We checked 17 futures prop firms on their own pages for what every Sierra Chart roundup skips: which licence the firm gives you, which route Sierra Chart needs, and whether it still works once you are funded. Sierra Chart needs Integrated Package 10 or higher ($36 a month, no one-time licence) to log in to any prop account, and no firm we checked supplies it. Nine 50K products pass, all on Rithmic, ranked on Sierra Chart cost per $1,000 of loss room (list price, activation, any fee the firm charges for the Sierra route or connection, plus one Package 10 month, divided by the overall loss floor). DayTraders.com EOD 50K is cheapest at $73.00, Lucid Trading LucidFlex 50K is $86.00 and Tradeify Growth 50K is $90.50 (the only firm naming Sierra Chart on evaluation, funded and live). BluSky, TradeDay, Bulenox ($124.00 with a $100 API fee that may apply), Phidias, Elite Trader Funding and Apex ($377.50) follow. No firm runs Sierra Chart on a Tradovate route. Sierra Chart itself refuses support for Rithmic data and says evaluator accounts do not qualify for its $6.00 non-professional CME data without a separate $100 broker account. OneUp Trader and LeeLoo Trading carry floors that follow open profit, and Topstep, UProfit, MyFundedFutures and Take Profit Trader are linked to Sierra Chart elsewhere but do not sell it.

Quick picks among prop firms that use Sierra Chart

  • Cheapest Sierra Chart seat: DayTraders.com EOD 50K, $73.00 per $1,000 of loss room. $105 one-time plus $5 activation, and the firm’s own Sierra setup guide.
  • Lowest one-time price with no activation fee: Lucid Trading LucidFlex 50K, $86.00. $136 on Rithmic; Lucid says nothing beyond listing Sierra Chart.
  • Sierra Chart stated at every stage: Tradeify Growth 50K, $90.50. Evaluation, Sim Funded and Live Funded servers named; no Level 2 on Rithmic.
  • Most room for one payment under $150: Bulenox Momentum 50K, $143 on a $2,250 floor ($124.00, or $79.56 if its $100 API fee does not apply).
  • Biggest floor, Sierra Chart named on live: Elite Trader Funding Direct to Funded 50K, $165.60. Your own licence and a $45 monthly Rithmic fee.

Why a brand-level “supports Sierra Chart” misleads: Sierra Chart runs on the firm’s Rithmic route, not on the brand. At Tradeify, Lucid Trading, TradeDay, BluSky, Phidias, Elite Trader Funding and Apex the same 50K account opens Sierra Chart on Rithmic and not on Tradovate, CQG or WealthCharts, and only Elite Trader Funding charges more for the Rithmic version. The licence is always yours to buy. And the market data Sierra Chart wants you to use is not the data your prop account comes with.

What Sierra Chart is and why it matters at a prop firm

Sierra Chart is a Windows desktop charting and order-entry program sold by monthly subscription. Futures traders use it for its price ladder (DOM), footprint-style Numbers Bars, TPO profiles and ACSIL, its programming interface for custom studies and automated systems. It does not hold your account. It connects to the data and order route the prop firm gives you, and at every firm in this guide that route is Rithmic.

Three things decide what Sierra Chart really costs you at a prop firm: the package you must buy from Sierra Chart, the route and fees on the firm’s side, and the market data. The first two are fixed and published. The third is the one competitors never explain, because Sierra Chart’s own rules on Rithmic data and on prop accounts are stricter than most firms admit.

This guide is futures only. Forex and CFD prop firms run MT5, cTrader, DXtrade or Match-Trader accounts, which Sierra Chart does not log in to.

How we ranked prop firms that use Sierra Chart

How we ranked the best prop firms that use Sierra Chart, a five-step process built from each firm's own pages and dated checks
The five checks behind every ranking in the Prop Trader’s Guide.

