Rules can change: The firm or platform controls the current wording. Confirm the linked source and your dashboard before you trade or request a payout.

Atlas Funded rules for every CFD/Forex and futures program, with the funded-stage rules that end accounts or cost profit first. Atlas Funded sells seven CFD/Forex programs and four futures tiers. Their drawdown types, daily limits, consistency rules and payout days all differ, and four extra rules (Atlas Protector, the news window, the 3-minute hold and margin usage) only switch on once you are funded. Pick your program below, then check the dollar tables and worked examples before you trade.

Checked October 11, 2026. Every value on this page was read that day from Atlas Funded’s help centre (pages marked “Last reviewed 27 September 2026. Rules shown are read from the Atlas risk engine”), its Trading Rules and Regulations rulebook (v1.0, July 2026) and its terms (last updated October 4, 2026). BestProps did not buy an account, so nothing here was verified by purchase. The rulebook is older than the help centre and disagrees with it in several places; this page follows the help centre and lists every conflict in its own section.

Choose your Atlas Funded program. The result lists the official rule values for the evaluation (where there is one) and the funded account.

What can trip you up

2%Open loss that triggers Atlas Protector on every funded CFD account. The first trigger cuts your split to 50% for good.
3 minutesMinimum hold on funded trades. Profit on anything closed sooner is deducted.
±5 minutesNews window around red-folder events on funded accounts, on every instrument.
30 daysLongest gap allowed between trades on every program except Instant Zero.

Rows To Inspect First

These rules change outcomes most often in Atlas Funded’s own wording and in the public complaints BestProps read. The labels explain why each row is surfaced; they are not a recommendation to buy or avoid any program.

Atlas Protector is permanent

On any funded CFD account, open losses of 2% of the starting balance close every position and drop your split to 50% for the life of the account. A second trigger breaches it.

floating PnLsplit cut

Trailing floors on Instant and Access

Instant Zero and Instant Funded trail the highest closed balance once a day. Access trails equity in real time, so an open winner that reverses still lifts the floor.

trailingprogram-specific

Funded-only deductions

Profit on funded trades held under 3 minutes, opened or closed within 5 minutes of red-folder news, or closed by the 80% margin rule is removed. None of these apply in an evaluation.

Maximum drawdown by program
4% to 10%
Static: 1-Step 7%, 1-Step Pro 6%, 2-Step 10%, 2-Step Pro 8%. Trailing at end of day: Instant Zero 4%, Instant Funded 5%. Trailing on equity: Access 10% in evaluation, 6% funded. Breach is checked live on equity, open trades included.Trailing floors never move down and do not stop at the starting balance. After a payout the floor is re-anchored to the new balance on every program except the two Pro programs, whose floor never moves.

Daily loss limit
3% to 5% or none
1-Step 4% static, 2-Step 5% static, Instant Funded 3% trailing end of day, Access 5% (evaluation) then 3% (funded) trailing end of day. Instant Zero, 1-Step Pro and 2-Step Pro have none. Every floor is set from equity at 00:00 UTC.Equity at the reset includes trades held overnight, so a losing trade carried past midnight starts the new day from the lower level. Going below the day’s floor is a breach.

Atlas Protector
2% open loss
Funded accounts only. If open loss reaches 2% of the initial balance, every position is closed and the split drops to 50% for the life of the account. The second trigger closes everything and breaches the account.Open loss is the larger of net floating loss or the sum of every losing position, so a winning trade or hedge elsewhere does not hide a big loser. The cut applies even with the 100% split add-on.

Consistency rule
20% / 40% / none
Instant Funded: best day at most 20% of the cycle’s profit. Access funded: 40%. Instant Zero, 1-Step, 1-Step Pro, 2-Step and 2-Step Pro: no consistency rule. Futures: Standard 50% to pass and 40% funded, Direct and Live 20%, Apex none.Measured on closed profit per UTC day at payout time. Being over the limit only delays the payout; the account is never breached by it.

From 5 minutes before to 5 minutes after every red-folder event on Forex Factory, on every instrument. Profit on a trade opened or closed inside the window is deducted; a position opened inside it is closed automatically.Trades opened before the window and closed after it are fine. Evaluations can trade the news freely. The rule never breaches the account.

On funded accounts, if margin used / (margin used + free margin) reaches 80%, every position is closed and the profit on them is deducted. Pro programs: 3 days with any closed trade.A trading day is a UTC day on which a trade closed. Losing days do not reset the count; it restarts after each payout.

Inactivity

deduction, decline or breach
Hedging across Atlas accounts or with another firm to pass or be paid on one side, latency or tick arbitrage, account sharing or passing services, order flooding, hiding who trades by logging in from several locations, and exploiting bugs.Reviewed by the risk team, usually before a payout. Applies to evaluation and funded accounts. EAs, scalping (with the 3-minute hold) and overnight or weekend holding are listed as allowed.

Futures drawdown and close
EOD trailing, flat by 4:45 PM ET
Every futures account trails its highest end-of-day balance, recalculated at 4:45 PM New York time. On funded Standard, Apex and Direct the floor stops at the starting balance and locks there at the first payout request. Any position open after 4:45 PM ET breaches the account.Atlas Standard also has a 2% daily lockout, which closes positions and stops trading until the next reset but is not a breach.

