Research basis and limitations

This page preserves the current BestProps document-based profile. Exact deep-source URLs may not be stored with every record, so individual statements may not link to specific firm pages. No account purchase, live trading, support contact, identity check, or payout test was performed.

TL;DR: Leeloo Trading is a futures prop firm run by Natural Trading, LLC in Billings, Montana. You pay for a simulated practice account, hit a profit target over at least 10 trading days without touching an intraday trailing drawdown, then pay a Performance Account fee ($88 a month or $250 once, per the site on October 11, 2026) for a simulated account that can request payouts. Monthly Foundation accounts cost $250 (25K) to $850 (300K), plus a 5.85% to 7.85% card processing fee at checkout, and three-account bundles cost $520 to $1,250 for 30 days. There is no daily loss limit, news trading is allowed and you can trade on NinjaTrader, Sierra Chart, ATAS, MotiveWave and ten other Rithmic platforms. You keep 100% of the first $12,500 you are paid, then 90%. Foundation and bundle accounts pay once a month, on the last Saturday. The catch is the payout review: every request is checked by hand against a 30% best-day rule and loosely defined consistency tests on contract size, trade count and profit-taking. Trustpilot shows 3.1 from 608 reviews, with 14% one-star, and the 2026 complaints describe payouts cut to a few hundred dollars and accounts closed after that review. There are no refunds.

Research status: On October 11, 2026 we read Leeloo’s homepage, all twelve checkout pages linked from it, the account pages, terms of service, contest, tutorial, about and disclosure pages, and its public support news page. Leeloo’s help-centre articles now require a login, so where a rule only appears there we quote the most recent public copy saved by the Internet Archive and give its date. We read Trustpilot, Reddit and the App Store the same day. We did not buy an account, so anything that only shows after purchase is printed as Leeloo publishes it, not tested.

Leeloo Trading review verdict: is Leeloo legit?

Leeloo Trading is a real, long-running business. It names its company and street address in its terms, has sold practice accounts since at least 2019, runs a working checkout and a support desk, and shows payout recipients from 16 countries on its homepage. Traders on Trustpilot and Reddit describe being paid, some of them several times, through the payout service Rise.

Several things about the product are genuinely trader-friendly:

  • There is no daily loss limit on any Foundation account, only one trailing drawdown.
  • News trading and holiday trading are allowed, and you can carry a small position (up to 3 micros) through the close.
  • There is no maximum time to pass. A monthly account keeps its balance when it renews.
  • You keep 100% of the first $12,500 you are paid and 90% after that.
  • Fourteen platforms connect through Rithmic, including NinjaTrader, Sierra Chart, ATAS, MotiveWave and Jigsaw.

The weak points matter more than the strengths:

  • The drawdown trails your highest open profit inside a trade, not your closed balance, which is the strictest kind.
  • Foundation and bundle accounts can request a payout only once a month, on the last Saturday.
  • Every payout is reviewed by hand. Leeloo’s terms say payouts are “at Leeloo’s full discretion”, and the consistency tests (contract size, trade count, profit-taking, “home run” trades) have no published number.
  • All fees are non-refundable, and a card processing fee of 5.85% to 7.85% is added to every payment.
  • The Performance Account is simulated. Leeloo describes payouts as coming from “periodic performance-based contests” rather than from a live account.

So is Leeloo legit? It is an established firm that does pay traders, but the payout review is the main risk. On October 11, 2026 Trustpilot showed 3.1 out of 5 from 608 reviews. Most of the 2026 one-star reviews tell the same story: the dashboard said the trader could request a payout, the review found “inconsistent” trading, and Leeloo offered a smaller “discretionary distribution” (reviewers quote $200 to $580 against requests of $1,000 or more) and closed the account. Leeloo replies to almost every one, saying it uses an algorithmic check plus a human review and has paid “millions of dollars” over the years. If you trade the same size and style every day, Leeloo’s rules suit you better than if you scale size up and down with market conditions.

What is Leeloo Trading and who runs it

Leeloo’s terms of service name the operator as Natural Trading, LLC, doing business as Leeloo Trading, at 821 North 27th #2035, Billings, Montana 59101. Montana law governs disputes, which must first go through a 60-day informal negotiation, and the terms waive class actions. The website footer reads “©2019-2026 Leeloo Trading”, and our study of the oldest prop firms dates its first archived price page to July 2019.

