Lucid Trading vs Top One Futures Buyer’s Scorecard
Lucid Trading and Top One Futures both sell simulated futures accounts with end-of-day drawdowns, a 90/10 simulated split, one-day passes, daily-payout plans and straight-to-funded accounts. The structural differences are in how you pay and what you are allowed to do. Lucid charges one fee and no activation fee; Top One’s Elite ACCESS starts at $39 but charges an activation fee of $69 to $359 when you pass. Lucid permits automated trading and offers Rithmic platforms; Top One bans EAs and bots and runs on Tradovate, NinjaTrader, TradingView, BlackArrow and WealthCharts. Top One gives fewer contracts per account size and, on its newer plans, a funded news rule and a scaling plan.

| Entry price | $172 one-time list; $115.40 with Lucid’s published VAULT code (30% off) and the daily loss limit on | $39 evaluation fee as advertised on the plan cards and help centre, then a $189 activation fee after you pass ($94 if you choose the intraday funded drawdown) |
| Monthly rebill | None on any plan | Elite ACCESS: one-time at checkout and in the help centre, although its plan cards say “Monthly payment”. Elite Daily: labelled monthly at checkout until you pass |
| Profit target / minimum days / time limit | $3,000; 1 day; no time limit | $3,000; 1 day; 30 days |

| Best fit | Traders who run automated strategies, use Rithmic platforms such as Sierra Chart, Bookmap, ATAS or Quantower, want more contracts per account size, uncapped daily payouts (LucidDaily), lower published commissions or a 90/10 split that continues in live. | Traders who want the cheapest possible attempts ($39 evaluations with $35 resets), Micro Bitcoin futures, BlackArrow or WealthCharts, crypto or PayPal checkout, funded-account resets, the large X-Ultra payout caps, or who live in a country Lucid restricts, such as Nigeria, Kenya, South Africa or Serbia. |
Advanced checks before paying
- Add the activation fee to any Top One Elite ACCESS price. A $39 evaluation on a 50K account becomes $228 once you pass (or $133 with the intraday funded drawdown), before any reset.
- Check whether Top One bills your plan monthly. Its checkout labels the Elite Daily evaluation “monthly”, and its subscription article says evaluations renew each month until you pass or cancel.
- Check your platform. Top One does not offer Rithmic, so Sierra Chart, Bookmap, ATAS, Jigsaw, MotiveWave, MultiCharts and Quantower users need Lucid. Top One locks the platform at checkout.
- Do not run a bot or EA at Top One: its rules ban all automated trading. Lucid permits automated systems that follow its rules.
- Hold every Top One trade for more than 10 seconds. Closing any part of a position at 10.00 seconds or less counts as a violation.
- Confirm your country is not on the firm’s restricted list. The two lists differ by 37 countries and regions.

Short answer:Lucid Trading vs Top One Futures is a choice between one fee with fewer rules and cheap entry with more rules. Lucid sells four current plans (LucidPro, LucidFlex, LucidDaily and the straight-to-funded LucidDirect) for a single payment with no activation fee, gives 2 to 10 minis per account, supports 12 platforms over CQG and Rithmic, permits automated trading and keeps a 90/10 split in live. Top One Futures sells Elite ACCESS ($39 evaluations plus a $69 to $359 activation fee), Elite Daily (daily payouts, no activation fee, billed monthly at checkout), Instant Sim Funded, Ignite and a limited X-Ultra launch; it pays 90/10 in simulation and 80/20 live, bans EAs and bots, requires a 10-second minimum hold, gives 1 to 7 minis per account and adds a funded news rule and scaling plan on Elite ACCESS and Elite Daily. Top One’s Trustpilot score is 4.8 from 5,133 reviews and Lucid’s is 4.4 from 6,880. Neither firm is better for everyone.
This page compares Lucid Trading and Top One Futures plan by plan. Every number below comes from the firms’ own websites, checkout pages and help centres, read on October 13, 2026, and each section links to its source. Where a firm’s own pages disagree, we say so.
