We checked 17 prop firms for giveaways and free account promotions on their own sites, and none had a giveaway that was both open on October 4, 2026 and fully ruled. We scored the 12 firms that mention giveaways on nine published-terms checks: Funded Trading Plus leads with 6 of 9 (a real terms page, random draw, no purchase needed) but had no live promotion; AquaFutures, Alpha Capital Group and FundingPips score 5; City Traders Imperium 4 (Halloween draw October 23 to November 1, terms page not live yet); FXIFY and Tradeify 3; Phidias, TradeDay, Blue Guardian, Funded Futures Family and Goat Funded Trader 1. The only named funded prize is FundingPips’ $1K Instant account (profit to first withdrawal 1,000 per $1,000 of loss room, 50% split paid half as credit); Tradeify’s $150K Growth drawing works out at 3,100 if it is an evaluation. Won accounts often lose features: no fee refund (City Traders Imperium), no reset (Goat Funded Trader), no scaling (Alpha Capital Group), a monthly fee after 30 days (AquaFutures). Never pay, connect a wallet or answer a DM to claim a prize.

Freshness: firm pages checked October 4, 2026. Giveaways open and close without notice; re-check the firm’s own page before you enter. Each Trustpilot figure carries the date we read it.

Are prop firm giveaways legit, the short answer

Some are, but you cannot tell from the giveaway post. A legitimate prop firm giveaway is run by the firm and written down on the firm’s own site: who can enter, how, what the prize account is, how winners are picked and when. Of the 17 firms we checked, 12 mention giveaways on their own site or help centre. Not one had an open giveaway with all of that published on October 4, 2026, so this guide does not rank prizes. It ranks how much each firm actually puts in writing, and shows what the prize is worth where the firm names it.

  • Fullest giveaway terms: Funded Trading Plus, 6 of 9. Random draw by a third-party generator, no purchase needed, 30 countries barred. No promotion was live.
  • Best named prize: FundingPips 1K Instant, a funded account with no evaluation. 1,000 per $1,000 of loss room; runs periodically.
  • Open entry forms today: AquaFutures, FXIFY, Tradeify, Phidias and TradeDay. None publishes a draw date and a named prize together.
  • Next dated window: City Traders Imperium, October 23 to November 1, 2026. Wait for its terms page.

Best terms score
  1. Sources: each firm’s own giveaway page, popup text, help-centre articles and terms, read October 4, 2026. Giveaway hubs, listing sites and social posts are never a source.
  2. The test: a giveaway passes when the firm runs it, it costs $0 with no purchase, the prize and its rules are published, and it is open today or has a dated past round on the firm’s own site. None passed.
  3. Terms score: one point for each of nine published items (listed below). Firms are ordered by score; ties go to a firm whose entry form is live today, then alphabetically.
  4. Prize value: where the firm names the prize product, we show profit to first withdrawal per $1,000 of loss room: the profit needed before the first payout request, divided by the overall loss allowance in thousands. Lower is closer to cash.
  5. Won vs paid: we quote every rule the firm publishes that treats a giveaway account differently from the paid account of the same kind.

A score is about paperwork, not about whether a firm is good to trade with. A firm with a low score may still run honest giveaways; it simply does not publish enough for you to check one before you hand over your email.

How to tell an official prop firm giveaway, nine checks

Is a free prop firm challenge giveaway legit: a gift box whose tag reads Official terms, under a magnifying glass, beside a three-tick checklist
Official or not: the terms on the firm’s own site decide, not the giveaway post.

These are the nine items we scored. A real giveaway does not need all nine, but every missing item is something you are taking on trust.

  1. Terms on the firm’s own site. A rules page or help article on the firm’s own domain that covers this giveaway. A social post, a Discord message or a listing site is not terms.
  2. Entry method stated. How you enter: an email form, a dashboard button, a course, a game. If the only route is a DM or a link from someone else, stop.
  3. No-purchase line stated. A written line such as Funded Trading Plus’ “No purchase or payment is required to enter or win any Promotion.”
  4. Eligibility and countries stated. Age, one-entry rule and the countries barred from claiming. AquaFutures’ list blocks winners in 62 countries; a prize you cannot claim is not a prize.
  5. Prize product and size named. The exact account (product, size, evaluation or funded), not just a dollar headline. Only FundingPips and Tradeify name both in this group.
  6. Winner method stated. Random draw, first come or judged, and how winners are told. Funded Trading Plus names a third-party winner generator; most firms say nothing.
  7. Dates stated. Open and close dates, or at least a draw day. City Traders Imperium’s Halloween dates are the only upcoming dated window we found, and its terms page was not up.
  8. Prize-account rule changes published. What the won account loses against the paid one: fee refunds, resets, scaling, platform moves, payout days. Eight of the twelve firms publish at least one such rule.
  9. Impersonation warning published. A firm statement that names its only official site or channels. City Traders Imperium is the only firm in this group that has one.

