We checked 18 prop firms’ own rules against three fixed sessions, 08:00 to 17:00 in Tokyo, London and New York, and counted the minutes each product blocks inside each one. Best for the Asian and London sessions: Topstep’s no-activation Trading Combine 50K, open from start to finish at $47.50 per $1,000 of loss room. Best for New York: E8 Pro 10% static, $49.80, the cheapest product that blocks nothing in any of the three windows. The trap no session guide names is where the firm’s day ends in your clock: Fintokei’s midnight UTC lands at 09:00 Tokyo, and FundingPips’ and Alpha Capital Group’s fixed UTC+3 day ends at 16:00 New York from November. Six of the 17 ranked listings block minutes around the 08:30 New York releases, five of the seven ranked futures listings have no European index contract, and every futures firm closes you out before the New York close.

Freshness: rules, prices and session fields checked October 6 to 7, 2026 on each firm’s own pages; every session field was re-read on October 7, 2026. Firms change terms without notice; re-check before you buy. Each Trustpilot figure carries the date we read it.

Quick picks among the best prop firms for each trading session
- Best for the Asian session: Topstep Trading Combine 50K, no-activation path. Band A, $47.50 per $1,000, CME yen, Aussie and Nikkei futures, no news window. Forex alternative: E8 Pro 10% static ($49.80).
- Best for the London session: Topstep again ($47.50), with currency futures only. For DAX and Euro Stoxx futures, The Trading Pit Futures Prime 50K ($49.50, Band A).
- Best for the New York session: E8 Pro 10% static ($49.80). For futures to the bell, Apex 50K EOD Trail, the only futures product that blocks nothing in New York, at $359.50.
- Holding a trade from one session into the next: E8 Pro or Alpha Swing (no daily close, weekend holds, balance-based day). Among futures, a Topstep, Tradeify or Apex day runs from the evening reopen to the next afternoon, so a Tokyo trade can run into London.
- Cheapest Band A overall: Topstep at $47.50 (Asian and London). Cheapest that is Band A in all three sessions: E8 Pro at $49.80. The cheapest product of all, FundingPips 1 Step Flex at $44.83, cuts into every session.
Why the answer changes by session: the same product can be open from start to finish in one window and cut into in the next. Topstep is first in Tokyo and London hours and ninth in New York, because its 3:10 PM CT flat-by falls inside the New York afternoon; Fintokei ranks a different product in the Asian table because its day boundary lands at 09:00 Tokyo.
Best prop firms for the Asian session, ranked
Tokyo hours, 08:00 to 17:00 Tokyo (23:00 to 08:00 UTC). Two reference releases fall inside: Australian data at 09:30 Tokyo and the RBA decision at 12:30 Tokyo. One product per firm, the one in the best band for this session, then the cheapest.

| 17. MyFundedFutures Builder 50K | Futures | 8¶ | 07:00 / 08:00, outside the session | Nikkei (NKD) | $76.50 | Its two news texts conflict |
Notes on this ranking: Rows sort by band, then cost per $1,000 of loss room, then fewer blocked minutes, then lower list price; no two rows tie. Every one of the 17 checked listings passes this session’s test, so no checked product failed it and none is left off. ¶ MyFundedFutures’ Builder guide allows news trading without limits, while its firm-wide news protocol bars positions and orders 2 minutes either side of any data release. We use the stricter text. On the guide’s reading the minutes are 0, 0 and 50, and Builder still sits in Band B, because the firm publishes no time or base for when its $1,000 daily pause lifts. # Funded Trading Plus is in Band A on its risk policy’s “We allow news trading”; the news policy page linked from its product card returned Page not found on October 7, 2026. Read as an unpublished rule it would drop to Band B: last in the Asian table, and between MyFundedFutures and TradeDay in London and New York. △ FundingPips and Alpha Capital Group write their day boundary as UTC+3 and GMT+3 with no winter offset. Read as fixed, the day ends at 17:00 New York on October 14 and 16:00 on November 11. FundingPips measures it on the higher of balance or equity, so its New York row is Band B for that reason alone; Alpha Swing is balance-based and stays in Band A. † TradeDay’s own page gives two floors for its Funded Live stage, the same $2,000 end-of-day drawdown as the evaluation and a worked example of $1,500. We use $1,500 ($126.00); on $2,000 the figure is $94.50, which would move it from 11th to 10th in the Asian table and change nothing in London or New York. ‡ FTMO prices in euros: €319 at the ECB reference rate of 1.1225 on October 2, 2026 is $358.08. ° No activation fee is published for Fintokei, FundedNext, FundingPips and The Trading Pit, so their figures are the price alone; we do not assume the fee is $0.
Best prop firms for the London session, ranked
London hours, 08:00 to 17:00 London. Four reference releases fall inside: the BoE at 12:00, the ECB at 13:15, US data at 13:30 and US data at 15:00 London. Every ranked futures firm lists euro and pound futures; only two list a European index.

