TL;DR: trader2B is a Miami-based stock prop firm run by trader2B Software Solutions LLC. It started in 2010 as SFG Trading and took the trader2B name in 2015. It funds day traders in US stocks and ETFs on NYSE and Nasdaq only, with no futures, forex or crypto. Its one-step ToroChallenge is a monthly subscription. On October 11, 2026, Toro25 cost $99 a month, Toro100 $199 and Toro250 $299, or about a third less per month on a three-month plan. A Free Toro100 ($100,000 of buying power, no fee) was also offered as a limited-time deal. Every plan asks for a 6% profit target, at least 200 round trades and a Consistency Score of 50 or more, with no time limit. Daily loss limits run from $200 to $1,250. The profit split is 50% on the free account and 95% to 99% on paid plans, paid by PayPal or wire. Trustpilot shows 3.0 from 77 reviews, and only 9 of them are from the last 12 months. trader2B is an established, reachable company. The main risks are a Consistency Score whose formula is not published, ongoing market data costs, and very little public proof of payouts.
Research status: We checked this review on October 11, 2026 against trader2B’s own pages: the pricing and compare-plans page, the rules page, the ToroChallenge and How it Works pages, the free $100K challenge page, the platforms and symbols pages, the help centre articles linked below, the Terms and Conditions (last modified March 14, 2025) and the Risk Disclosure. We read Trustpilot and Reddit the same day. We did not buy or register an account. Anything that only shows after purchase or in the dashboard is printed as trader2B publishes it and was not verified by purchase.
trader2B review verdict: is it legit?
trader2B is a legitimate, operating business in the basic sense. It names its legal entity (trader2B Software Solutions LLC), publishes a Miami office address, a phone line staffed 8 AM to 5 PM Eastern, a Montreal development office and a named founder, Makram Kebti. Its rules are posted publicly, it keeps a help centre, and its history goes back to 2010 under the earlier name SFG Trading. A December 2021 press release from Nasdaq-listed LiveOne announced a binding letter of intent to license and possibly acquire trader2B’s technology. That is outside evidence that the company and its platform exist.
Being a real company does not make it the right firm for you. These points decide it:
- Stocks only. trader2B is one of the few prop firms built for US equities. You trade real NYSE and Nasdaq symbols with exchange data, not CFDs. There are no futures, forex or crypto accounts, and options are only described as a pilot.
- The pass rule is mostly a score you cannot calculate. The 6% target and 200 round trades are clear. The Consistency Score of 50 is a proprietary metric, and trader2B lists its inputs but not its formula. It is the most common source of complaints.
- Costs keep running. You pay every month you are in the challenge. Once funded, you will probably have to pay professional market data fees of about $150 to $250 a month, according to trader2B’s own help centre.
- The split is high on paid plans. 95% (Toro25), 97% (Toro100) and 99% (Toro250) are among the highest published splits. The free account pays 50%.
- Thin public payout evidence. We found no detailed, verifiable payout report from a funded trader on Reddit, and Trustpilot shows only 9 reviews in the last 12 months.
Our view: trader2B is not a scam on the evidence we read. It is an old, small, stock-focused firm with its own platform and unusually high paid-plan splits. It suits patient intraday stock traders who will trade often, keep losses even and can carry a monthly fee for a couple of months. If you want to pass in a week, or need to know exactly how you are scored, look elsewhere.

| History | 2010 founded as SFG Trading Ltd, a Canadian prop firm. 2013 first trading challenges. 2015 renamed trader2B. 2019 moved operations to Miami. 2022 launched the TraderFi trading game. 2026 launched the free $100K challenge |
| Corporate deal | LiveOne (Nasdaq: LVO) announced a binding letter of intent on December 28, 2021 to license trader2B’s platform and potentially acquire the company. trader2B’s timeline calls it a “licensing and acquisition agreement with a publicly traded company”. We found no record that an acquisition closed |
| Regulatory status | “trader2B is a technology and recruiting firm, not a broker-dealer.” It does not take deposits |
| Other businesses | White-label trading platforms and evaluation technology for other prop firms and brokers, and the free TraderFi stock market game |
The address mismatch is probably a typo, but it is the kind of detail to settle before you send identity documents. Use the contact page details and confirm by phone. trader2B also runs B2B technology for other firms. The software behind some other evaluations may come from trader2B, but that does not make those firms part of trader2B.
How trader2B and the ToroChallenge work
The ToroChallenge is a one-step evaluation. You trade a simulated account fed with real-time NYSE and Nasdaq data. Once you meet every requirement, you go through verification and receive a live funded account with the same buying power. There is no second phase and no verification stage after you pass.
