TL;DR: Alpha Futures is a UK futures prop firm (Alpha Futures Limited, part of Alpha Group) that sells four account types: Zero, Standard and Advanced evaluations billed monthly, and Direct, a one-time purchase that starts on a Qualified account. Every current plan pays a 90% split, uses an end-of-day trailing Maximum Loss Limit, and carries no activation fee for accounts bought after July 8, 2026. Monthly prices run from $89 (25K Zero) to $489 (150K Advanced), and Direct costs $349 to $859. Platforms are AlphaTrader, TradingView through Plus500, WealthCharts, DeepChart and Quantower; Tradovate is no longer offered. The firm restricts 61 countries. In July 2026 it closed its Premium plan after a platform partner ended its contract, and some Premium payouts were still pending in October 2026, which is the main thing to weigh before buying.

Alpha Futures review verdict

Alpha Futures publishes unusually detailed rules. Each account type has its own help centre page with the profit target, Maximum Loss Limit, daily loss guard, reset price, position limit, consistency rule, payout cap and split, and the firm’s own pages mostly agree with each other. The rule set has real trader-friendly points: the drawdown trails only on end-of-day balances and stops at the starting balance, the split is 90% from the first payout, the Advanced account allows up to $15,000 per withdrawal, and evaluations can be passed in as little as one day on Zero.

The weak point is recent operating history. On July 12, 2026 a platform partner ended its contract with the firm, the Premium plan was closed and refunded, and traders who had already been approved for Premium payouts were told those payouts would be paid in batches. The firm said on September 15, 2026 that approved payouts now arrive in five business days or less, but Reddit and Trustpilot posts from early October 2026 still describe Premium payouts waiting more than three months. One large comparison site delisted the firm over that decision.

Is Alpha Futures a good prop firm? On paper its current rules are clear and competitive. In practice, a buyer is relying on a firm that has just been through a disruptive platform change and still has a public payout backlog. BestProps does not give the firm a numeric score in this review. Treat it as a firm to buy from only with money you can afford to lose, and keep records of every rule, request and reply.

Alpha Futures July 2026 Premium closure and payout delays

This history matters for anyone asking whether Alpha Futures is legit, because it explains most of the negative posts you will find. The sequence below comes from the firm’s own announcements unless another source is named.

The firm’s partner-exit post does not name the partner. Prop Firm Match, which delisted Alpha Futures on July 12, 2026, says the agreement that ended was with NinjaTrader (Tradovate) and that Zero, Advanced and Direct accounts moved to AlphaTrader. Its notice also says the firm’s original announcement stated pending Premium payouts would not be honoured beyond those already paid. The firm’s later posts say approved Premium payouts will be paid. BestProps cannot see the payout queue, so it reports both statements with their dates rather than deciding which outcome a given trader will get.

Two practical points follow. First, plan rules that existed before July 2026 (the Premium plan, older activation fees, Tradovate access) are no longer current, so older reviews and videos can be wrong. Second, payout speed is the claim to test yourself: request a small first payout and time it before scaling up.

Alpha Futures account types compared

Alpha Futures currently sells four account types. Zero, Standard and Advanced are evaluations: you pass a profit target in a simulated account, complete KYC and a contract, and then trade a Qualified account (the firm’s name for its funded stage). Direct skips the evaluation and starts on a Qualified account straight away, which is the firm’s straight-to-funded option.

Alpha Futures Zero account

The Zero account is named after its $0 activation fee. It has no consistency rule on the evaluation and a one-day minimum, so a single strong day can pass it. The trade-off is a 2% Daily Loss Guard on both evaluation and Qualified accounts and the smallest payout caps ($1,000, $1,500 and $2,500 per request on 25K, 50K and 100K). It is the only plan with a 25K evaluation.

Alpha Futures Standard account

Standard has no daily loss guard during the evaluation but a 50% consistency rule and a two-day minimum. Once Qualified, a daily loss guard and a 40% consistency rule apply, and payout caps are roughly double Zero’s. Standard is also the only plan with a scaling plan on every size.

Alpha Futures Advanced account

Advanced is the most expensive evaluation and has the tightest drawdown relative to the target (for example $1,750 of drawdown against a $4,000 target on 50K). In exchange it removes almost every Qualified-stage restriction: no daily loss guard, no consistency rule, no news rule, no scaling plan, and a $15,000 maximum per withdrawal on every size. The firm limits traders who hold an active Advanced Qualified account to three Qualified accounts in total.

