Lucid Trading vs Bulenox Buyer’s Scorecard
Lucid Trading and Bulenox both sell one-time-fee futures accounts from $25,000 to $150,000, both offer an evaluation route and a straight-to-funded route, and both pay 90/10 at most stages. They differ on the details that decide a first payout: Bulenox lets you choose a real-time trailing or an end-of-day drawdown, runs everything on Rithmic, gives evaluations 30 days of access and charges an activation fee on its classic Master route. Lucid uses end-of-day drawdowns on three of four plans, adds Tradovate and TradingView, has no time limit and no activation fee, and pays any day once you are eligible.
| Decision point | Lucid Trading | Bulenox |
|---|---|---|
| Matched product (50K) | LucidFlex 50K (no activation fee) | Momentum 50K (one payment covers evaluation and Momentum Master) |
| Entry price | $136 list; $90.20 with code VAULT and the daily loss limit on | $143 one-time; code BULENOX applies an unpublished “best available discount” |
| Time limit | None: take as long as you need | Access valid for 30 days |
| Target / drawdown | $3,000 / $2,000 end of day; daily loss limit optional | $3,000 / $2,250, trailing in real time (Option 1) or end of day with a $1,200 daily loss limit (Option 2) |

| Funded payout gate | 5 days of $150+ profit, any net profit in the cycle; $500 minimum; no buffer | 5 days of $150+ profit, 35% consistency, balance of at least $53,000; $1,000 minimum |
| Payout cap (50K) | 50% of profit, up to $2,000 on every payout; up to 5 payouts | $1,500, then $2,000, $2,500, and $3,000 from the fourth payout on |

| Best fit | Traders who want no time limit, end-of-day drawdowns, TradingView or Tradovate, the lowest coded entry price and a $500 minimum payout. | Traders who want a choice of trailing or EOD drawdown, Micro Bitcoin and Micro Ether, PayPal or crypto at checkout, and payout caps that rise over time. |
Advanced checks before paying
- Choose Bulenox’s Option 1 or Option 2 carefully: the risk model is locked for the life of the account, and Option 1 trails open profit in real time.
- Add Bulenox’s Master activation fee ($143 to $498) if you buy a Qualification account; Momentum and Fast Track have none, and Lucid has none.
- Plan to pass a Bulenox evaluation inside its 30-day access window. A $78 reset does not extend it.
- Check the minimum request ($1,000 at Bulenox on most sizes, $500 at Lucid), the buffer and the cap before you count on a first payout.
- Bulenox needs a Rithmic connection and says R|Trader Pro runs on Windows only. Mac users should check their platform first.

Short answer: Lucid Trading vs Bulenox is a close race on headline terms: both sell one-time-fee futures accounts with no monthly subscription, both have a cheap evaluation (LucidFlex and Bulenox Momentum), a classic evaluation (LucidPro and the Bulenox Qualification-to-Master route) and a straight-to-funded account (LucidDirect and Bulenox Fast Track), and both pay 90/10 on most payouts. Lucid has no evaluation time limit, no activation fee, end-of-day drawdowns on most plans, Tradovate and TradingView support and a $500 minimum payout. Bulenox lets you pick a trailing or end-of-day drawdown, has larger contract limits, lists Micro Bitcoin and Micro Ether, takes PayPal and crypto at checkout, advertises the first $10,000 of payouts at 100%, and its payout caps rise over time, but its evaluations expire after 30 days, its classic Master route adds an activation fee and pays weekly, and most of its payouts have a $1,000 minimum. Neither firm is better for everyone.
This page compares Bulenox and Lucid Trading plan by plan. Every number comes from the firms’ own websites, help centres and published documents, read on October 13, 2026, and the sources are listed at the end. Where a firm’s own pages disagree with each other, we say so and show both readings.

Bulenox rebuilt its plan line-up in 2026. Reviews that describe a monthly Bulenox subscription refer to its earlier model: the current Qualification, Momentum and Fast Track accounts are one-time purchases, and Qualification access “simply expires at the end of the subscription cycle” with no further charge. Both firms run simulated evaluation and funded accounts, payouts in the funded stage come from simulated profits under each firm’s rules, and only a small share of traders reach live capital. This is educational research, not financial advice.