- Pick a plan: Toro25, Toro100 or Toro250 on a monthly subscription, or the Free Toro100 if an allocation is open.
- Register for market data. trader2B’s login help article says you can log in straight away but cannot place trades until you complete the real-time market data registration sent by email.
- Trade US stocks and ETFs intraday from the approved symbol list, inside the daily loss limit and maximum drawdown.
- Meet all three pass requirements: a 6% profit target, at least 200 round trades, and a Consistency Score of at least 50. There is no time limit, but the subscription keeps billing.
- Pass the review. trader2B may look at how you traded, for example how many orders you placed while the market was closed, before activating a funded account.
- Verify and activate. You complete identity verification with a government ID that matches your account and bank details, and register as a professional market data subscriber.
- Trade the funded account with orders routed to the live market (NASDAQ, ARCA or SMART routing, per the help centre), and request payouts from the platform.

The structure is the same on every plan: a 6% target with a 3% to 4% drawdown, which trader2B describes as its 1:2 risk-reward model. The daily loss limit is tight. On Toro100 it is 0.5% of buying power, so six full-limit losing days in a row would use up the whole $3,000 drawdown (five on Toro25, six on Toro250).
trader2B pricing and what you really pay
The ToroChallenge is billed monthly, not as a one-time fee. trader2B says this is because US exchanges bill real-time data subscriptions monthly. Plans renew automatically until you cancel, and the FAQ says there are no activation fees or hidden fees. A three-month option is sold as “3 months for the price of 2” and displayed as a lower monthly price.
| Cost item | Amount | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Toro25 subscription | $99 a month, or $66 a month on 3-month billing | $25,000 buying power |
| Toro100 subscription | $199 a month, or $133 a month on 3-month billing | $100,000 buying power |
| Toro250 subscription | $299 a month, or $199 a month on 3-month billing | $250,000 buying power |
| Free Toro100 | $0 | Limited allocations; you may have to pay for real-time data if no free data seat is available |
| Optional dedicated market data (free account) | $29 a month | Lower latency in WebTrader; trader2B says it does not change rules or results |
| Trading fees | $3 per 1,000 shares | The compare page does not say whether this is charged per side |
| Professional market data once funded | About $150 to $250 a month | Charged by the exchanges; may be deducted from a payout or paid by you and reimbursed, per the help centre |
| Challenge fee refund | Up to $594 / $894 / $1,494 | Returned with your first payout (Toro25 / Toro100 / Toro250) |
| Activation fee | None | Stated on the homepage and pricing FAQ |
Worked cost scenarios
trader2B says the average trader took about 52 days to pass in 2025, so plan on at least two billing months. This table shows subscription cost only, by how long you take. We worked out the three-month totals from the “3 months for the price of 2” offer, so check the exact charge at checkout.
| Time in the challenge | Toro25 monthly / 3-month | Toro100 monthly / 3-month | Toro250 monthly / 3-month |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 month | $99 / $198 | $199 / $398 | $299 / $598 |
| 2 months (around the 52-day average) | $198 / $198 | $398 / $398 | $598 / $598 |
| 3 months | $297 / $198 | $597 / $398 | $897 / $598 |
| 6 months | $594 / $396 | $1,194 / $796 | $1,794 / $1,196 |
What this means for you:
- If you expect to need two months or more, the three-month plan costs the same or less. If you might pass or quit inside a month, monthly billing risks less money.
- The refund caps limit how much comes back. Toro25’s $594 cap equals six months at $99. Six months of Toro100 at $199 ($1,194) is more than its $894 cap, so a slow pass on monthly billing is not fully refunded.
- Add trading fees. 200 round trades of 300 shares is 60,000 shares bought and 60,000 sold. At $3 per 1,000 shares, that costs $180 if only one side is charged and $360 if both sides are. Ask support which applies.
- Add the funded-stage data fee. At $150 to $250 a month, a funded trader making $1,000 a month gives up 15% to 25% of it to data before anything else.
The free $100K ToroChallenge
trader2B’s main offer on October 11, 2026 was a “Limited-Time Offer”: a Free Toro100 with $100,000 of buying power, no fee and no credit card. It is one of the few genuinely free prop firm evaluations. The terms are on trader2B’s free challenge page and help centre:
- Same pass rules as Toro100: 6% target ($6,000), $500 daily max loss, 200 round trades, Consistency Score of 50, US stocks only, day trading only.
