What Can Trip You Up
At A Glance
Rows To Inspect First
These cards flag visible rule friction in the checked official sources.
Daily loss reset
The 3% daily loss is recalculated from balance at 00:30 UTC. Open positions count through equity when testing a breach.
Static drawdown by plan
Classic, Pro, and Turbo use different static maximum drawdown room. Do not apply one plan’s cushion to another.
Hedging and strategy conduct
Single-account hedging is conditional. Cross-account and cross-trader hedging are prohibited in the checked program rules.
Breakout Prop Official Rule Rows
| Rule area | Official-source snapshot | What to verify + evidence |
|---|---|---|
| Evaluation paths | Breakout lists 1-Step Classic, 1-Step Pro, and 1-Step Turbo rows in the checked program rules. Pro and Turbo include account sizes up to $200,000 in the scraped table. | Verify the exact plan and account size in the dashboard before applying a target, drawdown, or fee value.Source evidenceProgram Rules, checked July 6, 2026. |
| Daily loss | The maximum daily loss equity limit is 3% for checked 1-Step accounts. It is a percentage-based calculation from balance at 12:30 AM / 0030 UTC, not a static dollar amount. | Equity includes open positions. If equity reaches or exceeds the daily-loss equity limit at any point, the source says the account breaches.Source evidenceProgram Rules, checked July 6, 2026. |
| Maximum drawdown | The checked source lists static max drawdown as 6% for Classic, 5% for Pro, and 3% for Turbo. | Static does not mean forgiving. The same source says reaching either daily loss or maximum drawdown breaches the account.Source evidenceProgram Rules, checked July 6, 2026. |
| Time limits | Breakout says evaluations have no minimum or maximum time limits. | That does not remove drawdown, conduct, KYC, or terms requirements.Source evidenceProgram Rules, checked July 6, 2026. |
| Fees and leverage | Trading fees are listed as 0.04% per side. BTC and ETH leverage is 5x; other instruments are 2x. Swap-fee handling differs by terminal. | Fees and leverage affect practical room before a drawdown breach. Check the current terminal and symbols page before sizing trades.Source evidenceProgram Rules, checked July 6, 2026. |
| News and weekend holds | The checked rules say news trading is allowed and there is no news-trading restriction. Weekend position holding is allowed; trading hours are 24/7 except maintenance or service interruptions. | Breakout still qualifies news trading by accessibility of data and pricing liquidity from third-party liquidity providers.Source evidenceProgram Rules, checked July 6, 2026. |
| Multiple accounts | Multiple evaluations are allowed up to $200,000 combined active account size. Rules apply independently to each active evaluation. | Do not confuse multiple-account permission with permission to hedge or coordinate across accounts.Source evidenceProgram Rules, checked July 6, 2026. |
| Hedging and prohibited practices | The source prohibits cross-account hedging, cross-trader hedging, account sharing, copy trading of third-party ideas/signals, latency/error exploitation, and strategies difficult to replicate in live markets. | This page does not explain how to evade enforcement. If a strategy depends on coordination, hedging, latency, signals, or copied trades, use the official rules and support first.Source evidenceProgram Rules, checked July 6, 2026. |
| KYC and country access | KYC is not mandatory for evaluation but becomes mandatory before Breakout Account access and payout eligibility. The official page lists restricted jurisdictions and says the list may change. | Country, ID, residence, and KYC issues can block post-pass access even if the evaluation was allowed.Source evidenceProgram Rules, checked July 6, 2026. |