Products ranked

Do not sell it
  1. Sources: each firm’s own checkout, platform and setup articles, rules and pricing pages, read October 5, 2026. Sierra Chart’s own site is used only for its package prices and its data rules; its list of evaluator firms is a lead, never proof that a firm offers Sierra Chart.
  2. The test, per product: the firm’s own pages say you can trade that product in Sierra Chart on the evaluation and on the funded account up to the first payout, and you can buy it today. A firm sentence for the funded stage counts; so does a platform list or login that the firm says applies to all its accounts. Silence on the funded stage is not a pass.
  3. Licence: supplied by the firm, your own, or not published. A bare name in a platform list is not a licence statement, and a free trial from Sierra Chart is not a licence from the firm.
  4. Order: Sierra Chart cost per $1,000 of loss room, lowest first. One product per firm, the cheapest passing 50K on this number, on list prices.
  5. Warnings, not ranks: a live call-up, a live-stage gap and a hidden Trustpilot rating are named in each firm’s watch-outs. A floor that follows open profit intraday, or a daily loss that ends the account, keeps a product out of the ranking.

Sierra Chart cost per $1,000 of loss room = (50K list price of one attempt + activation fee + any surcharge for the Rithmic route + any fee the firm charges for connecting a third-party platform + one month of Sierra Chart Package 10 unless the firm supplies the licence) ÷ overall maximum-loss floor at its smallest stage up to the first payout × 1,000

Worked example, Tradeify: $145 for the Growth 50K, $0 activation, no route surcharge, no connection fee, and $36 for Package 10 because Tradeify says the subscription is yours. $181 ÷ $2,000 × 1,000 = $90.50. Elite Trader Funding shows how a route fee and a big floor interact: $747 + $45 Rithmic + $36 = $828 on a $5,000 floor, $165.60. The floor is the overall maximum loss, never a daily limit. A fee a firm does not publish is never treated as $0, and a fee whose reach is unclear is included and marked. Market data from Sierra Chart is the same at every firm, so it is shown separately and never ranked. Full method: how we rank.

Notes on this ranking: * Bulenox charges $100 a month for connecting to Rithmic through third-party API or composite software and does not say whether Sierra Chart counts; we include it ($79.56 without it). † The firm names Sierra Chart for the evaluation and its funded account shares the same login or the same unscoped platform list, so we count Sierra Chart once funded without a sentence that says so. § TradeDay’s pages give the Funded Live floor as $1,500 and as $2,000. That stage starts after the fifth payout, so the ranking uses the $2,000 Funded Sim floor ($150.00 on $1,500). ¶ Monthly products count one month. With a second evaluation month and a second Package 10 month, BluSky is $144.50, TradeDay $225.00 and Phidias $219.60. The Sierra Chart month is Integrated Package 10 at $36, read on Sierra Chart’s Packages page October 5, 2026; no ranked firm supplies the licence. Codes never set a rank.

Take the Package 10 month out and the order barely moves, because every firm adds the same $36: DayTraders.com falls to $55.00, Lucid Trading to $68.00, Tradeify to $72.50 and BluSky to $79.00. The licence decides nothing between firms; the account price, activation fee and floor do.

Which Sierra Chart licence each prop firm gives you

Prop firms that use Sierra Chart: a dense charting workstation window with a Package 10 licence box and a data feed line marked with a question mark
A Sierra Chart seat at a prop firm: the program, the package you buy, and the data feed it runs on.

Search results for Sierra Chart prop firms often say the platform is “included”. On the firms’ own pages, no firm we checked supplies a Sierra Chart licence. They fall into two groups:

  • Your own licence, in the firm’s words (5): DayTraders.com (“Ensure you are subscribed to Service Package 10 or higher to access the Rithmic service through Sierra Chart.”), Tradeify (“requires a paid Sierra Chart subscription”), Elite Trader Funding (“Subscription costs for the supported platforms are the trader’s responsibility.”), and two unranked firms, OneUp Trader and Earn2Trade.
  • Not published (6): Lucid Trading, BluSky, TradeDay, Bulenox, Phidias and Apex Trader Funding name Sierra Chart and say nothing about who pays for it. TradeDay and Phidias spell out the licence for other platforms on the same pages, which makes the silence on Sierra Chart easier to read: you pay.
  • A trial is not a licence: OneUp Trader’s guide opens with “Sierra Chart provides OneUp Trader users with a free 30-day trial.” That is Sierra Chart’s offer, and it ends.