For a sense of what complete rules look like, Tradeify’s February 2026 signed-gloves giveaway (merchandise, not an account) carried every line the account drawing lacks: “No purchase necessary”, “One entry per person”, “Must be 18+ years old”, “Winners randomly selected from all eligible entries” and “Restricted countries apply.” The same firm’s $150K account drawing publishes none of those.

Prop firm giveaways with a page or popup on the firm’s own site

Nine firms show a giveaway on their own site or help centre. They are ordered by terms score, open forms first on ties. Each block lists what the firm publishes, what the prize is, how the won account differs from a paid one, and what to check before you enter.

Funded Trading Plus publishes the fullest giveaway terms, but no promotion is live

Funded Trading Plus is the only firm here with a standing giveaway terms page that reads like real sweepstakes rules: “No purchase or payment is required to enter or win any Promotion. A purchase will not increase your chances of winning.” Winners are “selected at random using a third-party independent winner generator”, notified by email, and replaced if they do not answer within 7 days. The catch is that the page is a rulebook with nothing to enter: the terms say “Specific entry criteria are detailed on each individual Promotion’s landing page”, and on October 4, 2026 we found no such landing page, no prize size and no dated past round on fundedtradingplus.com.

  • What it publishes: A Giveaways and Promotions terms page: one entry per participant, 18 and over, a 30-country residency ban, random draw by a third-party generator, email notice and a 7-day reply window.
  • The prize: Digital coupons, not accounts and not cash: “Coupons have no cash value and cannot be exchanged or redeemed for money.” The program and size a coupon buys are not named, so a coupon for the 1-Step or 2-Step still has to pass an evaluation. No profit-per-$1,000 figure is shown because no program is named.
  • Won account vs paid account: Coupons “are non-transferable and may not be substituted, resold, or exchanged for other goods or services”. The terms do not say whether the redeemed program follows the paid rules. For scale, the 2-Step Classic at $50,000 lists at $319 one-time.
  • Terms score: 6 of 9. Published: terms on the firm’s own site, entry method stated, no-purchase line stated, eligibility and countries stated, winner method stated, prize-account rule changes published. Missing: prize product and size named, dates stated, impersonation warning published.
  • Open on October 4, 2026: No. The terms page is standing, but no Promotion page was live.
  • Before you enter: Enter only through a dated Promotion page on fundedtradingplus.com. The terms also cover promotions run by “one of our official partners”, but no partner list is published, so a partner draw cannot be checked against the firm.
  • Trustpilot: rating not shown, 2,668 reviews, read October 3, 2026. BestProps pages: Funded Trading Plus profile, deals.

AquaFutures runs a $1.2 million sign-up with written rules and a monthly fee after 30 days

The futures page invites you to “Sign up now to enter into our yearly $1.2 Million Giveaway!” The sign-up names no prize sizes, draw date or window. What AquaFutures does publish is a help-centre article that governs every giveaway “unless specifically mentioned otherwise”, and it is more useful than the banner: winners are “selected randomly (unless otherwise specified)”, prizes are evaluations you still have to pass, and the free part ends after 30 days.

  • What it publishes: A generic giveaway article on its help centre (random winners, one giveaway per customer per 30 days, a 62-country list that blocks winners and hosts) and a homepage sign-up with no dates.
  • The prize: An evaluation: “Once you reach the profit target on your evaluation”, the account is reviewed and upgraded to funded with no activation fee. The article and the $1.2 million banner name no product or size, so no profit-per-$1,000 figure is shown.
  • Won account vs paid account: “If the challenge is not successfully completed within the free 30-day period, a monthly access fee will be charged for continued use in subsequent months.” You must file a payment method when you claim. Paid futures accounts on the same page are one-time purchases (the Flex 50K lists at $172, refundable) with no time limit.
  • Terms score: 5 of 9. Published: terms on the firm’s own site, entry method stated, eligibility and countries stated, winner method stated, prize-account rule changes published. Missing: no-purchase line stated, prize product and size named, dates stated, impersonation warning published.
  • Open on October 4, 2026: The sign-up form is live; no start, end or draw date is given.
  • Before you enter: Enter only if you can realistically pass inside 30 days, and check the 62-country list first, because winners who live in a listed country cannot claim the account.
  • Trustpilot: rating not shown, 651 reviews, read October 3, 2026. BestProps pages: cheapest futures prop firms.

