We checked 22 prop firms that sell an exact $5,000 or $10,000 account today, not a nearby size rounded in, and ranked every one on cost per $1,000 of loss room using the smallest max-loss dollar figure the product reaches at any stage, evaluation or funded. Alpha Capital Group’s Alpha Pro 10% is the cheapest $5,000 evaluation at $66.00 per $1,000 ($33 list, $500 static floor), ahead of The5ers’ High Stakes at $70.00, both with floors that never trail, and Blue Guardian’s 1 Step Nano is the cheapest $10,000 evaluation at $64.43 per $1,000, though its floor trails the balance high-water mark rather than staying fixed; the cheapest static $10,000 floor is Goat Funded Trader’s 2 Step GOAT at $65.00 per $1,000. Audacity Capital’s Ability Challenge drops to eighth at $5,000 ($98.00 per $1,000) and seventh at $10,000 ($79.00 per $1,000) once the funded-stage floor, not the wider Phase 1 figure, sets the price. Instant, no-evaluation accounts cost far more per $1,000 in almost every case: Crypto Fund Trader’s $5,000 Instant Evaluation costs $800.00 per $1,000, roughly 7 times more than this same firm’s own $5,000 2-Phase challenge at $116.00 per $1,000. Fourteen futures prop firms we checked sell nothing below $25,000 at all; this $5,000 and $10,000 market is forex and CFD only.

Quick picks for 5K and 10K prop firm accounts
- Cheapest $5,000 evaluation per $1,000 of loss room: Alpha Capital Group Alpha Pro 10%, $66.00 per $1,000, with a $500 floor that never trails.
- Cheapest $10,000 evaluation per $1,000 of loss room: Blue Guardian 1 Step Nano, $64.43 per $1,000, though its floor trails the balance high-water mark; the cheapest static $10,000 floor is Goat Funded Trader 2 Step GOAT at $65.00 per $1,000.
- Static floor with the longest scaling path at $5,000: The5ers High Stakes, $70.00 per $1,000, with a real $5K to $500K scaling table.
- Cheapest 1-step with a static floor at $5,000: Instant Funding One-Phase Pro, $110.00 per $1,000. Blue Guardian’s 1 Step Nano is cheaper at $88.87, but its floor trails.
- Best for real equities: Trade The Pool Day Trading FLEX, the only Nasdaq stocks and ETFs product sold at exactly $5,000 in this set.
- Cheapest instant $5,000 account with a static floor: Instant Funding IF Micro Lite, $196.67 per $1,000, the only $5K instant product with a static rather than trailing floor among the cheapest options.
Why sticker price misleads at this size: a cheaper fee does not always buy more drawdown room. Audacity Capital’s $49 Ability Challenge looks competitive on the page, but its funded-stage floor tightens to $500 (not the wider $750 Phase 1 figure), putting it at $98.00 per $1,000, eighth in this set once the tightest floor is used.
Why futures prop firms skip 5K and 10K accounts
We checked 14 futures prop firms across prior research on their live pricing pages, and every one of them sells its smallest account at $25,000 or higher: Topstep, Tradeify, Apex Trader Funding, MyFundedFutures, FundedNext Futures, TradeDay, Bulenox, Earn2Trade, Take Profit Trader, Top One Futures, DayTraders, TickTick Trader, Phidias, Holaprime Futures. Several of these firms use the numbers $5,000 or $10,000 inside a rule, a profit target, a daily loss floor, or a per-trader withdrawal cap, on a much larger account, which is not the same thing as selling an account of that size. If you landed here searching for a futures prop firm challenge at $5,000 or $10,000, that product does not currently exist; every real $5,000 or $10,000 account in this market trades forex or CFD instruments, not futures.
How we checked these 5K and 10K prop firm accounts

- Exact-size rule: a product qualifies for the $5,000 or $10,000 table only if the firm’s own checkout shows a purchasable account at exactly that size, never a nearby size rounded in.
- Metric: cost per $1,000 of loss room equals list price divided by the smallest max-loss dollar figure the product reaches at any stage, evaluation or funded, times 1,000. A multi-phase product whose floor tightens later is ranked on the tighter figure, not the wider early-phase number.
- EUR conversion: BrightFunded and FTMO publish list prices in euros; both are converted at the ECB EUR/USD rate of 1.1225 dated October 2, 2026, stated once here and shown beside each converted figure.
- Promos: products rank on list price; a promo price is shown as a secondary, dated figure with its code and end date, or “no end date shown” where the firm publishes none.