Notes on this ranking: Rows sort by band, then cost per $1,000 of loss room, then fewer blocked minutes, then lower list price; no two rows tie. Every one of the 17 checked listings passes this session’s test, so no checked product failed it and none is left off. ¶ MyFundedFutures: ranked on the stricter of its two news texts, as explained under the Asian table; on the Builder guide’s reading it still sits in Band B. # Funded Trading Plus: Band A on its risk policy’s “We allow news trading”, because its card’s news policy link returned Page not found on October 7, 2026; in Band B it would sit between MyFundedFutures and TradeDay here. △ FundingPips and Alpha Capital Group: fixed UTC+3 read strictly, so the day ends at 17:00 New York on October 14 and 16:00 on November 11. † TradeDay: ranked on the $1,500 Funded Live floor; on $2,000 it is $94.50 and its place here does not change. ‡ FTMO: €319 at the ECB rate of 1.1225 on October 2, 2026. ° No activation fee is published for Fintokei, FundedNext, FundingPips and The Trading Pit, so their figures are the price alone; we do not assume the fee is $0. Lucid Trading, MyFundedFutures and Alpha Futures write their times as EST all year; we read them as New York time, and the figures are the same under a literal EST reading.
Best prop firms for the New York session, ranked
New York hours, 08:00 to 17:00 New York. Four reference releases fall inside: the ECB at 08:15, US data at 08:30 and 10:00, and the FOMC at 14:00. This is where futures flat-by times bite, which is why a forex product leads.

Every one of the 17 checked listings passes this session’s test, so no checked product failed it and none is left off. * Topstep’s 52 New York minutes start at 3:08 PM CT, when it says Risk Managers begin flattening; on the 3:10 PM CT flat-by alone the figure is 50. The band and rank are the same either way. § The Trading Pit’s 65 New York minutes use its page that force-closes Futures Prime at 14:55 CT. Its trading-hours page says only that the system liquidates 5 minutes before the close; on that wording the figure is 0 and Futures Prime would be Band A and first in New York. How we ranked prop firms for Asian, London and New York session traders

- Three fixed windows: 08:00 to 17:00 in Tokyo (Asian), London and New York, on a normal weekday.
- Two reference days: Wednesday, October 14, 2026 and Wednesday, November 11, 2026, either side of the daylight-saving changes. Every firm time is converted to the three clocks on both days; where the two differ, the table shows the larger figure.
- Seven reference releases: Australian data at 11:30 Sydney, the RBA at 14:30 Sydney, the BoE at 12:00 London, the ECB at 14:15 Frankfurt, US data at 08:30 and 10:00 New York, and the FOMC at 14:00 New York.
- The test: the product is on sale today, lists at least one home-market pair, index or contract for the session, its own hours rules leave more than half the window open, and it carries no finding we grade as severe.
- The rank: Band A (open from start to finish: 0 blocked minutes and no equity-based reset inside the window) before Band B (firm rules cut into the session); then cost per $1,000 of loss room, then fewer blocked minutes, then lower list price. Ties share a rank.
Minutes blocked in a session = minutes between a firm’s flat-by or no-new-trades time and the earlier of the window’s end and the market’s own close (a cutoff within 5 minutes of the close counts 0) + the funded-stage news windows around each reference release inside the window, overlapping windows merged once and clipped to the window.
Cost per $1,000 of loss room = (list price of one $50K attempt, first month for monthly products, + activation fee) ÷ overall maximum-loss floor at its smallest stage × 1,000
Worked example, New York: TradeDay auto-liquidates 2 minutes either side of the 08:30 data (4 minutes) and the 14:00 FOMC (4 minutes), and at 3:50 PM CT, which is 16:50 New York, 10 minutes before the CME close: 18 minutes. FundingPips blocks 5 minutes either side of the ECB at 08:15 and the US data at 08:30 (08:10 to 08:20 and 08:25 to 08:35, which do not overlap), 10:00 and 14:00 (40 minutes), plus its 16:45 auto-close (15): 55. Minutes are counted for a trader holding an instrument the release moves; a trader in an index the firm does not target loses fewer. The figure is a worst reference day, with every release in the window falling on the same day, and it is an illustration of each firm’s rules, not a forecast of anyone’s results. Evaluation-stage news rules are shown in the news table but never counted. Where a firm’s own pages disagree we use the stricter reading and mark it; a fee a firm does not publish is never treated as $0, and list prices set the rank. Full method: how we rank.
The Asian, London and New York sessions in your clock as a prop trader

