Research basis and limitations

This page preserves the current BestProps document-based profile. Exact deep-source URLs may not be stored with every record, so individual statements may not link to specific firm pages. No account purchase, live trading, support contact, identity check, or payout test was performed.

TL;DR: TX3 Funding (formerly TopTier Trader) sells simulated prop accounts under two sites: TX3 Funding for forex and CFDs on Match-Trader, and TX3 Futures for CME-group futures on Tradovate, NinjaTrader and TradingView. On October 11, 2026 the forex side offered five products, Instant Standard, Instant Pro, 1 Phase, 2 Phase Flex and 2 Phase Pro, priced from $50 (Instant Pro $10K) to $1,099 (Pro $200K), with a WITCH30 banner code for 30% off Flex and Pro. The futures side offered Instant, Core and Prestige at 40% off list, from $162 (Prestige $50K) to $739 (Instant $150K). Profit splits run from 50% (Instant Pro) to 90% (all futures models), and the payout rules differ sharply by product: buffers, payout caps, consistency limits of 10% to 50%, and winning-day counts. Trustpilot showed 3.0 from 4,323 reviews, with 12% one-star and a cluster of recent complaints about delayed futures payouts and the August 2026 Flex rule change. Prop Firm Match lists the firm as unlisted with 11 warnings. Every account is simulated, and passing does not guarantee a payout.

Research status: Checked against the TX3 Funding forex site and challenge selector, the TX3 Futures model pages and their published model data, both help centres (most articles updated October 10 or 11, 2026), the Terms of Use, Refund Policy, Cancellation Policy and AML Policy, and the firm’s blog on October 11, 2026. Trustpilot, Prop Firm Match and Reddit were read the same day. Prices were read from the firm’s public pages and were not verified by purchase. Prices, codes and rules at this firm have changed often in 2026, so recheck them at checkout.

TX3 Funding review verdict

TX3 Funding is really two prop products under one brand. The forex side (tx3funding.com) sells five Match-Trader programs with very different payout mechanics. The futures side (tx3futures.com) sells three CME futures models with a 90% split, an end-of-day trailing drawdown and low per-request payout caps. If you search “TX3 Funding” you can land on either, plus a separate broker called TX3 Markets, so the first job is to be sure which product you are reading about.

The entry prices are low. A $100,000 Instant Pro account was $250 on October 11, 2026, and a $50,000 Prestige futures evaluation was $162. The cheap products carry the tightest payout rules, though. Instant Pro pays 50% of profit, needs 10% profit before the first request, keeps a 5% buffer that can never be withdrawn and caps each cycle at 20% of the account. Read the payout section for your exact product before you compare prices.

The weak point in 2026 is rule stability and payout service. The firm rewrote its Flex Challenge on August 24, 2026 and, under its own transition rules, breached funded Flex accounts that had already been paid. Trustpilot reviews from late September and early October 2026 describe futures payouts pending for two weeks or more. The help centres publish detailed rules with worked examples, which is useful, but several of them disagree with the sales pages (see source conflicts). BestProps does not give TX3 Funding a numeric score in this review.

Is TX3 Funding legit? Companies, TX3 Markets and the simulated model

TX3 Funding is an operating business with published company names, terms, a help centre, a working checkout and a long payout history claimed under its old TopTier Trader name. Whether it is a good fit depends on the product rules and on how payouts are being handled now, both covered below. Here is who the firm says you deal with.

The About page names Cue Banks and Anthony Williams as co-founders. The forex site says “Since 2021”, and the futures site says “4 yrs funding traders”, “$35M+ paid to traders” and “8,000+ traders funded”. The same $35 million and 8,000-trader figures appear in a June 22, 2026 press release distributed through GlobeNewswire. These are the firm’s own totals and BestProps could not check them.

The TopTier Trader name. The firm’s own blog post of January 8, 2026 is titled “MT5 is back to Tx3 Funding (Previously TopTier Trader)”, its About page still talks about a “TopTier lifestyle”, and some trader reviews from late 2025 describe payments from “Top Tier Trader LLC” and a migration to TX3. BestProps tracks the change on its rebranded prop firms page. Do not assume every old TopTier rule or account carried over.

Simulated, not a broker account. The help centre says “All TX3 Funding Forex accounts, including funded accounts, are demo accounts that use virtual funds”, and that the firm “is not a broker, dealer, or financial advisor”. The Terms say TX3 “is not registered or licensed with the SEC, CFTC, FINRA, NFA, ESMA, DFSA, or any other regulator”. TX3 Markets holds broker licences, but buying a TX3 Funding challenge does not open a TX3 Markets brokerage account, and TX3 Markets’ own list of excluded countries includes the United States. A payout is a reward under the firm’s contract, not a withdrawal of your own capital.

