Darwinex Zero charges a membership ($50 a month, $480 a year or $1,260 for three years outside Europe and the UK; €45, €420 or €1,080 inside) and pays you 15% of the profit made on virtual allocations. The closest Darwinex Zero alternatives keep the track-record idea but change who pays: Darwinex itself (no subscription, €500 first deposit of your own money, the same 15% on investor profits), Axi Select (free to join, $500 minimum equity, 0% to 80% profit share across six stages) and eToro Pro Investor (paid on assets copying you, not on profit). If you would rather have a pass/fail evaluation with a bigger cut, FTMO (forex/CFDs, fee from €89, rewards up to 90%), Topstep (futures, from $49 a month, 90% split) and Trade The Pool (US stocks, one-time fee from $47, 70% split) are the clearest swaps. None of them is better on every point; pick by the one thing you want to change.
Most people searching for a Darwinex Zero alternative want to fix one of four things: the recurring membership, the 15% performance fee, the months it takes before any allocation pays, or the fact that every euro of capital is virtual. This guide is built around those four problems. For each one we name the alternative that actually changes it and say what you give up in return.
Darwinex Zero is not a prop firm challenge. You pay a membership, trade a virtual account, Darwinex builds a DARWIN index from your trading, and the monthly DarwinIA programme hands out notional allocations on which you earn 15% of the profit. There is no profit target and no pass or fail. That makes like-for-like comparison awkward, so we compare on what you pay, what you can earn, whose money is at risk and how long it takes to reach real capital.
Every price, split and rule below was read from the provider’s own pages on October 11, 2026. Where a figure only appears inside checkout or after sign-up, we say so. This is a review of published terms, not a purchased-account test: no allocation, payout or support exception was measured.

BestProps has no commercial or sponsor relationship with Darwinex Zero or any provider in this guide and has received no money from them. No provider paid for placement and no referral codes are used here. Read our commercial disclosure.

What Darwinex Zero costs and pays before you switch
Darwinex Zero’s price feed and pricing page on October 11, 2026 showed $50 a month, $480 for a year ($40 a month) and $1,260 for three years ($35 a month) for traders outside Europe and the UK. Inside Europe and the UK the same plans are €45, €420 and €1,080, and the pricing FAQ says USD memberships are only for users outside those regions. Futures accounts add $6 (€5) a month for market data, so a futures monthly plan is $56. Restarts cost from $50 and are not included in upfront plans. Prices include taxes.
The three-year tab carries a promotion: a $215 Booster allocation for signing up to the three-year plan. Paying monthly performance fees instead of the default quarterly cycle costs an extra €12 or $13 a month and must be chosen within 14 days of subscribing or restarting (performance fee help page).
What you earn: 15% of net profit on allocations, measured against a high-water mark and paid quarterly by default. Once fees are paid, Darwinex Zero says withdrawals arrive in one business day (capital allocation page). Its help centre says the DARWIN is created after about 15 days of trading, joins DarwinIA SILVER automatically, and that a DARWIN with no DarwinIA allocation in its first six months gets an automatic €25,000 allocation for three months (what is Darwinex Zero). DarwinIA GOLD and outside investor capital need at least eight months of consistent results.
Break-even: at 15%, covering a €45 month takes €300 of profit on allocations in that month (€300 × 15% = €45). On the guaranteed €25,000 allocation, a 6% gain over its three months is €1,500 of profit and €225 in fees, while nine months of monthly membership up to that point costs €405. Darwinex Zero works best for traders who are patient and already consistent; it is a slow way to earn and a cheap way to build a public record.
- 14-day refund window on the first subscription if you have placed no trades; upfront plans can be cancelled but not refunded outside the policy windows (refund policy).
- Capital is notional: Darwinex Zero allocations are virtual, and your 15% is paid in real money on the virtual profit.
- Platforms: MT4, MT5 and TradingView. Leverage up to 30:1 on forex, 20:1 on indices and commodities, 5:1 on US stocks and ETFs, 1:1 on crypto CFDs.