Every time below is computed with each city’s own daylight-saving rules for 2026: Australia moved its clocks on October 4, the UK and the EU move on October 25, the US moves on November 1, and Japan does not change. A cell with two times reads October 14 / November 11.
| Window | Tokyo | London | New York | UTC |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Asian session | 08:00 to 17:00 | 00:00 to 09:00 / 23:00 to 08:00 | 19:00 to 04:00 / 18:00 to 03:00 | 23:00 to 08:00 |
| London session | 16:00 to 01:00 / 17:00 to 02:00 | 08:00 to 17:00 | 03:00 to 12:00 | 07:00 to 16:00 / 08:00 to 17:00 |
| New York session | 21:00 to 06:00 / 22:00 to 07:00 | 13:00 to 22:00 | 08:00 to 17:00 | 12:00 to 21:00 / 13:00 to 22:00 |
- London and New York overlap for four hours on both reference days, 08:00 to 12:00 New York and 13:00 to 17:00 London. That stretch holds the ECB decision, the US 08:30 and 10:00 data, and most futures traders’ busiest hours.
- Tokyo and London overlap for one hour in October (08:00 to 09:00 London, 16:00 to 17:00 Tokyo) and not at all in November, once the UK falls back.
- The odd week: from October 25 to November 1, London is on winter time while New York is still on summer time, so the gap between them is 4 hours instead of 5. A firm time written in New York time moves an hour in London that week, and back again after November 1.
- Sydney’s session is the fourth of the forex sessions people talk about; Australia’s data at 11:30 Sydney already falls inside the Tokyo window at 09:30 Tokyo after the October 4 change, which is why we count it there.
The reference releases, converted the same way. UK data at 07:00 London comes before the London window, and the Bank of Japan publishes no fixed announcement time, so neither is counted.
| Reference release | Local time | Tokyo | London | New York | Window it falls in |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Australian data (jobs, CPI) | 11:30 Sydney | 09:30 | 01:30 / 00:30 | 20:30 / 19:30 | Asian |
| RBA rate decision | 14:30 Sydney | 12:30 | 04:30 / 03:30 | 23:30 / 22:30 | Asian |
| BoE rate decision | 12:00 London | 20:00 / 21:00 | 12:00 | 07:00 | London |

Our best prop firms for traders in Asia guide covers which firms accept traders from Asian countries; this guide covers what each firm’s rules do to the hours you trade.
Which pairs and indices each session moves at prop firms
Where the money trades is published: the Bank for International Settlements’ Triennial Central Bank Survey for 2025 (daily averages in April 2025, adjusted for local double-counting) puts foreign exchange turnover at $4.75 trillion a day traded in the United Kingdom, $2.33 trillion in the United States, $1.49 trillion in Singapore, $0.88 trillion in Hong Kong and $0.44 trillion in Japan. The country figures are adjusted only for local double-counting, so they add up to more than the $9.60 trillion global total. By currency, the US dollar is on one side of $8.56 trillion, the euro of $2.77 trillion, the yen of $1.61 trillion, the pound of $0.98 trillion and the Australian dollar of $0.58 trillion (each trade counts two currencies). Those are facts about where and in what volume currencies change hands, not a forecast of which pair will move or a recommendation to trade it.
- Asian session: yen, Australian and New Zealand dollar pairs and the Asian indices. Every ranked forex listing names yen and Aussie pairs except The5ers, whose public asset page lists forex only as a group; JP225 or JPN225 appears on all of them except Alpha Capital Group and Funded Trading Plus, which publish no index tickers; HK50 (or its own name for the Hang Seng) on FundedNext, Fintokei, For Traders, FTMO and The Trading Pit; AUS200 on the same five plus E8 as ASX200. All seven ranked futures listings carry CME yen and Aussie futures and the CME Nikkei (NKD).
- London session: euro and pound pairs and the European indices. GER40 or its equivalent is on every ranked forex list that publishes index tickers; UK100 is missing from E8; the Euro Stoxx 50 is on FundingPips, FundedNext, Fintokei, For Traders, FTMO and The Trading Pit. Among futures, only The Trading Pit Futures and Tradeify list Eurex index futures, each behind paid data.
- New York session: US dollar pairs and the US indices, which every ranked listing carries, either as CFDs (US30, US100 or NAS100, US500 or SPX500) or as CME futures (ES, NQ, YM, RTY and micros).
