Read the full summary

LucidFlex is Lucid Trading’s one-time-fee futures evaluation in 25K, 50K, 100K and 150K sizes. To pass, you hit a 6% profit target ($1,250 on 25K, $3,000 on 50K, $6,000 on 100K, $9,000 on 150K) with your biggest day at 50% of total profit or less, while staying above an end-of-day trailing max loss limit. The funded account has no consistency rule and no payout buffer. Each payout needs 5 days at a minimum daily profit plus positive net profit in the cycle. A request is at least $500 and at most 50% of profit, capped at $1,000 (25K), $2,000 (50K), $2,500 (100K), $3,000 (150K). The caps do not rise with later payouts, the split is 90/10, and after the fifth payout an account enters Lucid’s live review pool. Checked against Lucid’s help centre on October 13, 2026.

This guide covers one Lucid plan only: LucidFlex, often written as Lucid Flex. It sets out the evaluation rules, the funded account rules, the payout rules and the maximum payout for each account size, and what happens after the last payout. Every rule below was read from Lucid’s own help centre and pricing pages on October 13, 2026. Where the official pages contradict each other, or where a rule depends on when you bought the account, we say so. Lucid changes its plans often, so treat these numbers as a dated snapshot and check the linked source article before you buy or request a payout.

Current terms vs legacy terms

Everything on this page describes LucidFlex accounts sold today. Flex accounts bought or reset on or before February 27, 2026 sit under the legacy live terms, which allow a sixth payout and use a different move-to-live formula (LucidFlex Live (Legacy)). Check your purchase or reset date before applying any number here.

LucidFlex Evaluation Rules

The LucidFlex evaluation is a simulated account with one job: reach the profit target without touching the max loss limit, while keeping your largest day at or under half of your total profit. Lucid lists these features on its evaluation page:

  • One-time fee, no monthly rebilling and no time limit to pass.
  • Upgrade to the funded account within 5 to 30 minutes of hitting the target, with no activation fee.
  • The daily loss limit is optional and is chosen at checkout.
  • No scaling plan during the evaluation: the full position size is available from the first trade.
  • The 50% consistency rule has a small cushion, so Lucid says a two-day pass is possible.

25K and 50K LucidFlex evaluation rules

The two most bought sizes work like this. On a 25K evaluation you need $1,250 of profit, your best day can be about $625 (Lucid’s cushion table allows $650), the end-of-day drawdown is $1,000 and you can hold up to 2 minis or 20 micros. On a 50K evaluation you need $3,000, your best day can be about $1,500 ($1,560 with the cushion), the drawdown is $2,000 and the size limit is 4 minis or 40 micros. Lucid’s evaluation article lists no minimum number of trading days for either size; the consistency rule is what stops a one-day pass.

LucidFlex Consistency Rule: Evaluation Only

Lucid’s formula is: largest single day profit / account profit = consistency percentage. In a LucidFlex evaluation the result must be 50% or less before you can move to the funded account (LucidFlex Consistency Percentage). There is no consistency rule in the LucidFlex funded account, and none once an account is moved live.

Lucid’s own example: on a 50K evaluation, a largest day of $750 when the account reaches the $3,000 target gives $750 / $3,000 = 25%, which passes. If the largest day is above half of total profit, the target is not enough; you keep trading until the largest day falls back to 50% or less of the total.

The consistency cushion

Lucid builds a small cushion into the Flex evaluation so that a trader who splits the target across two days is not failed by a few dollars. Its example table, based on hitting exactly the profit target:

LucidFlex evaluation consistency cushion (Lucid’s example table)
Account sizeProfit target50% of targetLargest day allowed in example
25K$1,250$625$650
50K$3,000$1,500$1,560
100K$6,000$3,000$3,120
150K$9,000$4,500$4,680

Lucid stresses that the cushion is a percentage of the profit you actually earned, not a fixed dollar figure. In its table the allowed day works out to 52% of the target on every size.

Worked example: one big day in a Flex evaluation

How much total profit you need after one large day (strict 50% rule; the cushion lowers this slightly)
Account sizeProfit targetYour largest dayTotal profit needed to passExtra profit beyond target
25K$1,250$1,000$2,000$750
50K$3,000$2,000$4,000$1,000
100K$6,000$4,000$8,000$2,000
150K$9,000$6,000$12,000$3,000

A large first day does not fail the evaluation; it raises the finish line. On a 50K, a $2,000 day means you need about $4,000 in total profit instead of $3,000, while the trailing drawdown keeps following your best closing balance. Spreading the target over three or more sessions avoids the problem.

