We checked 18 prop firms for Kenyan traders on October 3, 2026 and ranked the products a Kenyan resident can buy by cost per $1,000 of loss room at $50K: list price plus any activation fee, divided by the overall loss limit in dollars. E8 Markets E8 Pro 10% is cheapest at $49.80 ($249, $5,000 static floor), then Alpha Capital Group Alpha Pro 10% at $53.40, FundedNext Stellar Lite at $57.50, Goat Funded Trader 2 Step GOAT at $61.60 and The5ers High Stakes at $62.25. Tradeify Growth ($72.50) is the only futures product in this guide open to Kenyans; Topstep, My Funded Futures, Take Profit Trader, FXIFY and AquaFunded name Kenya as excluded, and FundingPips carries a serious warning over an FATF-list clause. No firm names M-Pesa as a payout route; FundedNext names it for paying only. Shilling figures use the Central Bank of Kenya rate of KES 129.76 per dollar posted October 2, 2026.

Quick answer and the top five prop firms for traders in Kenya

Ten of the 18 firms checked sell at least one product a Kenyan resident can buy on their published terms. Five name Kenya as excluded, one has a terms clause that may cover Kenya, one publishes no complete country policy, and one sells nothing. Ranked on what you pay for each $1,000 the account can lose, these five come first:

  1. E8 Markets E8 Pro 10% (forex and crypto): $49.80 per $1,000. List price $249 (KES 32,310); overall floor $5,000, static.
  2. Alpha Capital Group Alpha Pro 10%: $53.40 per $1,000. List price $267 (KES 34,646); overall floor $5,000, static.
  3. FundedNext Stellar Lite: $57.50 per $1,000. List price $229.99 (KES 29,844); overall floor $4,000, static.
  4. Goat Funded Trader 2 Step GOAT: $61.60 per $1,000. List price $308 (KES 39,966); overall floor $5,000, static.
  5. The5ers High Stakes 2-Step (NEW): $62.25 per $1,000. List price $249 (KES 32,310); overall floor $4,000, static (the FAQ says $5,000).

E8 Markets and Alpha Capital Group are the strongest country matches on paper because both write Kenya into their own rules. For futures, Tradeify Growth at $72.50 is the only product open to Kenyans among the five futures listings checked.

Can traders in Kenya use prop firms

Yes, with more care than most countries need. A prop firm sells you an evaluation on a simulated account; pass it and the firm pays you a share of simulated profit. For a Kenyan buyer the practical questions are whether the firm accepts Kenyan residents, whether any payout route reaches you, and what a failed attempt costs.

Kenya turns up on more ban lists than many buyers expect. Four of the five futures listings here name it, and so do FXIFY and AquaFunded on the forex side. FXIFY’s own article on prop firms for African traders says “Kenya and Ghana are currently restricted jurisdictions,” even though FXIFY ranks itself first in that article. FundingPips excludes residents of “countries on the FATF and EU/UN sanctions lists,” and Kenya is on the FATF list of jurisdictions under increased monitoring in its June 19, 2026 update.

Firms that do accept Kenya say so in two ways. E8 Markets and Alpha Capital Group name it; the rest publish a list of countries they will not serve and leave Kenya off. The test also differs: E8 Markets goes by the country on your ID document, Tradeify and Tradeify 247 by where you permanently live, and For Traders by nationality, location or residence. A list written as “including but not limited to,” like The5ers’, leaves room to refuse anyone.

Be wary of old lists. MyForexFunds still turns up in some Kenya roundups, yet its own site says the brand’s new owner “is not currently offering any products or services under the MyForexFunds brand,” and Trustpilot shows that its website has closed. The US Commodity Futures Trading Commission sued the company behind it in August 2023.

CMA Kenya and prop firms

The Capital Markets Authority licenses capital markets intermediaries in Kenya, online forex brokers among them. We found no claim of a CMA licence on any firm’s pages, and the products they sell are evaluations on simulated accounts. So treat CMA as the regulator to check before you hand money to anyone who offers to trade or invest it for you, not as a list of approved prop firms.

CMA’s most recent public caution is dated Nairobi, September 11, 2026. It says: “The Capital Markets Authority (the Authority) wishes to caution the public against a number of entities purporting to offer investment services in Kenya without the requisite licensing or approval.” It names 15 entities: Global Investment Group (GIG), QVSE, Kore Exchange, Abacus Wealth Management, Brown Advisory Group, B Invest, Bitblock Capital Limited, Maliwave Investments, Monetrix Capital Investments, Twenty-four Hours Pro expert Trader, Wealth Sharing Group (Opticoin), CBEX, Just Markets, Ultima Cryptocurrency and Lukman-trust fund.