How we chose these Darwinex Zero alternatives
We kept a provider only if it changes at least one of the four common reasons to leave: the recurring fee, the 15% share, the wait for real capital, or the virtual-only account. We excluded copy-trading signal sellers that do not pay the trader, and brokers whose investor programmes we could not read on an official page on the check date.
The alternatives fall into two groups. Investor-capital and broker-funded routes (Darwinex live, Axi Select, eToro Pro Investor) keep the long-track-record model and add real money, usually yours first. Prop evaluations (FTMO, Topstep, Trade The Pool) drop the track-record model for a pass/fail test and a much bigger profit share on simulated capital. Order inside each group follows how closely the product matches Darwinex Zero’s strengths, not a hidden score.
Prices are list prices on the stated date. Temporary codes never decide the order. EUR and USD figures are shown as each provider publishes them, without conversion.
Darwinex live is the Darwinex Zero alternative with real investor money
Darwinex Zero’s own pricing page points to the same next step: trade live with Darwinex, with no subscription fees, a migrated Zero track record, access to investor capital from day one and DarwinIA participation. On a live account the capital at risk is yours.
Darwinex packages your strategy as a DARWIN index, standardises its risk so investors can compare it with other strategies, and pays you 15% of the returns it creates for investors; Darwinex keeps 5% (become investable). Investors pay a 1.2% annual management fee and a 20% performance fee under a high-water mark (investor pricing). You can earn from three sources: DarwinIA SILVER and GOLD seed allocations, outside investors Darwinex attracts, and investors you bring yourself through Darwinex Pro.
Costs to start: the first deposit is 500 EUR, GBP or USD for individual and joint accounts (10,000 for corporate). To create a DARWIN the account needs at least 1,000 in equity, and to take part in DarwinIA it must hold at least $1,000 throughout the month (deposits and withdrawals). Darwinex learns your trading for a month before a new account can list a DARWIN; an imported MetaTrader record from another broker can be enabled at once.
Darwinex account opening, markets and the cost of real risk
Opening requires identity and residence documents under MiFID rules; the account currency (EUR, GBP or USD) cannot be changed later, there are no swap-free accounts, and Darwinex says its services may not be available in certain territories (account application guide). CFDs trade on MT4, MT5, TradingView and DXtrade; exchange futures, 800 US stocks and 100+ ETFs go through Interactive Brokers.
Worked example: a DARWIN holding €100,000 of investor money that returns 10% in a year earns €10,000 for investors before fees. Your 15% is €1,500. Darwinex’s own illustration is a DARWIN with 10 million under management returning 20% a year, which would pay 300,000 in performance fees. Unlike Zero, a losing month also costs you real money on your own deposit, and futures, stocks and ETFs at Interactive Brokers have no negative balance protection.
Choose it if you already trade profitably with your own money and want investors without a monthly membership. Stay on Zero if you want to keep your own capital out of the market while you build the record.
Axi Select is a free broker-funded alternative to Darwinex Zero
Axi Select replaces the membership with a live Axi account. Joining is free, there is no challenge, and you trade MT4 or MT5 as normal while Axi scores you with an Edge Score built from skill, risk and consistency and discounted for experience (Axi Select page). As stages unlock, Axi adds its own capital on top of your funds and pays a profit share on the 1st of every month.