Checked October 13, 2026: lucidtrading.com, support.lucidtrading.com, toponefutures.com, checkout.toponefutures.com and help.toponefutures.com. Prices with codes are calculated from the published list price and each firm’s own published code; they were not verified by purchase.
Both firms run simulated evaluation and funded accounts. Top One’s site describes its funded accounts as simulated and says profits there can qualify for real payouts; Lucid says the same of its funded stage. Only traders moved to a live or pre-live account trade under live conditions, and both firms decide that at their own discretion. Top One Futures is the futures brand; its site links separately to Top One Trader for CFDs, which is a different product and not compared here. This is educational research, not financial advice.

Plan lineups and how they pair up
The two firms name their plans differently, so the useful comparison is by design. This is how the current plans line up.
| If you are looking at… | Lucid plan | Closest Top One plan | Main difference |
|---|---|---|---|
| A one-day pass with no evaluation consistency rule | LucidPro | Elite ACCESS | LucidPro is one payment with no activation fee and 4 minis at 50K from day one; its funded payout needs a 40% rule and a $500 profit goal. Elite ACCESS starts at $39 but adds a $189 activation fee at 50K, a 30-day limit, and in the funded stage 5 profitable days, a buffer, a 50% new-profit rule, a 2-minute news rule and a scaling plan that starts at 1 mini. |
| Daily payouts | LucidDaily | Elite Daily | Both allow a payout request every day once funded. LucidDaily has no per-request cap and a $52,100 buffer at 50K but an intraday funded drawdown and a 1-minute flat rule around US high-impact news. Elite Daily keeps an EOD drawdown but caps each request at $1,000 at 50K, needs 50% new profit after the first payout, and its evaluation is billed monthly at checkout. |
| Skip the evaluation | LucidDirect | Instant Sim Funded 2.0 | The closest pair on this page: both use a 20% consistency rule and an EOD drawdown. LucidDirect needs a $3,000 profit goal at 50K for payout 1; Instant needs 6%, then 5%, then 4%. Instant 2.0 has the larger drawdown on 100K and 150K ($4,000 / $5,250 against LucidDirect’s $3,500 / $5,000), while LucidDirect gives more contracts (4 minis at 50K against 3). |
| The cheapest instant account | LucidDirect | Ignite | Ignite costs $199 at 50K with Top One’s current code against $360.50 for LucidDirect with VAULT, but caps each payout at $1,000 (50K) and applies a 15% consistency rule. |
| No funded consistency rule | LucidFlex | X-Ultra (limited) | Both have a 50% evaluation consistency rule and no funded consistency rule. LucidFlex pays 50% of profit up to $2,000 at 50K after 5 qualifying days. X-Ultra allows up to $5,000 at 50K after 7 profitable days, but its daily loss limit is a hard breach and only 1,500 accounts are on sale. |
Lucid also has legacy products (LucidBlack and older Live and LucidMaxx structures) and an invite-only LucidMaxx programme. Top One’s checkout still lists its older Elite evaluation (6% target, 25% funded consistency rule, $149 activation fee) and the S2F Sim PRO instant account, but neither appears on its homepage plan cards, so they are not priced here. For every Lucid plan side by side, see Lucid Trading accounts compared.
Prices at 25K, 50K, 100K and 150K
Both firms quote list prices and advertise their own discount codes. Lucid’s homepage shows “FOR THE BEST DEAL USE CODE: VAULT” for 30% off all four plans. Top One’s homepage shows 30M (50% off Elite Daily and Ignite, 45% off Instant), BOGO for Elite ACCESS and LAUNCHPAD (50% off X-Ultra). BestProps has no codes of its own; our Lucid Trading deals and Top One Futures deals pages track each firm’s offers.