None of the 18 firms in this guide is among those 15 names. That is not an approval: the caution is about the platforms it names, and CMA’s silence on a prop firm says nothing either way. Read the full release on CMA’s press release page, and for which prop firms hold a licence anywhere, see our guide to regulated prop firms.

How prop firm payouts reach Kenya

How prop firms in Kenya pay out: a map of Kenya beside a path from prop firm to payout method to your account, with Crypto, Rise and Bank transfer options
Prop firm, payout method, your account: the path every Kenyan payout takes.

No firm checked pays in shillings directly. Payouts leave in US dollars, euros or crypto, and the conversion happens at the payout provider, your bank or a crypto exchange, at their rate. Two firms go further than the rest for Kenya: E8 Markets pays through WorkMarket, whose Hyperwallet network lists a wire to Kenyan banks in shillings or dollars, and Goat Funded Trader names Kenya as one of eight countries where it pays by bank transfer.

Rise is the most common route. Rise’s own help centre lists Kenya, in shillings, among the countries where you can withdraw in local currency, but the prop firms themselves do not name Kenya, and Rise runs its own identity checks. M-Pesa is not a payout route at any firm here; FundedNext names it only for paying the challenge fee.

How we checked prop firms for Kenya

  1. Read each firm’s own restricted countries page, terms, help article or checkout for Kenya, product by product.
  2. Treat forex, futures and crypto arms of one brand as separate listings.
  3. Price every $50K variant at list price and add any activation fee; codes go in the firm notes only.
  4. Divide by the smallest overall loss limit in dollars at any stage, never a daily limit, and multiply by 1,000.
  5. Note the payout routes that reach Kenya, the currency they pay in, the live stage terms and Trustpilot.

A simulated funded account is how almost every firm here works, for every country, so it is a fact we state for each firm rather than a reason to drop one. Only a rule that names Kenya, or a clause that may cover it, moves a firm out of the ranking.

Prop firms in Kenya ranked by cost per $1,000 of loss room

Lower is better. A $4,000 floor at $229.99 and a $5,000 floor at $249 both cost about $50 to $58 for each $1,000 you are allowed to lose, which is the comparison that matters if you plan to buy more than once.

Notes on this ranking: Cost per $1,000 is the list price of the firm’s cheapest $50,000 product that a Kenyan resident can buy, plus any activation fee, divided by the smallest overall loss limit in dollars at any stage, times 1,000. Daily loss limits, per-symbol rules and per-position rules are not used. Euro prices convert at the European Central Bank reference rate of October 2, 2026 (EUR/USD 1.1225). Shilling figures use the Central Bank of Kenya indicative mean rate posted October 2, 2026 (1 USD = KES 129.76); no firm here charges or pays in shillings. Ties share a rank. a FundedNext does not name an activation fee for Stellar Lite and does not say there is none; its help page only rules out hidden and recurring fees. The figure is the evaluation fee alone. Every $10 of fee it might add raises the figure by $2.50, so a fee above about $16 would drop it below Goat Funded Trader. b Goat Funded Trader’s checkout total equals the evaluation fee and no activation step is published, but the firm does not state a $0 activation fee in words. The figure is the fee alone. c The5ers’ High Stakes size table shows an 8% overall loss ($4,000) at $50K while its FAQ says 10% ($5,000). We rank on the tighter table figure; on the FAQ figure it would be $49.80 and share first place with E8 Markets. Its FAQ says there are “no hidden or recurring fees.” The no-conflict alternative is its Pro Growth 1-Step at $329 for a $3,000 static floor, $109.67. Its Forbidden Territory clause lists countries “including but not limited to” the names given, so a missing name is not a written promise. d BrightFunded prices in euros: €297 x 1.1225 = $333.38, so $333.38 / $5,000 x 1,000 = $66.68. For Traders is about 2.9% dearer, so a euro rise of that size would swap them. No one-time activation fee is named anywhere on BrightFunded’s pages. e For Traders’ $343 is its Classic 2-Step at $50K set to a 10% profit target, 10% overall loss and 3% daily loss in the configurator; the Classic help article describes an 8% then 5% target and does not explain the 10% option. The default setup costs $359 for an 8% ($4,000) floor, $89.75. The firm says fees are “One-time. No subscriptions, no hidden costs.” f FTMO prices in euros: €319 x 1.1225 = $358.08. The 1-Step floor trails the end-of-day balance and its fee is never refunded. Tradeify is only about 1.2% dearer, so a 1.2% rise in the euro would swap them. FTMO’s 2-Step Challenge (€345, about $387.26, static floor, fee refunded with the first reward) works out at $77.45. g Tradeify’s $145 for Growth comes from its own pricing reference article dated September 1, 2026; the Growth card did not render in our October 3 check, while the Select 50K card read $165 ($82.50 per $1,000).

