We checked 18 prop firms on October 5, 2026 for traders in mainland France and in overseas France, and ranked 16 products by cost per $1,000 of loss room at $50K. Blue Guardian 2 Step Nano is cheapest at $25.40 on its fee alone, then Topstep at $47.50 ($95 a month), E8 Markets E8 Pro 10% at $49.80, FundingPips 2 Step Flex at $49.83 and Alpha Capital Group Alpha Pro 10% at $53.40, the only firm that names France and all eleven overseas territories. None of the 18 is on the AMF’s blacklists of September 28, 2026 or on REGAFI. My Funded Futures closes Corsica and the French islands, FTMO excludes Saint-Barthélemy, Apex names Réunion and New Caledonia, and Take Profit Trader names Mayotte. BrightFunded prices and pays in euros, E8 Markets and Lucid Trading pay euro bank accounts through WorkMarket, and no firm names SEPA. Apex Trader Funding and Take Profit Trader are checked but not ranked. Euro figures use the October 2, 2026 ECB rate of 1.1225.

Checked: October 5, 2026. Firms change prices, codes and country lists without notice, so confirm on the firm’s own page before paying. Each Trustpilot figure shows its own read date.

Quick answer and the top five prop firms in France
None of the 18 firms checked names mainland France as excluded, and 16 products are ranked below. The differences that matter for a French buyer are elsewhere: whether your overseas territory or Corsica is on a firm’s list, whether a payout can land in euros in a French bank, and whether the firm’s own pages agree on who may buy. Ranked on what you pay for each $1,000 the account is allowed to lose, these five come first:
- Blue Guardian 2 Step Nano: $25.40 per $1,000. Price $127 (about €113.14); floor $5,000, static.
- Topstep Trading Combine, No Activation Fee: $47.50 per $1,000. Price $95/month (about €84.63); floor $2,000, end-of-day trailing.
- E8 Markets E8 Pro 10%: $49.80 per $1,000. Price $249 (about €221.83); floor $5,000, static.
- FundingPips 2 Step Flex: $49.83 per $1,000. Price $299 (about €266.37); floor $6,000, static (12%).
- Alpha Capital Group Alpha Pro 10%: $53.40 per $1,000. Price $267 (about €237.86); floor $5,000, static.
Blue Guardian’s lead depends on an activation fee it does not publish either way, and FundingPips’ figure is fee-only too. On published all-in prices the lowest are Topstep for futures and E8 Markets for forex. If you want France named rather than merely missing from a list, Alpha Capital Group is the one that names it, along with every overseas territory.
What a prop firm is, for a trader in France
A prop firm, in the sense this guide uses, sells you an evaluation on a simulated account. You trade to a profit target without breaking a daily or overall loss limit; pass, and the firm pays you a share of the simulated profit on a funded account, which at most firms here is still simulated. A few move their best traders to a live account later, usually at the firm’s discretion.
That is a different business from the trading desks and hedge funds that hire staff on salary, which page-1 results sometimes mix in, and from a broker that holds your own money. Questions such as which are the biggest hedge funds in France belong to that institutional world: they sell nothing to retail traders and are not compared here. Nothing in this guide is investment advice.
Benefits and risks of prop firms for French traders
The benefit is plain: for a one-time fee of $127 to $379 at $50K, or $95 a month at Topstep, you trade a $50,000 account and keep 80% to 90% of the profit it is credited with, without putting your own savings in a broker account. The worst case is losing the fee.
The risks are just as concrete. An attempt that hits a loss limit is over, and the next one is bought again. Daily loss limits end the account at most forex firms here, from 3% at Blue Guardian, FTMO’s 1-Step and Tradeify 247 to 5% at Alpha Capital Group and BrightFunded. Payouts can be capped, delayed for reviews or refused for rule breaches, and five of the ranked firms run a live move that you cannot decline. Payouts mostly leave in US dollars, so the conversion to euros costs you at the processor or the bank.