How the plans pair up
The firms use different names, but three of their products line up closely. The Momentum and LucidFlex payout gates even use the same daily profit thresholds.
| If you want… | Bulenox plan | Closest Lucid plan | Main difference |
|---|---|---|---|
| The cheapest evaluation | Momentum | LucidFlex | Both need 5 days of $100 / $150 / $200 / $250 profit per payout cycle. Momentum adds a 35% consistency rule and a minimum balance but lifts its cap with each payout; Flex has no funded consistency rule and no buffer but pays at most 50% of profit, up to a fixed cap, five times. |
| A classic evaluation, then a funded stage | Qualification → Master | LucidPro | Both use a 40% funded consistency rule. Master adds an activation fee, 10 trading days per payout, weekly Wednesday processing and a $1,000 minimum, then removes the cap after payout 3. LucidPro pays any day with a $500 minimum and caps of $1,000–$3,500. |
| Skip the evaluation | Fast Track | LucidDirect | Same first profit goals ($1,500 / $3,000 / $6,000 / $9,000) and nearly the same caps. Fast Track’s consistency rule loosens from 20% to 30%; Direct stays at 20%. Fast Track has a $1,000 minimum and same-day processing. |
| Daily payout requests from a cheap evaluation | Momentum (requests processed the same day) | LucidDaily | LucidDaily has no per-payout cap but switches to an intraday drawdown when funded and bans red-folder news. Momentum keeps your chosen drawdown and allows news. |
Lucid also has legacy products (LucidBlack and older live and LucidMaxx structures), and accounts bought under older terms keep them. Bulenox’s older subscription-era accounts work the same way. Neither firm’s legacy terms are part of this comparison. For every Lucid plan side by side, see Lucid Trading accounts compared.
Prices and all-in cost at 25K, 50K, 100K and 150K
Lucid publishes list prices and an always-on code, VAULT, which takes 30% off its evaluations and LucidDirect, plus a $5 or $10 discount on LucidPro and LucidFlex when you keep the daily loss limit on. Bulenox shows one price per account and an “always-on coupon”, BULENOX, which its site says “applies the best available discount” to Qualification, Fast Track and Momentum accounts. Bulenox does not show the size of that discount before checkout, so the Bulenox prices below are the prices on its pricing page. BestProps has no codes of its own; our Lucid Trading deals page tracks Lucid’s offers.

| Fast Track (straight to a simulated funded account) | $338 | $488 | $648 | $788 |

| LucidDirect with VAULT | $230.30 | $360.50 | $490.00 | $585.20 |
Resets, renewals and other costs
- Bulenox reset: $78 on a Qualification account, processed instantly. It clears your profit, losses and trading days and “does not extend your 30-day access period”. The help centre does not publish a separate Momentum reset price. A Master account that breaches can be reset only by arrangement with support, at a fee “calculated individually”.
- Lucid resets (list): LucidPro $75 / $120 / $190 / $255, LucidFlex $55 / $95 / $180 / $260, LucidDaily EOD $65 / $95 / $155 / $220 and intraday $55 / $75 / $125 / $180. VAULT does not discount resets; the DLL-on discount does. LucidDirect has no reset, and funded accounts cannot be reset. Lucid deletes a breached evaluation after 30 days unless you reset it.
- Market data: both firms include exchange data for non-professional traders. A professional trader pays $116 a month at Bulenox (pricing page and FAQ) or $112 per exchange per month (its Rithmic connection article). Lucid’s setup guide lists $112 per exchange per month for professionals.
- Automation: Bulenox adds $100 a month if you connect to Rithmic through a third-party API or composite software. Lucid publishes no automation fee.
All-in cost to reach a funded account at 50K
| Route (50K) | Up-front cost | With one reset | What you get |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bulenox Momentum | $143 | $221 if the $78 Qualification reset price applies (not published for Momentum) | Momentum Master, no activation fee |
| Bulenox Qualification + Master | $323 ($175 + $148) | $401 | Master account |
| Bulenox Fast Track | $488 | No reset; a breach ends the account | Simulated funded account from day one |
| LucidFlex (VAULT, DLL on) | $90.20 | $185.20 with the $95 reset | LucidFlex funded |
| LucidPro (VAULT, DLL on) | $115.40 | $230.40 with the $115 reset | LucidPro funded |
| LucidDirect (VAULT) | $360.50 | No reset | Simulated funded account from day one |
Profit targets, time limits and how fast you can pass
Targets are the same at three of four sizes: $3,000 at 50K, $6,000 at 100K and $9,000 at 150K. At 25K Bulenox asks for $1,500 and Lucid for $1,250.