The firm was founded by Jody Dahl, whose family ranches in Central Montana. Leeloo’s own about page now says she “no longer owns Leeloo Trading” but does not name the new owner or the date of the change. The homepage links to a chief executive named Chris on X (@Chris_LeelooCEO), and Trustpilot reviewers mention him by name.

Leeloo calls itself an “educational software platform” rather than a prop firm. Its terms say the service is “for educational purposes only” and is “a software platform that runs periodic contests at Leeloo’s discretion”. In practice it works like other futures evaluation firms: you pay to trade a simulated account, and if you pass you can request payouts. The wording matters, though. Payouts are framed as contest awards, and the footer says a Performance Account “may represent simulated accounts or copied accounts”.

A note on the name: searches for “Leeloo” also bring up the Fifth Element character and several unrelated businesses. This review covers only the futures firm at leelootrading.com. Leeloo sells futures only. It does not offer forex, CFDs or MetaTrader 4.

How Leeloo works: practice account to Performance Account

  1. Buy a practice account. Pick a size (Aspire 25K up to Explode 300K) and pay monthly, or buy a bundle. Sign up with your legal name exactly as it appears on your government ID, because you will need that ID later. Leeloo says credentials arrive by email within about 15 minutes. Your first day counts from the moment of purchase, even if you have not traded.
  2. Connect through Rithmic. Download R|Trader Pro, sign the Rithmic market data agreements on first login, choose “Rithmic Paper Trading”, then connect your platform with the same login.
  3. Pass. Reach the profit target without hitting the trailing drawdown and trade at least 10 active U.S. trading days. There is no maximum period and no consistency rule at this stage.
  4. Verify and activate the Performance Account (PA). Register with Rise (the payout service) using real name, address and ID, then choose the PA fee: $88 a month or $250 once.
  5. Trade the PA and request payouts. PA rules add the 30% best-day rule, a no-flipping rule and the consistency review. Payout requests go in on the schedule for your account type.
  6. Possible next step. The homepage says consistent PA traders may have their account “copied via proprietary software at Leeloo’s discretion”, and an archived help article describes an invite-only “Elite” program. None of this is a guaranteed live account.

Leeloo account types and prices

The main product is the Foundation (LL) monthly practice account. These are the prices and limits on Leeloo’s homepage and checkout pages on October 11, 2026. Each account can be reset for $85.

Account Size Max contracts Profit target Trailing drawdown Price per 30 days
Aspire $25,000 3 minis / 30 micros $1,500 $1,500 $250
Launch $50,000 8 minis / 80 micros $3,000 $2,500 $280
Climb $100,000 12 minis / 120 micros $6,000 $3,000 $320
Cruise $150,000 15 minis / 150 micros $9,000 $5,000 $405
Burst $250,000 25 minis / 250 micros $15,000 $6,500 $725
Explode $300,000 30 minis / 300 micros $20,000 $7,500 $850

The Leeloo 25K (Aspire) is the cheapest way in at $250 a month. The Leeloo 50K (Launch) costs only $30 more and gives you $1,000 more drawdown for a target twice as large. On every size the target is larger than the drawdown, so you need to make more than you can afford to lose before you pass.

Two things the price table does not show. First, the price is per 30 days, not per evaluation. If you need three months to pass a Launch, you pay $840 before fees. Second, the subscription keeps billing until you cancel it, even after you fail. Leeloo’s terms say “Failing or forfeiting an Account does not automatically cancel your subscription.”

The LB Leeloo Bundle

A bundle gives you three Foundation practice accounts of the same size for one non-recurring payment. All three expire 30 days after purchase, and only one can qualify for a Performance Account. A reset applies to one account in the bundle, not all three. Leeloo says it sometimes raises the number of accounts in a bundle during promotions.

Bundle Size Profit target Trailing drawdown Price (30 days, one-off) Same size monthly, 3 months
LB Aspire $25,000 $1,500 $1,500 $520 $750
LB Launch $50,000 $3,000 $2,500 $635 $840
LB Climb $100,000 $6,000 $3,000 $799 $960
LB Cruise $150,000 $9,000 $5,000 $850 $1,215
LB Burst $250,000 $15,000 $6,500 $950 $2,175
LB Explode $300,000 $20,000 $7,500 $1,250 $2,550

A bundle gives you three attempts at once, but only 30 days and 10 required trading days to use them. It suits a trader who expects to blow one or two accounts quickly. If you trade slowly, the monthly account gives you more time for less money. Leeloo’s archived help article says that if a bundle expires before you qualify you can roll one account’s balance into a monthly account of the same size at 25% off the first month, but your traded days start again from zero.