Alpha Capital Group documents two December giveaways that strip scaling and merging

Alpha Capital Group keeps a help article called Free 5k account promo rules that covers two past rounds, December 2023 and December 2024. The 2024 round drew free accounts daily for traders who signed up through its giveaway link, and also handed every buyer a giftable $5K code. No round is open now, no December 2025 round is listed, and the drawn account model was never fixed: “The account model awarded will vary each day and cannot be changed.”

  • What it publishes: One help article with dated rounds, a one-entry-per-email rule, a random daily draw (2024) and the rules that apply to free accounts.
  • The prize: A free $5,000 evaluation: the 2023 round calls it “the free 5k (virtual funds) account evaluation”. The 2024 code was “valued at $50”. Profit targets are not given for either round, so no profit-per-$1,000 figure is shown.
  • Won account vs paid account: “Please be aware that free accounts do not qualify for participation in our scaling plan and are also ineligible for account merging.” Free accounts also expire: “If the account expires after 30 days, it will not be eligible for reinstatement.” A separate article adds “Reinstatements due to inactivity are not offered for giveaway accounts under any circumstances.”
  • Terms score: 5 of 9. Published: terms on the firm’s own site, entry method stated, winner method stated, dates stated, prize-account rule changes published. Missing: no-purchase line stated, eligibility and countries stated, prize product and size named, impersonation warning published.
  • Open on October 4, 2026: No. The last listed round was December 2024.
  • Before you enter: Treat any Alpha Capital Group giveaway outside December as unconfirmed until the help article lists the round. The paid Alpha Pro 5K 6% lists at $30, so the prize saves about that much.
  • Trustpilot: rating not shown, 21,823 reviews, read October 3, 2026. BestProps pages: Alpha Capital Group profile, payouts.

FundingPips’ 1K Instant is the only named funded prize, paid half in credit

FundingPips publishes the most complete prize rules of any firm here, for an account you cannot buy: “The 1K Instant Account is a giveaway-only $1K Master Account that skips the evaluation entirely.” Allocation is “limited to the first 20,000 accounts, allocated first-come, first-served”. What the article does not give is a date. It says the giveaway is “offered periodically by FundingPips” and that entry rules are announced each time, so on October 4, 2026 there was nothing to enter on its own site.

Video: a short announcing it is “giving away 20k x $1k Instant Accounts”, FundingPips official YouTube channel, May 17, 2026. Source type: firm-produced. Why selected: the firm’s own announcement of the 1K Instant round it ran in May 2026, the same account the help article describes.

  • What it publishes: A full help article on the prize account: no evaluation, no minimum days, no time limit, a 5% static floor, US excluded, MT5 only, and looser rules on news and EAs.
  • The prize: A funded account with no pass step. Profit to first withdrawal per $1,000 of loss room: 1,000 ($50 payout minimum against a $50 static floor). At the minimum request, a $50 profit pays a $25 reward, and in Tradin-supported countries half of that ($12.50) arrives as credit you cannot withdraw.
  • Won account vs paid account: “Your 50% reward splits 50/50: 25% cash and 25% Tradin Credit (Tradin-supported countries).” The paid Zero account pays 95% biweekly. A breach gets no reset: “A breached 1K Instant Account does not trigger a reset option.” Crypto is excluded, hedging closes the account, and there is a 20-lot cap per trade. On the looser side, the account allows news trading, weekend holds and third-party EAs.
  • Terms score: 5 of 9. Published: terms on the firm’s own site, eligibility and countries stated, prize product and size named, winner method stated, prize-account rule changes published. Missing: entry method stated, no-purchase line stated, dates stated, impersonation warning published.
  • Open on October 4, 2026: No. The article says rounds are announced when they run.
  • Before you enter: Watch the FundingPips dashboard and its official channels for the next round; a page off fundingpips.com promising a 1K Instant account is not covered by these rules.
  • Trustpilot: 4.5/5 on 69,779 reviews, read October 3, 2026. BestProps pages: FundingPips profile, rules.

City Traders Imperium has announced a Halloween draw whose terms page is not up yet

The code for a Halloween Special 2026 popup already sits in City Traders Imperium’s pages: “16 stones, one pick each. Everyone wins a prize, and 21 traders win a free 2-Step Challenge worth up to $100K.” It is hidden from visitors until October 19, the game runs October 23 to November 1, and the linked terms page returned a 404 on October 4, 2026. CTI is also the only firm in this group with a standing impersonation line on every page.