Is prop trading legal in France, and what the AMF says
We do not call any firm legal or illegal; this section reports what France’s market regulator publishes and what the firms say about themselves. We found no rule from the Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF) written for prop firm evaluations. Its page on checking an authorisation, dated July 27, 2026, says: “Pour vous proposer des services d’investissement, toute société, française ou étrangère, doit être enregistrée comme « prestataire de services d’investissement » ou PSI” (to offer you investment services, any company, French or foreign, must be registered as an investment services provider) and listed on the REGAFI register (AMF, Vérifier une autorisation).
None of the 18 firms checked appears on REGAFI. That is not a finding that they break French rules: the firms describe what they sell as simulated evaluations, not investment services. For Traders’ footer says it “does not provide investment services within the meaning of MIFID II,” E8 Markets says all its accounts are demo accounts, and FTMO says its clients never trade on live markets. Whether that description keeps a firm outside the AMF’s remit is a question for the AMF or a lawyer, not for a ranking. One page-1 guide says prop firms in France “are regulated by the AMF”; on our checks, none of these firms is.
The European Securities and Markets Authority’s retail CFD limits (leverage caps such as 30:1 on major currency pairs) bind brokers dealing with retail clients, not a firm’s simulated evaluation, so the leverage on these accounts is set by each firm (ESMA’s summary). The flip side is that you get none of the protections a licensed broker owes a retail client. For which firms hold a licence anywhere, see our guide to regulated prop firms; for how the same question plays out under the UK’s FCA, see the best prop firms for UK traders.
AMF blacklist check for every prop firm in France
Every French-language guide we found in the search results tells you to check the AMF’s blacklists; none checks a firm. We did, firm by firm. The AMF publishes six blacklist files on its listes noires page: forex, crypto-asset derivatives, crypto-assets and other categories, all dated September 28, 2026; miscellaneous goods, June 12, 2026; and binary options, December 6, 2023 (AMF listes noires). We searched all six on October 5, 2026 for each firm’s domain, brand and company names.
No firm, domain or company name in this guide is on any of the six lists. Two near misses are not the firms: the crypto-asset derivatives and crypto-asset lists carry apex-trade.capital and www.apex.exchange (both September 22, 2025) and immediatapex.com (March 12, 2025), which are different sites from Apex Trader Funding’s apextraderfunding.com, and a random-string domain beginning “5er-” sits on the other-categories list as an impersonation entry (February 11, 2021) with no link to The5ers. The only entry with “funded” in it, www.instantfundedaccount.com (impersonation, July 6, 2026), is not one of the firms checked.
The AMF is clear about the limits of its own lists: “ces listes sont mis à jour régulièrement mais ne peuvent être exhaustifs” (they are updated regularly but cannot be exhaustive), and if a company is not on them “vous devez tout de même vérifier qu’elle dispose des autorisations nécessaires” (you must still check that it holds the necessary authorisations). So a clean result here means the firm has not been named, not that it is approved. India’s regulator keeps a similar alert list; see how it applies in our guide to the best prop firms in India.
