We checked 18 prop firms on October 5, 2026 for traders in Italy and ranked 16 standard forex and futures products by cost per $1,000 of loss room at $50K. Blue Guardian 2 Step Nano is cheapest at $25.40 on its fee alone, then Topstep at $47.50 ($95 a month), E8 Markets E8 Pro 10% at $49.80 with a euro bank payout through WorkMarket, FundingPips 2 Step Flex at $49.83, which names Italy for local bank transfers, and Alpha Capital Group Alpha Pro 10% at $53.40, which names Italy at checkout. No firm excludes Italy, no firm claims CONSOB authorisation, and we found no CONSOB blackout or warning naming any of them; CONSOB’s July 2024 warning on prop firms names none. Only FTMO and BrightFunded charge in euros, BrightFunded and E8 Markets publish euro bank payouts, and Rise lists Italy for euro withdrawals at $10. Apex Trader Funding sits in a warning group. Euro figures use the October 2, 2026 ECB rate of 1.1225.

Quick answer and the top five prop firms in Italy

Italy is an easy country for prop firms: none of the 18 firms checked names Italy as excluded, and every standard product we priced can be bought by an Italian resident. The differences are in how firmly the firm says yes, what CONSOB has said, and whether a payout can reach an Italian bank in euros. Ranked on what you pay for each $1,000 the account can lose, these five come first:

  1. Blue Guardian 2 Step Nano: $25.40 per $1,000. Price $127 (about €113.14); floor $5,000, static, both stages.
  2. Topstep Trading Combine, No Activation Fee: $47.50 per $1,000. Price $95/month (about €84.63); floor $2,000, end-of-day trailing.
  3. E8 Markets E8 Pro 10%: $49.80 per $1,000. Price $249 (about €221.83); floor $5,000, static, both stages.
  4. FundingPips 2 Step Flex: $49.83 per $1,000. Price $299 (about €266.37); floor $6,000, static (12%), all stages.
  5. Alpha Capital Group Alpha Pro 10%: $53.40 per $1,000. Price $267 (about €237.86); floor $5,000, static, both stages.

Blue Guardian’s lead depends on an activation fee it does not publish either way, and FundingPips’ figure is fee-only too. On published all-in prices the lowest are Topstep for futures and E8 Markets for forex. If you want Italy named rather than merely missing from a list, Alpha Capital Group and Fintokei are the two that name it. For the same checks across all 27 EU states, see our guide to the best prop firms for traders in Europe.

What a prop firm is for traders in Italy

A prop firm, in the sense these 18 firms use the word, sells you an evaluation on a simulated account. You trade to a profit target without touching a daily or overall loss limit; pass, and you trade a funded account that is usually still simulated, and the firm pays you a share of the simulated profit, typically 80% to 90%. That is different from a traditional proprietary trading desk that hires traders on salary to trade the firm’s own capital. For the basics, see what a prop firm is.

Every ranked firm describes its funded accounts as simulated or demo, and several say so in the plainest terms: Fintokei calls its accounts fully simulated, For Traders calls all trading demo trading using fictitious funds, and FTMO says its traders trade with simulated capital only. A few keep a live stage behind a discretionary move, covered in each firm’s section below.

Italy has no licence written for prop firms. CONSOB, the Commissione Nazionale per le Società e la Borsa, authorises investment firms and, under article 36, paragraph 2-terdecies of Decree-Law 34/2019, can order Italian internet providers to block sites that offer investment services without authorisation. Its release of October 1, 2026 put the total at 1,834 sites blacked out since July 2019. On July 8, 2024 CONSOB issued a warning about prop firms, republished on IOSCO’s I-SCAN alert network as warning 33616 on July 15, 2024. It names no firm. In CONSOB’s words:

Consob has received reports regarding the spread of a phenomenon known as “funded trading”, “financed trading accounts” or “shadow investment game” that involves companies that define themselves as “proprietary firms” (or, in short, “prop firms”).

But the challenge is designed in such a way that it is not easily overcome and there may be an increasing level of difficulty of the trading challenges to be accessed with further outlays from savers.

From the reports received, it has emerged that the savers who have adhered to these initiatives, for example, by paying for training courses and/or for a financial information service, have not been paid any economic benefit by the “prop firms”.