Points worth knowing before you pay, from the Terms of Use, Refund Policy and Cancellation Policy:

  • One account per person unless the firm agrees in writing. False or incomplete information can mean forfeited fees and a permanent ban.
  • Copy trading, bots, account sharing and latency or slippage exploits are prohibited, with possible forfeiture of payouts.
  • A chargeback filed without contacting support first leads to a permanent ban.
  • The Cancellation Policy applies US law with binding AAA arbitration and asks traders to waive external disputes and chargebacks.

How they differ in practice:

  • Instant Standard skips the evaluation and pays 80%, but the 3% buffer, 15% consistency rule and 1% risk cap per trade mean the first payout usually needs more than 3% profit spread over at least seven winning days.
  • Instant Pro is the cheapest way to a large account, but it pays 50%, needs 10% profit before any request and lets you trade forex at only 1:5 leverage.
  • 1 Phase is the fastest evaluation and pays every three days once funded, but the 6% trailing drawdown is tight until it locks.
  • 2 Phase Flex (new rules) removes the daily drawdown during evaluation but adds a 30-day clock per phase and, once funded, a 0.5% cap on open floating loss.
  • 2 Phase Pro is the conventional two-step with no deadline, on-demand payouts, the only reset option and the only scaling plan.

So, to answer two common questions directly: a $50,000 TX3 account cost $150 (Instant Pro), $162 (Prestige futures), $199 (Flex), $245 (Core futures), $285 (Instant Standard), $289 (1 Phase), $335 (Pro) or $459 (Instant futures) on October 11, 2026. A $100,000 account cost from $250 (Instant Pro) to $599 (Instant futures).

Current offers the firm itself published on October 11, 2026:

  • WITCH30 (forex): the home page banner reads “Witching Hour: 30% off Flex and Pro challenges with code WITCH30”. No end date was shown. If it applies to the selector price, a $100,000 Pro would fall from $549 to about $384.30 and a $100,000 Flex from $349 to about $244.30. Whether it stacks with the “Limited Offer” price is not stated, so trust the checkout total.
  • Futures 40% off: every futures card showed “40% OFF” with the regular price struck through and no code needed.
  • Older codes: a January 8, 2026 blog post offered code MT5 for 30% off forex challenges when MT5 was chosen as the platform. MT5 was not offered in the selector on October 11, 2026. Coupon sites and Reddit list other TX3 codes that BestProps could not confirm with the firm, so they are not reprinted here.

Add-ons. 1 Phase, Flex and Pro offer Double Leverage, a 90/10 Profit Split and News Trading; Pro also offers an 8% Hybrid Max Loss / Profit Target and Weekend Trading. The add-on prices are not shown before checkout. Resets: only Pro has one, after a Phase 1 failure and within 24 hours, at a reduced price the help centre does not state. On futures, the model data behind the Core and Prestige pages lists reset fees of $149, $249 and $359 (Core) and $189, $375 and $589 (Prestige); read them as published and not verified by purchase. Futures models have no activation fee. There are no monthly fees on either side.

Forex evaluation rules by program

Daily drawdown, all forex products. At 5 PM EST the system takes the higher of your balance and equity, and the daily limit is a fixed percentage of the initial balance below that figure. On a $100,000 1 Phase account with $105,000 equity at 5 PM, the day’s floor is $102,000. Open profit counts toward the reference point, so a winning open trade at 5 PM raises the next day’s floor.

1 Phase. 10% target, at least 3 trading days, 3% daily drawdown, and a 6% trailing maximum loss that moves up as you make money and locks at the starting balance once you are 6% up. Weekend holding is allowed; news trading needs the add-on. Once funded, a 50% consistency rule applies before each payout. Worked example on $100,000: the floor starts at $94,000. If closed profit takes the balance to $103,000, the floor is $97,000. At $106,000 the floor locks at $100,000 and stays there.

2 Phase Pro. 10% then 5% (8% in Phase 1 with the Hybrid add-on, which also cuts the maximum loss to 8%), at least 3 trading days per phase, 5% daily drawdown and a 10% static maximum loss. No time limit. Positions are closed automatically from 3:00 PM EST every Friday unless you buy the Weekend Trading add-on. On a funded Pro account, a 3% loss limit per position group applies: all trades on the same symbol and direction are added together, and if their floating loss reaches 3% of the starting balance the account is breached at once, even if price recovers.

2 Phase Flex (accounts opened from August 24, 2026). 10% then 5%, each phase limited to 30 days, and each needs 5 profitable days of at least 0.5% of the initial balance. There is no daily drawdown in either phase, only a 5% static maximum that never trails. Once funded, a 2.5% daily drawdown applies, combined floating loss on open positions may never exceed 0.5% of the initial balance, and a 20% consistency rule applies. On a $100,000 funded Flex account that is $500 of open loss at any moment, across all positions.

The violation review. After you pass, the firm reviews the challenge before issuing a funded account. If it finds a violation, it sends you back to the phase where it happened and you must make up the “violated amount” first. Passing alone does not guarantee a funded account.