The same help article, last edited March 18, 2026, said the bundle “is being phased out and soon will no longer be available for new purchases”. On October 11, 2026 all six bundles were still on sale at the prices above. If you plan to rely on a bundle, check it is still listed before you pay.

Express, Ignite, Entry, Weekly, Turbo and Elite

Leeloo also sells limited or invite-only accounts. On October 11, 2026 none of them had a public price or checkout link; the homepage says to contact the “Leeloo Concierge” for the Bundle, Entry, Weekly and Ignite accounts. Here is what Leeloo has published about each, with the date of the copy we read.

Account What it is Key terms as published Source date

Older names such as Glide (a static-drawdown swing account), Accelerator and the “Leeloo performance account” are still mentioned in Leeloo’s materials. Glide and Accelerator were not offered on Leeloo’s public pages on October 11, 2026, and “performance account” is simply the funded stage that every practice account leads to.

Leeloo pricing: what passing really costs

Leeloo’s checkout adds a non-refundable convenience fee to every payment: 5.85% for PayPal, PayPal Express and Stripe card payments, and 7.85% for Network Merchants (NMI) payments. The checkout we saw offered Stripe card payments and Apple Pay, and Leeloo says you can ask to pay by cheque instead. Sales tax may be added too. Here is a 50K Launch with the 5.85% fee:

Scenario Practice fees PA fee Total with 5.85% fee
Pass in month 1, one-time PA fee $280 $250 $561.01
Pass in month 1, monthly PA fee for 3 months $280 $264 ($88 x 3) $575.82
Pass in month 2, one-time PA fee $560 $250 $857.39
Fail once, $85 reset, pass in month 2 $560 + $85 $250 $947.36
LB Launch bundle, one account passes $635 $250 $936.77

We assumed the processing fee also applies to the PA fee and resets, because Leeloo says it applies to “each payment you make through the Leeloo payment portal”. Remember that the first Foundation payout cannot be requested until 30 calendar days after the PA starts, so a monthly PA fee runs for at least one month before you can be paid.

Monthly or one-time PA fee? At $88 a month, the $250 one-time fee pays for itself in the third month. But the one-time fee comes with a rule: you must trade the PA on at least 12 days every calendar month, and you may not place tiny trades just to count a day. An archived help article from April 2026 adds that Leeloo can move you back to the monthly fee if it thinks you are misusing the one-time option, and that the one-time fee was being phased out. If you trade part-time, the monthly fee is the safer choice.

Leeloo discount codes and promotions

On October 11, 2026 Leeloo’s website showed no public discount code or sale banner. Its support page says promotions go out by email (you can opt in at checkout) and on YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, X, Discord, StockTwits and Spotify, and that new traders who contact support may get “something special”. The checkout has a coupon field, and Leeloo has a video tutorial on how to apply a coupon.

Discounts Leeloo itself has published:

  • 25% off the first month of a monthly account when a bundle expires before you qualify (help article, March 2026).
  • A 70% discount code for the first month when you roll a contest account into a Foundation account (contest page, read October 11, 2026, undated contest).
  • Edge Enhancer add-ons sold during promotions: payouts after 10 or 15 traded days instead of monthly, a lower one-time PA fee ($119 or $90 instead of $250) and 60% off resets (help article, June 2025).
  • Bundles with 5 to 10 accounts instead of 3 during sales (glossary, June 2025).

Coupon sites list other Leeloo codes and percentages (“descuento”, “cupón”) that we could not confirm with Leeloo, so we do not reprint them. Ask support for the current code before you buy, and check the price at checkout before you pay.

The trailing drawdown, with a worked example

Leeloo calls its drawdown the Limited Trailing Minimum Account Balance (LTMAB), also called the Auto Liquidate Threshold Value (ALTV) in Rithmic. Leeloo describes it as “a rising trailing max drawdown that tracks your open equity intra-trade, based on the unrealized highest profit point”. If your equity touches it, Rithmic liquidates your position and only administrators can place orders on the account.