- Allocation is limited. Free accounts are “released in controlled batches”, and you get one per trader after registration and identity verification.
- Market data may not be free. Real-time data is required. If no free data seat is available, “you may need to cover the exchange data cost”, and trader2B will email you when a free seat opens. The complimentary feed is “best-efforts”. An optional dedicated feed costs $29 a month.
- Activity rules. You must activate within 10 days of approval. An account inactive for 10 consecutive days may be closed and returned to the pool. The compare table lists the activity requirement as 7 days.
- It pays 50%, not 97%. Once funded, the free account pays a 50% split, bi-weekly, with no fee refund (there was no fee).
- Max drawdown means a reset. The FAQ says that if you hit the maximum drawdown, “a reset is required to continue”. The page does not publish a reset price for the free account.
Is the free account the better deal? At a 50% split compared with 97%, the paid Toro100 earns an extra 47 cents on every dollar of funded profit. Two months of Toro100 ($398) is paid back after about $847 of funded profit, even before the fee refund. If you are confident you can pass, the paid plan is likely to pay more. If you mainly want to test the platform and the Consistency Score, start free.
Discounts, trials, refunds and cancelling
- Current discounts: the only offers on trader2B’s own pages on October 11, 2026 were the Free Toro100 and the three-months-for-two pricing. We found no published promo code. Coupon sites list other trader2B codes that we could not confirm with the firm.
- Past sales: in a January 6, 2026 reply on Trustpilot, trader2B said a customer had bought during a “Black Friday 50% promotional sale” that was “clearly marked as final sale at checkout”. That is the firm’s own record of one past half-price sale.
- TraderFi tokens: players of trader2B’s free TraderFi game can convert tokens into a first-month ToroChallenge entry. The help centre’s table shows Toro25 free for 2,000 tokens and Toro100 free for 3,000 tokens, with partial discounts at lower token counts.
- Trial: a 14-day trial account exists for learning the platform. It cannot be extended.
- Refunds: the Terms say “Generally, all charges for purchases are nonrefundable”, with a possible exception “if a refund for a subscription offering is requested within seven days of the transaction date”. trader2B also says exchange market data fees are non-refundable once data access is granted.
- Cancel, pause or upgrade: you can cancel at any time and keep access to the end of the paid period. You can pause and come back with your progress and stats saved, or upgrade to a larger plan.
- Chargebacks: the Terms allow immediate termination if you reverse a payment. trader2B told one Trustpilot reviewer that his account was restricted after he threatened a chargeback.
Profit target, daily loss limit and max drawdown
The 6% profit target
Every plan has a 6% target: $1,500 on Toro25, $6,000 on Toro100 and $15,000 on Toro250. Reaching it does not pass the challenge on its own. trader2B’s help centre says “Reaching the profit target alone does not complete the challenge; all requirements must be satisfied.” Profit made on buying power above your limit does not count (see the trading rules below).
The daily loss limit
The daily max loss is $200 (Toro25), $500 (Toro100 and Free Toro100) or $1,250 (Toro250). Once you reach it, “trading stops for the remainder of the day”. The rules page describes it as a pause, not a failed account. Use our daily loss limit calculator to size positions against it. On Toro100, a stop that risks $100 per trade allows five losing trades before the day ends.
Max drawdown: static or trailing?
The maximum drawdown is $1,000, $3,000 or $7,500. Reaching it fails the challenge, and you can then reset to the starting balance and try again without buying a new challenge. trader2B describes the drawdown two ways. The rules page body says it “limits the total allowable loss from initial balance”, which is a static floor. The rules page FAQ says drawdown rules limit losses “from its highest equity level”, which is a trailing floor. On a Toro100 account the difference is large:
| Toro100 example | If measured from the starting balance | If measured from the highest equity |
|---|---|---|
| Start at $100,000 | Fail at $97,000 | Fail at $97,000 |
| Climb to a high of $104,000 | Still fail at $97,000 | Fail at $101,000 |
| Pull back to $102,500 | $5,500 of room left | $1,500 of room left |
Until trader2B confirms which applies to your account, plan as if it trails, and ask support in writing. Our guides to trailing drawdown rules and static versus trailing drawdown explain why it matters.
The Consistency Score
trader2B says it created the Consistency Score, and it calls it “similar to how a FICO credit score reflects financial responsibility”. You need 50 or more to pass. The help centre lists five inputs:
- Maximum daily drawdown: your largest peak-to-low drop within a day. Smaller is better.