Crypto prop firms for Kenyan traders

Two crypto products are open to Kenyans on the same measure. E8 Markets’ E8 Pro also covers crypto, but it is ranked above as a forex and crypto account.

Notes on this ranking: Same measure as the main table. Both products trade crypto pairs on simulated accounts. h For Traders’ Crypto Fast PRO floor is $2,000 and trails the end-of-day balance until it locks at the starting balance; Tradeify 247’s $3,000 floor is static. Tradeify 247 also has a 3% daily loss limit ($1,500) measured on live equity, which ends the account. For Traders’ forex Classic 2-Step ranks seventh in the main table.

Time zones matter more than people expect. Daily loss limits reset at different hours: FTMO at midnight Central European time (about 2:00 to 3:00 AM in Nairobi), Tradeify 247 at 22:00 UTC (1:00 AM in Nairobi) and Goat Funded Trader at 5 PM New York time. A trade held across that moment counts against the next day.

Prop firms in Kenya with a hidden Trustpilot rating

Seven of the 18 firms checked show no star rating on Trustpilot, only the banner “This company’s rating is unavailable due to a breach of our guidelines.” Trustpilot uses it when it finds problems such as fake reviews. The seven are Alpha Capital Group (21,823 reviews), Goat Funded Trader (4,343 reviews), E8 Markets (3,297 reviews), Blue Guardian (2,089 reviews), For Traders (1,776 reviews), AquaFunded (1,199 reviews) and BrightFunded (572). A hidden rating does not change a firm’s rank here, and a firm’s own review badge is not a substitute for it. Five of the ten firms open to Kenya are in this group.

E8 Markets names Kenya and gives Kenyan traders the cheapest prop firm loss room per dollar

E8 Markets is one of only two firms here whose country rules name Kenya as a place they serve: Kenya sits on a short list whose residents can buy E8 Pro, E8 Signature and E8 Zero at every size and E8 One only up to $200,000. The country is read from the identity document you verify with, not from where you log in.

E8 Pro with the 10% static drawdown lists at $249 for $50,000 (about KES 32,310), so $249 / $5,000 x 1,000 = $49.80 per $1,000 of loss room, the lowest figure in this guide. The same account at 8% costs $228 for $4,000 of room ($57.00) and at 6% costs $218 for $3,000 ($72.67), which is why the dearest E8 Pro sticker is the cheapest per dollar of room.

Its payout partner also publishes a Kenyan bank route in shillings. Hyperwallet, the network behind E8’s WorkMarket payouts, lists “Kenya | Wire Transfer | AUD, EUR, GBP, KES, USD” at 2% of the transfer with a $10 minimum and $30 maximum fee, plus 2% to 3% for currency conversion unless you take US dollars. E8 also says plainly: “If you can’t undergo WorkMarket and Riseworks KYC, we cannot provide you with a payout payment.”

Video: “E8 Pro 1-Step Challenge: The Complete Rule Breakdown”, E8 Markets official YouTube channel, June 1, 2026. Why this video: E8’s own breakdown of E8 Pro rules, the account ranked here; no official E8 video covers Kenya.

  • Price at $50K: $249 list; $187 with code E8 on a first order, no end date shown.
  • Overall loss limit: $5,000, static, the same at evaluation and funded; it moves to the starting balance after the first payout.
  • Kenya access: Named on E8’s accepted-countries article with a limit that applies only to E8 One above $200,000; the test is the country on your ID. E8’s separate futures arm does exclude Kenya.
  • Live stage: None. E8’s help centre says every account, challenge and funded, is a demo account fed by real market data.
  • Payout to Kenya: WorkMarket wire to a Kenyan bank in KES or USD (2%, $10 to $30 fee), or Rise; $100 minimum request.
  • Watch out for: The 2.5% daily drawdown ($1,250 at $50K) ends the account, and only half of your profit can be withdrawn per payout on E8 Pro.
  • Best for: Kenyan forex traders who want a static floor and a published shilling bank route.
  • Trustpilot: rating hidden behind Trustpilot’s “breach of our guidelines” banner, 3,297 reviews (read October 3, 2026). More: E8 Markets profile, payouts.