| Plan (50K) | Target | Max loss | Minimum days | Evaluation consistency | Time limit |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Bulenox Qualification | $3,000 | $2,500 (trailing or EOD) | None | None | 30 days of access |
| Bulenox Momentum | $3,000 | $2,250 (trailing or EOD) | None | None | 30 days of access |
| LucidPro | $3,000 | $2,000 EOD | 1 day | None | None |
| LucidFlex | $3,000 | $2,000 EOD | 2 days in practice | 50% | None |
| LucidDaily | $3,000 | $2,000 (EOD or intraday) | 2 days in practice | 50% | None |
Bulenox’s Qualification account has the most room in the evaluation: $2,500 of drawdown at 50K against Lucid’s $2,000, and $1,500 at 25K against $1,000. The trade-off is time. Bulenox says you can pass “in as little as one day”, but your access ends after 30 days whether or not you have passed, and a reset does not add time. Lucid evaluations never expire, although Lucid deletes any account that goes 30 calendar days without at least $1 of net profit or loss.
After you pass, Bulenox reviews the Qualification account and then emails a certificate, the Master Account Agreement and activation instructions. The activation link is valid for 7 days. Momentum Masters are “activated free of charge as soon as your Momentum account is approved”. Lucid upgrades a passed evaluation “within 5-30 minutes of hitting profit target” with no activation step.
Drawdown rules: trailing, end of day and where they lock
This is the biggest design difference. Bulenox asks you to choose a risk model before you buy, and the choice is “locked for the life of the account”:
- Option 1 (trailing): the threshold follows your highest account value in real time, “including both realized and unrealized (open) profits”, and includes commissions. Full contract size from day one, no daily loss limit.
- Option 2 (end of day): the threshold moves only on closing balances, with a daily loss limit and, on Qualification and Master accounts, a scaling plan.
Lucid has no trailing-in-real-time option on Pro, Flex or Direct: their drawdowns are end of day in both stages. LucidDaily is the exception: you choose an EOD or intraday evaluation at checkout, and the funded account is always intraday.
| Plan (50K) | Funded-stage drawdown | Where it locks |
|---|---|---|
| Bulenox Master (from Qualification) | $2,500, Option 1 trailing or Option 2 EOD | At $50,100 once the account reaches $52,600; it never moves again |
| Bulenox Fast Track | $2,250, trailing or EOD | At starting balance + $100 ($50,100) once reached |
| Bulenox Momentum Master | $2,250, trailing or EOD | The Momentum articles do not restate the lock level; the Master and Fast Track articles both lock at starting balance + $100 |
| LucidPro / LucidFlex | $2,000 EOD | At $50,100 once the balance closes above $52,100. Flex also locks there as soon as you request a payout |
| LucidDirect | $2,000 EOD | At $50,100 after $52,100 |
| LucidDaily | $2,000 intraday | At $50,100 after $52,100 |
Worked example from Bulenox’s own help centre. On a $100,000 Option 1 account with a $3,000 trailing drawdown, a trade that shows $800 of open profit lifts the threshold from $97,000 to $97,800. If you close that trade for $500, the balance is $100,500 but the threshold stays at $97,800, so you now have $2,700 of room, not $3,000. On Option 2 the same round trip leaves the threshold at $97,000 because only the closing balance counts.
What that means in practice. Traders who let winners run and give some back lose room every time on a real-time trail. If that is you, Bulenox Option 2 or any Lucid Pro, Flex or Direct account keeps the floor still during the session. Traders who take quick, clean exits and want the full contract limit from day one may prefer Bulenox Option 1, which has no daily loss limit. Our EOD drawdown prop firm list compares more firms on this.