Apex adds a live-stage condition for every third-party platform: “You will need a live license key version of the platform to connect to live data and live trading.” Where a firm bundles a licence at all, it is for another platform: Bulenox gives NinjaTrader 8 free on the Master Account, and DayTraders.com includes ONYX and Quantower.

What Sierra Chart costs at a prop firm

Sierra Chart sells packages, not a single licence, and only some of them can log in to a prop firm. Its Packages page (last modified September 8, 2026) says: “The Base Packages from Sierra Chart do not support connections to external provided Data or Trading services. For example, they will not connect to Interactive Brokers, CQG or Rithmic.” Its Rithmic page adds: “Service Package 10 or higher is required to use Rithmic.”

Sierra Chart packages and monthly list prices on sierrachart.com, read October 5, 2026.
Sierra Chart packageMonthly priceConnects to Rithmic? What it adds
Package 3, Base Standard$26NoFull charting with Sierra’s own data only
Package 5, Base Advanced$36NoTPO, Numbers Bars, depth history graph
Package 10, Integrated Standard$36Yes, the minimumExternal connections: Rithmic, CQG, brokers
Package 11, Integrated Advanced$46YesPackage 10 plus TPO and Numbers Bars
Package 12, Advanced with MBO$56YesPackage 11 plus Market by Order data

Paying ahead lowers the monthly price by 15% for 3 months, 25% for 6 and 35% for 12, so Package 10 is $30.6 a month on a quarter, $27 on six months and $23.4 on a year ($280.8 up front). Tradeify quotes the same annual figure. There is no lifetime option: “Occasionally we get asked if we offer a one-time purchase option for Sierra Chart. The answer is no, and this is something that would never be offered.” Sierra Chart offers a free trial before you subscribe.

Firm-side costs for running Sierra Chart are rarer than the licence. Elite Trader Funding charges $45 a month for any Rithmic account. Bulenox charges $100 a month for connecting to Rithmic through third-party API or composite software, and does not say whether Sierra Chart counts. The other seven ranked firms charge nothing for the Rithmic route or for connecting Sierra Chart, and those that also sell a Tradovate version price it the same.

The Sierra Chart market data problem at prop firms

Every prop account on Rithmic comes with Rithmic market data. Sierra Chart does not want you to use it. Its Rithmic page, last modified December 19, 2025, is blunt: “Sierra Chart does not recommend using Rithmic historical or real-time data under any circumstances.” and “Sierra Chart does not provide any technical support for issues with Rithmic market data (whether historical or real-time).” A Sierra Chart support reply from January 2025 goes further: “newer versions of Sierra Chart, require the Denali Data Feed be used with Rithmic. This is 2727 and higher.” The alternative it sells is its own Denali Exchange Data Feed.

Denali has a catch for prop traders. Its cheap non-professional rates need a live funded trading account, and Sierra Chart says prop accounts are not one: “Apex, Top Step Trader, Earn 2 Trade, One Up Trader, LeeLoo, UProfit, and other type of trading evaluator accounts, do not meet the requirement as a live and funded trading account according to CME policy.” Its fix is a small broker account of your own: “The solution is to open a trading account with an account balance of 100 USD with the futures broker Stage 5.” Without one, you pay the professional rate.