| Stage | Minimum equity | Edge Score | Max multiplier | Max funding | Your share | Target | Min days | Trades | Max loss |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Seed | $500 | 50 | x10 | $5,000 | 0% | 7% | 30 | 20 | -7% |
| Incubation | $1,000 | 60 | x10 | $20,000 | 40% | 7% | 60 | 40 | -7% |
| Acceleration | $2,000 | 70 | x25 | $100,000 | 50% | 7% | 60 | 50 | -7% |
| Pro | $5,000 | 90 | x40 | $200,000 | 60% | 7% | 60 | 50 | -7% |
| Pro 500 | $10,000 | 90 | x50 | $500,000 | 70% | 7% | 60 | 50 | -7% |
| Pro M | $20,000 | 90 | x50 | $1,000,000 | 80% | None | None | None | -10% |
Worked example: at Incubation with $2,000 of your own equity, a x10 multiplier reaches the $20,000 stage cap. A 7% gain on that allocation is $1,400, and 40% of it is $560, paid on the 1st of the next month. At Seed the share is 0%, so the first stage pays nothing on Axi’s capital; it is the qualifying step. Leverage is up to 1000:1 at Seed and 100:1 from Incubation.
Axi Select eligibility and the 80% versus 90% wording
Axi’s help centre says you need an Axi trading account (Standard or Pro/Premium), cannot use history from another broker, and can hold only one Axi Select account at a time, MT4 or MT5 (how to join). Demo and PAMM/MAM accounts are ineligible and every Axi Select account is based in USD with a $500 minimum deposit (eligible accounts). Axi’s launch notice says the programme is only for clients of AxiTrader Limited and that the content is not for Australian, New Zealand or UK residents (launch announcement).
That launch notice also advertised profit shares of up to 90%. The current Axi Select page shows a maximum of 80% at Pro M, and the current page is the one we use. Compared with Darwinex Zero, Axi can pay far more than 15% once you reach the later stages, but your own deposit is live and exposed to loss.
eToro Pro Investor pays you for copiers, not for profit
eToro’s programme, now called Pro Investor (its help centre still says Popular Investor), is a different way to earn from a public record: other users copy your real portfolio and eToro pays you a percentage of the assets copying you (assets under copy, AUC). There is no profit share and no allocation of eToro’s money (Pro Investor page).
To join you need an eToro account with at least $2,000 in equity, your full name and a face photo on your profile, two months of trading history, a maximum daily risk score of 7, a weekly drawdown no worse than -25%, no single position above 50% of the portfolio, at least 30% profitable months and at least three instruments traded in the past 12 months.
| Tier | Payment | Min average monthly AUC | Min average monthly equity |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cadet | None | None | $2,000 |
| Champion | 1.5% a year of AUC, min $250, max $500 a month | $50,000 | $10,000 |
| Elite | 1.5% a year of AUC, paid monthly | $400,000 | $50,000 |
| Elite Pro | 1.5% a year up to $20M AUC, 0.5% above (or $30M with 5 years on eToro) | $10,000,000 | $100,000 |
Worked example: the formula is 1.5% × average AUC ÷ 12. At $50,000 of AUC that is $62.50, so a Champion is paid the $250 minimum. At $400,000 an Elite earns $5,000 a month. Payments are made by the 10th of each month into the eToro account, and are not made in a month you miss the requirements (how Pro Investors are paid). Higher tiers also need eToro’s investment qualifications and a monthly 100-word post.
Choose it if you can attract followers and want income that does not depend on beating a high-water mark. It is the furthest from Darwinex Zero’s risk-standardised index, and copiers see your real portfolio rather than a wrapped index.
FTMO is the Darwinex Zero alternative for a bigger forex payout share
If the 15% share is the problem, a forex prop evaluation pays far more of each dollar of simulated profit. FTMO’s 2-Step homepage table on October 11, 2026 listed one-time fees of €89 for $10,000, €250 for $25,000, €345 for $50,000, €540 for $100,000 and €1,080 for $200,000, with a conditional €439 offer shown on the $100,000 size (FTMO homepage). The fee is marked refundable (100%) and rewards go up to 90%.
Rules on every size: 10% profit target in phase 1 and 5% in phase 2, 5% maximum daily loss, 10% maximum loss, at least four trading days, unlimited time. Platforms are MT4, MT5 and cTrader. FTMO also sells a 1-Step version and advertises scaling up to $2 million.