- Challenge vs. instant: evaluation products and instant, no-evaluation products are never blended into one ranking; instant accounts get their own comparison table.
A discretionary live call-up, where one exists anywhere in this post’s candidate set, is a fact to weigh, not a reason to rank a firm lower; none of the ranked products here carry one that applies before a payout. No firm paid for placement, and this ranking reflects the same checks applied to every firm regardless of any relationship BestProps does or does not have with it.

| 18. Trade The Pool Day Trading FLEX | 1-step | $59 | $200, static | $295.00 | 2% buying power pause | $300 |
Notes on this ranking: Cost per $1,000 is the list price divided by the smallest max-loss figure the product reaches at any stage, evaluation or funded, so a looser Phase 1 limit never flatters a firm. Ties share a number. * Blue Guardian’s floor trails as the account grows, so its loss room can shrink after a winning run. Every product ranked above it has a floor that never moves, led by Alpha Capital Group at $66.00. † BrightFunded prices in euros; converted at the ECB rate of 1.1225 dated October 2, 2026. Its figure moves with the exchange rate: it sits one cent above FundingPips and Instant Funding at $110.00, so any weakening of the euro puts it level with or ahead of both. ‡ FundedFirm’s FAQ and rules page describe its drawdown differently (fixed vs. starting or trailing balance). It is ranked on the fixed reading; if the floor trails, the real loss room is smaller than shown, so confirm with support before buying.

| 19. Trade The Pool Swing Trading MAX | 1-step | $297 | $700, static | $424.29 | 3% buying power pause | $1,500 |
Notes on this ranking: Same method as the $5,000 table; ties share a number. * Blue Guardian ranks first, but its floor trails as the account grows. The cheapest floor that never moves is Goat Funded Trader at $65.00, so a trader who wants a fixed limit should start there. † FTMO and BrightFunded price in euros; converted at the ECB rate of 1.1225 dated October 2, 2026. Both figures move with the exchange rate and sit within about 1% of their neighbours, so a small euro move can put FundedFirm back ahead of FTMO, or swap BrightFunded with FunderPro or Crypto Fund Trader. ‡ FundedFirm’s own pages disagree on whether the floor is fixed or trails; it is ranked on the fixed reading, and the real loss room is smaller if it trails.
Why 5K and 10K accounts cost more per dollar of loss room

No competitor ranking page runs this math at exactly this size band, because the effect is easy to miss on a single firm’s own pricing page: a challenge fee does not shrink in lockstep with the account size, so the smallest accounts usually cost more per dollar of risk budget than the firm’s larger sizes. Audacity Capital’s own Ability Challenge ladder shows the pattern clearly: the $5,000 size costs $98.00 per $1,000 of loss room, and the identical product at $10,000 costs $79.00 per $1,000, a cheaper ratio for exactly the same rules. The5ers’ High Stakes shows the same direction: $70.00 per $1,000 at $5,000, falling as the account size grows across its $5K-to-$500K ladder. A $49 fee on a $5,000 account and a $500 fee on a $100,000 account can carry a very different proportional bite even when the percentage rules are identical, which is exactly why this post computes the dollar ratio directly instead of comparing sticker prices.
Ranked 5K prop firm accounts
Eighteen products qualify for the $5,000 table by selling an exact $5,000 size today. Ranked by cost per $1,000 of loss room using the smallest max-loss dollar figure each product reaches at any stage.
Alpha Capital Group’s Alpha Pro 10% is the cheapest $5K evaluation here, with a static floor and a dated promo
Verdict: First: Alpha Pro 10% turns a $33 list price into a $500 static floor that never trails, the lowest cost per $1,000 of loss room of any $5,000 evaluation in this set, and its ALPHA20 promo is the only one in this set with a real calendar end date.
Video: “Skip the Evaluation. Keep 90%. Start from Day 1. ⚡,” Alpha Capital Group official YouTube channel, July 26, 2026. Source type: vendor-produced. Why selected: Alpha Capital Group’s own Alpha Pro explainer is the closest official video to this product.
Alpha Pro 10% (On-Demand) lists at $33 for a $5,000 account on the firm’s checkout, read October 4, 2026 (promo $26.40 with code ALPHA20, expiring October 31, 2026, the only dated promo expiry in this set), with a $500 static max loss (10% of the initial balance, never trails at any stage): $33 / 0.5 = $66.00 per $1,000 of loss room. There is no activation fee. The target is $500 (10%) in Phase 1 and $250 (5%) in Phase 2. The daily loss limit is 5% of balance, $250 at this size, and hitting it ends the account. The split is 80%, rising to 90% with a paid add-on.