Denali CME data fees on sierrachart.com, October 5, 2026; the page text and table differ on pro fees.
Denali CME dataNon-pro, live accountPro or no account
Full CME Group, top of book$6.00 a month$145.00 per exchange (table)
Full CME Group, with market depth$40.50 a month$115.50 per exchange (page text)
CME only, top of book$2.00 a month$145.00 a month
CME only, with market depth$13.50 a month$145.00 a month
CME E-mini contracts onlyNot offered separately$78.00 (table) or $62.40 (text)

The Denali page contradicts itself on the professional fee: its table lists $145.00 a month per exchange, while its text says “then the fees for accessing real-time data from any one of these exchanges is 115.50 USD per month. For all four exchanges in full, the total price would be 462 USD per month. Or if you just require the CME E-mini and E-micro contracts, it is 62.40 USD per month.” We show both and rank on neither.

The firms do not agree with Sierra Chart, or with each other. Tradeify: “If you configured the Rithmic data feed using the steps above, you do not need Denali” and “For most Tradeify users, the Rithmic data feed configured above is the recommended approach.” DayTraders.com’s guide sides with Sierra Chart (“To receive market data, you will need the Denali Exchange Data Feed.”). TradeDay asks you to “Please make sure to be on the latest version of Sierra Chart” and use its Rithmic login for market data, which on Sierra Chart’s own account means version 2727 or later and Denali. Earn2Trade calls Sierra Chart on Rithmic a risk: “As of 2020, Sierra Charts no longer supports Rithmic officially.” “Please use at your own risk only.”

So a working Sierra Chart setup costs one of two things a month, beside the account. Path one: Package 10 at $36 and the firm’s Rithmic data, on a Sierra Chart version old enough to accept it and with no help from Sierra Chart if it breaks. Path two: Package 10 at $36, Denali full CME Group top of book at $6.00 (or $40.50 with depth), and a $100 balance at Stage 5 so the non-professional rate applies. The $100 is your money in a broker account, not a fee. The table shows path two per $1,000 of loss room; it is never part of the ranking.

Sierra Chart connection routes at prop firms, Rithmic not Tradovate

Every ranked firm runs Sierra Chart on Rithmic. Four sell nothing else (DayTraders.com, Bulenox and the unranked OneUp Trader and LeeLoo Trading); the rest sell the same 50K on several routes at one price, and only the Rithmic one runs Sierra Chart. No firm we checked names CQG or Teton for Sierra Chart; Teton appears only in Sierra Chart’s own broker route for the $100 Stage 5 account.

Can you use Sierra Chart on a Tradovate prop account? No. Tradovate is not among Sierra Chart’s supported data and trading services, and the firms say so for their own accounts. Tradeify: “If you purchased with Tradovate or WealthCharts, you cannot use Sierra Chart.” It adds that “you cannot switch between brokers (e.g., from Tradovate to Rithmic) without purchasing a new account.” Apex: “Converting between Rithmic, Tradovate, and WealthCharts is not possible due to differences in account setups, data routing, and fee structures.” If a firm offers both, buy the Rithmic version. For the routes themselves and what each costs, see our guide to prop firms that use Rithmic, and for the other side, prop firms that use Tradovate.

Sierra Chart at each prop firm stage, evaluation to live

The ranking test stops at the first payout, but anyone who settles into Sierra Chart wants to know if it survives a live move. Here is what each firm says:

  • Stated on all three stages: Tradeify names a server for evaluation and Sim Funded (“Tradeify”) and one for Live Funded (“Rithmic 01”).
  • Stated on evaluation and funded: Lucid Trading, through “All listed platforms work with all Lucid account types.” Its live stage is not covered.
  • Stated on live, funded inferred: Elite Trader Funding’s LIVE ELITE names Sierra Chart and allows “Data connection: Rithmic-compatible platforms only, for now.” DayTraders.com allows it on live with your own licence.
  • Funded inferred, live not published: BluSky, TradeDay, Bulenox, Phidias and Apex. Each names Sierra Chart for the evaluation, and the funded account uses the same login or an unscoped platform list. Apex adds that live needs a paid licence key for any third-party platform.

Inferred is not the same as stated. If Sierra Chart on the funded account matters to you, ask the firm to confirm it in writing before you buy; the cost cells for inferred firms carry a †.

