We checked 18 prop firms that allow multiple accounts and ranked 14 by copy-stack loss room: how many dollars one trade copied across every funded account you may hold at once can lose before all of them hit their floors. Apex Trader Funding leads futures by a distance, 20 accounts per household on the 150K EOD Trail for $80,000 of room, but filling them costs $46,980 at list ($587.25 per $1,000); Bulenox Fast Track ($27,500), Tradeify Lightning ($26,250) and Topstep ($22,500, the cheapest at $50.89 per $1,000) follow. In forex and CFDs, E8 Markets E8 One gives five $100K accounts $70,000 of room for $4,395, FundingPips four accounts $48,000, and The5ers Summer Plan two $200K accounts $40,000 for just $528 ($13.20 per $1,000). The cap that binds is rarely the headline: Apex and Tradeify count your whole household, E8 your address or IP, FTMO and Alpha Capital Group dollars per strategy. Every firm except Bulenox, which publishes no rule either way, bans opposite positions across your own accounts, most futures call-ups close the whole stack, FundedNext stops copying the moment an account is funded, and Take Profit Trader and Lucid Trading allow stacks but carry warnings serious enough to keep them out of the ranking.

Prop firms that allow multiple accounts, the quick answer

If you want to run several funded accounts at one firm and copy the same trade into all of them, these are the picks, each with its catch. Room means the total loss one copied trade can take across the whole stack.

  • Most accounts and most futures room: Apex Trader Funding, 20 per household. Twenty 150K EOD Trail accounts give $80,000 of room for $46,980; twenty 50K accounts give $40,000 for $14,380.
  • Cheapest futures stack per $1,000: Topstep $150K Combine, No Activation Fee path, five accounts and a built-in copier, $50.89 per $1,000 if you pass in a month.
  • Clearest written permission: Tradeify Lightning 150K, five per household, copying allowed in its contract at every stage, $26,250 of room.
  • Most forex room: E8 Markets E8 One 14%, five $100K accounts, $70,000 of room, any copier, no live call-up.
  • Cheapest room in the post: The5ers Summer Plan, one $200K 10/5 and one $200K 8/5, $40,000 of room for $528, while the limited offer lasts.
  • Lead from an outside account: TradeDay or Alpha Futures in futures; Alpha Capital Group and Funding Traders in forex.

Two firms most lists name as copy-friendly are not ranked here: FundedNext stops copying once an account is funded, and Lucid Trading has dated bans of traders who say they copied only their own accounts. Both are covered below with the reason.

What multiple accounts really means at a prop firm

Every firm in this post lets you hold more than one account. The differences are in what gets counted and who shares the count, and those differences decide how big your stack can be. There are five kinds of limit, and most firms use more than one:

  • Per person. A count of funded accounts for you alone: Topstep five, Bulenox five per profile and Rithmic user ID, Take Profit Trader five.
  • Per household. The same count shared with everyone at home. Apex’s 20 includes a spouse or significant other and any company you own; Tradeify, Lucid and Alpha Futures cap a household at five; TradeDay allows one user per household at all.
  • Per address or IP. E8 Markets counts every user at the same residence or IP against one allowance, and Funding Traders warns that several accounts on one IP may be treated as a security issue.
  • Per product or size. MyFundedFutures drops from five to three once you hold any $100K or $150K account; Alpha Futures drops from five to three if you hold a Standard or Advanced account; Funded Trading Plus allows two 1-Step Express accounts worth $200,000.
  • Per dollar. FTMO ($400,000 per trader or strategy), FundingPips ($400,000 including evaluations), Alpha Capital Group ($300,000 per asset), Funding Traders ($300,000 in Pro accounts) and E8 ($500,000 per market) count money, so the number of accounts depends on the size you buy.

The tightest of these is the one that binds, and it is often not the one on the sales page. For a wider explainer of how allocation caps work, see our guide to prop firm max allocation.

Evaluations are a separate question. Most firms let you buy as many evaluations as you like (Apex, Alpha Futures, Alpha Capital Group and Funding Traders say so outright) and only count funded accounts. FundingPips is the exception: its $400,000 counts evaluation and funded accounts together, so a pile of open challenges eats into your funded stack.