Example on a 50K Launch ($2,500 drawdown):

  • You start at $50,000. Your floor is $47,500.
  • You buy and the trade runs to $1,200 open profit, so your equity peaks at $51,200. The floor moves up to $48,700 at that moment, while the trade is still open.
  • The market comes back and you close the trade at $300 profit. Your balance is $50,300, but the floor stays at $48,700.
  • Your cushion is now $1,600, not the $2,800 you would have if the drawdown followed closed balances only.

The lesson: with Leeloo, an open profit you give back costs you drawdown room. Use stops and targets that limit how much open profit you surrender. There is no separate daily loss limit, and the public pages do not say the drawdown ever stops trailing on a Foundation account. Only the limited Turbo accounts published a lock point (at $100 above the start after the first payout). See our trailing drawdown guide for how this compares with end-of-day and static drawdowns.

Trading rules: news, overnight holds, bots and copy trading

Rule Practice account Performance Account
Profit target Yes, by size (table above) No target; payout thresholds apply
Minimum trading days 10 active U.S. trading days Payout schedule sets the pace
Maximum time None on monthly accounts; 30 days on bundles None
Daily loss limit None None
Trailing drawdown Intraday, on open profit Intraday, on open profit
Consistency No rule to pass 30% best-day rule plus manual consistency review
News and holidays Allowed Allowed
Holding through the close Carrying positions allowed Up to 3 micros without permission; more needs admin approval; otherwise flat 15 minutes before the close
Scaling None: full contract limit from day one None
Over-size orders Rejected, not a breach Rejected, not a breach
Bots and algos Not allowed (“ONLY the Trader can trade the account”) Not allowed; manual dollar-cost averaging is fine
Copy trading Never from another person Your own accounts only, at most 3 at once, and not on Weekly, Accelerator or most Edge Enhancer accounts
Accounts per login Up to 10 concurrent accounts; one Rithmic ID per trader

Leeloo’s terms also ban toxic flow, latency arbitrage, price-feed exploitation, “reckless trading” and “gambling behavior”, and say such accounts will be closed. The instruments are the CME, CBOT, COMEX and NYMEX futures bundles, so you can trade equity index, interest rate, metals, energy and agricultural futures, but not stocks or forex.

Swing trading: Leeloo advertises “Swing Trade” on its homepage, but on a Performance Account you can only carry 3 micros through the close without permission. A real swing position on a PA needs admin approval and enough profit to cover maintenance margin. Our guide to prop firms for swing traders lists firms with fewer limits.

The 30% rule and the consistency review

On a Performance Account, your best day must be below 30% of your total profit when you request a payout. To find the minimum total profit you need, divide your best day by 0.30.

Best day Total profit needed (more than) Example total Best day share Eligible?
$600 $2,000 $2,500 24% Yes
$1,000 $3,333 $3,000 33% No: trade on to above $3,333
$1,500 $5,000 $4,000 37.5% No: trade on to above $5,000
$2,500 $8,333 $9,000 27.8% Yes

Leeloo’s own example: you start a 50K PA, grow it to $60,000, then make $15,000 in one day. Your total profit is $25,000, and the $15,000 day is 60% of it. To get under 30% you would need $50,000 of total profit with the big day unchanged.

The 30% rule is the only consistency test with a number. The others are judgement calls, made first by software and then by a person:

  • Contract size. Keep it steady. Leeloo’s example of a problem is trading 1 contract for weeks and then 10 on one day.
  • Profit-taking and trade count. A day with many trades and an unusually small profit can count as “flipping”, which Leeloo caps at 5% of your trading days.
  • No “home run” trades. Big equity jumps from one or two trades are flagged.
  • The dashboard is not the decision. Leeloo says its dashboard flipping percentage “is not accurate”, and that being able to submit a request “does not guarantee approval”.

For how other firms write consistency rules, see our consistency rule guide and the list of prop firms with no consistency rule.

Leeloo payouts: schedule, split, caps and Rise

How much you keep. You receive 100% of the first $12,500 paid out to you, then 90% of each later payout. Leeloo says this “is NOT a profit split” but a limit on what you can receive of simulated profit. Example: if you are paid $14,000 in total, the first $12,500 is yours in full and you get 90% of the next $1,500 ($1,350), so you receive $13,850.