The firm’s cheaper-looking Alpha Pro 6% lists at $27 but buys only a $300 static floor, $90.00 per $1,000, and Alpha Pro 8% ($37, $400 floor) works out to $92.50, so the higher sticker is the better buy on this metric. At $10,000 the order flips: Alpha Pro 8% ($57, $800 floor, $71.25 per $1,000) beats Alpha Pro 10% ($77, $77.00) and Alpha Pro 6% ($47, $78.33), so the $10,000 table ranks Pro 8%. The firm’s separate Alpha One 10% product uses a 6% trailing floor rather than a static one, and there is no reset product at any size: a breach means a brand-new evaluation at full price.
- Price at this size: $33 list ($26.40 with code ALPHA20, expires October 31, 2026) for a $5,000 Alpha Pro 10% On-Demand account.
- The rule that bites: The 5% balance-based daily loss ($250) ends the account, and there is no reset product at any size; a breach means buying a brand-new evaluation at full price.
- Choose it when: You want the lowest cost per $1,000 of loss room at $5,000 with a floor that never trails.
- Watch out for: The first On-Demand payout needs at least 2% gross profit ($100 at this size) and must pass a 40% Best Day Rule, and a 30-consecutive-calendar-day inactivity rule deactivates the account at this size the same as every other size.
- Trustpilot: rating hidden (“breach of our guidelines” banner), 21,810 reviews. Alpha Capital Group profile, payouts.
The5ers’ High Stakes pairs a static $5K floor with a published scaling path to $500K
Verdict: Second: High Stakes’ $500 static floor never trails, and at $70.00 per $1,000 it is the cheapest $5,000 evaluation in this set after Alpha Capital Group’s Alpha Pro 10%, with a published, continuous scaling path from $5K all the way to $500K.
Video: “What Is a Prop Firm? – The Complete Guide for New Traders in 2026! – Start Here!,” The5ers official YouTube channel, January 24, 2026. Source type: vendor-produced. Why selected: The5ers’ own High Stakes rules explainer is the closest official video to this product; no $5K-specific cut exists.
High Stakes (2-Step) lists at $35 for a $5,000 account, with a $500 static max loss (10% absolute, fixed from the initial balance and unchanged through both steps and the funded stage): $35 / 0.5 = $70.00 per $1,000 of loss room. The profit target is $500 in Step 1 (10%) and $250 in Step 2 (5%). The split starts at 80/20 and climbs as the account scales, up to $150K.
The catch at this size: the 5% daily loss ($250 at $5,000) ends the account outright, a harsher daily consequence than The5ers’ own Hyper Growth line, which only pauses trading for the day rather than closing the account. Three minimum profitable days (each at least 0.5% of the initial balance, $25 at $5,000) are required per step, repeating at every scale-up level.
- Price at this size: $35 one-time for a $5,000 High Stakes (2-Step) account.
- The rule that bites: The 5% daily loss is account-ending at this size, unlike The5ers’ own softer Hyper Growth daily pause.
- Choose it when: You want a static floor at close to the lowest cost per $1,000 in this set, paired with an actual multi-size scaling table.
- Watch out for: Three profitable days of at least $25 each are required per step, and the gate repeats at every scale-up level after funding.
- Trustpilot: 4.7/5 on 38,859 reviews. The5ers profile, status.
Goat Funded Trader’s 2 Step GOAT spells out a $300 first-payout cap buyers need in dollars, not percent
Verdict: Third: the $36 sticker ranks ahead of most of the field, but its first-two-payout cap, 6% of account size, binds at exactly $300 on a $5,000 account, a figure worth knowing before the first withdrawal request.
Video: “Goat Funded Trader Prop Firm Explained (full tutorial + real payout proof),” Goat Funded Trader official YouTube channel, November 16, 2025. Source type: vendor-produced. Why selected: Goat Funded Trader’s own explainer of the 2-Step evaluation is the closest official match; no $5K-specific video exists.
2 Step GOAT lists at $36.00 for a $5,000 account (a fixed, no-code special price of $17.00 is shown at checkout for this exact SKU, with no stated end date). The $500 static max loss (10%) ranks this at $36.00 / 0.5 = $72.00 per $1,000 of loss room at list, or $34.00 at the floor price. The combined profit target across both phases is $700: $400 (8%) in Phase 1, then $300 (6%) in Phase 2. The split is 80%, rising to 100% with a paid add-on.