| X-Ultra with LAUNCHPAD (50% off) | Not offered | $129 | $189 | $259 |
What an attempt really costs
Top One’s Elite ACCESS moves most of the cost to the end: cheap attempts, then an activation fee once you pass. Lucid charges once and nothing on passing. That makes Top One cheaper if you fail often and dearer if you pass quickly, as the 50K examples show.
| Scenario at 50K | Lucid Trading (LucidPro) | Top One (Elite ACCESS, EOD) | Top One (Elite ACCESS Intraday) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Pass first time | $115.40 | $39 + $189 activation = $228 | $39 + $94 activation = $133 |
| Fail once, reset, pass | $115.40 + $115 = $230.40 | $39 + $35 + $189 = $263 | $39 + $35 + $94 = $168 |
| Fail twice, reset twice, pass | $115.40 + $230 = $345.40 | $39 + $70 + $189 = $298 | $39 + $70 + $94 = $203 |
| Three attempts, never pass | $345.40 | $109 (no activation fee is due) | $109 |
Top One’s activation fee must be paid within 14 days of passing. On Elite Daily there is no activation fee, but the evaluation is billed monthly at checkout: a 50K that takes two billing months costs $109 with 30M plus a $218 rebill if the code does not apply to rebills (Top One does not say whether it does), against $95.20 one time for a 50K LucidDaily with VAULT.
Resets
- Lucid resets are evaluation-only and restore the starting balance. List prices: LucidPro $75 / $120 / $190 / $255, LucidFlex $55 / $95 / $180 / $260, LucidDaily EOD $65 / $95 / $155 / $220 and intraday $55 / $75 / $125 / $180 (25K / 50K / 100K / 150K). The VAULT code does not reduce resets; the daily-loss-limit discount does, so the 50K LucidPro reset is $115. Funded accounts and LucidDirect cannot be reset.
- Top One evaluation resets: Elite ACCESS and Elite ACCESS Intraday $35 at every size; Elite Daily $84 / $104 / $194 / $270; X-Ultra $119 / $179 / $249 (50K / 100K / 150K). Each evaluation can be reset at most 12 times in a 30-day window, and codes do not apply to resets.
- Top One funded resets are unusual: Elite ACCESS $299 / $499 / $849 / $1,349, Elite ACCESS Intraday $149 / $249 / $449 / $649 and Elite Daily $299 / $499 / $849 / $1,250. A reset must be bought within 14 days of the breach and is not possible on an account that has already received a payout. Instant Sim Funded and Ignite accounts cannot be reset. Lucid has no funded reset.
Profit targets, time limits and time to funded
Targets match at 50K ($3,000) on every evaluation except X-Ultra ($4,000). At other sizes Lucid’s targets are $1,250 / $6,000 / $9,000 (25K / 100K / 150K); Top One uses 6% everywhere ($1,500 / $6,000 / $9,000) except X-Ultra’s 8% ($8,000 / $12,000 on 100K / 150K). Top One’s Elite ACCESS and X-Ultra must be passed within 30 days; Lucid sets no limit.
| Plan (50K) | Target | Minimum days | Evaluation consistency | Evaluation daily limit | Time limit |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| LucidPro | $3,000 | 1 | None | Optional $1,200 | None |
| LucidFlex | $3,000 | 2 in practice (50% rule) | 50% | Optional $1,200 | None |
| LucidDaily | $3,000 | 2 in practice | 50% | Optional $1,200 | None |
| Top One Elite ACCESS (EOD and Intraday) | $3,000 | 1 | None | None | 30 days |
| Top One Elite Daily | $3,000 | 3 in practice (40% rule) | 40% | $1,000 (pause for the day) | None stated; billed monthly until passed |
| Top One X-Ultra | $4,000 | 2 in practice (50% rule) | 50% | $1,000 hard breach | 30 days |
| LucidDirect / Instant / Ignite | No evaluation | Trade from purchase | Funded rule only (20% / 20% / 15%) | Lucid $1,200 / Instant $1,250 / Ignite $1,000 | — |
Lucid upgrades a passed evaluation to a funded account 5–30 minutes after the target is hit. At Top One, an Elite Daily funded account is issued automatically by the next trading session with no fee; Elite ACCESS needs the activation fee first. Every Top One funded account then needs KYC through KYCAID (usually under a minute, according to Top One) and a signed contract before trading is enabled. Profit targets at Top One count closed trades only.