Prop firms and overseas France, territory by territory
France is not one entry on every firm’s list. Corsica is part of mainland France, but the overseas departments and collectivities carry their own country codes and often appear separately on restricted lists and checkout menus. A firm that says “France: accepted” can still turn away a trader in Saint-Denis de La Réunion or Nouméa. This is what each firm’s own list says:
| Territory | Named on a firm’s list | WorkMarket payout |
|---|---|---|
| Corsica | My Funded Futures (Corsica line) | Same as mainland France |
| Guadeloupe, Martinique | My Funded Futures; FundedNext Futures live stage | Euro bank account |
| French Guiana | None; My Funded Futures unclear | Euro bank account |
| La Réunion | Apex; My Funded Futures | Euro bank account |
| Mayotte | Take Profit Trader; My Funded Futures; FundedNext Futures live stage | Euro bank account |
| New Caledonia | Apex; My Funded Futures | Wire only, 2% ($10 to $30) |
| French Polynesia | My Funded Futures | Wire only, 2% ($10 to $30) |
| Saint-Barthélemy | FTMO; My Funded Futures | Euro bank account |
| Saint-Martin | My Funded Futures | Euro bank account |
| Saint-Pierre-et-Miquelon | Apex; My Funded Futures | Euro bank account |
| Wallis-et-Futuna | My Funded Futures | Wire only, 2% ($10 to $30) |
Read the table with two caveats. My Funded Futures’ line, “France Metro (FX) Corsica & non-mainland islands only,” is ambiguous; we treat Corsica and every island as closed, and its other list names no part of France. FundedNext Futures’ entries limit only its live stage: residents there can still buy, trade and be paid on the simulated account. Apex and Take Profit Trader also block trading while you are physically in a listed place.
Payouts change too. Rise’s own list of local-currency withdrawals names France with EUR but no overseas territory, so a bank in Réunion or Guadeloupe should be confirmed with Rise first. WorkMarket, used by E8 Markets and Lucid Trading, lists euro bank accounts for the Caribbean and Indian Ocean departments and Saint-Pierre-et-Miquelon, but only a wire for New Caledonia, French Polynesia and Wallis-et-Futuna. Alpha Capital Group is the one firm that lists all eleven territories as accepted at checkout. Our own France country page, last checked in August 2026, does not cover overseas France.
How prop firm payouts reach a French bank in euros

No firm checked names SEPA. One page-1 guide credits Lucid Trading, My Funded Futures and FundedNext Futures with SEPA payouts; none of the three says so on its own pages. What the firms and their processors do name is narrower:
| Payout route | Firms here | Pays in | France finding |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bank transfer in euros | BrightFunded | EUR, named by the firm | No firm fee; SEPA not named |
| WorkMarket bank account | E8 Markets, Lucid Trading | EUR, per WorkMarket | €1.75 plus 2-3% FX; SEPA not named |
| Rise, no firm fee named | Tradeify, Tradeify 247, My Funded Futures, FXIFY | USD to Rise, then EUR | Rise lists France | EUR, $10, up to 2 business days |
| Rise, with a firm fee | Blue Guardian, The5ers, FundedNext Futures, For Traders | USD to Rise, then EUR | 3%, 3.5%, up to 3.5% and $50 by firm |
| Rise, among other routes | Alpha Capital Group, E8 Markets, FundedNext, FundingPips | USD to Rise, then EUR | Same Rise France | EUR line |
| Local bank transfer | FundingPips | Currency not stated | France named; $500 minimum |
| Bank wire | FTMO, FundedNext | Currency not stated | No SEPA or euro-account wording |
| International wire | Topstep | Currency not stated | $30 fee, 5 to 10 business days |
| Wise | Take Profit Trader, Alpha Capital Group | USD; Wise converts | Wise’s own page sends USD to EUR in France |
| Plane | Apex Trader Funding | Currency not stated | Bank must be in your country of residence |
| Crypto | Most firms here; not E8 Markets | Crypto | You convert to euros on an exchange |
BrightFunded is the only firm that names euros itself. FundingPips names France for a local bank transfer without a currency. Everyone on Rise depends on Rise’s own help page, updated September 3, 2026, which lists “France | EUR” for local withdrawals at $10 with a maximum of two business days; Rise’s withdrawal guide adds a 1.15% conversion margin. Firm fees come on top: 3% at Blue Guardian, 3.5% at The5ers, up to 3.5% at FundedNext Futures, and $50 per Rise payout at For Traders. Topstep’s only route is a $30 international wire. For every route compared side by side, see our guide to prop firms that pay by bank transfer, Rise, Deel and Wise.
How we checked prop firms for France

- Read each firm’s own restricted countries page, terms, help article or checkout for France, then for Corsica and each of the eleven overseas territories by name, in English and French.