How copy-stack loss room works across multiple accounts

Copy-stack loss room is the number this post ranks on. It answers one question: if you copy the same trade into every funded account a firm lets you hold, how much can that trade lose in total before every account is closed? It is the number of accounts you may copy into at once, times each account’s overall max-loss floor, taking the smaller floor where the evaluation and funded stages differ.

A worked example. Five $50,000 accounts, each with a $2,000 floor, give 5 x $2,000 = $10,000 of copy-stack loss room. Copy one long trade into all five and let it run $1,000 against you: each account is $1,000 closer to its floor and the stack has used $5,000 of its $10,000. Let it run another $1,000 and all five accounts close on the same tick. That is the point of the measure: copied accounts do not spread risk, they multiply it, so the room is real money at risk only in the sense that it is the most you can lose before the whole stack is gone.

How copying works across multiple prop firm accounts: one leader screen with arrows to five identical funded accounts, each with its own loss floor, bracketed as a copy stack
One leader, five copied accounts: each follower keeps its own floor, and one losing trade moves all five toward it together.

We also show two numbers beside the room. The stack’s funded balance (accounts times size) is the figure firms advertise, and it is not the loss you can take. The cost to fill is what buying every seat costs at list price plus any activation fee, counting one month for monthly products. Divide it by the room and multiply by 1,000 and you get the cost per $1,000 of loss room, which breaks ties. Where several sizes reach the same room because a dollar cap scales the account count, we rank the cheapest stack of two or more accounts and show a single big account only as context.

Which account cap binds at each prop firm

Here is who each firm counts, the limit that applies once accounts can pay out, and what the firm says happens if you go over. The order matches the ranked tables below, futures first.

Funded-account limits at each ranked firm, who shares them and what going over does, checked October 2, 2026.

Funding TradersOne verified profile$300,000 in Pro accountsNot published
Funded Trading PlusYour own name and card2 accounts, $200,000New pass put on hold

Three patterns stand out. Household caps are common in futures and almost absent in forex, where firms cap dollars instead. Going over is usually handled by queuing the extra account (Topstep, TradeDay, Funded Trading Plus, E8) rather than punishing you, but Apex and Alpha Capital Group can close every account, so count before you buy. And dollar caps change with size: four $100K FTMO accounts and eight $50K accounts both fill the same $400,000.

Copying across multiple accounts once funded, and what a call-up does

Most pages that rank for this topic stop at a yes or no on copy trading. The stage matters more. A permission that covers evaluations but not funded accounts lets you pass five challenges with one trade and then trade each funded account on its own, which is a different product. Fourteen ranked firms allow copying at the funded stage in writing (FTMO by implication). FundedNext allows it on Challenge accounts only, and Hantec Trader’s pages give two answers; both sit outside the ranking.

The bigger risk is the move to live. A live call-up is a warning in this post, not a reason to rank a firm lower, but for a multi-account trader it is often the end of the stack:

  • Closes every sim account: Apex (live starts with one account, group trading not permitted), Tradeify (mandatory, starts at $0), Alpha Futures (declining ends the relationship), FundingPips Prime (cannot be refused), Alpha Capital Group’s Alpha Prime (decliners get a final payout), Lucid.
  • Merges or collapses the stack: Topstep closes all five funded accounts into one live account that cannot use the copier; MyFundedFutures merges every account into one live account and cannot be refused.
  • Keeps a stack, separately: TradeDay lets up to five Funded Live accounts copy among themselves but never with sim accounts; Bulenox gives one live account per eligible Master and does not say whether copying continues.
  • No live stage published: E8 Markets, FTMO, The5ers, Funding Traders and Funded Trading Plus keep accounts simulated, so copying and the count never change.

Apex is explicit that the stack itself can prompt the move: its live FAQ lists “account count” among the reasons it may move a trader to live at any time.