Daily loss limits
| Plan | 25K | 50K | 100K | 150K | How it works |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Bulenox Qualification / Master, Option 2 | $500 | $1,100 | $2,200 | $3,300 | Soft: trading stops for the session. Removed on a Master once the drawdown locks |
| Bulenox Momentum, Option 2 | $600 | $1,200 | $2,500 | $3,300 | Soft pause for the session |
| Bulenox Fast Track, Option 2 | None | $1,200 | $2,500 | $3,300 | Stays “for the whole life of the account” |
| Bulenox Option 1 (all accounts) | None | None | None | None | — |
| LucidPro / LucidFlex (optional) | $600* | $1,200 | $1,800 | $2,700 | Soft; chosen at checkout and cannot be changed. On Pro it becomes 60% of peak end-of-day profit once funded and above the trail balance |
| LucidDirect | None | $1,200 | $2,100 | $3,000 | Soft; then the same 60% scaling limit |
*Lucid’s LucidPro evaluation article lists no daily loss limit at 25K, while its funded-account article and pricing card show $600. Bulenox’s daily loss limit counts open and closed P&L including commissions between 5:00 PM and 4:00 PM CT.
Consistency rules
Both firms use the same formula: your best day’s profit divided by your total profit for the payout cycle. Missing the percentage never closes an account at either firm; you keep trading until the ratio comes into line.
| Plan | Evaluation | Funded (per payout cycle) |
|---|---|---|
| Bulenox Qualification → Master | None | 40% on every request; the Safety Threshold Reserve is counted in the first calculation |
| Bulenox Momentum → Momentum Master | None | 35% |
| Bulenox Fast Track | No evaluation | 20% for payout 1, 25% for payout 2, 30% from payout 3 |
| LucidPro | None | 40% (35% for accounts bought or reset before November 28, 2025, 3 PM EST) |
| LucidFlex | 50% | None |
| LucidDaily | 50% | None |
| LucidDirect | No evaluation | 20% |
Worked example at 50K. Suppose your best day in a cycle is $1,200. LucidFlex needs no minimum total. Momentum (35%) needs $3,429 of cycle profit. Master and LucidPro (40%) need $3,000. Fast Track’s first payout (20%) and LucidDirect (20%) need $6,000. Bulenox’s Master example: a $2,500 best day on $5,000 total is 50% and fails, and the same day on $7,500 total is 33.33% and passes. For more Lucid examples, see our Lucid Trading consistency rule guide.
Payouts: split, gates, minimums and caps
| Plan | Split | Gate before a request | Minimum | Maximum per payout (25K / 50K / 100K / 150K) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Bulenox Master | First $10,000 at 100%, then 90/10 | 10 trading days per cycle; balance above start + Safety Threshold Reserve ($1,600 / $2,600 / $3,100 / $4,600) + the request | $1,000 | Payouts 1–3: $1,000 / $1,500 / $1,750 / $2,000. From payout 4: no maximum |
| Bulenox Momentum Master | First $10,000 at 100% (plan card), 90/10 (FAQ) | 5 days of $100 / $150 / $200 / $250 profit; balance of at least $26,500 / $53,000 / $104,500 / $156,500; after payout 1, new profit of $1,000 / $2,000 / $3,500 / $5,000 | $500 (25K) or $1,000 | 1st: $1,000 / $1,500 / $2,000 / $2,500. 2nd: $1,000 / $2,000 / $2,500 / $3,000. 3rd: $1,000 / $2,500 / $3,000 / $4,000. 4th on: $1,000 / $3,000 / $4,000 / $5,000 |
| Bulenox Fast Track | 90/10 (help centre); first $10,000 at 100% (plan card) | Profit goal $1,500 / $3,000 / $6,000 / $9,000, then $1,000 / $2,000 / $3,000 / $4,500 of new profit | $1,000 | Payouts 1–3: $1,000 / $2,000 / $2,500 / $3,000. From payout 4: $1,250 / $2,500 / $3,000 / $3,500 |
| LucidPro | 90/10 | Profit goal $250 / $500 / $750 / $1,000 per cycle; balance above $26,100 / $52,100 / $103,100 / $154,600 | $500 | Payout 1: $1,000 / $2,000 / $2,500 / $3,000. From payout 2: $1,500 / $2,500 / $3,000 / $3,500 |
| LucidFlex | 90/10 | 5 days of $100 / $150 / $200 / $250 profit; any net profit in the cycle; no buffer | $500 | 50% of profit, up to $1,000 / $2,000 / $2,500 / $3,000; up to 5 payouts |
| LucidDaily | 90/10 | Balance above $26,100 / $52,100 / $103,100 / $154,600; any net profit since the last payout | $500 | All profit above the buffer; a day at $6,000 / $8,000 / $10,000 / $12,000 profit triggers a move to live |
| LucidDirect | 90/10 | Profit goal $1,500 / $3,000 / $6,000 / $9,000, then $1,250 / $2,500 / $3,500 / $4,500 | $500 | Payouts 1–3: $1,000 / $2,000 / $2,500 / $3,000. Payouts 4–5: $1,000 / $2,500 / $3,000 / $3,500 |
Source conflicts worth knowing. Bulenox’s plan cards and homepage say the first $10,000 of payouts is 100% yours on every account type, and its Master article describes 90% “of each additional payout”. Its Fast Track payout article says only that the trader keeps 90%, and its FAQ gives 90/10 without the $10,000 exception. Lucid’s LucidPro and LucidDirect funded-account overviews say “No simulated payout caps” while their payout articles publish the caps above, and its LucidFlex article says “50% of their account balance” in one sentence and “50% of Profit” in its table. Ask each firm’s support which wording applies to your account before you plan around it.