Drawdown rules: EOD, intraday and when they lock
Both firms trail the maximum loss limit on end-of-day balances on most plans and stop trailing at the starting balance + $100. Each firm has one intraday exception: LucidDaily’s funded stage at Lucid, and Elite ACCESS Intraday’s funded stage at Top One, which trails your highest equity tick by tick, including open profit.
| Plan | Evaluation drawdown | Funded drawdown (25K / 50K / 100K / 150K) | Where it stops trailing |
|---|---|---|---|
| LucidPro / LucidFlex | EOD | EOD $1,000 / $2,000 / $3,000 / $4,500 | Starting balance + $100 once the balance closes above the initial trail balance (e.g. $50,100 after $52,100 on 50K). On Flex it also locks there as soon as you request a payout. |
| LucidDaily | EOD or intraday (chosen at checkout) | Intraday $1,000 / $2,000 / $3,000 / $4,500 | Starting balance + $100 after the trail balance is passed |
| LucidDirect | No evaluation | EOD $1,000 / $2,000 / $3,500 / $5,000 | Starting balance + $100 after $26,100 / $52,100 / $103,600 / $155,100 |
| Top One Elite ACCESS | EOD $1,000 / $2,000 / $3,000 / $4,000 | EOD $1,000 / $2,000 / $3,000 / $3,500 | Starting balance + $100 |
| Top One Elite ACCESS Intraday | EOD (same as above) | Intraday, tick by tick, including open profit: $1,000 / $2,000 / $3,000 / $3,500 | Trails your highest equity; the articles we read give no lock level for this version |
| Top One Elite Daily | EOD $1,000 / $2,000 / $3,000 / $4,500 | EOD $1,000 / $2,000 / $2,500 / $3,500 | Starting balance + $100 ($25,100 / $50,100 / $100,100 / $150,100) |
| Top One Instant Sim Funded 2.0 | No evaluation | EOD $1,000 / $2,000 / $4,000 / $5,250 | Starting balance + $100 once profit reaches the drawdown + $100, or after the first payout |
| Top One Ignite | No evaluation | EOD $1,000 / $2,000 / $4,000 / $6,000 | Starting balance + $100 at $26,100 / $52,100 / $104,100 / $156,100, or after the first payout |
| Top One X-Ultra | EOD $4,000 / $8,000 / $12,000 (50K–150K) | EOD $3,000 / $4,500 / $6,000 (50K–150K) | Starting balance + $100 |
Daily and total limits are checked differently. Top One’s daily loss limits count open and closed losses plus commissions from the previous day’s close, while its EOD drawdown only checks the closing balance. Lucid works the same way on its EOD plans. On either firm’s intraday plan, an open trade that spikes and reverses raises the floor even if you never close it in profit.
For more firms compared on this point, see our EOD drawdown prop firm list.
Daily loss limits
- Lucid: every daily loss limit is a soft breach. On LucidPro, LucidFlex and LucidDaily you choose at checkout whether to have one ($1,200 / $1,800 / $2,700 at 50K / 100K / 150K); the choice cannot be changed later and turning it off costs extra. On LucidPro and LucidDirect, once the funded balance closes above the initial trail balance the fixed limit becomes LucidScale: 60% of your highest end-of-day profit, which never decreases.
- Top One: limits are fixed per plan. Elite ACCESS has none in the evaluation and $500 / $1,000 / $1,250 / $1,750 funded. Elite Daily has $500 / $1,000 / $1,250 / $1,850 in both stages. Instant 2.0 has $625 / $1,250 / $2,500 / $3,000 and Ignite $500 / $1,000 / $2,000 / $3,000. All of these pause trading until the next session. X-Ultra’s $1,000 / $1,500 / $2,000 limit fails the account.
