Rules can change: The firm or platform controls the current wording. Confirm the linked source and your dashboard before you trade or request a payout.

TradeFundrr rules for the four accounts it sells today: Stock Pre-Prop, Stock Prop, Options Pre-Prop and Options Prop. TradeFundrr is a New York firm that funds U.S. stock and options day traders. Since October 5, 2026 it sells a Pre-Prop account (a five-day evaluation) and a Prop account (no evaluation, payouts after five qualifying days) for each asset class, plus an application-only Pro desk. The rule book is short and the same on all four accounts: a $1,000 daily loss limit that pauses trading for the day, a $3,000 end-of-day trailing drawdown that closes the account, a $1,250 profit target with a 30% best-session (consistency) rule, a 15-second minimum hold and intraday-only trading with no bots. What catches traders out is underneath: the drawdown keeps its level when you withdraw, a single big day raises your target and the target never comes back down, payout caps start at $1,000 or $2,000 per cycle, payouts stop at $25,000 per asset class, and options spreads filled better than the midpoint lose their gains. This page sets out every rule with the official numbers, worked examples and two calculators, answers whether TradeFundrr has a scaling plan, lists the older rules that still show up in search, and flags where the firm’s own pages disagree.

Checked October 11, 2026. BestProps read all 16 articles in TradeFundrr’s current “Preprop Program And Prop Program FAQs” help-centre folder (updated October 5, 2026), the restricted-countries article (updated October 8, 2026), the four Pre-Prop and Prop product pages and the Pro page, the Options Prop FAQ, the Terms and Conditions (last updated October 9, 2026) including the options complex-strategy and daily-loss-limit policy, the Fee Refund Policy, the product cards on the public checkout page, and the legacy help-centre articles and landing page that still rank for TradeFundrr rule searches, on that date. BestProps did not buy an account, so dashboard behaviour (for example how the profit target is measured after a payout) is printed as the firm publishes it and was not verified by purchase.

What can trip you up

$1,000Daily loss limit on every current account. Hitting it pauses trading until the next session; it does not close the account.
$3,000 EODTrailing drawdown on every current account. It follows the highest end-of-day balance, stops at the starting balance and closes the account if reached.
30% / $1,250Five sessions of $250+ net, $1,250 total, and no session above 30% of the target. A bigger day raises the target for good.
No size scalingAccount sizes are fixed. What grows is the payout cap per cycle, up to a $25,000 lifetime cap per asset class.

Rows To Inspect First

These are the rules that most often decide whether an account pays out. The labels explain why each is surfaced; they are not a recommendation to buy or avoid any account.

Withdrawals shrink your cushion

A payout lowers the balance by the full request, but the drawdown threshold stays where it was. Every payout brings the closing level closer.

One big day moves the target

Any session above $375 raises the $1,250 target to best day / 0.30, and the firm says the higher target is never lowered, even after a payout.

Payouts stop at $25,000 per trader per asset class; the trader is then moved to the firm’s live trading partner. Per-cycle caps start at $1,000 (Pre-Prop) or $2,000 (Prop).

Rule areaOfficial-source snapshotWhat to verify + evidence
Daily loss limit
$1,000 soft
The daily loss limit is $1,000 for both the Options and Stock programs. In both Pre-Prop and Prop accounts, exceeding it is a soft breach and does not lose the account. It resets at the start of each session and counts realized and unrealized PnL.The product pages say reaching it “pauses trading for the session”. On options accounts the Terms measure it on equity at every moment, with open positions valued at each leg’s midpoint.

Maximum trailing drawdown
$3,000 EOD trailing
The maximum trailing drawdown is $3,000 on both programs and is a hard breach that fails the account. It trails the realized balance, is recalculated at the end of the session and stops trailing once the threshold reaches the initial balance.Withdrawals lower the balance but not the threshold (Prop pages). Track the live threshold on the dashboard, as the firm advises.

Profit target
$1,250 base
The initial profit target is $1,250 for Options and Stock accounts in both programs. It rises if any session makes more than $375.Once raised, the target is never revised lower, even after a payout request.

Source: Help centre: What is the profit target? and Help centre: How does the 30% consistency rule work?, checked October 11, 2026.

30% consistency rule
best day / 0.30
No single session may account for more than 30% of the profit target. Revised target = highest session profit / 0.30; the help centre example is $600 / 0.30 = $2,000.Size winners with the 30% rule in mind: a $1,000 day makes the target $3,333.33.