Worked first-payout examples at 50K
These examples assume every day-count, consistency and profit-goal rule is already met. Bulenox amounts are shown at 100% (the “first $10,000” terms) with the 90/10 amount in brackets.
| Plan (50K) | Profit $3,000: request | You receive | Profit $6,000: request | You receive |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Bulenox Master | Nothing: you need $53,600 for the $1,000 minimum | $0 | $1,500 (cap; $3,400 is above the reserve) | $1,500 ($1,350) |
| Bulenox Momentum Master | $1,500 (cap; balance at the $53,000 minimum) | $1,500 ($1,350) | $1,500 (cap) | $1,500 ($1,350) |
| Bulenox Fast Track | $2,000 (cap) | $2,000 ($1,800) | $2,000 (cap) | $2,000 ($1,800) |
| LucidFlex | $1,500 (50% of profit) | $1,350 | $2,000 (cap) | $1,800 |
| LucidPro | $900 (above $52,100) | $810 | $2,000 (cap) | $1,800 |
| LucidDirect | $2,000 (cap) | $1,800 | $2,000 (cap) | $1,800 |
What this shows: for a first payout, Fast Track and LucidDirect pay the most because neither keeps a buffer above the profit goal. LucidFlex and Momentum pay about the same on a small first cycle. The classic Bulenox Master pays nothing until profit clears $3,600 at 50K. Over time the picture changes: Bulenox Master has no cap from payout 4, Momentum’s cap rises to $3,000 at 50K, and Lucid’s Flex cap stays at $2,000 for all five payouts. For how caps work across the industry, see how prop firm payout caps work.
Bulenox Fast Track vs LucidDirect: the straight-to-funded options
These are the closest pair in the comparison. Both skip the evaluation, both start you in a simulated funded account, and both use the same first profit goals.

Reading the pair. At 50K Fast Track costs less than LucidDirect at list price but more than LucidDirect with Lucid’s code. Fast Track gives more drawdown and more contracts at 50K and above, and its consistency rule loosens after the first payout. LucidDirect has a lower minimum request and only an end-of-day drawdown, so open-profit swings never move its floor. Our LucidDirect rules and payouts guide and the instant funding futures firms list go further.
Payout methods and speed
- Bulenox: you can request any day. Fast Track and Momentum requests are processed the same day (Fast Track: if submitted before 12:01 PM CT, Monday to Friday). Master payouts are processed once a week on Wednesdays; to make the next Wednesday, request by 11:59 PM CT on Friday, and the days between the request and Wednesday do not count toward the next 10 trading days. Payouts go by ACH or wire transfer or by PayPal. Bulenox charges no transfer fee, but banks or PayPal may. Before the first payout you submit a withdrawal form, ID and a W-9 (US) or W-8BEN (non-US), signed by hand; electronic signatures are not accepted.
- Lucid: request any day once eligible. Funds leave the account within minutes and are disbursed within 2 business days; Lucid’s FAQ says payouts typically arrive “within 5–15 minutes for Plaid, or up to 2 business days if international”. Methods are Plaid for US traders, WorkMarket by ADP (bank transfer or PayPal) for US and international traders, and BTC, ETH, LTC, USDT or USDC for international traders. KYC is requested at payout when the provider needs it. Requests are final and can