Alpha Capital Group lists Kenya by name in its prop firm checkout

Alpha Capital Group’s checkout country list has an Africa block, and Kenya is in it; the restricted countries it refuses (Russia, Belarus, Iran, Vietnam and others) are left out of that dropdown, so seeing Kenya there means something.

Alpha Pro 10% lists at $267 for $50,000 (about KES 34,646) with a $5,000 static overall loss: $267 / $5,000 x 1,000 = $53.40 per $1,000, the best of its eight $50K accounts. Alpha Pro 6% costs $217 for $3,000 ($72.33) and Alpha Pro 8% costs $297 for $4,000 ($74.25).

Its Max Risk Rule closes a funded account when the open loss on one asset reaches 2% of the balance, which is $1,000 at $50K, long before the $5,000 floor. One Kenyan reviewer on Trustpilot described a KYC hold because the firm saw two IP addresses, “One from my country Kenya and another one from USA,” and Alpha’s rules treat multi-country logins as a violation, so trade from one place.

Video: “Skip the Evaluation. Keep 90%. Start from Day 1.”, Alpha Capital Group official YouTube channel, July 26, 2026. Why this video: Alpha Capital Group’s own channel; the video covers Alpha Direct, not the Alpha Pro 10% ranked here.

  • Price at $50K: $267 list; earlier checks showed code ALPHA20 at $213.60 with an October 31, 2026 end date, not re-read on October 3.
  • Overall loss limit: $5,000, static, fixed from the starting balance.
  • Kenya access: Named in the Africa block of the checkout country list; not among its 24 countries with limitations.
  • Live stage: Alpha can move a trader to Alpha Prime live accounts after a $40,000 payout, five payouts from one account, $100,000 in lifetime payouts or for exceptional performance; a trader who declines receives a final payout and ends every tie with the Alpha Group.
  • Payout to Kenya: Rise, Wise or bank wire in US dollars, or crypto through Rise; Alpha names no Kenya-specific route.
  • Watch out for: The Alpha Prime move comes first, then the 2% one-asset Max Risk Rule ($1,000 at $50K) and the strict IP and KYC location checks.
  • Best for: Kenyans who want a firm that names their country and a static $5,000 floor.
  • Trustpilot: rating hidden behind Trustpilot’s “breach of our guidelines” banner, 21,823 reviews (read October 3, 2026). More: Alpha Capital Group profile, payouts.

FundedNext is the one prop firm here that names M-Pesa for Kenyan buyers, for paying only

FundedNext’s local payment article lists, under Kenya, “Airtel Money All Telecom Operators M-Pesa,” which makes it the only firm in this guide that names M-Pesa at all. That covers paying for the challenge. No FundedNext page names M-Pesa as a way to receive a payout.

Stellar Lite lists at $229.99 for $50,000 (about KES 29,844) with a static 8% overall loss of $4,000: $229.99 / $4,000 x 1,000 = $57.50 per $1,000. FundedNext neither names an activation fee for Stellar Lite nor says there is none, so treat $57.50 as the evaluation fee alone. Its Stellar 2-Step costs $299.99 for $5,000 ($60.00).

Safaricom’s own September 21, 2023 press release put the single M-Pesa transaction limit at KES 250,000, well above this fee. Kenya is absent from FundedNext’s current residents and citizens restricted list for CFDs, but its terms keep room to add compliance or payment-provider limits, and section 10.1 of its terms describes funded accounts as access to simulated trading only. The 4% daily loss limit ($2,000) is measured on equity and ends the challenge, and the fee refund waits for the third reward.

Video: FundedNext official YouTube channel, January 9, 2024. Why this video: FundedNext’s own explainer on resetting an account; no official video covers Stellar Lite or Kenya.

  • Price at $50K: $229.99 list; no promo on this account when we checked.
  • Overall loss limit: $4,000, static.
  • Kenya access: Absent from the residents and citizens restricted list for CFDs; final acceptance still depends on KYC and payment providers.
  • Live stage: No discretionary call-up is published for the CFD line; the terms describe funded accounts as simulated.
  • Payout to Kenya: Bank transfer ($1,000 minimum, Kenya not excluded but not named), Rise, card or USDT and USDC, with provider fees up to 3.5%.
  • Watch out for: An activation fee that is not named either way, then the equity-based daily limit, and no confirmed shilling payout route.
  • Best for: Kenyans who want to pay by M-Pesa and want a static floor at a low entry price.
  • Trustpilot: 4.5/5 on 80,702 reviews (read October 2, 2026). More: FundedNext profile, rules, payouts.