We searched every firm in this guide, its domains and, where it has one, its holding or group company against CONSOB’s blackout releases from March 25 to October 1, 2026 and against IOSCO’s I-SCAN network for older CONSOB warnings. We found no blackout order or warning naming any of them on October 5, 2026. CONSOB’s own site blocked repeated automated searches, so releases older than March 2026 were checked only through I-SCAN, which carries CONSOB’s warnings and blackout orders but may not carry every one.

Two name-alike results are worth knowing. I-SCAN lists CONSOB blackout orders from February 10 and November 23, 2020 against ForTradersFX Ltd on the domains fortradersfx.com and for-tradersfx.com. Those are different domains from For Traders’ fortraders.com and different companies from the ones its footer names, and nothing published links them, so we do not attribute them to For Traders. Read the entries yourself if in doubt.

None of the 18 firms claims CONSOB authorisation. Some cite other licences that do not cover the prop program in Italy: FXIFY’s footer names a Mauritius-licensed group company, Tradeify’s agreement names a US-registered introducing broker, and SabioTrade’s overview names its platform provider’s Australian licence. Most firms say outright that they are not brokers, and For Traders adds that it does not provide investment services within the meaning of MiFID II. We do not call any firm legal or illegal. For firms that do hold a licence somewhere, see our guide to regulated prop firms, and for how the same checks work against the FCA register, the best prop firms for UK traders.

Which prop firms accept traders in Italy

We read each firm’s own restricted-countries page, terms, help article or checkout for Italy, San Marino and the Vatican. Three groups come out:

  • Italy named: Alpha Capital Group lists Italy in its checkout country menu, and Fintokei names Italy on its list of countries with crypto payouts.
  • Missing from a named list with no “including” wording: Topstep, E8 Markets, FundedNext, Goat Funded Trader, The5ers, BrightFunded, For Traders, FTMO, Tradeify and My Funded Futures.
  • Missing from a list worded “include” or “including”: Blue Guardian, FundingPips, FXIFY and SabioTrade. They rank, but their wording leaves room for a country they have not named.

The small states around Italy are treated differently. FTMO restricts San Marino and the Holy See while accepting Italy, and E8 Markets restricts the Vatican City State but not San Marino. My Funded Futures restricts Corsica and France’s other islands, so the nearest bar for Sardinia and Sicily traders is French, not Italian. Each firm also tests something different, which matters if you are an Italian citizen living abroad or a foreign resident in Italy:

How prop firm payouts reach an Italian bank in euros

How prop firms pay traders in Italy: an outline map of Italy with a payout arrow into a bank marked with the euro sign
Prop firm payout to an Italian bank: the leg that turns dollars into euros.

No firm checked names SEPA for payouts. Two publish a euro bank payout that reaches Italy: BrightFunded says bank transfers are processed in euros, and E8 Markets pays through WorkMarket, whose own fee page lists Italy for a euro bank-account transfer at €1.75 plus 2-3% conversion. FundingPips names Italy for a local bank transfer without saying in what currency, and Fintokei wires to any bank and covers the fee. Most of the others pay into Rise, whose help page lists Italy, San Marino and the Vatican for euro withdrawals to a local bank at $10 within two business days, with the conversion done by Rise.

FTMO, BrightFunded and Fintokei charge no fee of their own. For how each rail works across firms, see prop firms that pay by wire, bank, Rise, Deel or Wise.

Paying in is a separate question. FTMO and BrightFunded charge in euros, Fintokei sells euro accounts and accepts SEPA bank transfers for them, and FundingPips can show euros but charges in dollars. Everyone else prices in US dollars, so your card issuer converts.

  2. Treat a brand’s forex, futures and crypto arms as separate listings, and keep crypto-only products in their own table.
  3. Price every $50K variant at list price, add any activation fee, and convert euro prices at the October 2, 2026 ECB rate; codes go in the firm notes only.
  4. Divide by the smallest overall loss limit in dollars at any stage, never a daily limit or a per-asset rule, and multiply by 1,000.

Prop firms in Italy ranked by cost per $1,000 of loss room

Lower is better. A $2,000 floor at $95 and a $5,000 floor at $249 both cost under $50 for each $1,000 you are allowed to lose, which is the comparison that matters if you expect to buy more than once.

