Key Rule Parameters

These rows group the rule areas covered by the checked official sources. They are not a ranking, recommendation, or account choice guide.

Consistency can move the finish line

If the highest profit day is 50% or more of total net profits, TPT says the trader has not failed the test but must increase the net profit goal.

Test and PRO drawdown differ

The test article explains EOD trailing drawdown. The PRO article says PRO trailing drawdown is calculated intraday using peak balance, including unrealized gains.

Flat time is a daily rule

The rule page says futures positions cannot carry into the next trading day, TPT auto-closes at 4:55 PM ET, and holidays or product hours can change the practical close.

Rule area Official rule snapshot What to verify + evidence
Profit target
By account size
The Rule 1 article lists profit targets by futures account size: 25K $1,500; 50K $3,000; 75K $4,500; 100K $6,000; 150K $9,000. Use the picker above for captured source values. Re-check checkout and dashboard values before treating a target as current.
Source evidence

Rule 1: Hit Your Profit Target, checked July 6, 2026.

Position size
Static contract cap
The Rule 2 article says maximum position size is static by account size and lists 10x position size on permitted micro products. The official article states the micro multiplier for permitted micro products. Confirm permitted instruments and account rules in the current dashboard/source set.

Rule 2: Do Not Exceed Maximum Position Size, checked July 6, 2026.

Test drawdown
EOD trail
The Rule 3 article says test-account drawdown is calculated at the end of the trading day, follows the highest end-of-day balance upward, and stops once minimum account balance reaches starting balance. The same article warns that dropping to minimum account balance can trigger liquidation. This row separates the article’s EOD trail explanation from its liquidation warning. The official article labels the dashboard value “Minimum Account Balance” and says a drop to that value triggers liquidation.

Rule 3: Do Not Hit EOD Maximum Trailing Drawdown, checked July 6, 2026. Source phrase: “highest end-of-day balance”.

Consistency
Sub-50%
The Rule 5 article says traders must have at least 5 active trading days. It also says no single trading day may exceed 50% of total net profits, using highest profit day divided by net P/L. If the highest day is too large, the article says the test is not failed, but the required net profit goal adjusts. The checked article defines the formula as highest profit day divided by net P/L.

Rule 5: Be Consistent, checked July 6, 2026. Source phrase: “below 50%”.

Products and hours
Daily close
The Rule 4 article says traders may trade most futures products listed on CME, CBOT, NYMEX, and COMEX. It says positions cannot be carried into the next trading day, futures trading window is 6 PM Eastern to 5 PM Eastern, and TPT auto-closes open positions at 4:55 PM Eastern. Product-specific market hours and holiday changes can close earlier. The article states TPT will automatically close open positions at 4:55 PM Eastern and says missing a holiday-adjusted close time results in account liquidation.

Rule 4: Trade Approved Products, During Approved Hours, checked July 6, 2026.

PRO withdrawals
Buffer first
The PRO withdrawal article says profit split is 80/20, with the trader keeping 80%. It says traders can withdraw once they reach the maximum-drawdown buffer zone, and lists buffer-zone balances by account size. The official page states normal 80% withdrawals are available after the buffer zone is reached. Inside-buffer withdrawal is described separately and may happen only after account termination, with a split based on time traded.

PRO drawdown and news
Intraday PRO
The PRO rules article says PRO trailing drawdown is calculated intraday from peak balance, including unrealized gains. It also says PRO accounts must have no open positions or orders one minute before, during, and one minute after prohibited news events. The checked source defines PRO drawdown differently from the test-account EOD article. It also says PRO accounts must have no open positions or orders in the stated prohibited-news window.

Counter positions
Same control
The Rule 6 article prohibits opposite positions in the same or closely related products across accounts under the same beneficial control, including related micro and full-size futures examples such as ES/MES, NQ/MNQ, and YM/MYM. This page does not explain evasion tactics, thresholds, or workarounds. The official examples are not exhaustive, and the official Rule 6 article controls.
