We read the terms of 18 prop firms (12 forex/CFD, 6 futures) for one question: can you publish or sell your trade calls, or let other people copy your account, from a prop firm account? The honest answer is almost never. Only Darwinex Zero permits it in writing, and only through its own channel: once your DARWIN qualifies for DarwinIA GOLD, outside investors can follow it and you receive a 15% performance fee, for $50 a month with no loss limit. City Traders Imperium lets you “share and discuss trading ideas” (T&C 8.5.1) but bans group or coordinated trading, so being copied is not cleared; its 2-Step $100K costs $54.90 per $1,000 of loss room. The other 16 firms ban it in their own words, including Funding Traders (no signals “in any format”, plus a one-minute same-direction test), Hantec Trader (no commercial service to third parties), E8 Markets (no signal services) and Tradeify (no copying between you and any other person). Followers who trade your calls at the firm you use can get your account closed too.

Quick answer on prop firms that allow signal providers
Almost every prop firm bans letting other people copy your funded account, and the list that allows it is very short. Of the 18 firms we checked, one permits it in writing, one permits sharing ideas but not being copied, and 16 ban it. We have not padded the ranked list to make it look longer.
- Others can follow your strategy, in writing: Darwinex Zero, $50 a month. Investors follow your DARWIN on the firm’s own platform after DarwinIA GOLD; you keep a 15% performance fee.
- Post ideas, keep execution to yourself: City Traders Imperium 2-Step $100K, $549 one-time. Sharing and discussing ideas is allowed in writing; get written approval before anyone copies you.
- Show results without a feed: Topstep’s public Trader Profile or Tradeify’s trader card. Both firms still ban copying with other people.
- Follow others by hand: Take Profit Trader is the only firm whose policy says you may manually follow other traders.
No firm landed in a middle group of firms that are simply silent. Every firm that never names signals still has a coordinated-trading, personal-use or business-arrangement clause, and we read each unclear clause the strict way, quoting both readings in the firm’s section below.
Prop firm signal provider rules compared, checked October 4, 2026

Notes on this table: * the firm does not publish an activation fee, so the figure is the challenge fee alone and would rise if one is charged. † FTMO prices in euros; €499 is converted at the ECB rate of 1.1225 (October 2, 2026), and a 1% euro move shifts the figure by about 56 cents. ‡ one month of a monthly price (plus Take Profit Trader’s one-time $130 PRO fee); two months would double the monthly part, $95.00 for Topstep and $188.89 for Take Profit Trader. § the firm’s own pages leave the price open, so we use the higher figure: Funding Traders’ checkout regular price of $1,497 rather than the $999 homepage card ($49.95), and Lucid Trading’s configured $138 rather than the $108 base with the daily limit on ($54.00). Darwinex Zero has no loss limit, so it has no cost per $1,000.

Cost per $1,000 of loss room is the list price plus any activation fee, divided by the overall max-loss floor in dollars, times 1,000. For City Traders Imperium, $549 over a $10,000 floor (10% of $100,000) is $54.90. We never use a daily loss limit or a per-trade rule as the floor.
How we graded prop firms for signal providers

- Sources: each firm’s terms, prohibited-practices page and help-centre articles on copying, group trading, signals and account sharing, read October 4, 2026. Signal vendors, copier vendors and forums were never used as the source of a rule.
- Five questions per product: may you publish or sell your calls; may other people copy your account; can followers at the firm put your account at risk; may you use other people’s signals; may you share a read-only view of your results.
- Stage by stage: each answer is read for the evaluation, the funded stage and any live stage the firm runs.
- Groups: written permission on the funded stage ranks first; clauses that never mention the topic would have come next with a written answer from support required; bans are listed with quotes. Unclear clauses take the strict reading.
- Cost: inside a group, list price plus activation fee over the overall max-loss floor at $50,000 or the cheapest size on that measure, one product per firm. Promo codes never set a price.
A forced live move and a hidden Trustpilot rating are facts we show, never reasons to rank a firm lower. Forex and futures arms of one brand are separate products; FundedNext here means its forex and CFD line only.
The follower-collision problem for prop firm signal providers

