We checked 21 prop firms against all 20 Latin American countries in their own words and ranked 15 forex, futures and crypto products by cost per $1,000 of loss room at $50K, in two bands. Local-currency payouts exist only in Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Mexico, Peru and Uruguay, via Rise ($10) or WorkMarket. A search of six regulators on October 6, 2026 found no alert naming any firm; Alpha Futures (open payout queue) and Apex Trader Funding (US-only footer) are not ranked.

Checked: October 6, 2026 for firm prices, rules, country lists in English, Spanish and Portuguese, payment and payout pages, the FATF lists and the regulator searches. Quick answer and the top prop firms for traders in Latin America

Latin America is 20 countries, and the firms’ own lists treat them differently. We read every firm’s list for all 20, then ranked each firm’s best $50,000 product on what you pay for each $1,000 the account can lose, first among products open in all 16 core countries, then among those that name a gap. The cheapest open everywhere:

  1. Topstep Trading Combine, No Activation Fee: $47.50 per $1,000. Price $95/month; floor $2,000, end-of-day trailing.
  2. E8 Markets E8 Pro 10%: $49.80 per $1,000. Price $249; floor $5,000, static, both stages.
  3. FundedNext Stellar Lite: $57.50 per $1,000. Price $229.99; floor $4,000, static, both stages.
  4. The5ers High Stakes 2-Step (NEW): $62.25 per $1,000. Price $249; floor $4,000, static (its FAQ says $5,000).
  5. Atmos Funded 2-Step Plus: $63.00 per $1,000. Price $189; floor $3,000, static on equity (6%).

FundedNext’s and Atmos Funded’s figures rest on activation fees the firms do not publish either way, and Topstep’s covers one month of a monthly bill. On fully published one-time prices the lowest open everywhere is E8 Markets, which also pays five local currencies through WorkMarket. If your country is Brazil or Mexico, our guides to the best prop firms for traders in Brazil and the best prop firms for traders in Mexico go deeper on national rules, tax and local payment methods; this guide gives each of them one row and covers the other 18 countries in full.

Latin America is not one market for prop firms

Directories say a firm “accepts Latin American traders”. The firms’ own lists say something more useful. Four countries, Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua and Venezuela, are barred by most firms. Below that, the bars are specific and easy to miss: three futures firms bar Ecuador and Panama, one futures firm bars Peru and Panama, one forex firm bars Chile and Bolivia, one forex firm’s checkout leaves out the Dominican Republic, and one firm sells Brazil instant accounts only.

Two more things split the region. The first is the test a firm applies: some bar residents, some bar citizens, one goes by the country on your identity document and two go by where you are when you trade. For the many Venezuelans, Cubans, Nicaraguans and Haitians who live elsewhere in the region, that decides the answer. The second is money: getting paid in your own currency is possible in six countries, through payout processors rather than the firms themselves, and the rest of the region is paid in dollars, by card or in crypto.

What a prop firm is for Latin American traders, and how the business works

A prop firm, or empresa de fondeo, sells you an evaluation on a simulated account. You trade to a profit target without breaking a daily or overall loss limit; pass, and you get a funded account, usually still simulated, and the firm pays you a share of the simulated profit, typically 80% to 90%. That is different from a broker account, where your own money sits in a real account and every loss is yours. With a prop firm the most you can lose is the fee, and the firm decides whether to pay under its own terms. For the basics, see what a prop firm is.

  • For: your loss is capped at the fee, you can trade a $50,000 account for $95 to $379, most firms here pay 80% or more of profit, six countries can be paid in local currency, and FundedNext and Atmos Funded take local payment methods.
  • Against: most buyers never reach a payout, a broken daily limit ends most forex accounts at once, funded accounts are mostly simulated, payouts outside six countries arrive in dollars or crypto, and several firms keep a live move you cannot refuse.

Most firms here describe funded accounts as simulated or demo. “Although FTMO Traders trade with simulated capital only, they are entitled to receive a Reward in the form of real money”, FTMO says, and E8 Markets calls every account a demo account. A few pages say otherwise: FXIFY says “Once you pass the Assessment, we provide you with a live account” and Goat Funded Trader’s terms speak of a live account while its disclaimer calls accounts fully simulated. The firms are offshore companies registered in the UK, the Czech Republic, Saint Lucia, the US and elsewhere, and none of the pages we read mentions a licence from a Latin American regulator.