LucidFlex Funded Account Rules

Once you pass, the LucidFlex funded account keeps the same size, drawdown and contract limit, and drops the consistency rule. Lucid’s funded account article (marked as updated on October 13, 2026) lists: an optional daily loss limit chosen at purchase, no consistency rule, no payout buffer, a 90/10 profit split and an end-of-day trailing drawdown.

100K$3,000Optional ($1,800)Yes6 minis or 60 micros
150K$4,500Optional ($2,700)Yes10 minis or 100 micros
  • No consistency rule. Your best day can be most of your cycle profit and you can still request a payout.
  • No payout buffer. Unlike LucidPro, you do not have to leave a balance above the max loss limit plus $100 untouched before a request.
  • Scaling plan applies. The funded account starts below full size and adds contracts as simulated profit grows.
  • Simulated account, real payouts. Lucid describes the funded account as simulated; payouts are paid in cash, and live capital comes later through Lucid’s live program.

LucidFlex scaling plan

The scaling plan sets how many contracts you can hold based on simulated profit in the funded account. It updates at the end of each session, not during the day, and there is no scaling plan in the evaluation. Because a payout lowers your balance, it can move you down a tier. Lucid says intentionally getting around the limits can lead to the day’s profit being removed.

LucidFlex Drawdown and Max Loss Limit

LucidFlex evaluation and funded accounts use an end-of-day trailing drawdown (LucidFlex Drawdown). At the end of each session, the max loss limit (MLL) moves up to sit a fixed distance below your highest closing balance. Intraday swings do not move it; only closing balances do. The Lucid Flex funded drawdown works the same way as the evaluation drawdown. Once your balance passes the initial trail balance, the MLL locks at the starting balance plus $100 and stops moving. If the balance touches the MLL, the account is breached.

LucidFlex max loss limit, trail and lock levels
Account sizeStarting balanceStarting MLLInitial trail balanceLocked MLL
25K$25,000$24,000$26,100$25,100
50K$50,000$48,000$52,100$50,100

150K$150,000$145,500$154,600$150,100
The payout lock most traders miss

Lucid’s drawdown article says that once you request a payout, the MLL automatically moves to the locked MLL balance, even if your closing balance never reached the initial trail balance. Example on a 25K: you close at $26,000 ($1,000 profit), so the MLL is $25,000. You request the $500 minimum. The balance drops to $25,500 and the MLL jumps to $25,100, leaving only $400 of room. An early minimum payout can leave very little room to trade.

Daily loss limit: on or off

LucidFlex lets you choose the daily loss limit (DLL) when you buy the evaluation (LucidFlex Customization). With it on, a DLL applies in both the evaluation and the funded account and the account is cheaper. With it off, neither phase has a DLL and the price is higher. The DLL is a soft breach: hitting it locks you out until the next session but does not fail the account. You cannot change the setting on an active account; a different setting means buying a new account.

LucidFlex daily loss limit by size (Lucid pricing cards, read October 13, 2026)

50K$1,200+$10 on the evaluation and on resets
100K$1,800+$35 on the evaluation and on resets
150K$2,700+$35 on the evaluation and on resets

Lucid’s pricing card labels the funded figure “DLL (Below Initial Trail)”. The help centre does not say how the Flex DLL behaves after the balance passes the initial trail balance, so ask support if that matters to your plan.

LucidFlex Payout Rules

Lucid calls the Lucid Flex payout policy its simplest payout system. Two conditions decide whether you can request a payout, and both reset after every approved payout (LucidFlex Payouts):

  1. Five profitable days in the cycle. Earn at least the minimum daily profit on 5 separate days: $100 on 25K, $150 on 50K, $200 on 100K, $250 on 150K. Days do not need to be in a row.
  2. Positive net profit in the cycle. The account must be up overall since the last payout, even by $1.
  3. Request between $500 and the cap. The minimum request is $500. The maximum is 50% of profit, up to the cap for your size.
  4. Do not trade the balance away before approval. If a trade drops your balance below the required amount before the payout is processed, Lucid may deny the request. Requests are final once submitted and cannot be edited or cancelled.
LucidFlex payout requirements by account size (checked October 13, 2026)
Account sizeProfitable days neededMinimum profit per dayMinimum requestMaximum request
25K5$100$50050% of profit, up to $1,000
50K5$150$50050% of profit, up to $2,000
100K5$200$50050% of profit, up to $2,500
150K5$250$50050% of profit, up to $3,000

There is no fixed payout window: you can request on any day once both conditions are met. All Flex payouts are split 90% to you and 10% to Lucid. There is no payout buffer to leave in the account.