Atlas Funded CFD/Forex Programs Side by Side

Atlas Funded splits its CFD/Forex accounts into instant programs (funded from the first trade, no profit target) and evaluation programs (one or two phases). The help centre says every program has the same rules on MetaTrader 5, TradeLocker and Match-Trader and at every account size, with leverage up to 1:100.

Standard vs Pro. The Pro versions of 1-Step and 2-Step remove the daily loss limit and the evaluation minimum days, ask for 3 funded days with any closed trade instead of 5 days of +0.5%, and lower the payout threshold to $50. In exchange the static drawdown is tighter (6% instead of 7%, 8% instead of 10%) and it never re-anchors after a payout. Only the Pro programs can buy the Daily Payouts add-on.

Instant Zero Rules

Instant Zero is funded from the first trade and has one loss limit to watch: a 4% drawdown that trails your highest closed balance once a day. There is no daily loss limit, no consistency rule and no inactivity limit. The funded-account rules (Atlas Protector, news window, 3-minute hold and margin usage) apply from day one, because there is no evaluation.

  • Maximum drawdown 4%, trailing at end of day: at each 00:00 UTC reset the floor moves to 4% below the highest closed balance reached. It never moves down, does not stop at the starting balance, and open profit never raises it.
  • No daily loss limit. You can lose more than any set percentage in a day as long as equity stays above the 4% floor and open losses stay under the 2% Atlas Protector trigger.
  • No consistency rule: one strong day can make up the whole payout.
  • Payouts: 5 qualifying days of at least 1% closed profit per cycle, $100 profit threshold, first window 28 days after the account is created, then every 14 days (14 then 7 with the Weekly Payout add-on).
  • After a payout the floor becomes 4% below the post-payout balance and keeps trailing from there.
  • Sizes $5K to $200K.

$100,000$96,000$2,000$1,000
$200,000$192,000$4,000$2,000
Worked trailing example from the help centre ($10,000). The floor starts at $9,600. Closed balance peaks at $10,450 on Tuesday, so from Wednesday 00:00 UTC the floor is $10,032 ($10,450 x 0.96). Notice that after a 4.5% gain, the account can now only lose $418 from that peak before it breaches, and the floor is already above the starting balance.

Instant Funded Rules

Instant Funded is the larger instant account ($5K to $400K). It adds a daily loss limit and a 20% consistency rule to a slightly wider 5% trailing drawdown.

  • Maximum drawdown 5%, trailing at end of day from the highest closed balance, recalculated at 00:00 UTC. It never moves down.
  • Daily loss limit 3%, trailing end of day: today’s floor is equity at 00:00 UTC x 0.97, fixed for the day.
  • Consistency 20%: at payout, your best UTC day may be at most 20% of the cycle’s closed profit. If it is higher the payout waits; the account is not breached.
  • Payouts: 5 qualifying days of at least 1% per cycle, $100 threshold, first window after 28 days, then every 14 days.
  • Inactivity 30 days. Funded-account rules apply from the first trade.

$400,000$380,000$388,000$8,000$4,000
Worked example from the help centre ($50,000). The floor starts at $47,500. Equity reaches $51,200 with a trade open: the floor stays at $47,500. The trade closes and the day ends at a $50,300 balance, so from 00:00 UTC the next day the floor is $47,785 ($50,300 x 0.95). The 3% daily floor for that next day is set from equity at the reset: $50,300 x 0.97 = $48,791.

1-Step and 1-Step Pro Rules

Both are one-phase evaluations with a static drawdown that never trails. Floating profit does not count toward the target: the phase passes on closed balance, the moment the target and minimum days are both met.

Atlas Funded’s own $25,000 1-Step example: target balance $27,500, drawdown floor $23,250, and if equity at 00:00 UTC was $25,800 that day’s floor is $24,800. A qualifying funded day needs at least $125 of closed profit.

2-Step and 2-Step Pro Rules

2-Step has the widest limits Atlas sells (10% static drawdown, 5% static daily). 2-Step Pro has the lowest targets (7% then 4%) with no daily limit and no minimum days. Phase 2 is issued automatically at the same size with a fresh balance.

Atlas Funded’s $50,000 2-Step example: Phase 1 balance to reach $54,000, Phase 2 $52,500, drawdown floor $45,000 in every phase, a daily floor of $48,500 if equity at 00:00 UTC was $51,000, and a qualifying funded day of $250.

Access (Pay Later) Rules

Access costs $5 to start a one-phase evaluation with a 3% target. If you pass you have 30 days to pay the funded fee for your size; if the window closes the offer lapses. Its drawdown trails equity in real time, which is the strictest drawdown type Atlas uses.

The trade above added $100 to the balance, but the floor rose $540 because it followed the $10,600 equity high, so the room above the floor fell from $1,000 to $560. On Access, take partial profit or tighten stops on runners if you do not want an open winner to lift the floor.

Fee refund and resets differ on Access: the refund with your 3rd consecutive payout is only the $5 entry fee, and a funded-stage reset costs 1.55 times the funded fee you paid. Current Access prices and the funded fee for each size are on the Atlas Funded deals page.

Atlas Funded Futures Rules

Atlas Futures is a separate market with its own programs: Atlas Standard and Atlas Apex (one-phase evaluations), Atlas Direct (funded from day one) and Atlas Live (not sold, earned after the 4th paid payout). Accounts trade CME futures on Volumetrica in $25K, $50K, $100K and $150K sizes. The CFD rules above do not apply here.