The firm’s own first-two-payout cap (6% of account size, or $10,000, whichever is lower) binds hard at this size: 6% of $5,000 is $300 per payout, far below the $10,000 ceiling that only matters on much larger accounts. A buyer expecting to withdraw a full profit target on the first payout will instead see it capped at $300.
- Price at this size: $36.00 list (fixed no-code price $17.00 shown at checkout) for a $5,000 2 Step GOAT account.
- The rule that bites: The first two payouts are capped at 6% of account size, $300 at $5,000, regardless of how much more profit has accrued.
- Choose it when: You want a cheap two-phase evaluation and can plan around a $300 cap on your first two withdrawals.
- Watch out for: The firm’s $17 floor price applies only to the 2-Step GOAT and Instant HERO products at $5K, not the 1-Step GOAT, which is priced normally.
- Trustpilot: rating hidden (“breach of our guidelines” banner), 4,343 reviews. Goat Funded Trader profile, rules.
Hola Prime’s 2-Step Prime is the cheapest standard-ladder $5K product with no reduced-rule catch
Verdict: Fourth: this is simply the smallest size on Hola Prime’s normal 2-Step Prime ladder, not a stripped-down starter SKU, so every rule is the same one a $100K buyer gets.
Video: no official Hola Prime video covers the 2-Step Prime at $5K specifically, and we do not substitute an affiliate video.
2-Step Prime lists at $39 for a $5,000 account (promo $31.20 with code WELCOME20, no published end date), with a $500 static max loss (10%): $39 / 0.5 = $78.00 per $1,000 of loss room. The target is $400 (8%) in Phase 1, then $250 (5%) in Phase 2, paid on an 80% split on the Bi-Weekly cycle.
The 2% max-risk-per-trade rule (a mandatory stop-loss) only applies once funded, not during either evaluation phase, which is easy to overlook when reading the challenge rules alone. Hola Prime also sells a cheaper 1-Step Prime at $5K ($49) and a pricier instant Direct product at this size; this post ranks the firm’s best-scoring product at $5K, 2-Step Prime, and names the alternatives.
- Price at this size: $39 list ($31.20 with code WELCOME20) for a $5,000 2-Step Prime account.
- The rule that bites: The 2% max-risk-per-trade stop-loss rule only starts once funded, not during the challenge.
- Choose it when: You want a standard-ladder challenge at $5K with no starter-tier restrictions baked in.
- Watch out for: A 30-day inactivity rule closes the account at every size, and a combined $800K forex-and-futures allocation cap counts a $5K account toward the same ceiling as a trader scales.
- Trustpilot: 4.5/5 on 3,856 reviews. Hola Prime profile, status.
FundedNext’s Stellar Lite is the cheapest $5K product that restarts the whole evaluation on a Phase 2 reset
Verdict: Fifth: a competitive $32.99 list price with a static $400 floor, offset by one of the harshest reset rules in this set.
Video: “MT5 Log In Instructions | FundedNext,” FundedNext official YouTube channel, December 17, 2024. Source type: vendor-produced. Why selected: FundedNext’s own Stellar account explainer is the closest official video to this product.
Stellar Lite lists at $32.99 for a $5,000 account (promo $29.99 with code STOCT, shown only as a countdown timer with no calendar end date), with a static $400 max loss (8%): $32.99 / 0.4 = $82.48 per $1,000 of loss room. The target is $400 (8%) in Phase 1, then $200 (4%) in Phase 2, for $600 combined. The split starts at 80%, rising to 90% after Scale-Up.
FundedNext also sells an instant, no-evaluation Stellar Instant at the same $5,000 size for $149.99, roughly six times the challenge’s cost per $1,000 of loss room, a gap shown in the instant-accounts table below.
- Price at this size: $32.99 list ($29.99 with code STOCT, countdown only, no calendar end date) for a $5,000 Stellar Lite account.
- The rule that bites: Requesting a reset in Phase 2 restarts the entire evaluation from Phase 1, not just the failed phase.
- Choose it when: You want the firm’s cheapest real challenge price at $5K and are confident you will not need a Phase 2 reset.
- Watch out for: A 60-day firm-wide inactivity rule deactivates the account at every size, Lite or Instant.
- Trustpilot: 4.5/5 on 80,646 reviews. FundedNext profile, rules.
Blue Guardian’s 1 Step Nano is the cheapest $5K product with a trailing rather than static floor
Verdict: Sixth: the lowest sticker price in the top six, but the only one of the top six whose floor trails the balance high-water mark instead of staying fixed.