Alpha Futures Direct account

Direct, launched July 7, 2026, is a one-time purchase that starts on a Qualified account. There is no evaluation profit target, but a withdrawal profit target works the same way: you must make $1,500, $3,000, $6,000 or $9,000 (25K to 150K) of fresh profit before the first request, then $1,000, $2,000, $4,000 or $6,000 before each later request, and leftover profit does not carry into the next cycle. A 20% consistency rule and a daily loss limit apply.

Alpha Futures pricing, resets and current codes

How the monthly billing works

The help centre says the evaluation fee rebills every month from the sign-up date until you pass, that the subscription ends automatically when you pass, and that Qualified traders do not pay a monthly subscription. If you fail, the account is reset to its starting balance on the next rebill. If the account is still open near the rebill date, the dashboard asks 24 hours before whether you want to reset it or carry on at the same level. Buying a reset mid-month does not move the rebill date. You cancel in the Billing section of the dashboard.

The product pages are less clear. Their Qualified account cards show the same “per month” figure as the evaluation and say your monthly stays the same after you qualify. BestProps reads the help centre as the more specific statement, but you should confirm in writing whether a Qualified account carries any recurring charge before buying.

Alpha Futures reset options

An evaluation reset returns the starting balance, Maximum Loss Limit and trading-day count to their defaults and can be bought at any time during the subscription. A newer Qualified reset is available only on Zero and Standard accounts: it can be used twice on one account, only if that account has never reached a payout request, and only within seven days of the breach. Advanced Qualified accounts have no reset, and a breached Direct account ends; you buy a new one.

Current Alpha Futures discount codes

The official promotions page, last updated October 6, 2026, lists two active codes for October 6 to October 31, 2026: ALPHA40 for 40% off Zero accounts and ALPHA50 for 50% off Standard, Advanced and Direct. The page says promo pricing applies to evaluation fees only and that a code that fails at checkout may have ended early. The product pages’ browser titles still mention an older “TRADINGVIEW” code, which the promotions page no longer lists. Coupon sites list other codes that BestProps could not confirm with the firm.

Example List price Code Price after code
Zero 50K, first month $139 ALPHA40 $83.40
Standard 50K, first month $129 ALPHA50 $64.50
Advanced 100K, first month $349 ALPHA50 $174.50
Direct 50K, one time $519 ALPHA50 $259.50

The promotions page does not say whether the discount repeats on later monthly rebills or applies to resets. A worked total for a Standard 50K trader who fails once, buys one reset and passes in the first month: $64.50 with ALPHA50, plus $109 for the reset (assuming the code does not cover resets), for $173.50 before reaching a Qualified account with no activation fee. Failing into a second month instead adds another rebill, at $129 if the discount does not repeat.

Alpha Futures activation fee

Does Alpha Futures have an activation fee? Not on accounts bought now. Zero has always been sold with a $0 activation fee. The current Standard pages say there is no activation fee on Standard. The help centre’s activation fee article says Advanced Qualified accounts used to carry a one-time $149 activation fee, payable within 30 days of passing, and that accounts purchased after the July 8, 2026 announcement no longer need it. Direct has no separate activation fee because the one-time fee already buys a Qualified account.

The discontinued Premium plan is no longer sold, so a Premium activation fee no longer applies to new buyers; the firm’s current pages do not publish what it was. If you passed an Advanced evaluation bought before July 8, 2026, check your dashboard for any activation fee still shown against that account.

Activation now has three steps: pass KYC through Veriff (the compliance team allows up to 48 hours, and you can do it before or during your evaluation), sign the Qualified trader contract in the dashboard within 30 days of passing, and pay any activation fee that still applies to an older Advanced account. The firm says the Qualified account follows within 24 hours of those steps. Compare other options on the BestProps list of futures prop firms with no activation fee.

Alpha Futures drawdown and daily loss rules

Every Alpha Futures account uses an end-of-day (EOD) trailing Maximum Loss Limit. The limit is measured from the highest end-of-day balance, not the intraday equity high, and it stops trailing once it reaches the starting balance. Breaching it on floating or closed equity liquidates the account.

The firm’s own example on a 50K Zero account: the limit starts at $48,000. Make $500 on day one and the end-of-day balance is $50,500, so the limit rises to $48,500. Lose $500 the next day and the balance returns to $50,000 but the limit stays at $48,500. If the end-of-day balance ever reaches $52,000, the limit locks at $50,000 for the life of the account. The firm also says the limit does not drop to zero after a first withdrawal, so a limit of $49,200 before a payout is still $49,200 afterwards.