Qualifying days
5 x $250 net
Five profitable sessions of at least $250 each (not consecutive) and at least $1,250 total profit, plus the 30% rule. Qualifying sessions use net realized profit after commissions. Pre-Prop accounts complete this once to move to the Prop step and a second time before the first payout.Commissions count: a $255 gross day can fall below $250 net. Evaluation days do not count toward payout days.

Payout request size
50% and cycle cap
Each request can be up to 50% of account profit, capped per cycle: Pre-Prop (in the Prop step) $1,000 in cycles 1-3, $1,500 in 4-5, $2,000 in 6, $3,000 from 7; Prop $2,000, $2,500, $3,500 and $5,000 at the same steps. Minimum request $250 ($200 after the 80/20 split). After an approved payout the consistency days reset; the target and drawdown threshold stay at their pre-payout levels.

Lifetime payout cap
$25,000 per asset class
Maximum cumulative payout is $25,000 per trader, per asset class. Then the trader is transitioned to the firm’s live proprietary trading partner. An older general-information article (May 2025) still lists lower guidelines for legacy products. The current program article wins for Pre-Prop and Prop.

Minimum hold time
15 seconds
There is a 15-second minimum hold for profitable trades in the options and stock programs. Profit from any trade held 15 seconds or less is excluded from the balance. The product pages word it more broadly: “Hold each trade for at least 15 seconds.”

Which TradeFundrr Accounts These Rules Cover

TradeFundrr relaunched its line-up around October 5, 2026. Its Fee Refund Policy says “Prop accounts were previously sold as Express Funding accounts” and that Express Funding accounts bought before October 5, 2026 are covered “including for asset classes that are no longer offered”. The website now sells only stock and options accounts. Futures and crypto programs, and the Growth, Growth Plus, Incubator, Instant Funding and Fundrr Flex accounts, survive only as “Legacy Product FAQs” in the help centre (Fee Refund Policy, Legacy Product FAQs).

  • Pre-Prop (stocks or options): $599 one-time plus $99 a month. A simulated evaluation: complete the consistency requirements once, get promoted to the Prop step with no promotion fee, then complete them a second time before the first payout. No time limit. The $599 is not refundable.
  • Prop (stocks or options): $1,499 one-time plus $99 a month. No evaluation; payout eligibility starts after five qualifying sessions. The one-time fee comes back with the first qualifying payout, once per customer per asset class for life.
  • Pro: an application-only desk. The Pro pages describe a capital contribution leveraged up to 20x; the Prop pages describe an invitation-only firm-funded desk. See the conflicts section below.

The public checkout page on October 11, 2026 also showed two options cards that are not on the website: “Options Starter – Prop 5k” and “Options Flex – Prop 5k”. Their cards listed smaller limits (Starter: $250 daily loss limit described as soft, $1,000 maximum drawdown, five days of $125; Flex: $500 daily loss limit and $1,500 maximum drawdown; both with a $10,000 overall payout cap). These were read from the product cards before payment and were not verified by purchase; the rest of this page covers the four accounts the website sells (checkout).

TradeFundrr Account Rules Side by Side

TradeFundrr Drawdown: The $3,000 End-of-Day Trailing Limit

Every current TradeFundrr account has a $3,000 maximum trailing drawdown, and it is the only rule that closes the account on its own. The help centre calls it a hard breach: “exceeding the maximum trailing drawdown is considered a hard breach and will result in the account failing” (trailing drawdown article).

How it moves, in the firm’s words and in plain terms:

  • It trails your end-of-day balance. The threshold sits $3,000 below the highest balance you have closed a session at. The help centre says it trails the “realized balance” and is “recalculated at the end of the trading session”; the product pages say it “follows your highest end-of-day balance and never moves down”. Because every position must be flat at the close, the two descriptions land on the same number.
  • It does not trail intraday. A morning run-up that you give back before the close does not lift the threshold.
  • It stops at your starting balance. Once the threshold reaches $100,000 (stocks) or $25,000 (options) it stays there. The Pre-Prop pages give the examples: an end-of-day balance of $103,000 raises the threshold to $100,000, and $28,000 raises it to $25,000 on options.
  • Withdrawals do not lower it. The Prop pages say “Withdrawals lower your account balance without lowering the loss threshold”, and the payout article says the threshold “will remain unchanged at its pre-payout level”.