Ranked prop firms that use Sierra Chart

Nine 50K products pass. Each block carries the same fields, in the table’s order.

DayTraders.com EOD 50K is the cheapest Sierra Chart seat, with a firm guide that tells you to buy Denali data

DayTraders.com is a Rithmic-only firm with its own Sierra Chart setup article, and that article names the package you need: “Ensure you are subscribed to Service Package 10 or higher to access the Rithmic service through Sierra Chart.” Its platform table marks a licence as included only for ONYX and Quantower, so the Sierra Chart month is yours. The same article goes further than any other firm on data, and it agrees with Sierra Chart rather than with its own price card: “To receive market data, you will need the Denali Exchange Data Feed.” The Pro account advertises a “Free real-time data feed included ($55/month value)”, which is Rithmic data Sierra Chart will not support.

Video: no official DayTraders.com video covers its Sierra Chart setup, and we do not substitute creator videos.

  • Connection: Rithmic only, through Sierra Chart’s Rithmic Direct service and a server picked from the list (paper trading servers for sim accounts), with credentials from the dashboard. DayTraders.com has its own Rithmic agreement link to sign first.
  • Licence: Your own Package 10 or higher at every stage. Live is explicit: “If you already own a license, you may connect your live account using” a list that includes Sierra Chart.
  • Stages: Evaluation stated (Rithmic platform table and setup article); Pro inferred because it opens on the same Rithmic login; live stated with your own licence.
  • Cost: $105 one-time plus a $5 Pro activation fee, no route surcharge, and one $36 month of Package 10: $146 ÷ $2,000 × 1,000 = $73.00 per $1,000 of loss room. The Static 50K ($50, $1,000 static floor) works out at $91.00, so the EOD product ranks.
  • Account rules: $2,000 end-of-day trailing floor; “The EOD Trailing Drawdown locks in each night based on your session’s ending balance; it does not trail intraday.” A $1,250 daily loss limit pauses the day (“Breaching this limit on any day results in your account being paused for the day”). $3,000 target, 10 minis or 100 micros, 50% consistency on the evaluation and 30% on Pro. High-frequency strategies are banned.
  • Payouts: Pro EOD pays after 8 qualifying days of $200 or more, $500 minimum in $500 steps.
  • Watch out for: The firm says “Traders may be transitioned to a live account at any time based on performance and risk evaluation.” and adds “We currently transition around 1% of traders that come through the sim funded program.” Decline terms are not published. Its platform table marks Sierra Chart not Mac compatible, and “DayTraders only offers limited support for platform related issues.”
  • Trustpilot: 4.6/5 on 499 reviews, read October 5, 2026. DayTraders.com profile.

Lucid Trading LucidFlex 50K names Sierra Chart for every account type and says nothing else about it

Lucid’s case rests on one platform article. Sierra Chart sits in its list of Rithmic platforms, and the article adds “All listed platforms work with all Lucid account types.” That sentence covers the evaluation and the funded account, which is more than most firms say. It is also all Lucid says: no licence line, no setup article, no data terms. The price is the draw: $136 one-time with the daily loss limit switched on, and “No monthly subscription or funded account activation fees”.

Video: no official Lucid Trading video covers its Sierra Chart setup, and we do not substitute creator videos.

  • Connection: Rithmic only. The same plans on Lucid’s CQG route list “CQG supported platforms: NinjaTrader, Tradovate, TradingView”, so buy the Rithmic version.
  • Licence: Not published. Sierra Chart is a bare list item, while two other platforms carry a “Lucid Partner” label. We count one Package 10 month.
  • Stages: Evaluation and funded stated by the all-account-types sentence; live not published (Lucid closes sim accounts when it moves a trader live).
  • Cost: $136 one-time, $0 activation, no surcharge (the Rithmic and CQG plans cost the same), $36 for Package 10: $172 ÷ $2,000 × 1,000 = $86.00. Without the daily loss limit the plan is $146 ($91.00).
  • Account r