One trap with any EOD trailing limit: an intraday peak does not move the limit, but closing the day at a high does. A trader on a 50K Zero account who closes at $51,800 has a limit of $49,800 the next morning, leaving $2,000 of room measured from that close, not from the original balance. The BestProps drawdown calculator can model the numbers, and the trailing drawdown rules guide compares how other firms calculate it.

The Daily Loss Guard is a soft breach. It equals 2% of the starting balance on Zero accounts ($500, $1,000 and $2,000) and applies to Standard Qualified, Zero and Direct accounts at the amounts in the table above. When the day’s P&L, including unrealised P&L and simulated commissions, reaches the guard, positions are flattened, orders are cancelled and the account is locked until the next trading day at 6 PM ET. The account is not lost. The firm warns that the guard is filled at market and can slip past the exact figure, so it is not a substitute for a stop loss. Advanced accounts have no preset guard, but you can set your own in the platform.

Alpha Futures consistency rule with worked examples

The consistency rule compares your biggest single trading day with your total net profit. Breaking it never fails the account; it only stops you from passing or requesting a payout until you have made enough additional profit.

Stage Zero Standard Advanced Direct
Evaluation None Best day no more than 50% of net profit Best day no more than 40% of net profit No evaluation
Qualified Best day under 40% of profit since last request Best day under 40% of profit since last request None Best day under 20% of profit since last request

The formula is biggest day divided by net profit. To find the profit you need, divide your biggest day by the percentage. Worked examples:

  • Advanced 100K evaluation, $8,000 target, 40% rule. The firm recommends keeping your best day at $3,200 or less. If your best day is $4,000, you need $10,000 of net profit ($4,000 divided by 0.40) before you pass, $2,000 more than the target.
  • Standard 50K evaluation, $3,000 target, 50% rule. A best day of $2,000 means you need $4,000 of net profit before the evaluation passes.
  • Zero 50K Qualified, 40% rule. With $2,000 of profit since your last request, your biggest day must stay under $800. A single $1,000 day means you need more than $2,500 of profit before you can request.
  • Direct 50K, 20% rule, $3,000 first withdrawal target. Because the best day must stay under 20%, a $3,000 cycle needs a best day below $600, which in practice means at least six profitable days. A $900 day pushes the profit you need above $4,500.

Alpha Futures runs an official consistency calculator at consistencycalculator.alpha-futures.com, and the dashboard shows the live value. The rule resets after each withdrawal request. For a cross-firm view, see the BestProps consistency rule guide.

Alpha Futures position size and scaling plan

Maximum position size is quoted in minis, with ten micros counting as one mini. Micro Bitcoin and Micro Ether are treated as full-size contracts because of their volatility, so five MBT count as five contracts.

The scaling plan is the trap most likely to surprise a new Qualified trader on Standard and Zero. On Standard 50K the evaluation allows 5 minis, but a new Qualified account starts at 2 minis until it has $1,500 of profit, then 3 minis from $1,500, and 5 minis from $2,000. Standard 100K starts at 3 minis and reaches 10 at $3,000. Standard 150K starts at 3 minis and reaches 15 only at $4,500. Zero 50K starts at 1 mini and reaches 3 at $2,000, and Zero 100K starts at 2 minis and reaches 6 at $4,500. Advanced and Direct accounts have no scaling plan; Direct sizes are fixed at 2, 4, 8 and 10 minis.

Alpha Futures trading hours, news and prohibited strategies

Trading hours. The trading day runs from 6 PM ET to 5 PM ET the next day, Sunday evening to Friday afternoon. All simulated positions must be closed by 4:20 PM ET; the firm closes anything left open. There is no overnight or weekend holding on simulated accounts. Products are CME Group futures across CME, CBOT, NYMEX and COMEX.

News. Evaluations have no news restriction, and neither do Advanced Qualified accounts. On Zero, Standard and Direct Qualified accounts you may hold through a release but may not place any order from two minutes before to two minutes after a high-impact (red folder) ForexFactory event for the asset you trade; for a speech, the window applies to its start time only. A first violation is a warning with the trade’s profit voided and the payout denied; later violations breach the account. See the BestProps news trading rules guide.

