Modern Prop Firm Payouts Work (And How To Maximise Them) #propfirmtrading,” BrightFunded official YouTube channel, 2026-05-06. Source type: vendor-produced. Why selected: No official BrightFunded video covers India. This official video explains its payout process.

“You are eligible to buy a challenge unless you reside in” Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Pakistan, Syria or Vietnam.

  • Pay in: card, Revolut Pay or crypto, charged in EUR.
  • Payout rail: EUR bank transfer or USDC (ERC-20), no minimum; first payout 30 days after the first funded trade.
  • Platform and the RBI list: MT5 is entry 47; cTrader and DXtrade are not listed.
  • Cost: EUR 277 one-time at $50K; EUR 193.90 with 3YEARS. Not comparable like-for-like with USD prices.
  • Watch out for: no INR, UPI or Rise; processor and FX fees “range between $5 and $50”.
  • Worked example: A EUR 1,000 funded profit, requested 30 days after the first funded trade with no minimum and no profit cap, pays 80% (EUR 800) by EUR bank transfer or USDC, before the trader converts euros to rupees on arrival.
  • Also check: BrightFunded’s own profile on BestProps still prices the sibling 2-Step Classic at a “temporary 15% sale” rate from mid-August; the live product page runs a 30% 3YEARS code instead, a deeper discount than BestProps’ own page shows.
  • Trustpilot and records: rating hidden (“breach of our guidelines” banner), 571 reviews. BrightFunded profile

MyFundedFutures Rapid EOD 50K, open to India, Rise payouts

Verdict: Eighth. Futures with daily payouts; India absent from its restricted list.

Video: “Episode 08 – MFFU Plans Explained 📈,” MyFundedFutures official YouTube channel, 2026-07-05. Source type: vendor-produced. Why selected: No official MyFundedFutures video covers India. This is the firm’s own plan-overview episode.

India is absent from MyFundedFutures’ A-Z restricted-country list, which says a non-listed trader “can take the challenge”.

  • Pay in: card (forex and prepaid cards refused) or crypto, in USD.
  • Payout rail: Riseworks; India is not on Rise’s own restricted list, but MyFundedFutures states nothing India-specific; $500 minimum.
  • Platform and the RBI list: Tradovate, NinjaTrader, TradingView and Quantower; MT5, entry 47, is not among its platforms.
  • Cost: $209 one-time at $50K Rapid EOD; homepage lists $125.