- Searched the AMF’s six blacklists and the REGAFI register for every firm’s domain, brand and company names.
- Priced every $50K variant at list price, added any activation fee, and converted euro prices at the October 2, 2026 ECB rate; codes appear in the firm notes only.
- Divided by the smallest overall loss limit in dollars up to the first payout, never a daily limit or a per-asset rule, and multiplied by 1,000.
- Noted every payout route, whether the firm or only its processor names euros for France, the live stage terms and Trustpilot.
The same checks across the whole EU are in our guide to the best prop firms for traders in Europe, which ranks the bloc on the same measure; this guide adds the AMF, overseas France and France-specific payout checks.
Prop firms in France ranked by cost per $1,000 of loss room
Lower is better. A $2,000 floor at $95 and a $5,000 floor at $249 both cost under $50 for each $1,000 you are allowed to lose, which is the comparison that matters if you expect to buy more than once.

Notes on this ranking: Cost per $1,000 is the list price of the firm’s cheapest $50,000 product that a resident of mainland France can buy, plus any activation fee, divided by the smallest overall loss limit in dollars up to the first payout, times 1,000. Daily loss limits and per-asset rules (Alpha Capital Group’s 2% Max Risk Rule, for example) are not used; they appear as watch-outs in each firm’s section. Euro figures convert at the European Central Bank reference rate of October 2, 2026, EUR/USD 1.1225; your card or bank rate will differ. Only FTMO and BrightFunded charge in euros. Codes never set a rank. Ties share a rank. a Blue Guardian publishes no activation fee for 2 Step Nano and does not say there is none, so $127 is the evaluation fee alone; an activation fee of $110.50 or more would put it level with or behind Topstep. Its restricted list introduces the countries it names with “include,” so France passes by being absent from a list the firm does not call complete. b Monthly billing: the figure covers one 30-day cycle at $95. Two months would cost $95.00 per $1,000, which would place Topstep between FundedNext Futures and Tradeify 247. c FundingPips publishes no activation or Master fee either way, so $299 is the evaluation fee alone; a fee of $21.40 or more would put it level with or behind Alpha Capital Group. Its footer bars “countries on the FATF and EU/UN sanctions lists” with the word “including,” so its list is open-ended; France is named positively on its payout page. d FundedNext names no activation fee for Stellar Lite and does not say there is none; the figure is the evaluation fee alone. A fee of $19.01 or more would put it level with or behind The5ers. e The5ers’ High Stakes $50K table shows an 8% overall loss ($4,000) while its FAQ says 10% ($5,000). We rank on the tighter table figure; on the FAQ figure it would be $49.80, level with E8 Markets. f BrightFunded charges in euros: €297 x 1.1225 = $333.38, and $333.38 / $5,000 x 1,000 = $66.68. A 2.9% rise in the euro would put it behind For Traders, and a 6.6% fall would put it ahead of The5ers. g FTMO charges in euros: €319 x 1.1225 = $358.08, and $358.08 / $5,000 x 1,000 = $71.62. A 1.2% rise in the euro would put it behind Tradeify. Its 2-Step Challenge (€345, about $387.26, static floor, fee refunded with the first reward) works out at $77.45. h Lucid Trading’s plan card shows $146 for LucidFlex 50K while its store data lists $136; we rank on the higher card price. At $136 it would be $68.00, between BrightFunded and For Traders. i FXIFY’s FAQ and terms lists name no French territory, but its footer adds “including” and any jurisdiction where use would be against local law, so the list is open-ended. j My Funded Futures’ restricted countries policy names “France Metro (FX) Corsica & non-mainland islands only” while its KYC and AML list names no part of France. We read it the cautious way: mainland France open, Corsica and every French island closed. k Tradeify 247 sells crypto accounts only; it is ranked on the same measure but is not a substitute for a forex or futures account.