The consistency rule sets a practical minimum number of good days. On Instant Pro, if no day may exceed 10% of total profit, you need at least ten winning days of similar size to qualify, which matches the 10-profitable-day requirement. Instant Standard’s 15% cap needs at least seven. Neither rule fails the account; it only delays the payout until the ratio comes down.

  • Lot limits per symbol: for example 2 lots of forex and 0.30 lots of metals on $10,000, 20 lots of forex and 3 lots of metals on $100,000, 40 and 6 on $200,000. Double Leverage does not raise these.
  • News: without the News Trading add-on you may not open, modify or close trades from 5 minutes before to 5 minutes after a red-folder event, or during all-day red-folder events. Breaches cost the profit from those trades.
  • High-frequency limits: the firm flags 2 trades inside 3 seconds, 3 inside 10 seconds, 5 inside 30 seconds, 6 inside a minute or 30 inside an hour, and asks for 1 to 2 minutes between scaled entries.
  • Not allowed: Expert Advisors and other automation, copy or signal trading, hedging across accounts, grid trading, martingale, tick scalping, latency or reverse arbitrage, and “account rolling” (buying several challenges and letting some fail on purpose). Hedging inside one account is allowed.
  • Travel: trading from an IP address in a restricted country gets the account banned, even if your KYC is from an allowed country.

The Pro consistency limit depends on size: 40% at $50,000 and below, 30% at $100,000, 25% at $200,000 and 20% at $300,000. It resets after each payout. All open trades must be closed when you request.

Methods and timing. Rise (a $40 processing fee is deducted), Bitcoin or USDT on ERC-20 (network fees deducted, $100 minimum). Requests submitted before 4 PM EST are processed the next business day after the risk review. A change of payout address takes 24 hours to activate. Rise is not available in Iowa, Louisiana, Minnesota, South Carolina, Vermont, Washington, Puerto Rico and Guam, or for accounts linked to several countries including Belarus, Haiti, Iran, Lebanon, Myanmar, Ukraine and Zimbabwe; traders there are paid in crypto.

Fee refund. The current help centre article says the challenge fee is refunded with your third payout. The older Refunds page says it comes with the first withdrawal after passing. Assume the third payout until support confirms otherwise. If you fail KYC after passing, the help centre says the challenge fee is refunded instead of a funded account being issued.

The BestProps guide to payout caps explains how per-request and per-cycle caps compare across firms, and the consistency rules guide covers why a single big day can block a request.

Worked forex payout examples

These apply the published rules to round numbers. They show the arithmetic only; the dashboard decides eligibility.

The Instant Pro row shows the trade-off behind its $250 price: $10,000 of profit on a $100,000 account produces $2,500 for the trader at the first request. The same profit on Instant Standard would produce $5,600 (80% of $7,000 above the buffer), but that account cost $475 and allowed a 3% daily loss instead of 2%.

TX3 Funding futures: Instant, Core and Prestige

All three futures models use an end-of-day trailing maximum drawdown: it follows your end-of-day balance up and stops trailing once it reaches the starting balance (the help centre says it locks at the initial balance plus $100). The help centre describes the daily loss limit as a “soft breach”: trading locks for the rest of the session but the account survives. Instant and Core positions must be closed before the market close (the help centre gives a 4:10 PM EST auto-close); Prestige allows overnight holding.

Other futures rules from the help centre: no trading within 2% of a CME price limit; news straddles and strangles are banned; funded accounts must trade at least once every 7 days; at most 10 evaluations and 6 funded accounts per person and per household; and repeated 1 to 2 tick scalps are flagged. Instruments cover CME, CBOT, COMEX and NYMEX products such as ES, NQ, RTY, the micros, currency futures and micro Bitcoin.

Worked drawdown example, Core $100,000: the floor starts at $97,000. If you end a day at $101,500, the floor moves to $98,500 overnight; intraday swings above that do not move it. Once the end-of-day floor reaches the starting balance it stops. The 6% target is $6,000, so you need twice the drawdown in profit, made over at least five days, and any day that loses $1,500 locks trading until the next session. The BestProps guide to end-of-day drawdown firms compares this design with intraday trailing.

  • Core $100,000 ($378): funded profit $4,000 over four winning days, best day $1,500 (37.5%, inside 40%). You may request up to 50% of profit, $2,000; at 90% that is $1,800, with $2,000 left in the account as cushion.
  • Prestige $50,000 ($162): five winning days of $400 each make $2,000 with a best day at 20%. A request of $2,000 is under the $2,500 maximum; at 90% that is $1,800.

The BestProps payout readiness checklist can help you track winning days, consistency and KYC before you submit.

Scaling plan and funding caps

Only funded 2 Phase Pro accounts can scale. A review happens at payouts or when the account is at its initial balance, or you can request one every three months. To qualify you must close all trades, have taken payouts of at least 10% of the initial balance in the last three months, and be profitable in at least two of those three months. Each step adds 25% of the original balance and 5 points of profit split, up to 95%.
