Editorial standard

BestProps compares prop firms with clear sourcing, visible update discipline, and a hard line between verified facts, public chatter, and BestProps analysis.

Official sources first
Firm rules, terms, payout pages, dashboards, and public statements carry the most weight.
Chatter is labeled
Trader reports and public discussion are useful signals, not proof by themselves.
Corrections matter
Corrections with clear sources and firm responses can update coverage.

Editorial Mission

BestProps helps traders compare prop firms with clear sourcing, update discipline, and visible separation between verified facts, public chatter, and BestProps analysis.

We prioritize accuracy, source visibility, and usefulness over promotional claims. We distinguish official firm information from trader reports and public discussion, and we update pages when better evidence becomes available.

Source Hierarchy

  1. Official firm sources: firm websites, rules pages, help centers, terms, payout pages, dashboards, and public statements.
  2. Direct firm responses: responses submitted to BestProps with usable source support.
  3. Public discussion: publicly accessible review platforms, social posts, forums, and community discussion.
  4. BestProps analysis: editorial analysis based on collected evidence.

Public chatter is not treated as proof. Time-sensitive information should include a last-checked date whenever practical. Claims based on public discussion should be labeled as reports, claims, allegations, or public chatter.

Review and Update Process

  • Collect source URLs and timestamps.
  • Check whether the item is factual, interpretive, promotional, or high-risk.
  • Apply the relevant guardrails for rules, payouts, deals, and social chatter.
  • Use additional editorial review when BestProps policy requires it.
  • Release content only when it meets the applicable editorial and sourcing requirements.

Corrections and Firm Responses

BestProps should maintain a visible corrections contact path and review credible correction requests that include source URLs or documentation. Material published changes should receive a correction or update note when appropriate.

Serious firm-level allegations, payout denial or delay patterns, fraud/scam chatter, insolvency chatter, ownership disputes, or material rule-enforcement accusations should trigger a right-of-response process when practical. BestProps should contact the firm through the best available official channel, allow a practical response period such as 7 business days unless the item is urgent or already public through official sources, and summarize or link relevant firm responses with clear sources near the claim when publishable. A lack of response should not be treated as evidence of wrongdoing.

Individual Names and Sensitive Claims

BestProps should not name individual people in wrongdoing contexts unless there is explicit human approval and strong sourcing. Individual names are normally redacted to role, such as “a company executive” or “a support representative,” when discussing serious allegations.

Independence and Commercial Relationships

This page currently has no signup links, paid placements, sponsored rows, or monetized routing. If a commercial relationship is added later, it should be labeled near the relevant link, offer, or placement and it cannot buy rankings, claims, or positive coverage. See Affiliate Disclosure.