Most signal providers think the risk sits with the follower. At a prop firm it often sits with you. Coordination rules are written about accounts that trade alike, and they rarely care who started it. If your followers buy the same accounts you do, your account is part of the pattern the firm is looking for.
A worked example at Funding Traders, one minute apart
Funding Traders’ terms, in force since September 1, 2026, let the firm deem users to coordinate “where several users trade the same instruments in the same direction within one minute of each other”, provided the accounts are not under the same verified profile. Suppose you post a long EURUSD call in a group chat and enter it on your 1-Step Pro account. A follower with their own Funding Traders account reads the message and buys EURUSD 40 seconds later. Two users, one instrument, one direction, inside a minute: both accounts match the test. Copying your trades to another trader’s account “is strictly prohibited and will result in termination of all your accounts.” That is your accounts, not only the follower’s. On a $200,000 1-Step Pro, the $1,497 fee and any pending payout are at stake on a single matched entry.
The firm has used this rule. A reply it posted on September 20, 2026 says “Due to the confirmed multi-account practices and coordinated trade execution, all linked profiles have been permanently discontinued and pending payouts forfeited.”
Lucid Trading’s dated bans, with no published test
Lucid Trading shows the same risk with less to go on. Its Terms ban trading “In concert with others, including between unconnected accounts and third parties, performing the same trading strategy”, and reviewers dated July to September 2026 describe permanent bans after emails saying “Cross-user coordinated trading activity was confirmed between your account and another linked user”. Lucid has not published how it decides two users are linked, so a provider cannot test their setup against it.
Darwinex Zero applies the same idea to correlation
Even the one firm that welcomes outside capital checks for it. Darwinex Zero’s DarwinIA rules say “Correlation with DARWINs from other users should be <0.95”; when two DARWINs are too alike, the one with the higher return over the period stays in and the other is excluded. If followers on Darwinex Zero mirror your trades, the DARWIN that survives may be theirs.
How prop firms detect signal and copy trading
Only three firms publish anything close to a test, and none publishes a full method. Here is what each kind of firm says it looks at:
- Timing windows: Funding Traders names one minute, same instrument, same direction. Funded Trading Plus says positions “do not need to have the exact same open and close times” and that overlapping same-direction trades on the same market may be flagged.
- Published indicators: Take Profit Trader lists six, including “Trade timing correlation”, “Strategy similarity” and “Device or infrastructure clustering”.
- Identical-trade patterns: FundedNext flags the same entry price, exit price, lot size, symbols or trade time across accounts, with the most weight when different people own them.
- Strategy and capital caps: FTMO counts identically traded strategies toward one $400,000 cap; E8 Markets limits each user to one strategy; Darwinex Zero tests correlation between DARWINs.
- Device, IP and login links: Hantec Trader can act on accounts linked by IP address, device ID or VPN; Blue Guardian monitors device activity and account associations.
- No test at all: Topstep, Apex Trader Funding, MyFundedFutures, Alpha Capital Group, The5ers and Lucid Trading publish none; Tradeify says it may decline to disclose its thresholds.
Two points follow. First, detection usually catches the leader as well as the follower, because the test compares accounts rather than asking who copied whom. Second, a follower who trades a few minutes after you is not safe at a firm that says timestamps need not match.
Evaluation, funded and live stages for signal providers
Competitor guides grade only the evaluation. For a signal provider, the funded stage is the one that matters, because that is where your followers’ money and your payouts meet. Here is where the rule changes:
- Same rule at every stage: most firms here apply one clause from the first evaluation to the funded account, so passing the challenge never loosens the rule.
- Stricter on live: Apex Trader Funding adds “Counter positions, hedging, and group trading are not permitted.” for its Live programme. Topstep, Lucid Trading, MyFundedFutures and Tradeify apply the same terms on their live stages.
- Different only by design: Darwinex Zero has no evaluation; investor money can follow your DARWIN only after it qualifies for DarwinIA GOLD.
- Not checked for the live stage: FundingPips Prime and Alpha Capital Group’s Alpha Prime have their own terms, and we did not find the signal question addressed for them.
- Forced moves: Topstep, Tradeify, MyFundedFutures and FundingPips move funded traders to a live or Prime account without a choice once selected; Apex pays decliners $3,000. A forced move closes the sim accounts your followers may be watching.
Darwinex Zero lets investors follow a signal provider’s strategy through its own platform
Ranked first, the only firm with written permission: Darwinex Zero is not a funded challenge. It is a $50 a month subscription to one virtual account whose results the firm turns into a DARWIN, an investable index. That model is the reason it is the one yes in this guide.
Video: “How Darwinex Zero Works,” Darwinex Zero official YouTube channel, January 19, 2026. Source type: vendor-produced. Why selected: Darwinex Zero’s own explainer of the DARWIN and allocation model behind the answer below; we found no official video on signals or copying.