- Daily net profit: more steady green days raise the score.
- Total account balance: higher equity helps.
- Trading period length: more days give a more reliable score.
- Average win against average loss: if your average loss is bigger than your average win, the score falls.
A score below 0 means “poor consistency and weak risk control”, and a score above 50 reflects “strong, professional-level consistency”. trader2B does not publish the formula or the weightings, so you cannot work out your score in advance. Two help articles explain why a score can stay low near the target. The score needs enough completed round trades to settle: “30 individual trades equal only 15 completed round trades out of the required 200”. The dashboard also updates trades and KPIs only at the end of the trading day, not in real time.
This score is behind the strongest complaint we read. A December 2025 Trustpilot reviewer said support explained the score to him as daily P&L measured against the previous day’s balance, and concluded that 50 meant a 50% return. trader2B replied that the score “is not a requirement to achieve 50% ROI” and measures how profits and losses are spread over time. In practice:
- Keep your average loss smaller than your average win. That is the one input you fully control.
- Avoid one oversized day. trader2B says the score exists to stop people passing “through a single oversized win”.
- Spread your trading over many days. A fast pass with few round trades is unlikely to score well.
- Check the score daily after the close and ask support to explain it in writing before you change your approach.
For how other firms handle this, see our consistency rule guide and hidden consistency rules that cause payout denials.
200 round trades and how long it takes
A round trade is a full position cycle, the entry and the exit. Every plan needs at least 200, so a buy and its matching sell count as one. This shapes your strategy:
| Plan | Profit target | Average net profit per round trade if you stop at 200 | Round trades per day to finish in 40 trading days |
|---|---|---|---|
| Toro25 | $1,500 | $7.50 | 5 |
| Toro100 | $6,000 | $30 | 5 |
| Toro250 | $15,000 | $75 | 5 |
There is no time limit. trader2B says the average pass took about 52 days in 2025, and its How it Works page says most traders finish within 9 to 10 weeks. Both suggest at least two billing months. Your account shows an “Active Until” date because access renews monthly. If you do not log in for 10 consecutive days, it may be treated as inactive.
Day trading, off-hours orders, bots and other rules
| Rule | What trader2B publishes |
|---|---|
| Trading style | Day trading only on all challenge plans. Close all positions before the market close. AutoFlatter closes forgotten positions on Toro100, Free Toro100 and Toro250 |
| Instruments | NYSE and Nasdaq stocks and ETFs on the approved symbol list (about 49 pages of symbols). Symbol limits are 50, 100 or 500+ by plan. You can ask support to review a missing symbol |
| Long and short | Both permitted |
| Options | Not available. A help article says an options pilot is planned “in the coming weeks” but gives no date |
| Buying power | Profit or loss on any part of a position above your buying power does not count toward the target, the score or payouts. Exceeding it can lead to a warning, suspension or termination |
| Off-hours orders | Allowed, but reviewed before funding. As a guideline, you should place fewer orders while the market is closed than while it is open. Using most of your buying power on an overnight order can count against you |
| Bots and API | “Algorithmic & Bot Trading Allowed” through approved bots and API access. The API limits are 10 requests a second and 100 orders a minute. Automation with up to 50 accounts is described on Toro250 |
| Copy trading | The compare table shows no copy-trade feature on any plan, although the help centre describes copy trading through the API. Ask before you rely on it |
| News trading | No news ban is published on the pages we read |
| Consistency | Consistency Score of 50 or more (see above) |
| Resets | Available on every plan after a max drawdown failure. The pages we read do not publish a reset price |
| Accounts per trader | 2, 5 or 20 accounts by plan on the compare table; one Free Toro100 per trader |
Rules once you are funded
trader2B’s “Funded Trading Account Rules” article adds rules that apply after you pass:
- All positions must be flat before 4:00 PM Eastern. No overnight positions.
- If you hit the daily max loss on your first trading day, the next day’s daily max loss is cut in half. If you hit it again on the second day, it is cut in half again on the third day. It returns to normal once your total balance is positive. On a funded Toro100 with a $500 limit, that would mean $250 on day two and, if halved again, $125 on day three.
- Three losing days in a row, or a negative total balance, can lead to your live trading access being disabled.
- Losing more than 50% of account equity in one day can also lead to access being disabled for poor risk management.
- If access is disabled, you can go back to the ToroChallenge and qualify again at your own cost.
The three-losing-days rule is the one to plan around. Most prop firms only end a funded account at the drawdown limit. At trader2B, a run of small red days can be enough for a review.