Prohibited strategies. The prohibited-practices article bans fully automated, AI or bot trading (semi-automated signals are allowed if you place and manage trades yourself), strategies taking more than 100 trades a day, tick or micro scalping (trades under 10 ticks and under 2 minutes as a clear pattern), order-book spamming, all-or-nothing max-size bets that use the daily loss guard as a stop, account rolling or stacking, hedging across accounts or between NQ and MNQ, group trading, and VPN use (a VPS is allowed). Trading within 2% of a CME price limit is also banned; for equity index futures with a 7% overnight limit, that means stopping at a 5% net move on the day.

The tick-scalping rule is the one most Reddit and Trustpilot complaints cite. The firm says there is no “must hold past X minutes” rule and that it only acts on a clear pattern, but denied traders say a large share of short trades was enough. If your edge relies on many quick trades, keep a log of hold times and tick targets before requesting a payout.

Copy trading and inactivity. Copying trades between your own accounts is allowed (AlphaTrader has a built-in copier), but the firm takes no responsibility for copier errors and recommends using your smallest account as the leader. You must place at least one trade every 10 trading days to keep an account active.

Alpha Futures funded account payouts

On Zero, Standard and Advanced Qualified accounts you can request a payout after every five winning days of $200 or more (they need not be consecutive), up to four times a month, and each request can be up to 50% of the profit in the account, within the plan’s minimum and maximum. You receive 90% of the amount requested. Direct accounts have no winning-day requirement; you request once the withdrawal profit target and 20% consistency rule are met.

Worked example Profit since last request Request You receive at 90%
Zero 50K, 5 winning days $2,000 $1,000 (50% of profit; cap $1,500) $900
Standard 100K, 5 winning days $6,000 $3,000 (50%; cap $4,000) $2,700
Advanced 150K, 5 winning days $30,000 $15,000 (50%, equal to the cap) $13,500
Direct 50K, first cycle $3,000 target reached $2,000 (cap) $1,800

Minimums matter at the low end: Advanced needs at least $2,000 of profit for a 50% request to reach the $1,000 minimum, and Standard needs $1,000 to reach $500. The remaining profit stays in the account as extra room above the drawdown limit.

Payouts are paid in US dollars by ACH (US banks), wire, SWIFT, Wise or Rise; Rise users sign an agreement before the first payment. The firm’s September 15, 2026 update says approved payouts are paid in five business days or less and that same-day payouts are the next goal. Reddit posts from September describe approval in about three business days and Wise transfers taking longer. On a cross-firm basis, the BestProps payout readiness checklist and payout caps guide cover what to record before requesting.

Payout proof. The firm’s site claims $70 million in performance fees paid and posts weekly payout highlights on its official subreddit. Those are the firm’s own figures and were not audited by BestProps.

Alpha Futures live account and Alpha Prime

All evaluation and Qualified accounts are simulated; the terms say the funds are virtual and the trading is not real. A live account is a separate step the firm offers by invitation. Its risk team may call a trader to live after, for example, five payouts on one Qualified account or strong lifetime results.

When called up, all Qualified accounts are closed, and the trader gets one live account per Qualified account that has reached at least one payout, starting at a $0 balance with an EOD drawdown of $1,000, $2,000, $3,000 or $4,500 depending on size. The trader then chooses between the Alpha Futures Live Program (80% split, daily uncapped withdrawals of gains above the starting balance, Qualified sim profits forfeited) and the Alpha Prime Program (60% split plus a 12-month salary funded from 50% of existing Qualified sim profit, capped at $75,000, with coaching from the London trading floor). The help centre states that traders who decline the live programs give up all relations with any branch of Alpha Group, so read that article before accepting a large Qualified balance.

A trader who loses a live account faces a cool-down of up to three months before returning to simulated trading, and payout requests above $10,000 after returning go towards funding the next live account.

How many Alpha Futures accounts you can have

The help centre’s Maximum Allocation article (July 27, 2026) sets these Qualified account limits:

  • Zero: 5 Qualified accounts
  • Standard: 5 Qualified accounts (Standard accounts bought before July 27, 2026 are limited to 3)
  • Direct: 5 Qualified accounts
  • Advanced: 3 Qualified accounts, and anyone with an active Advanced Qualified account is limited to 3 in total

There is no limit on how many evaluations you run, but the prohibited-practices article bans storing passed accounts to roll into after a breach. Only one username is allowed per person and one individual per household. At the largest size, five 150K Qualified accounts give $750,000 of simulated allocation; a trader holding Advanced accounts is capped at three, or $450,000. The terms and the Direct product page word the limits slightly differently (see the source conflicts section), so confirm your exact limit with support before buying extra accounts.