The docs say that once a DARWIN qualifies for DarwinIA GOLD, “Darwinex will publish the DARWIN associated to your signal account in the Darwinex-Classic platform, at which point the DARWIN is open to investors.” From then on you receive a “15% performance fee on the return achieved from the funds invested by third-party investor clients”. That is other people’s capital following your strategy, in writing, on the funded stage.
- Publishing or selling your calls: no clause either way. The firm displays your results itself, and its terms grant it a licence to use your Signals; selling your own calls or a copier feed outside Darwinex is not addressed, so get a written answer first.
- Others copying you: allowed through Darwinex’s own investor platform after DarwinIA GOLD; not addressed for your own copier.
- Followers on Darwinex Zero: the terms say you “will not develop a Strategy that substantially replicates or is highly correlated with the Strategy of another User”, and the 0.95 correlation test keeps only one of two alike DARWINs.
- Using other people’s signals: banned when the signal comes from “a single commercial Expert Advisor (EA) or trading system sold to multiple Users”.
- What a breach costs: “Any Virtual Capital Allocation Payout generated in relation to such Strategy may be declared null and void”, the agreement can be terminated, and no refund is given.
- Cost: $50 a month (yearly $40 a month, three years $35 a month), all taxes included; the futures account is $56 a month with market data. There is no loss limit that ends the account, so there is no cost per $1,000 to compare.
- Choose it when: you want outside capital to follow your strategy through the firm’s own investor platform rather than running a signal group yourself.
- Watch out for: a clause that you “will not have any dealings with any such Regulated Entity Client” could, read strictly, reach a paid channel that includes Darwinex clients, and a follower who mirrors you on Darwinex Zero can push your DARWIN out of an allocation.
- Trustpilot: 4.2/5 on 387 reviews (read October 4, 2026). Darwinex Zero profile.
City Traders Imperium lets signal providers share ideas but not be copied
Publish calls only, not ranked: City Traders Imperium has the clearest written permission to talk about your trades of any firm here, and a separate ban that stops short of letting anyone copy them.
T&C 8.5.1 says “For the avoidance of doubt, the Client is allowed to share and discuss trading ideas with other traders; But must not directly or indirectly use other traders’ signals or ideas for executing trades on the demo account.” Against that, the prohibited-methods page lists “Group Trading or Coordinating trades with other traders.” and T&C 8.5 says “The Client agrees to not trade on one or multiple demo accounts in coordination with other traders.”
- Publishing or selling your calls: sharing and discussing ideas is allowed in writing at both demo stages. Selling a signal service or running a paid group is not addressed.
- Others copying you: the copy policy permits “CTI Master Account → Personal account with any broker” and copies to other prop firms’ accounts. One reading limits that to your own accounts, which is how the policy’s “ensure it’s you trading, not someone else” line reads; the other says it names account types with no owner test. We take the strict reading. The policy also says “If you’re unsure about a copy trading setup, please contact our support team and get approved before you start.”
- Followers at CTI: a coordination finding can reach “any and all Client’s accounts”. A firm reply dated February 5, 2026 cites near-identical entry and exit timestamps between two users’ accounts.
- Using other people’s signals: banned, “Utilising signal services or copy trading to replicate the trades of other traders.”
- What a breach costs: “misuse can result in losing your funded account, being permanently banned from our programs, or being denied future access.”
- Cost: $549 one-time for the 2-Step $100K with a $10,000 static floor (10% of $100,000), $54.90 per $1,000; the activation fee is not published. The $2,500 2-Step at $39 costs $156.00 per $1,000 on a $250 floor.
- Choose it when: you post analysis or ideas publicly and keep execution on your own accounts.
- Watch out for: followers who also trade at CTI and mirror your entries can put every account you hold at risk under the group-trading ban.
- Trustpilot: 4.2/5 on 1,627 reviews (read October 4, 2026). City Traders Imperium profile, payouts.
Prop firms that ban signal providers, in their own words
These 16 firms ban letting other traders copy you, ban signal services, or have a coordination clause that reads strictly as a ban. They are listed in the table order, cheapest first on cost per $1,000, which is context only: none is ranked.
Blue Guardian lets you copy only to accounts you legally own
Blue Guardian is the cheapest product here on our cost measure, at $460 for a $200,000 2 Step Nano with a $20,000 static floor (10% of $200,000), and it is also one of the plainest about copying. You may mirror your Blue Guardian trades to your own outside accounts; nobody else’s account may be on the other end.
What the terms say: “Copy Trading: Allowed only between accounts legally owned by you”, and the same page lists “Using trade copiers with accounts not legally owned by you” under Not Allowed. Publishing calls has no clause of its own, but the Nano rules say a VPN or VPS cannot be used “to bypass rules related to copy trading, group trading, or signal trading”, which tells you the firm treats signal trading as something its rules restrict. We read that the strict way.
If your followers trade there: No timing or correlation test is published. The firm says its systems watch “device activity, login behavior and account associations” and that some breaches surface only in a manual review at payout.
What a breach costs: On the funded