Wording conflict in Lucid’s payout article

The prose of Lucid’s LucidFlex payout article says traders may request “50% of their account balance” up to the cap, while its table says “50% of Profit”. Fifty percent of a $50,000 balance would always exceed the cap, so the table’s reading (50% of profit) is the one that has any effect, and it is the one used on this page. Confirm with support if you plan close to the line.

LucidFlex payout split and fees

The split is 90/10 on every Flex payout. Lucid charges commissions per side by contract, for example $1.75 on ES and NQ and $0.50 on MES and MNQ (Approved Products and Commissions). Lucid’s Flex article does not say whether the minimum daily profit is measured before or after commissions, so plan for the net figure.

LucidFlex Max Payout by Account Size

The cap is the most important Flex number, and Lucid’s article states that “the maximums here do not scale up with more payouts”. Unlike LucidPro, the first and the fifth request have the same ceiling. Because each request is also limited to 50% of profit, you need twice the cap in profit to request the cap.

LucidFlex maximum payout per account size (90/10 split shown on the request amount)
Account sizeMax requestProfit needed for max requestProfit needed for $500 minimumYour 90% of a max request5 max requests (gross)Your 90% of 5 max requests
25K$1,000$2,000$1,000$900$5,000$4,500
50K$2,000$4,000$1,000$1,800$10,000$9,000
100K$2,500$5,000$1,000$2,250$12,500$11,250
150K$3,000$6,000$1,000$2,700$15,000$13,500

Lucid does not say whether the cap applies before or after the 90/10 split. The table applies the split to the request amount, which is the conservative reading.

Max payout on a LucidFlex 25K

The max payout on a LucidFlex 25K is $1,000 per request, and you need $2,000 of account profit to ask for it. At 90/10 that is $900 to you. Five full requests come to $5,000 gross. The minimum $500 request needs $1,000 of profit, so on a 25K the minimum is half of the maximum.

Max payout on a LucidFlex 50K

The LucidFlex 50K max payout is $2,000 per request, available once account profit reaches $4,000. That is $1,800 after the split, and five full requests total $10,000 gross. Your five qualifying days must each make at least $150.

Max payout on LucidFlex 100K and 150K

The 100K cap is $2,500 and the 150K cap is $3,000. The larger sizes cost much more ($258 and $372 list) but raise the cap only modestly over the 50K: a 150K’s cap is 1.5 times the 50K’s for 2.7 times the list price. Traders who want more cash out per cycle often compare several smaller accounts with one large one, within Lucid’s account limits.

Worked example: two payouts on a 50K LucidFlex

$53,000
Balance after 5 days
$3,000
Account profit
$1,500
Request (50%)
$1,350
Your 90%
$50,100
MLL after request
  1. You pass and start the funded 50K at $50,000. Over the cycle you make at least $150 on five separate days and close at $53,000.
  2. Account profit is $3,000. Half of that is $1,500, below the $2,000 cap, so the most you can request is $1,500. At 90/10 you receive $1,350.
  3. After the request the balance is $51,500 and the MLL moves to the locked $50,100, so you have $1,400 of room. Simulated profit is now $1,500, so the scaling plan allows 3 minis or 30 micros.
  4. In the next cycle you need five new $150 days and positive net profit. Grow the balance to $54,000 ($4,000 profit) and the 50% rule allows the full $2,000 cap, or $1,800 to you.

Requesting the cap every time means each later cycle must add about one cap of new profit. On a 50K, five full payouts need roughly $12,000 of total trading profit: $4,000 before the first and $2,000 before each of the next four. That leaves about $2,000 of simulated profit in the account at the end.

Total profit needed to take five maximum payouts (if every request is at the cap)

LucidFlex Payout Timing and Methods

Once a request is approved, Lucid deducts the funds from the account within a few minutes and sends them to your payout method within 2 business days (LucidFlex Payouts). Methods listed in the Payout Methods article:

PlaidU.S.-based tradersInstant bank transfer; connect under Dashboard > Payouts > Add Bank Account
WorkMarket by ADPU.S. and international tradersBank transfer or PayPal; funds typically as early as the next business day

Lucid publishes no payout processing fee in these articles. Some third-party reviews quote payouts in about 15 minutes; Lucid’s own wording is “within 2 business days”.

