Drawdown Checks
- Daily reset: the checked model pages say the daily drawdown resets at 5 p.m. EST and uses the higher of balance or equity at reset.
- Trailing models: Instant Standard and 1 Step Standard use trailing maximum drawdown language in the checked sources.
- Static model: 2 Step Standard uses an 8% static maximum total-loss rule in the checked source.
- Not equivalent: a 6% trailing drawdown and an 8% static drawdown are different risk profiles. Do not compare the percentages without checking how each rule moves.
- Platform reset source: Blue Guardian’s platform-rules article also states that the maximum daily loss limit resets at 5 p.m. EST and that trades carried past reset can affect the next trading day.