Same-direction and hedging rules across your own accounts

Every firm in this post except Bulenox bans opposite positions across your own accounts, and the definitions are wider than most traders assume. This is the rule a copier breaks by accident: a follower that lags, a leader flattened while followers stay open, or a copier set to invert direction all create a hedge across accounts.

  • Correlated contracts count. Topstep names ES against MES and NQ against MNQ; Apex gives long ES on one account against short YM on another as a violation; Lucid bans long ES against short NQ; Alpha Capital Group says correlated instruments may be considered.
  • Copier errors are yours. Topstep, Take Profit Trader and Lucid all say trades made by a copier count as your own. Tradeify says a flattened leader with open followers is a hedging violation.
  • Size can count too. The5ers bans position sizes “substantially larger or smaller” across your own accounts, so a copier with mismatched multipliers is a risk there.
  • Penalties range widely. Lucid resets the accounts to the prior day’s balance on a first flag; Topstep escalates from warnings to permanent closure with no appeal; TradeDay offboards and suspends with funded profits forfeited; Take Profit Trader liquidates both accounts.
  • One firm is silent. Bulenox publishes no same-direction or hedging rule at all. Silence is not permission; get it in writing.

Hedging inside one account is a separate rule, allowed at some firms and banned at others; our guide to prop firms that allow hedging ranks that question on its own.

Copier software and VPS rules for multiple prop firm accounts

Firms split four ways on software: their own built-in copier (Topstep, FundingPips), tools you wrote yourself (Bulenox), a named approved list (Take Profit Trader), or any copier you like, sometimes after registering it (Alpha Capital Group). The VPS rule matters as much, because most commercial copiers run on a cloud server, and Topstep, TradeDay and FundingPips ban that outright.

Which copier to buy is its own question, with pricing and platform support per tool; our guide to the best trade copiers for prop firms covers it, and our explainer on prop firm trade copier rules walks through the rules behind each setting.

Copying between different prop firms and your own accounts elsewhere

Holding accounts at several firms is normal; copying between them is where the rules split. Four firms in this post allow your own outside account to lead their accounts: TradeDay (from “your personal account elsewhere”), Alpha Futures (its terms name copying from your own external account in as the allowed route), Funding Traders (into Pro accounts) and Alpha Capital Group (in either direction, with proof you own the outside account). E8 Markets allows copying with “any personal accounts” you own. FundingPips lets its account lead outward only and bans inbound copying. The5ers bans copying from third-party accounts. Tradeify limits own-account copying to its own accounts and, with Lucid and FTMO, bans opposite positions against accounts you hold elsewhere. The rest publish nothing either way.

A cross-firm stack has one extra risk: each firm counts only its own accounts toward its cap, but a hedge against an outside account can still breach its rules, and Funding Traders says several accounts on one IP, “including across other prop firms”, may be a security issue.

Payout limits across multiple prop firm accounts

No firm here publishes a payout cap across all your accounts, so a stack pays out account by account under each firm’s own limits. The ones that change the math for a multi-account trader:

  • Apex: 100% split, but each funded account closes after its sixth payout, so a 20-account stack shrinks as it pays.
  • Bulenox: 100% of the first $10,000 paid from your profile, then 90%, counted across all your accounts.
  • MyFundedFutures Pro: a $100,000 maximum labelled “per user” in one table and “per payout cycle” on the plan page.
  • Topstep: each funded account pays on its own, up to $5,000 per request at 150K, and every request unlinks your copier followers.
  • The5ers Summer Plan: $3,000 per payout cycle on each $200K account.
  • TradeDay: $2,250 per request at 150K, and identical trades across different users shut every account down.

Stacking multiple accounts vs a prop firm scaling plan

Stacking buys size up front: you pay for every seat and the room exists from day one. A scaling plan grows one account as you earn, and costs nothing extra, but takes months. The two interact: FTMO’s $400,000 applies before any scaling, while FundingPips counts a merged account’s full size toward its $400,000. Our guide to prop firms with scaling plans ranks the other route.