Worked example: a $5,000 simulated gain on a funded $100,000 account pays at most $4,500 at a 90% share. To earn $4,500 at Darwinex Zero’s 15%, an allocation would need $30,000 of profit. The trade-off is a pass/fail test with hard loss limits, which Darwinex Zero does not have, and the funded account is simulated rather than investable by outsiders.
Topstep keeps a monthly plan like Darwinex Zero but for futures
Futures traders already paying $56 a month for a Darwinex Zero futures membership can compare it with a Topstep Trading Combine, which is also billed monthly (Topstep pricing help). The 50K Combine is $49 a month on the Standard Path plus a $149 activation fee once you earn an Express Funded Account, or $95 a month on the No Activation Fee Path. The 100K is $99 or $149 and the 150K is $199 or $229. Paths cannot be changed after purchase. Level 2 market depth is $38 a month; Level 1 is included.
Topstep advertises a 90% split on qualifying payouts and payout requests up to $12,000 per account, with a consistency option that keeps the best day within 40% of total profit (Topstep prop page). Lost an Express Funded Account before the first payout? Reactivation is $599 at 50K.
Worked example: two months on the 50K Standard Path and one pass cost $49 × 2 + $149 = $247; the No Activation Fee Path costs $95 × 2 = $190 for the same two months. Twelve months of a Darwinex Zero futures membership paid monthly is $672 ($56 × 12), or $552 on the yearly plan. Topstep pays 90% rather than 15%, but breaking a loss limit ends the attempt unless you pay for a reset or a new month.
Trade The Pool is the stocks alternative to Darwinex Zero
Darwinex Zero includes US stocks and ETFs in the same membership. Traders who mainly trade US shares and want a larger share can look at Trade The Pool, a stocks-only evaluation with a one-time fee. Its plan picker on October 11, 2026 listed day-trading accounts from $47 (Max, $5K buying power) to $1,475 (Flex, $200K), for example $285 Flex or $230 Max at $50K, and swing accounts from $69 to $1,240 (program page).
Day Flex needs a 6% target with a 2% daily pause and 4% maximum loss, no time limit and at least 10 positions; Day Max uses a 1% daily pause, 3% maximum loss, 60 days and 20 positions. The split is 70/30 (80/20 on the Edge programme). Payouts are every 14 days with a $300 minimum profit, paid by wire, crypto, Hub credits or card in 3 to 5 business days. Every trade must last at least 30 seconds.
Worked example: a $1,000 gain on a funded $50K day account pays $700 at 70%. At Darwinex Zero’s 15% the same $1,000 on an allocation pays $150. Trade The Pool lists forbidden territories in its terms (including Russia, Iran, Israel and Venezuela), and there is no refund once you start trading.
Track record and own capital required by each alternative
| Provider | Track record before earning | Own capital | Evaluation criteria |
|---|---|---|---|
| Darwinex Zero | About 15 days to create the DARWIN; SILVER monthly; GOLD after 8+ months | None | DarwinIA rating and Risk Engine |
| Darwinex live | One month on a new account; immediate on an imported record | €500 deposit; €1,000 equity for a DARWIN | Investor demand, DarwinIA rating |
| Axi Select | 30 days and 20 trades at Seed; 60 days per later stage | $500 to $20,000 by stage | Edge Score: skill, risk, consistency, experience |
| eToro Pro Investor | Two months of eToro history | $2,000 to $100,000 average equity | Risk score, drawdown, position size, profitable months |
| FTMO | At least four trading days per phase | Fee only | 10% and 5% targets inside 5%/10% loss limits |
| Topstep | Pass the Trading Combine | Fees only | Combine profit target and loss limits |
| Trade The Pool | Minimum positions per plan | Fee only | 6% or 15% target inside daily pause and max loss |
No provider here accepts a track record from Darwinex Zero except Darwinex itself. Axi explicitly refuses history from another broker. If you leave Zero for a prop firm, your DARWIN stays public but counts for nothing in the new evaluation.