How we checked prop firms for Latin America

How we ranked the best prop firms for traders in Latin America, from each firm’s own country list and price to the overall loss limit
The checks behind every ranking in this guide.
  1. Read each firm’s own restricted-countries page, terms, help articles and, where it loads, the checkout country list, product by product, in Spanish and Portuguese where the firm has those pages, and read every list to the end for all 20 countries.
  2. Give each country one status per product: named as accepted, not listed on a closed list, not listed on an open-ended list (“including” or “not limited to”), barred, or a narrower limit such as no Live stage, instant accounts only, extra checks, not offered at checkout, or a clause that may reach it.
  3. Note what each list tests: residence, citizenship, the country on your ID or where you are, plus any route the firm publishes for nationals living elsewhere.
  4. Price every $50K variant at list price, add any activation fee, divide by the smallest overall loss limit at any stage (never a daily limit or a per-trade rule), and multiply by 1,000. Codes go in the firm notes only.
  5. Rank one product per firm: the cheapest among those open in the most core countries. Band A is open on the promised funded stage in all 16 core countries; Band B names the core countries where it is not.
  6. Note pay-in methods named per country, payout routes that reach a local bank and their fees, Spanish and Portuguese support, live-stage terms, Trustpilot, and a search of six national regulators.

The 16 core countries are Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Panama, Paraguay, Peru and Uruguay. Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua and Venezuela are shown in every table but do not decide a band, because nearly every firm bars at least one of them. Puerto Rico is treated by the firms as part of the US, and the English- and Dutch-speaking Caribbean is outside this guide.

Prop firms for Latin America ranked by cost per $1,000 of loss room

Lower is better. A $2,000 floor at $95 and a $5,000 floor at $249 both cost under $50 for each $1,000 you are allowed to lose, which is the comparison that matters if you expect to buy more than once. Band A first, then Band B; within each band, cheapest first.

Notes on this ranking: Cost per $1,000 is the list price of the firm’s cheapest $50,000 product among those open in the most core countries, plus any activation fee, divided by the smallest overall loss limit at any stage, times 1,000. Band A products are open on the promised funded stage in all 16 core countries; Band B products name at least one core country where they are not, or not on the same terms. Daily loss limits and per-trade or per-symbol rules (Alpha Capital Group’s 2% Max Risk Rule, Goat Funded Trader’s Goat Guard) are not used; they are named as watch-outs. Prices are in US dollars; FTMO states its fee in euros, converted at the European Central Bank rate of October 2, 2026, EUR/USD 1.1225. No firm here shows a local-currency price. a Monthly billing: Topstep’s figure covers one 30-day cycle. A second month at $95 would make it $95.00 per $1,000, behind every other Band A product except Tradeify 247. b FundedNext does not name an activation fee for Stellar Lite and does not say there is none; a fee above $19.01 would drop it below The5ers. c The5ers’ High Stakes $50K size table shows an 8% overall loss ($4,000) while its FAQ reading is 10% ($5,000). We rank on the tighter figure; on the FAQ figure it would be $49.80, level with E8 Markets. d Atmos Funded shows no activation line on its 2-Step panels while its 1-Step panels state theirs, so $189 is the evaluation fee alone; a fee above $25.86 would drop it below FTMO. e FTMO states its fee in euros: €319 x 1.1225 = $358.08. Its 2-Step Challenge (€345, about $387.26, static floor, fee refunded with the first reward) works out at $77.45. f FundingPips publishes no activation or Master fee either way, so $299 is the evaluation fee alone; a fee above $21.40 would drop it below Alpha Capital Group. g AquaFunded publishes no separate activation fee either way. Its cheaper 2 Step Elite ($221.60 for a static $5,000 floor, $44.32 on the fee alone) is open everywhere AquaFunded is except Brazil, which gets instant accounts only, so the instant account is the one product open in all 16.

The regulator column is our site search of the CVM, CNBV, CNV, CMF, SFC and SMV on October 6, 2026, described in the regulator section. Pay-in methods are listed only where the firm names them for a Latin American country.

Which prop firms accept traders in each Latin American country, product by product

Every product we checked, against all 20 countries, in the firms’ own words. “Named” means the firm lists the country as accepted; “Not listed” means it is absent from a list the firm presents as closed; “Open-ended list” means it is absent from a list worded “including” or “not limited to”, which still leaves room for an unnamed bar. “Barred” means the firm names the country. The narrower limits are explained in the sections that follow.