  • What it publishes: An announced window, a one-pick-per-person rule, a footer warning about impersonators, and help-centre rules for giveaway accounts. The promotion’s own terms page was not live.
  • The prize: An evaluation: the 2-Step Challenge “consists of 2 Phases, which you must pass to qualify for funding”. Profit to first withdrawal per $1,000 of loss room on the standard 2-Step rules: 1,700 ($10,000 + $5,000 targets + a $2,000 first-payout minimum, against a $10,000 static floor at $100K). The ratio is the same at every size from $5K to $100K.
  • Won account vs paid account: The paid 2-Step refunds the fee at the first 10% funded target; “Giveaway accounts are not eligible for a refund.” Selling one is banned outright: the prohibited list includes “Selling your account or giveaway account to another person.”
  • Terms score: 4 of 9. Published: entry method stated, dates stated, prize-account rule changes published, impersonation warning published. Missing: terms on the firm’s own site, no-purchase line stated, eligibility and countries stated, prize product and size named, winner method stated.
  • Open on October 4, 2026: No. The game opens October 23, 2026 and closes November 1.
  • Before you enter: Wait for the terms page to go live before picking a stone, and check whether a pick needs a login or a purchase. The paid $100K 2-Step lists at $549 one-time.
  • Trustpilot: 4.2/5 on 1,627 reviews, read October 2, 2026. BestProps pages: City Traders Imperium profile, deals.

FXIFY’s $1 million form names no prize, and its free course account costs $10

FXIFY runs two different free offers, and only one of them is free. The giveaway page says “You could be one of the eighteen(18) lucky winners to get an FXIFY™ challenge!” with a name-and-email form, but it gives no dates, no program, no size and no winner method. The course route is the opposite: fully documented, but the $1,000 account needs a payment, “*$10 activation fee applies to the $1k instant funding account once per client”.

  • What it publishes: A giveaway page with an entry form and the site’s restricted-jurisdictions list (35 places, the US among them). The course account has full FAQ rules.
  • The prize: Giveaway: “an FXIFY™ challenge”, an evaluation, program and size not named, so no figure is shown. Course account (not free, $10): profit to first withdrawal per $1,000 of loss room 1,666.67 on the conservative reading ($100 of profit for a $50 share at 50/50, against a $60 trailing floor), 833.33 if the $50 minimum is gross.
  • Won account vs paid account: Nothing is published for the giveaway prize. The $10 course account differs from the paid $1K Instant Funding Standard ($69): “The performance split for the Educational Instant Funding account is 50/50.” “There are no resets or retries on this program, you get one try after activation.” Its trailing floor is 6% against 8% on the paid account.
  • Terms score: 3 of 9. Published: entry method stated, no-purchase line stated, eligibility and countries stated. Missing: terms on the firm’s own site, prize product and size named, winner method stated, dates stated, prize-account rule changes published, impersonation warning published.
  • Open on October 4, 2026: The form is live; no dates are given.
  • Before you enter: Treat the course account as a $10 purchase, not a giveaway. For the $1 million draw, wait until FXIFY names the program and dates on fxify.com.
  • Trustpilot: 4.3/5 on 6,374 reviews, read October 3, 2026. BestProps pages: FXIFY profile, rules.

Tradeify’s monthly $150K Growth drawing has an entry form but no published rules

Tradeify’s homepage popup asks “Do you want a chance to Win a $150k Growth Account?” and, after you enter an email, says “Winners announced every 30th of the month.” On October 4, 2026 the form was live but its date line still read “Winner announced on 30th September”, four days after that date, and no rules page, eligibility clause or winner list sits behind it. Tradeify has run a fully ruled giveaway before: its signed-gloves page in February 2026 carried no-purchase, one-entry, 18+ and random-draw lines, which shows what the account drawing is missing.

Video: a short announcing “50 x $50K Growth Accounts” with 50 winners, Tradeify official YouTube channel, December 18, 2025. Source type: firm-produced. Why selected: the firm’s own clip of its December 2025 Advent giveaway of 50 Growth accounts; it is history, not the current $150K drawing.

  • What it publishes: An email entry form with a monthly announcement day. Free resets come only through its TradeifyTV giveaways, per the reset help article; Rewards Center giveaway codes are covered separately in its help centre.
  • The prize: “$150k Growth Account”. Tradeify sells Growth as an evaluation, but the popup does not say which stage the prize is. Profit to first withdrawal per $1,000 of loss room on the standard Growth 150K rules: 3,100 if it is the evaluation ($9,000 target + $6,500 to reach the $156,500 funded payout balance, against a $5,000 end-of-day trailing floor), 1,300 if it is a funded account.
  • Won account vs paid account: Not published: no rule for the prize account is stated anywhere. The paid Growth 150K evaluation lists at $369 one-time with no activation fee.
  • Terms score: 3 of 9. Published: entry method stated, prize product and size named, dates stated. Missing: terms on the firm’s own site, no-purchase line stated, eligibility and countries stated, winner method stated, prize-account rule changes published, impersonation warning published.
  • Open on October 4, 2026: The form is live; the date line still shows September 30.
  • Before you enter: Enter knowing you are joining a marketing list with no published odds, eligibility