- Both firms: the daily limit is not a stop loss. Top One says reactivation after a pause can take 5 to 10 minutes after the new session opens.
Consistency rules and minimum trading days
Both firms use the same formula: largest single-day profit divided by total profit in the cycle. Missing it never fails the account at either firm; you keep trading until the ratio falls back under the limit, and on funded accounts the count restarts after each payout. Top One ends its trading day at 5:00 PM EST for this calculation.
| Plan | Evaluation | Funded (per payout cycle) | Exactly at the limit | Other payout-day rule |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| LucidPro | None | 40% | Allowed (“no more than”) | $250 / $500 / $750 / $1,000 profit goal per cycle |
| LucidFlex | 50% | None | — | 5 days of at least $100 / $150 / $200 / $250 profit; up to 50% of profit per request |
| LucidDaily | 50% | None | — | Any net profit since the last payout |
| LucidDirect | No evaluation | 20% | Allowed (“no more than”) | Profit goal $1,500 / $3,000 / $6,000 / $9,000, then $1,250 / $2,500 / $3,500 / $4,500 |
| Top One Elite ACCESS | None | 40% | Allowed (“40% or less”) | 5 profitable days of $200 / $250 / $300 / $350; profit above buffer + $500; 50% of each later payout from new profit |
| Top One Elite Daily | 40% | None | Allowed (the help centre’s 40% example passes) | Balance stays above the buffer; 50% of each later payout from new profit |
| Top One Instant Sim Funded | No evaluation | 20% | Allowed (“20% or lower”) | Profit target 6%, then 5%, then 4% of the balance after the last payout |
| Top One Ignite | No evaluation | 15% | Allowed (“not more than 15%”) | Profit target 5% of the balance after the last payout |
| Top One X-Ultra | 50% | None | — | 7 profitable days of $250 / $500 / $750 (4 with a paid add-on); 50% of each payout from new profit |
Worked example, straight-to-funded 50K. LucidDirect and Top One Instant both use 20% and both allow a day of exactly 20%. Five days of $600 reach $3,000 and meet LucidDirect’s first profit goal and Instant’s 6% target. With a $1,200 best day, both need $6,000 of cycle profit; Ignite’s 15% rule needs $8,000.
Worked example, 40% funded rule. On LucidPro 50K a $1,200 best day needs $3,000 in the cycle. On Top One Elite ACCESS the same day also needs $3,000, plus 5 days of $250 or more and profit above the buffer + $500. Elite Daily applies its 40% rule only in the evaluation. Our Lucid consistency rule guide works through every Lucid plan.
Payouts: split, minimums, caps and gates
| Plan | Split | How often | Minimum | Maximum per request |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| LucidPro | 90/10 | Any day once gates are met | $500 | Payout 1: $1,000 / $2,000 / $2,500 / $3,000. Payouts 2+: $1,500 / $2,500 / $3,000 / $3,500 |

Top One’s 50% progression rule (Elite ACCESS, Elite Daily and X-Ultra) means at least half of each payout after the first must come from profit made since the previous one. On Elite Daily, a $1,000 request at 50K needs $500 of new profit, so a full daily payout needs a $500 day. Instant and Elite payout targets work off the balance after the last payout: after a $1,500 payout from $53,000 on 50K, the next target is 5% of $51,500, or $54,075.

What this shows: at 50K the firms pay similar amounts on cycles of $3,000 to $6,000 on their straight-to-funded plans. Lucid pulls ahead on daily-payout plans, because LucidDaily pays all profit above its buffer while Elite Daily caps each request at $1,000. Top One’s X-Ultra, while it lasts, allows up to $5,000 per request at 50K with no buffer, but every payout needs 7 profitable days of $250 or more, and a withdrawal still cannot take the balance through the drawdown floor.