What Happens After Your Fifth LucidFlex Payout

The Flex payout article says traders may take up to 5 payouts from each account, “after which they will be moved live”. Lucid’s New Live Structure article is more careful: Payout 5 puts you in the live review pool, it is “the maximum payout level, not a guaranteed minimum for live eligibility”, and all live moves are at the risk team’s discretion. The newer live article is the controlling text, so do not plan on an automatic promotion.

  • Every eligible funded account becomes one live account. A funded account must have at least one payout to qualify, and all simulated accounts are closed when you move live.
  • Live starts at a $0 balance. The live drawdown equals the funded MLL ($1,000 on 25K, $2,000 on 50K, $3,000 on 100K, $4,500 on 150K), with daily payouts, end-of-day drawdown and no daily loss limit.
  • Repeatable live bonus. Make $2,000, $4,000, $6,000, $9,000 of live profit (25K to 150K) and complete 20 trading days to earn a bonus of $1,000, $2,000, $3,000, $4,500, split 90/10.
  • Cashout option. If you do not want to trade live, Lucid offers a cashout equal to 50% of the live starting balance, split 90/10. If you make no choice within 24 hours of the move-to-live email, the accounts move live automatically.
  • Household rule. If one household member trades live, the others may not trade simulated accounts.

Simulated profit left in a Flex account after the last payout does not become live capital under the current structure: the live account starts at $0, and the simulated account is closed. Lucid refunds the evaluation fee of a funded account that is not moved live because it never received a payout, provided at least 50% of its drawdown remains.

Legacy LucidFlex accounts (bought or reset on or before February 27, 2026)

Older Flex accounts follow the legacy live rules: the move to live comes after the sixth and final payout, or earlier at the risk team’s discretion, and simulated profit is moved live up to a cap, with part paid in on day one and the rest held in escrow.

Legacy LucidFlex move-to-live caps (accounts bought or reset on or before Feb 27, 2026)
Account sizeMax moved live per accountDeposited on day 1
25K$4,000$1,200
50K$8,000$2,400
100K$12,000$3,600
150K$16,000$4,800

Escrow is released at $5,000 for every $10,000 of extra live profit, after 10 profitable live days and $10,000 of live profit, with a 60-day wait before withdrawal. Traders who received a move-to-live email on or before January 31, 2026 could instead keep an older structure with a $5,000 move-to-live cap per Flex account. Profit above any cap is forfeited.

How Many LucidFlex Accounts Can You Have?

Lucid’s account limits are per household or family and are shared across plans (Maximum Number of Accounts):

Lucid Trading account limits
Account typeLimitHow it is shared
EvaluationsUp to 10 activeEvaluations plus funded accounts cannot exceed 10 in total
Funded accountsUp to 5 activeAll funded plan types combined (Flex, Pro, Direct and others) cannot exceed 5
Live accountsUp to 5 activePer household or family

So you can hold up to 5 funded LucidFlex accounts if you have no other Lucid funded accounts, plus 5 evaluations in reserve. Reserve evaluations can still be traded. Be aware that every simulated account, including reserve evaluations, is closed when you are moved live.

Hedging across Flex accounts is banned

Lucid prohibits opposite positions in the same or correlated contracts across accounts, including long ES in one account and short NQ in another (Prohibited: Hedging). Flagged accounts are reset to the prior day’s balance without resetting drawdown; repeat cases lead to breaches and possible permanent restriction.

What a LucidFlex Account Costs

LucidFlex is a one-time fee with no activation fee. The prices below are the list prices in the pricing data on Lucid’s homepage on October 13, 2026. The site’s banner also promotes the code VAULT, which that data sets at 30% off evaluations and 0% off resets, and a limited-time discount of $5 (25K, 50K) or $10 (100K, 150K) when the DLL is left on. On the day we checked, the pricing cards showed “Get final price at checkout” rather than a price. These figures were read from Lucid’s public pages on October 13, 2026 and not verified by purchase; current offers are tracked on our Lucid Trading deals page.

A single $500 minimum payout ($450 after the split) is more than the list price of any Flex evaluation, so one payout recovers the fee on every size. Resets are bought from the dashboard after a breach; a breached evaluation that is not reset is deleted after 30 days.

LucidFlex vs LucidPro: Which Rules Fit You

LucidPro is Lucid’s other standard evaluation plan. Its payout rules (LucidPro Payouts) trade a consistency rule a