How long until real money with each Darwinex Zero alternative
- Darwinex Zero: performance fees on virtual allocations from the first quarter after an allocation; real outside investors only from DarwinIA GOLD after at least eight months.
- Darwinex live: investor capital can arrive as soon as the DARWIN is listed, but your own deposit is real money from day one.
- Axi Select: Axi capital from Seed, but a profit share only from Incubation, which follows a 30-day minimum Seed stage.
- eToro Pro Investor: Champion payments start after the tier’s average AUC and equity are met; the Cadet tier pays nothing.
- FTMO, Topstep and Trade The Pool: payouts after passing the evaluation and meeting each firm’s payout conditions; the capital is simulated throughout.

Eligibility and country checks before you switch
- Darwinex Zero sells USD plans outside Europe and the UK and EUR plans inside; the US price feed listed plans as available on October 11, 2026.
- Darwinex says its services may not be available in some territories; check during the application before depositing.
- Axi Select is only for clients of AxiTrader, and Axi says the programme content is not for Australian, New Zealand or UK residents.
- eToro withholds Pro Investor payments if you are eligible for a local currency account and have not activated it.
- Trade The Pool publishes a forbidden-territory list; using a VPN to get around it is a breach with no refund.
- FTMO and Topstep: confirm your country is accepted on their sign-up pages before paying.
When staying with Darwinex Zero is the better choice
Darwinex Zero is still the only option here where you risk no trading capital, face no pass/fail test, and end up with a risk-standardised index that outside investors can buy. If you are early in building a record, the €45 or $50 month buys time without a loss limit closing your account. Leave when one of the four problems is real for you: the fee outweighs what allocations pay, 15% is too small for your results, you are ready to risk your own money, or you need a futures- or stocks-specific rulebook.
Darwinex Zero alternatives frequently asked questions
What is the best Darwinex Zero alternative?
There is no single best one. Darwinex live is closest if you will trade your own money; Axi Select is the free broker-funded route; FTMO, Topstep and Trade The Pool pay far more than 15% if you accept a pass/fail evaluation.
Is Darwinex Zero worth it?
It can be if you are patient and consistent. At 15%, covering a €45 month takes about €300 of profit on allocations in that month. Use the 14-day refund window, which requires no trades, before committing to a long plan.
What is Darwinex Zero and what are its benefits?
A membership that gives you a virtual account, builds a DARWIN index from your trading and enters it in monthly DarwinIA allocations, paying 15% of profit on that capital. Benefits: no trading capital at risk, no pass/fail test and a verified, investable record.
Is Darwinex Zero a prop firm?
Not in the usual sense. There is no evaluation fee, profit target or failure; you pay a membership and earn performance fees on notional allocations, with a path to real investor capital.
Is there a free alternative to Darwinex Zero?
Axi Select and eToro Pro Investor charge nothing to join, but both need your own money in a live account: $500 minimum equity at Axi and $2,000 at eToro. Darwinex live has no membership but a €500 first deposit.
Which Darwinex Zero alternative pays the highest profit share?
Among those compared, FTMO advertises rewards up to 90% and Topstep a 90% split. Axi Select reaches 80% only at its top stage. Darwinex and Darwinex Zero pay 15%.
Can I move my Darwinex Zero track record elsewhere?
Only to Darwinex: its pricing page says you can migrate your Darwinex Zero track record to a live Darwinex account. Axi says it does not accept history from other brokers, and prop firms evaluate you from scratch.
Is there a Darwinex Zero alternative for futures?
Topstep is the closest: a monthly Trading Combine from $49 a month at 50K, versus $56 a month for a Darwinex Zero futures membership, with a 90% split.
Is there a Darwinex Zero alternative for stocks?
Trade The Pool evaluates US stocks and ETFs, with one-time fees from $47 and a 70% split. Darwinex live also gives access to US stocks and ETFs through Interactive Brokers.