Account First request Then When you can submit
Foundation (LL), Bundle (LB), Entry (LE) 30 calendar days after the PA starts Every 30 calendar days Last Saturday of the month, 2:00 AM to 5:00 PM ET
Same, with a 10- or 15-day Edge Enhancer After 10 or 15 traded days Every 10 to 15 traded days Any Saturday after you are eligible
Weekly (WK) After 10 traded days Every 4 traded days Any Saturday
Elite plans After 7 profitable days in a 10-day window Up to 3 phased payouts Any day, by email

Caps and minimums. Leeloo’s terms say it is not obliged to pay more than an “Account Payout Cap” per user, which can change at any time, and it does not publish a current cap table for Foundation accounts. Entry accounts pay 50% of the request for the first four months, up to $500 to $1,500 a month by size. Weekly accounts allow $1,000 per request on the 25K and $1,000 to $1,500 on the 50K. Ask support for your account’s current minimum and maximum before you plan around a number.

How payouts are paid. All payouts go through Rise, which handles identity checks and lets you withdraw to a bank or other supported method. Leeloo says requests are reviewed within 1 to 3 business days and asks you not to trade the account during the review. A Trustpilot reviewer in October 2025 wrote that a Saturday request was approved the following Tuesday. If the dashboard fails during your window, email support@leelootrading.com within the same window with your PA number, the amount and a screenshot.

First payout walkthrough (Foundation PA):

  1. Pass the practice account and register with Rise using the same name as your Leeloo account.
  2. Pay the PA fee and trade the PA for at least 30 calendar days, keeping your size, trade count and profit-taking steady.
  3. Before the last Saturday of the month, check that your best day is below 30% of total profit and that your balance meets the threshold support gave you.
  4. On the last Saturday, between 2:00 AM and 5:00 PM ET, log in to the Leeloo dashboard (with your aMember login, not your Rithmic login) and click Request Payout.
  5. Stop trading the account until Leeloo replies, usually within 1 to 3 business days.

Payout proof. Leeloo posts winner names and countries, not payout certificates, on its site. Its app leaderboard shows balances and win rates from Rithmic data, but these are simulated results. The Trustpilot and Reddit sections below summarise what traders report.

Tax. Leeloo has a tutorial on filling in the payout form for both U.S. and non-U.S. citizens. Leeloo gives no tax advice, so treat payouts as income and ask a tax adviser in your country how to report them.

Leeloo trading platforms: NinjaTrader, Rithmic and more

Every Leeloo account runs on Rithmic. You need R|Trader Pro for the first login and to sign the Rithmic data agreements; your drawdown level is the Auto Liquidate Threshold Value on that Rithmic login. After that you can trade on any of the platforms Leeloo lists:

  • NinjaTrader 7 and 8 (Leeloo supplies a free NinjaTrader licence key)
  • Rithmic R|Trader Pro
  • EdgeProX (Mac, Windows, Linux)
  • MotiveWave (Mac, Windows, Linux)
  • MultiCharts
  • ATAS
  • Finamark Systems
  • Jigsaw Daytradr
  • Trade Navigator
  • VolFix
  • Bookmap X-Ray
  • Investor/RT (Linnsoft)
  • Sierra Chart
  • OptimusFLOW

TradingView is not on the list. Leeloo’s homepage links to TradingView for charting, and one App Store reviewer describes watching charts on TradingView and closing trades in the Leeloo app, but you cannot place Leeloo trades through TradingView. There is no MetaTrader 4 or 5. Rithmic offers a free trial through a link in Leeloo’s footer, which is the closest thing to a free Leeloo demo; the practice account itself is the paid test.

For platform costs across firms, see prop firms that use Rithmic, prop firms that use NinjaTrader and prop firms that use MotiveWave. If Rithmic is down, check our Rithmic status page.

Commissions, market data and other costs

Leeloo’s public pages did not list per-contract commissions on October 11, 2026; the help-centre article on commissions now needs a login. Older copies (last edited 2022) say commissions are charged on simulated accounts and are already counted in your net profit, so you do not need to enter them in your platform. Ask support for the current rate per contract before you trade, because commissions change how fast you reach a target, especial