  1. Sources: each firm’s own account-limit, copy-trading, hedging, live-transition and payout articles, its terms and its price cards, read up to October 2, 2026. Never a competitor’s list or a copier vendor’s claims.
  2. The limit: every published cap on funded accounts held at once (person, household, address or IP, product, dollars, copier connections), with the smallest one used. A cap a firm never publishes counts as one account.
  3. The copy rule: copying your own trades must be allowed at the funded stage on the firm’s own pages; a ranked row must be a stack of two or more accounts.
  4. Order: copy-stack loss room, largest first; ties go to the lower cost per $1,000 of room at list price plus activation. One product per firm, at whatever size gives the most room most cheaply. Futures and forex or CFD products rank separately. Euro prices convert at the ECB rate of 1.1225 for October 2, 2026.
  5. Facts, not penalties: live call-ups, payout caps and Trustpilot status are shown, not scored. A floor that follows open profit, a firm whose pages disagree on copying once funded, or dated bans of traders copying only their own accounts keep a firm out of the ranked tables.

Where a firm’s own pages give two figures for a cap or a floor, we print both, rank on the smaller and mark the cell. A fee a firm does not publish is never treated as $0.

Futures prop firms that allow multiple accounts, ranked by copy-stack loss room

Seven futures firms allow a copied stack of two or more funded accounts. Room is the loss one copied trade can take across the whole stack; the cost columns are at list price.

Notes on this ranking: Copy-stack loss room is the number of funded accounts you may copy one trade into at once, times each account’s overall max-loss floor at its smallest stage. Ties go to the lower cost per $1,000, which is list price plus any activation fee, times the accounts, divided by the room, times 1,000. Codes never enter it. * One month of a monthly price. At two months Topstep would be $101.78 and TradeDay $222.22, which would put TradeDay behind Alpha Futures. Topstep’s Standard path ($199 a month plus $149 per funded account) is $77.33. † Pages disagree on a figure. Tradeify’s card and Lightning article give a $5,250 floor while an August lock table implies $6,000, the figure its article labels legacy; on $6,000 its room would be $30,000 and it would rank second. Alpha’s help centre allows copying across its own accounts while its terms name only copying in from your own outside account; an outside leader meets both. Alpha Futures’ terms describe its floor as 3% to 4%; on 4% ($6,000) the room would be $30,000 at $143.17. Alpha’s help centre allows five Standard accounts where its terms say three; on five, Standard 150K would tie at $22,500 for $77.56 per $1,000 and move Alpha to fifth. ‡ No activation or data fee is published for Alpha Futures Direct; we do not count it as $0, so the figure is the price alone. § Bulenox’s third-party API fee ($100 a month) is not in the fill cost. Its Momentum 150K is listed with a $5,500 floor on one table and $4,500 on another; on $4,500 it gives $22,500 ($79.56), on $5,500 it would tie Fast Track at $27,500 for $65.09. Bulenox’s rank does not change either way. # TradeDay does not publish the 150K Funded Live floor; its 50K example is $500 below the sim figure, and the same gap here would cut the room to $20,000. Apex’s footer says its services are intended for U.S. users only.

Forex and CFD prop firms that allow multiple accounts, ranked by copy-stack loss room

Seven forex and CFD firms pass the same test. Most cap dollars rather than accounts, so the stack shown is the cheapest way to reach each firm’s maximum room with two or more accounts.

Notes on this ranking: Same method as the futures table. A daily loss that ends a forex or CFD account is the normal shape for these products, so it is shown in each firm’s notes, not penalised. * FTMO prices in euros; EUR 499 converted at the ECB reference rate of 1.1225 for October 2, 2026. The euro would have to fall about 76.4% before FTMO passed The5ers on the tie-break, so no ordinary currency move changes its place. † Funded Trading Plus’ own help pages disagree on whether copying across its accounts is allowed. On the strict reading it would be one account and $6,000 of room, still last. ‡ No activation fee is published for FundingPips’ funded accounts or for Funding Traders Pro; we do not count it as $0, so the figure is the price alone. § The5ers advertises the Summer Plan as a limited offer with no end date. Its standing High Stakes product allows one $100K account at a time, $8,000 of room on the 8% floor its size table shows.