Worked example: a $100,000 stock account

SessionEnd-of-day balanceHighest EOD so farDrawdown thresholdRoom before the account closes
Day 1$100,600$100,600$97,600$3,000
Day 2$101,400$101,400$98,400$3,000
Day 3$100,900$101,400$98,400$2,500
Day 4$102,500$102,500$99,500$3,000
Day 5$103,200$103,200$100,000 (locked)$3,200
Day 6$102,000$103,200$100,000 (locked)$2,000

On Day 3 the balance fell but the threshold stayed at $98,400; it never moves down. On Day 5 the formula would give $100,200, but the threshold stops at the $100,000 starting balance and stays there for the life of the account.

Worked example: what a payout does to your cushion

A Stock Prop trader closes the fifth qualifying session at $101,800 (account profit $1,800, best session $450). The highest end-of-day balance is $101,800, so the threshold is $98,800 and the cushion is $3,000. The 30% rule makes the target $450 / 0.30 = $1,500, which the $1,800 profit clears. The trader may request up to 50% of profit, $900, which is under the $2,000 Cycle 1 cap, and receives 80% of it, $720. After approval the balance is $100,900, the threshold is still $98,800, and the cushion has shrunk from $3,000 to $2,100. If the account had already locked at $100,000, a $1,500 payout from a $103,000 balance would leave only $1,500 of room.

Plan each payout as a cut in your loss allowance. Two or three payouts early in an account’s life can leave less room than one bad session.

Drawdown and daily-limit calculator

Enter your numbers. The calculator applies TradeFundrr’s published rules: threshold = highest end-of-day balance minus $3,000, never above the starting balance; daily pause level = today’s starting balance minus $1,000.

Result

The Daily Loss Limit: A $1,000 Pause, Not a Fail

The daily loss limit is $1,000 on all four accounts. The help centre says that “in both the Preprop and Prop accounts, exceeding the daily loss limit is considered a soft breach and does not result in the loss of the account”, that it “resets at the start of each trading session” and that it is “calculated using both realized and unrealized PnL” (daily loss limit article). The product pages say reaching it “pauses trading for the rest of the session. Your account stays open and you can resume next session.”

How the options policy measures it

The Terms add a detailed policy for options accounts (Section 33, “Options Programs: Complex Strategy and Daily Loss Limit Policy”):

  • The limit is measured on equity at every moment of the session: balance plus the unrealized result of all open positions.
  • It is reached the moment equity falls $1,000 below the day’s starting balance, which is the prior day’s closing balance.
  • Open positions are valued at the midpoint of each leg’s displayed bid and ask. When quotes widen in a fast move, that value “can change sharply within seconds”, and the trader is responsible for sizing with that in mind.
  • A smaller realized loss after the platform closes your positions does not reverse the breach.
  • One exception: if the maximum possible loss of all open positions, plus the day’s realized losses and adjustments, was less than the limit, the breach is reversed. The policy’s example is a 5-lot long butterfly bought for 0.15 (maximum loss $75) showing an unrealized loss above $1,000: reversed. A short 5-point butterfly sold for 0.90 (maximum loss $2,050): the breach stands.

When the drawdown is closer than the daily limit

The daily limit is not always the line you hit first. Take a stock account that has locked its threshold at $100,000 and starts the day at $100,700. The daily pause level is $99,700, but the account closes at $100,000, so a $700 loss ends the account before the daily limit is ever reached. Early in an options account the reverse is true: at a $25,600 start with a $26,000 high, the threshold is $23,000 and the $24,600 daily pause comes first. The calculator above shows which line is closer for your numbers.

The options policy also says that “in some programs trading pauses for the rest of the session and the account stays open. In others the account fails. Each program’s rules say which applies.” For the current Pre-Prop and Prop accounts, the help centre and product pages say it is a pause. Older accounts had hard daily limits; see the legacy section.

TradeFundrr Consistency Rule: The 30% Best-Session Rule

TradeFundrr’s consistency requirements decide when you can be promoted (Pre-Prop) and when you can be paid (Prop step and Prop). There are three parts, and all three must be met (consistency metrics article):

  1. Five profitable sessions of at least $250 each. They do not need to be consecutive. The product pages say qualifying sessions “use net realized profit after commissions”.
  2. At least $1,250 of total account profit (the initial profit target).
  3. The 30% rule: no single session may be more than 30% of the profit target. With a $1,250 target that is $375. If a session makes more, the target rises to highest session profit / 0.30.

The firm adds two details that matter. “Once the profit target has been increased, it will not be revised lower, even if the account balance su