Notes on this ranking: Cost per $1,000 is the list price of the firm’s cheapest $50,000 product that a resident of Italy can buy, plus any activation fee, divided by the smallest overall loss limit in dollars at any stage, times 1,000. Daily loss limits, per-asset and per-position rules (Alpha Capital Group’s 2% Max Risk Rule, For Traders’ 2% Drawdown Protection, Goat Funded Trader’s Goat Guard) are not used; they are named as watch-outs. Euro figures convert at the European Central Bank reference rate of October 2, 2026, EUR/USD 1.1225; only FTMO and BrightFunded charge in euros by default, and Fintokei sells euro accounts as an option. “Via Rise” means the firm pays into Rise, whose own help page lists Italy for euro withdrawals at $10. The CONSOB column covers CONSOB’s blackout releases from March 25 to October 1, 2026 and IOSCO’s I-SCAN alert network for older CONSOB warnings. Ties share a rank. a Blue Guardian publishes no activation fee for 2 Step Nano and does not say there is none, so $127 is the evaluation fee alone; an activation fee above $110.50 would drop it below Topstep. Its restricted list is introduced with the word “include”, so Italy is missing from a list the firm does not call complete. b Monthly billing: the figure covers one 30-day cycle. A second month at $95 would make it $95.00 per $1,000, behind every one-time product except SabioTrade. c E8 Pro 10% read $249 on the configurator; a checkout read the same day on another page showed $248, which would make it $49.60 without changing its place. d FundingPips publishes no activation or Master fee either way, so $299 is the evaluation fee alone; a fee above $21.40 would drop it below Alpha Capital Group. Its footer bars residents of “certain jurisdictions, including” sanctions and FATF lists; Italy is on neither FATF list dated June 19, 2026. e FundedNext does not name an activation fee for Stellar Lite and does not say there is none; a fee above $16.41 would drop it below Goat Funded Trader. f Goat Funded Trader’s checkout total equals the product price and shows no activation line, but the firm never states the fee is $0; a fee of $3.25 or more would put it level with or behind The5ers. g The5ers’ High Stakes $50K size table shows an 8% overall loss ($4,000) while its FAQ says 10% ($5,000). We rank on the tighter figure; on the FAQ figure it would be $49.80 and tie E8 Markets for third. Its Pro Growth $50K has no such conflict and works out at $109.67. h Fintokei shows no activation line and does not state one, so $329 is the fee alone; a fee of $4.40 or more would put it behind BrightFunded. On a euro account the same plan costs €329 for €50,000 with a €5,000 floor, which is €65.80 per €1,000. i BrightFunded prices in euros: €297 x 1.1225 = $333.38, so $333.38 / $5,000 x 1,000 = $66.68. A 1.3% fall in the euro would put it ahead of Fintokei, and a 2.9% rise would put it behind For Traders. j FTMO prices in euros: €319 x 1.1225 = $358.08. Tradeify is only 1.2% dearer, so a move of that size in the euro would swap them. FTMO’s 2-Step Challenge (€345, about $387.26, static floor, fee refunded with the first reward) works out at $77.45. k FXIFY’s footer list is worded “including” and adds any country where use would be against local law, so Italy’s absence is not a written acceptance. l SabioTrade’s own overview shows $289 for buyers outside the US, while its Italian-language page, read from a US connection, showed $339. We rank on the higher figure; at $289 it would be $96.33 and still last. No activation fee is stated either way, and its list says “including but not limited to”.

How prop firm challenges work for traders in Italy

The ranked products come in three shapes. Two-step evaluations (Blue Guardian, E8 Markets, FundingPips, Alpha Capital Group, FundedNext, Goat Funded Trader, The5ers, Fintokei, BrightFunded, For Traders and FXIFY) need a profit target hit twice, usually 8% to 10% and then a smaller one, before funding. One-step evaluations (FTMO’s 1-Step and SabioTrade’s Plus) need a single target. The futures firms (Topstep, Tradeify and My Funded Futures) run one evaluation with an end-of-day trailing floor, and Topstep bills it monthly until you pass.

The type of floor matters as much as the dollar figure. A static floor stays where it starts. An end-of-day trailing floor moves up with your best closing balance. An intraday trailing floor follows the highest point your equity touches, open profit included, which is the hardest version to trade; no product in the main table uses it. Daily limits end most forex accounts on the day they are hit: 2.5% at E8 Mar
